Determine Project Version in BPM 10.3.1

I would like to display the current project version in my BPM Application. Is there a way to query this information?
I am using Oracle BPM 10.3.1 and Weblogic Server 10.3.0.

This might be helpful. I don't see a process.version, but there is a process.retrieveObjectPropertyFor that says it will obtain the property from the directory.
Does anyone know if there is a list of valid properties to query for?
I see there is a FUEGO_PROCDEF table that has a field FUEGO_PROJREVREM in the directory database that would give me the information that I need. Can I get this value using the above method?

There are few ways depending on what else you installed.
1. BPM/SOA is on top of exactly matching version of Weblogic Server. So if you know Weblogic Server version like 10.3.5, then it means BPM/SOA is also 10.3.5.
2. If you already have a BPM/SOA Domain created for this version, go to that Domain root folder/config/config.xml file. And in this file you can find <domain-version> tag that shows the domain version.
3. Assuming you have the Domain already created/running, and if you have SYS DB Privileges or you can request someone to send you details of records from a Table Named "SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY". This table is visible only for SYS user and directly under Tables section. This Table is NOT in soa_infra or mds schema. This table tells all the different schemas with the prefixes, and corresponding versions. One Database can have multiple versions of RCU with different Prefixes.
4. Finally, if you do not have any domain created or the easiest way is go to the root folder where Weblogic Server is installed like Weblogic Home and look for entries in files like registry.xml file. Your Middleware_Home/wlserver_10.3/ should have a folder named product.properties and contents of this files tell u all the details including the version. And there is a logs folder also under middleware home that has all logs of the stuff that you installed.
I know your question was simple, but just wanted to give all the options. Someone can give a one line answer for your question.

Error while saving BPM Project to MDS: BPM-70801 : Metadata operation failed

Dear All,
I am working on BPM 11g.
I installed the following products for BPM 11g
OS: Windows 7 SP1 Professional Edition all with 32 bit
Installed s/w:
    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 Generic Version
    OracleXE 11.2 Win32
    ofm soa generic 11.1.1.6.0
    wls 10.3.5
    RCU 11.1.1.6 for schemas dev_soainfra, dev_sdpm and dev_mds - Utility run successfully.
Overall Installation is successful wth no issues.
Configuration of Weblogic server for domain is ok with admin server, soa_server1 and bam_server1 with test connections is ok.
I am using browser as Internet Explorer 9
In Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 after creating application, project and process
From BPM MDS Navigator I configured the connection for Database 11g XE as well using
Override Application Server user/password
For SOA MDS I included the dev_mds user with MDS partition as obpm
tested connections all ok (weblogic and soa_server1 up and running)
In Jdeveloper I am able to export the BPM successfully.
In the BPM Project Navigator when I use the Project --> SalesQuote.jpr --> right clicking with
option as Save to BPM MDS the following error is occured as
"Error while saving BPM Project to MDS: BPM-70801 : Metadata operation failed".
If the error is resolved than I can see the project in BPM composer.
My queries on this error are
1) Has soa_server anything to do with this error
2) Is dev_mds schema to be reviewed
what can be the possibility to resolve the BPM-70801 error.
Please provide the solution ASAP or send me the reply to my [email protected]

Hello Ajaz,
BPM-70801 is a very generic error that can have multiple causes. Please provide the error log from servers log file. From what I understand, you are using a separate soa_server1, so watch out /your_domain/servers/soa_server1/logs/soa_server1.log

Project Version in cProjects

Hello Guys,
Can someone explain what is project version and its functionality. Can this be controlled with status flow of Projects. For example, In status flow, when PM changes to Update status an new version of project shoud be created.
Can this be possible in cProjects as standard functionality.

There are two types of versions in project management
1. Project versions: Typically used for reporting the state of a project at a given time. Yes it is possible to automatically generate a version based trigger on a project.
2. Simulation version : this is typically used to simulate a project. At times the cost planning, effort estimates needs to be determined which can be done using simulation versions

Receiver determination step in the BPM and multiline container

i have made a file2file scenario where:
there is a BPM,
the BPM has a send step which contains a receive step,
a transformation that mapps the incomin message to two messages(Split-messgae case),
and then a FORK step which sends the two messges to through 2 SEND steps to the intended receiver services.
It didnt work......and i followed a blog-> /people/sudharshan.aravamudan/blog/2005/12/01/illustration-of-multi-mapping-and-message-split-using-bpm-in-sap-exchange-infrastructure ............... which suggested to have a
"receiver-determination" step in the BPM before the SEND step.... it says that this
"receiver-determination" step will put the message in a MULTILINE container..
i m confused bout this step ........ can anybody explain.....

In receiver determination step selctthe multi line container element.in container editor create the one element with type as receiver and select the check box.
A Receiver Determination step returns set of receivers configured for the output abs interfaces in the directory and puts it into receiver which is a multiline container receiver element

You can deploy the ADF Project as an ADF Library Jar file and reuse the taskflow from that jar file in another BPM Application.

How to delete the project version RELEASED.

but in the system , there are no "Project 1522DJ110001". so the user can't create the project "1522DJ110001".

When I select Delete Project Version from Extras menu in CN41, its asking session number and version.
In session number no serch help is avialble. I am keeping it blank and seleting RELEASED in version.
After pressing enter I am getting an error Project Version RELEASED cannot be deleted??
Let me the exact steps to deleted the Project Version.

How do I determine which version of windows os is installed on the computer that my application is running on.

I need to determine which version of windows os in on the computer running my application to make some minor adjustments to a subvi. Is there a programmatic way to determine this using Labview.

Or, use the Application property node Application>OS>Detailed Name. Although I can't say anything about its output on other-than-Windows OSes.

There is a KB article called [[Updating Firefox]] that should have all the info you are looking for. You can find out what version of FF you are currently using by going to the Help menu at the top left of Firefox, then choosing "About Firefox." That will not only tell you what version you are using, but it will also let you know if there is an available upgrade.

You can determine your version in several ways. The geeky way to find out is to use the Terminal and use the command:
cups-config --version
The easier way is to click on this link. This will display the CUPS web interface from your own computer. The CUPS version will be in the title bar for the web page.

How do I determine what version of Apache, 1.3 or 2.0, I'm using?

If you're using the stock Apache, it's 1.3 on regular OS X. I think it's Apache 2 on OS X Server, but I'm not certain.
If you're asking because you've installed Apache 2, but want to make sure it's the one that's running and not the stock Apache, one way to tell is to examine the headers it returns. This Terminal command will show your headers (just enter it and hit the "return" key):

Here's what I get:
