Determine dynamically option in logo upload in smartforms

hi all,
I have a logo uploaded in either color or black and white. when I select the option 'determine dynamically'
, its giving error that graphic can not be displayed.
How should I resolve this error.
Please help.

But I know how to give the logo name dynamically.
I was asking about the 3rd option in the logo window (Detemine Dynamically(BMON,BCOL)).
I have some of the logos uploaded in b&w and some logos uploaded in color.
How should I determine at the run time that this logo is color one or dynamic one.?

I use method cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload to upload files and save the binary data in the database. to preview the filetype (pdf, doc, jpg, ...) later i also need to store the mimetype.
but how can I determine the mimetype of an uploaded file if several file extensions/formats are possible?

call the function SKWF_MIMETYPE_OF_FILE_GET
for this pass the filename , you will get the mime type.

Error while uploading the smartforms

Hi Experts,
I have uploaded the smartforms for CRM create sales order but when i upload the smartform and activate it gives error message that "A serious error has occurred
The transaction had to be terminated' Press the "Yes" button
to download the data required for further support to the front end" Pls reply ASAP its very urgent.

      please follow the below steps....which i tried in my system....
    1) i have downloaded form(YFORM) to the physical drive
            1.1 smartforms-->utilities...> download Form-->it will prompt with form name ... (YFORM) ...> Press enter...
            1.2   for will be downloaded into the desired location.
     2) to upload the form....
          2.1.    smartforms-->utilities...> upload Form-->it will prompt with NEW form name ... (YFORM_1) ...> Press enter...
         2.2. open the form in change mode and CTR+F2 , Ctr+F3.
         2.3 It has activated for me....
     3) i hope it will solve the problem....

Problem in dynamically generating the file upload field

I am using netbeans 5.5 and visualwebpack for my jsf project.
i have a problem in dynamically generating the file upload field and using it.
I have a panel say "panelA" which holds file upload fields.
Depending upon the count value i generate the file upload field using following code snippet:
Upload upload1 = new Upload();
upload1.setId("upload1");
getPanelA.getChildren().add(upload1);
The page successfully shows up the file upload fields. While the user clicks the submit button, i have used following logic to perform upload:
List components = getPanelA().getChildren();
for(int i = 0; i<components.size(); i++){
if(components.get(i) instanceof Upload){
UploadedFile uploadedFile = ((Upload)components.get(i)).getUploadedFile();
I am getting this UploadedFile object null.
How can i solve this problem.

Anyway,
I solved the problem.
Actually i was using label property of the upload field due to which i got null pointer exception.
I removed the label property of the upload field and things worked as i wanted.

If you're talking about the dynamic POV in web forms introduced in 11.1.2.2.302, documentation only exists in the patch readme at this time. I've pasted it below.
Support for Dynamic POV Member Lists in Web Data Forms
This release provides support for dynamic POV member lists in Web Data Forms. You can create dynamic POV member lists to display dimension members that meet specific criteria. Dynamic POV member lists are created dynamically at runtime, based on the current POV member of one or more dimensions.
Using dynamic POV member lists in data forms enables you to quickly populate rows and columns with valid members, depending on what has been selected in the POV. For example, you can create a dynamic POV member list that defines valid entities per year. When you select a year in the data form, the system displays only the valid entities that were defined in the member list for that year.

If the dimension is not in the form POV, then the HS.MemberList<object> rule returns an empty string.
Administrators define dynamic POV member lists in application member list files. Dynamic POV member lists are identified with the (@POV) suffix, for example, <ValidForEntity>(@POV). Each member list file must include an EnumMemberLists subroutine to specify which dimensions have dynamic POV member lists, the number of lists for each dimension, and the name of each member list. The member list file must also include an EnumMembersInList subroutine to define the members in the list.
Administrators can then add dynamic POV member lists to a form when they define the data form, in the same way that they add other member lists.
In an application that has dynamic POV member lists defined, users can then use the Form Designer to select member lists for the rows and columns of the form. From the Member Selection dialog box, the valid dynamic POV member lists for the current dimension are displayed with an @POV suffix at the bottom of the dialog box, and users can select them in the same way as other members.

Just yesterday, I was getting the iTunes cannot connect message... it's happened prior to the iPhone..it just happens from time to time... I guess sometimes it just has some kind of connection error with the server. Nothing to be concerned about..that's on their side..not yours!

Dynamically place a Logo in Report 6i

I need to dynamically place the logo in the report output depending on the particular person name.
For eg:if person1 is selected then logo "A" should appear.
if person2 is selected then logo "B" should appear. and so on

Are you trying to return a different logo for each user that logs on?
If so, I would create a table with two columns: username and logoname.
You could then create a function on the database which returns the logoname, with the username as a parameter passed in.
This could be called within the report, and used to return the full url of the logo.
Alternatively, if each logo is specific to one user only, you could name the logos the same as the users and concatenate the username onto a generic logo url:
~/logos/||<username>.jpg

We want to show some dynamic option from a data set which should be updatable without changing the code and is too large to send in one piece to the client (about 1000 location names and about 20 for each areacode.) I'm having the same problem. I made a very complex message board using php, DWR on Apache and Tomcat. I lost a drive and all the server setup I had done. After reinstalling the server and publishing the message board backup I can't get the DWR portion to work. I get the
type: Status report
message: Servlet dwr-invoker is not available

1) Try deleting tha actual LOGO from trx SMW0 table and Check the file name of the new LOGO and call it with another file name different from previous and Import the new file.
2) Check also the file name trx SM30 table SSM_CUST that must be the new file name.

Inserting Logo in SmartForm
Follow the given steps in order to add a logo,
1) In Smart Forms Editor, In left pane, right Click any Page (say Page1) and select Create -> Window, Give it a name and Description (Say Window1)
2) Right Click on Window (Window 1) and select Create -> Graphics, Give it a name and description
3) In general Attributes, Select Name, get search help (F4) , you will find a list of pictures
4) Select any picture and set its Resolution in DPI
5) Press F9 to open Smart Forms Builder, Select window (Window1) and In Output options window set, size and position of the Logo
6) Set any other parameters if required, save and activate.
7) If there is only 1 Window in the forms, set it as Main Window in general attributes.
8) User TCode SE78 to upload new pictures and logos.

How to have dynamic number of items uploaded using LSMW

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement where i need to upload the data for quality notifications. One Quality notification can have any number of items. i.e. One Quality notification can have 3 items and the other can have 2.
I have got an excel sheet containing data for 1000 notifications. I need to upload it using LSMW - BDC Recording method.
My question is that if i record the process for 2 items in a Notification, the BDC will always process only 2 items for every notification. How to make this processing dynamic so that any number of items can be uploaded.
Please help.

hi
according to me, once a recording is being done for some fields, you can not add fields to it. To add fields after recording, do a new recording, where give values to all fields. Ofcourse, for mandatory fields you ought to give values, other than that for optional fields, give some stsandard or common value. So that you can update it next time when you need it after recording is being done.
