Determination of Rate of Exchange

Hi All,
There is a requirement to determine the Exchange rate at the based on Billing date for the billing type ZF1.
I can change the settings in copy control and make it as "C" for Pricing Exchange Rate Type.
But what there are two exchange rate types
1) M - Standard translation at Average rate
2) ZIC - Intecompany exchange rate
My requirment is to apply the change only for "M" not for "ZIC".
Please suggest.

Jagadish

Hi All,
Now there is a new requirment for the determination of ROE.
Earlier i had configured the PricingExchRate type as "E" in the copy control setting for delivery to Billing. Now this is working based on the Current date.
But the new requirment for the Manual conditon type ZZ03 the ROE has to be determined based on the current date and the problem is we have a existing configuration for Pricing type as "C" which is nothing but copy manual conditons and re-determine others.
If i do the update pricing in  the Invoice document and re-enter the condtion type ZZ03 the ROE is calculated based on the current date. But when the value of condition type is copied from sales order the ROE is not getting re-determined. Because of the configuration in copy control for Pricing type as "C"
Is there any userexit to overwrite the standard configuration only for conditon type ZZ03(which is manual codition type)

    Dear sap gurus,
client requirement is to ROE should be redetermined at the billing date.
copy control settings if we maintain c in vtfl at item level, will it solve my purpose.
i am wonder as of now how this ROE is determined by the system.
pls explain me the basic of how ROE is determined.
    regards

    Dear Phani,
    Wellcome back...
I guess my reply to your post on 12.10.2009 explains the your current issue.
Anyways, the Exchange Rate determined based on the following:
    1. Manual Entry (in Sales Order - exchange Rate feild. (This Manual entry has a priority over all others)
    2. If the Exchange Rate feild is blank then system takes Pricing Date as the base & looks for the exchange rate in OB08 for that date.
Here (for point no. 2 you have following options in Item Level Copy controls:
    Pricing Exhange Rate Type (V_TVCPFLP-PFKUR)
    A Copy from sales order
B Price exchange rate = Accouting rate
C Exchange rate determination according to billing date
D Exchange rate determination according to pricing date
E Exchange rate determination according to current date
F Exch.rate determination accord.to date of services rendered
    Hope this helps...

  • Exchange rate, Plan exchange rate Programs & Function modules in SAPBW ....

    Hi Friends,
Could anybody please tell me what are the  " Exchange rate, & Plan exchange rate " Programs & Function modules.
If any customized also , I can do modify and i will use it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ramesh

    Hi there
Exchange rates are used for currency conversion rules in queries, data loads, etc.
You can export exchange rates from R/3 (or other system) to SAP BI, and change them or define your own exchange rates.
For planning, you can create exchange rates specifically for that purpose.
In currecny conversion rules you can tell the system which exchange rate to use (for example EURX from EUR->USD)
To view/mantain exchange rates go to transaction SPRO->SAP Reference IMG->SAP Netweaver->General Settings->Currencies->Enter Exchange Rates
    Diogo.

  • Exchange rate, plan exchange rate Programs & Function modules in SAP ....

    Hi Friends,
Could anybody please tell me  what are the  " Exchange rate " & Plan exchange rate "  standard programs, function modules  avaialble in SAP  .
    Thanks in advance,
    Ramesh.

Check via transaction OB07 (or SPRO - General Settings - Currencies - Check exchange rate types) usually you will find a "M" average exchange rate (which is used operationally everywhere in Logistics) and a "P" planned exchange rate (used for cost planning)
Exchange rates are maintained via transaction OB08 (or SPRO, same tree - last node - Enter exchange rates)
When programming, use tables TCUR* or FM of function groups like SCUR "Translation of Currency Amounts etc." (CONVERT_TO_FOREIGN_CURRENCY, CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY and READ_EXCHANGE_RATE among others)

  • How Do You Determine Flat Rates?

I usually charge by the hour but I'm curious how other editors determine flat rates at a client's request. In my particular instance, I've been asked to edit a 6-camera mutli-can concert shoot. The client will supply all materials and choose the specific songs they want for a 1-hour final cut. Afterwards I'll author a DVD complete with motion menus and bonus materials. I'm finding it challenging to determine how may hours this may take ahead of time. It's easy to determine the capturing and outputing and transcoding times but I'll have to guesstimate real editing time. Any thoughts?

    Always overestimate. Give them freebies.
I overestimate time and tell the clients that it's a "safe" estimate, then knock a few hours off their bill when the job is complete. They're under budget now, and I'm still making a good profit. Everybody's a winner.
Tell them the encode is free, but add a few hours somewhere else. (You'll do the encode while you sleep anyway, right?)
Keep in mind when setting your hourly rate that they're not just paying for you, they're paying for your system as well.
Also, are you editing the full show, then cutting out songs they don't want? Make sure you account for that as well.
I always overestimate. Period. Then you have leeway before or after they accept the bid. Maybe you're a bit over their budget? Give them the hour of render time and sync time for free. They think they're getting a better deal, you're making that money up somewhere else, anyway.
Also, if you overestimate in every area, when you come upon an unexpected expense somewhere else, you have money somewhere. Example, I'm just burning masters for a DVD I just completed. I neglected to factor in a $700 rush fee from the replicator when I quoted the job. Luckily, I overestimated $1000 for gear from the shoot. I take that $700 from there and still bill $300 less than the estimate.
Leave yourself extra everywhere you can. If there's a ton left over, make your client the hero and bill a little less. If there's just a bit left over, keep it and buy yourself something pretty.

  • Price Difference due to rate of exchange

    Hello,
I am looking for a customizing step to regulate price differences due to rate of exchange from PO to the Invoice.
I need to customize in order to add this difference to material moving average price, instead of using PRD.
Could you please help me to regulate this price difference procedure?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards,

    Hi Irem Soydan,
You need to customize in OBYC settings, Assign a GL account to Transaction event key KDG(MM Exchange Rate Differences).
If any exchange rate differences occur while doing MM transactions, The differences are posted to the account maintained in KDG

  • Spot rate and Exchange rate

    Dear SDN's
    I want to know,
What is spot rate in FI?
What is difference between spot rate and exchange rate?
where we can find this spot rate in R/3?
i am doing report for FI where the client want this spot rate? where the client is not maintaining any practice in R/3 for this spot rate. i would be very grateful for your valuable suggestions.
    Good day,
    thanks and regards
    Arun

    Hi
A forward exchange transaction can be regarded as a future spot exchange transaction, because it comprises the future purchase or sales of foreign exchange.
Check the link for more info
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/3f/f2fb76a87711d198b00000e8a5999a/frameset.htm
You use spot exchange transactions to buy and sell internationally traded currencies against other currencies. These orders have very short expiry terms. It is a binding agreement for the immediate exchange of foreign exchange. As a rule, the foreign exchange is credited or delivered two days after conclusion of the business transaction.

  • Rate of exchange gets change at the time of currency change in CRM to ECC

    Dear Experts,
If we create the sales order manually in ECC and doing the

The issue is when we change the Sales Order in
CRM it is perfectly replicated in ECC with the same values as in CRM. But at

  • Exchange Rate from Exchange Rate Table

    Dear All,
Is there any way to make the system to take the exchange rate from the Exchange Rate table and not from the base document when we are "Copy To" functionality instead of "Copy From"?
I unchecked "Use Document Exchange Rate When Copying to Target Document" in Document Settings but the system still copies the exchange rate from the base document.
    Regards,
    Bharath S

    Hi Bharath.....
Do the settings once again as you mentioned and just restart all the services of SAP and restart server also.
And then try whether it works or not.
Its wired but sometimes when we refresh the system the settings we made gets applied that moment only........
    Please check.....

  • Error when calling MRM_INVOICE_PARK - Rate type/exchange rate

    Greetings gurus-
When calling MRM_INVOICE_PARK, we receive an error when trying to make a simple update that adds a payment block to a pre-existing invoice.
The error is: Enter rate THB / USD rate type M for 00.00.0000 in the system settings
We only get this error when we have a vendor set up to use withholding tax, and only when we park. If we post the invoice directly or park an invoice without withholding tax we don't see this issue.
I have entered the configuration in transaction OB08, and I believe I have the withholding tax configuration done properly, has anyone seen a similar issue before, or can you point me to where I might be missing some config that resolved the issue?
    Thank you,
    Andy

  • Error 21 - unable to determine conversion rate to replicate journal

    Hello Guru's
we are getting the above error while posting the GL enteries. This is done from INR to USD. We have a Primary Ledger in INR and Secondary in USD. Which is linked to each other. Please help on this . We have defined the Corporate rates. Please help me on this. We need to post to GL
    Thanks

    Hi,
Initially check if your conversion rates are defined, for INR and USD then if you have defined currencies other than USD define conversion rates for those currencies. Example if you have defined AUD currency define conversion rates for AUD INR and AUD USD.... Then check the secondary ledger mapping(Segment level mapping) where the segment mapping in target ledger can be greater than or equal to the segments in source ledger but it should be less.
Hope this will clear your problem

  • Account determination - exchange rate and valuation

    Hello All,
we have a problem concerning our account determination for differences in exchange rate and valuation. When clearing open vendor items in foreign currency, a percentage of the difference goes to our exchange rate difference account (correct), but the other part of our difference goes to the account we have configured for valuation (incorrect).
Before, we had, in "Account Determination for OI Exch.rate differences" (transaction FBKP) , the following configuration for all our accounts in foreign currency:
    Exchange rate difference realized:
    Loss: 66800000
    Gain: 76800000
    Valuation
    Val Loss: 66800100
    Val Gain: 13600000
    Bal sheet adj: 40099999
Now, we have the same accounts, except for "Bal sheet adj", for which we have 5 different accounts depending on the account to be valued. This change shouldn't have any effect, but since then, every time we clear an open item (KR and KZ), one part of the difference goes to an exchange rate difference account, while another part goes to valuation, when this last account should only be used when running F.05.
    Any help?
    thanks
    Daniel

    Asha,
Revaluation is a 2 step process - In the first step, the documents entered in FC are converted into LC and then in the second step all the LC is converted into GC using the GAAP/Quarterly Rate.
During the first step, the difference is posted to a P/L Account and during the second step, the difference is posted to a B/S Account.
Coming to the open item clearing getting posted to the same accont defined in the step 1 - I would ask how are you doing the open item clearing ?
If it's manual through F-44, then i would say the accounts you are mentioning during clearing are wrong.
If it's through Payment Run, You would have to go FBZP -> Bank Selection and then check the g/l accounts mentioned over there.
    Hope it helps..
    Thanks,
    Nandita

  • Determination of current exchange rate in the cancellation billing document

    Hi All,
I have a requirement which I have described below. It would be helpful if you can mail your suggestions on the below.
    Existing logic in SAP:
While CANCELLING a billing document(VF11), system copies the exchange rate from the original billing document. The same is transferred to accounting from the header of the billing document. VBRK–KURRF to BKPF-KURSF.
    Change Requirement:
While CANCELLING a billing document, system should determine the exchange rate based on the current date (Date of cancellation)
The same should get transferred to accounting.
Example: Invoice dated 01.01.2005 if cancelled on 15.05.2006; the exchange rate should determine the rate that is valid for 15.05.2006 and not copy from the original invoice.
So VBRK–KURRF should not get copied from the Original billing document, but it should redetermine the rate based on the current date.
I need to know if there are any Exits or Bapi's or any kind of customization that I can do for this requirement.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Midhun.
    Ph: +49 1520 4358506

    Hi midhun ,
    This is sai ,
I dont know whether this is precise solution for your rpoblem or not . but i have an idea regarding that
If the document is reversed then another document will be created for reversal
So in document type settings you have an option for using another exchange rate
