Determination of storage location

Hi Gurus,
         If we do all the settings for storage location determination,it will not been determined at sales order level, it will e determined only at delivery level.
        if i want to get manually at sales orde level what to do?
                 suggest me some ideas

Dear Kiran
You can bring the storage location in sale order level itself.  For that in material master, select "<b>MRP2</b>" view and enter the storage location in the field "<b>Prod.stor.location</b>", from which you would like to invoice. 
Once you define here, you can test it by creating a sale order.

    Dear All,
    I have one question on batches when I am entering stock against batches in Outbound Delivery Note (as batch split ) the batch determining the storage location is different not the one which it belongs to, I need the batch stock should be determine in same storage location not the different one.
    For example: I have 5 storage locations, each storage location contain 5 to 6 batches;
    Storage Location: WO1, WO2, WO3, W04 AND WO5
    Batches: A1,B1,C1,D1,E1 etc.
      Stor. Loc    Batches
    1. W01:             B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6
    2. W02:             A1, A2, A3, A4, A5
    3. W03:             C1, C2, C3, C4, C5
    4. W04:             D1, D2 D3, D4, D5
    5. W05:             E1, E2, E3, E4, E5
    I. If I enter B1 and stock 10kg then it automatically determining storage location as W02. Actually it belongs to storage location W01 it should be the same W01only
    II. If I enter C1 and stock some 15kg then also it automatically determining storage location as W02. Actually it belongs to storage location W03 it should be the same W03.
    Kindly give me the solution.

  • ATP and Route Determination at Storage Location Level

    Hi Experts,
    I'm working on a project currently and one of the requirements is to have ATP and Route Determination at Storage Location level. I know SAP standard for this is at plant level but was wondering if anyone has had this requirement before, and if so what course of action they took to solve this issue.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Mark,
    in my previous project we have a customized table created for all the route determination and used mv45afzz move field to vbap to determined the route.
    not sure if there is a easier solution but at least it is doable through customization for sure.

  • Purchase info record for PO determine by Storage location

    Dear Guru,
    Can you please advice when during the creation of PO, is there possible to determine the Purchase info record by the Purchasing Org, material, Vendor as well as "Storage Location".
    Reason,
    Sometime we need to raise the PO those customer who will be exempted from the governamt VAT or duty which the goods has to delivery to the country Bonded warehouse.
    I created 2 Storage location;
    1.) 1000 for general WH
    2.) 2000 for Bonded Wh
    So i would like to know if we can create 2 different info record determine by Storage Location?

  • MIGO: determination of storage location for empties

    Hello SD experts,
    Case: plant A delivers materials to plant B (interplant delivery). This delivery is posted GR through TC MIGO (based on delivery). Now, the issue is that SAP is not able to automatically determine the storage location for the empties (crates and crate containers). Can ayone tell me how we can let SAP do this automatically?
    Currently, we use WM for all finished products (storage location 0100). Empties are however not WM managed (storage location 0110). Empties are calculated and added in the delivery (user exit MV50AFZ1); not in the sales order.

    - If storage location for picking is not specified in the order item, the system determines the storage location when it creates the outbound delivery and copies it into the delivery item. Otherwise, the storage location entered in the order item is used in the outbound delivery.
    - The system determines the picking location based on a rule defined in the delivery type. The following rules are shipped in the standard system:
    - MALA: The picking location is determined based on the shipping point, the delivering plant, and the storage condition for the material as defined in the material master.
    - RETA and MARE: These rules are mainly used in trade scenarios.
    - You can also use the customer exit in SAP enhancement V02V0002 to implement storage location determination.
    - The picking location search is activated for each delivery item category.

    I want that while creating delivery with reference to RE sales document the storage location should be determined automatically.

    Hello All,
    Storage location not getting determined in SO, every time when i update picking i have to manually enter the storage location.
    I saw few of the response in the SCN but one thing i noticed in my system was, when i enter OVLQ i don't see OR order type, and for order type BV which is present in system assigned to MALA but still when i am creating CS order still storage location is getting determined.
    Please help me to resolve this issue.

    OVLQ is Delivery type and storage location determination and not for sales order type as you assumed
    As per standard for BV cash sales order type subsequent Delivery Type is BV and hence you can see the value MALA against BV
    Just check for LF delivery type there would be storage location determination assignment
    Storage location is determined at Delivery level and not at order level

  • Storage location custom determination in MRP both for Make that for comps

    Hi experts,
    i have a  requirements enough difficult for me and i'm in trouble.
    I try to summarize.
    i have one sap plant but differents building using different warehouse and work centers. The requirements from my customers are the following:
    During MRP run planned orders for make materials have to contain the receiving storage location that may be XXX if  make material is used as comnponents in an other planned o production order that uses a work center mapped in the same XXX storage location ord may be YYY if is used in an other planned order/production order a work center mapped in another building/storage location.
    Contemporary the issue storage location of the components present in the planned order (retrieved from BOM) have to contain a storage location that depends on the work center of retrieved routing.
    Is there any BAdi or other suggestion to do this and obtain it in one run of MRP? also because once modified the issue storage location of the components this will be the input for creating properly the Purchasing Requisition item to the correct Storage location.
    Last point is that this logic have to apply also in creating manually a production order or performing a "Read PP master data function" inside a production order not yet released.
    Do you feel feasible a development like this?
    or do you suggest a workaround?

    Hi,
    we do not maintain in BOM or in prod. Sloc. in material master data. The flow is a discrete production wiht SAP-PS so i noticed that supply area in work center doesn't affect the storage location determination. So i need determine with 2 different logic the receiving storage location for the assembly (based on a custom way) and then determine the storage location for the components as the same of st. location linked to supply area in work center (all materials of the bom are linked to the first operation of the routing). The sloc of the components of the bom have to determined in that way because i need that the related purchasing requisition have to be created in the correct storage location (the one of the work center in which the material is used).

  • Stock determination finds deleted storage location

    Hello gurus,
    we are using stock determination in MIGO for goods receipts to automatically determine the correct storage location for delivered goods.
    Now we deleted one storage location and moved all materials stored there to another one.
    But still, for certain materials, the stock determination gives the old location. Then, when we try to post the receipt, there is (of course) an error because the storage location has been deleted.
    We use only one very simple stock determination strategy with just one item:
    Special stock indicator: F (unrestricted-use stock)
    Priority indicator: 1
    Any ideas, why the old location could be found?

    no, I did not remove that item, because it was not even there in the first place.
    As I wrote in my OP, there is only one item with
    Special stock indicator: F (unrestricted-use stock)
    Priority indicator: 1
    The storage location is blank!
    I never used stock determination before and I know it is normally used for goods issue only, but in this system, there definately is an button called "stock determination" in MIGO for goods receipts. And when I click on it, the system determines a storage location where the material is stored. This works perfectly, except for the materials with blocked locations.

    Fine, but we have some picking rules are MALA, RETA and MARE.
    Currently we have onle on plant 1010 and shipping point 1010.
    storage location for outbound deliveries determined based on MALA rule has been assigned to LF.
    can we use RETA or MARE to determine the storage location for returns delivery.  If yes kindly
    explain. And where is storage condtion available in sap.

    I am on an implemenation where the integration is between CRM, EWM and GATP. So, consider the situation where the sales order check is done through CRM and a call to GATP is made.
    Some background on supply
    EWM would like to receive the goods into storage location ROD (Received On Dock) and then do a movement type to move it to storage location AFS (Available For Sale). The sales orders should consider only the supply from storage location AFS and not ROD.
    First question is, is it possible to do a storage location level determination in CRM? I don't think so but wanted to confirm. The reason is because even a plant determination is not possible in CRM when you integrate with GATP (the plant is determined through Rules).
    Now, suppose that we have determined the storage location called AFS (in gATP through enhancement) and will do an ATP only at that level in GATP. Suppose that the first plant that will be checked is Plant A and then based on the location determination procedure, the next plant that will be checked is Plant B. When the system checks supply at Plant B, then the question is this: will it still check only at storage location AFS in Plant B or will it check at the plant level? The requirement will be to check at the same storage location level (which means that whatever process we used to determine the storage location at Plant A has to be followed for Plant B also).
    One option that can be considered is to check at the Storage Location MRP Area level (there seems to be better support for RBA and Storage Location MRP Area than just storage location). See SAP Note 412314. But this is also complicated.
    Another option is to not check at the storage location level but represent the various stocks with stock types (stock type ROD and stock type AFS) and only the stock type AFS will be used in the list of ATP categories.
    Please share any experience that you may have in this.

    What we did is as follows:
    - We created a Z table which had entries for all plants and preferred storage locations for those plant (only one entry per plant) in your case it will be like:
    Plant A - AFC
    Plant B - AFC
    Plant C - AFC
    - We used a ATP user exit in APO to get the storage location of source plant ( which was determined in APO via rules) from the Z table.

    In IMG-Logistics general-HUM-Basics-MM-IM-HU req for SL and default values for deliveries
    Select the plant and click Sto Loc there u can find HU ReQ, Check that HU Req Box.
    If you set this indicator for a storage location, the system does not create a material document when it carries out a posting, but creates a delivery via Shipping

    While making a production /process order the storage location of component materials is not getting copied from material master into the process order, it is showing any default storage location.
    What couls be the reason for it..
    For all components it is defaulting the same storage location.

    Check in BOM component details storage location you have defined.
    Check production storage location from the plant segment of the component is taken into account for the use of MRP areas also. When planned order is being created for the superior assembly in a MRP area?
    Also check the Material requirements planning (PP-MRP)
    --> planning process
      --> BOM explosion and dependent requirements determination
        --> storage location determination for BOM explosion
