Determing safety stock ,stock in transit and free stock,

Hi ,
I need to get safety stock , stock in transit and free stock as apperaing in the planning book , i dbugged the planning book and i find one funtion module which is using the live catche concept by passing some memory id. is there any funtion module or bapi is available by passing the product , plant and market can i get the stock.or else pls let me know the table name of the above stock is maintained.

try using BAPI_STSRVAPS_REQUESTLIST2 to read the stock
not sure if all the stock figures will appear in it (safety stock is a calculated KF and may not be picked up here)
BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL2 shoudl give you the planning book details including the safety stock
if you can see it in the planning book and it is a time series KF you can extract it using this

in my case matarial is split valuated matarial, matarial is maintained with two valuation classes
when seeing the report MB5B its not showing the price valuation class vise, its showing combined together only, again i am using the MC.9 there also same problem its not showing both the valuation class vise price its showing only one valuation class price, if we check for another valuation class price for that particular matarial its telling no data is availabel for the valuation class

Different stock between Acount view and Plant stock in MM03

Hello Experts,
In MM03 Acount view, I found the Total stock is 1, but in plant stock view, I found the stock is Zero.
There is not really any physcial invnetory so it must be a problem on the report.
And on mm03 that it was only on the finacial view screen that stock showed, it does not show on the normal stock screens.
What cause this difference? and How to clear the stock from the financial view?

Please run MB5K for the problem material. If it shows difference, then there might be inconsistency between accounting stock and plant(storage location) stock. If that is the case, physical inventory can't help. The correction(direct table update) is necessary and can only be done by SAP.

Stock determination, Stock on hand "E"and vendor stock

Hello all,
I would like to know the process of stock determination and how it works. is the stock determination active only for special stocks.
how are the consignment and special stock - "E" - stock on hand created in SAP.

Consignment stock is special stock 'K' and this means that you do not own it and it is not valued until you remove the 'K and then you will have a requirement to pay for it. This needs to be done in agreement with a vendor so that they will allow you to pay only when you use it and you will need the vendoe setting up as a consignment vendor and when you create the PO you create it for special stock 'K'.
Special stock 'E' is Sales order stock which means that the stock is allocate to a specific sales order and can only go to that sales order and if you try to pick it for anything else you should get an error.

Stock Transfer using 303 and 305

When we are doing stock transfer from 1plant to other plant and we have done 303 movement but 305 is yet to be done,at this instant whom does the stock belong in SAP.
Is it considered as stock in transit or in stock of receiving plant and where can I see it?

when u transfer the stock in 303 the stock is placed in IN TRANSIT AND TRANSFER stock and the liability will be with receving plant

Opening and closing stock

Hi,
    We have a requirement in which a Customized report has to be developed. The report needs to display the opening stock , Total reciept, consumption and closing stock for supplier wise material.
   We came across a standard report MB5B in which all these values are available. However inorder to display these values in a customized report we require a standard function module. Please provide us a std function module that can solve the purpose.
If the std module is not available (i dnt come across one) kindly porvide an alternaitve for the same.

Unrestricted and valuated stock are different

we have un-restricted stock of 95140 kg and valuated stock of 5259 kg with value of 1,12,100.
Now how i can make both stocks equal?
suppose my physical stock is 5259 kg which is equal to valuated stock of 5259 kg then how i can reduce un-restricted stock only?

Even having value set to 0, the valuated stock quantity will be affected by every movement. This problem could happened if you set the material type as relevant for valuation after the material was already active (1st you set to manage only quantities, and you had negative stock, then you activate the value updating and just then the valuated stock began taking quantities into consideration).
To solve this problem you should set your valuated stock to 0 (562) posting to an accrual account. Stop all activities in your valuation area, and un-mark the value updating in the material type definition. Post a movement to set your unrestricted stock to 0, change back to value updating and post the correct inventory quantity (561).
Take into consideration that now, you will have in your Inventory GL account only the value corresponding to the valuated stock quantity. The accrual account should be cleared with both movements, but if the correct quantity is the one u have as unrestricted stock, I will suggest to post the 561 for the valuated stock (clearing the accrual account) and then post another movement for Inventory difference to a revenue account.

For your require ment go to the T.Code MB51 and give the Mov type , you get the documents relataed to as per Mov no.
In MMBe itself the option is there for GR blocked stock and blocked stock.

If you consider Sales order there are 2 cases Exclusive & Inclusive
Take an eg for 10 qty in Sales order to customer
Exclusive means -- you will be having 10 qty in order + 1 free good. so totally 11 qty will be delivered to customer.
here the free goods may be same or other can also be consider as free.
( eg for 10 bucket 1 mug is free like that)
Inclusive meand --, you will be getting one free in that 10 items. so order will 9 qty & free qty is 1 item , so total will be 10 qty only
Here the free item will be same as main item.
( For 9 bucket 1 bucket is free)
You can include this free stock as separate line item in the Sales order.

i have searched the threads for a good explanation of safety stock methods (especially for safety stock methods SZ, SB and SM). I have to admit that i did not fully understand how the SM method works exactly. It would be great if you could possibly share an easy-to-understand example. Furthermore i am looking for a way to determine for what rawmaterial_location combination we need to use what Safety Stock Method (SB, SZ, SM). Maybe you could share a few examples in terms of raw materials, characteristics for these raw materials, what method to choose and reasoning for choosing this method.

Stock in Trasit and In transfer (Plant) both material document you can find by MMBE here Enter Material code and Plant (Receiving) and Execute. In the Stock overview screen Right click on Qty. shown (Stock In Transit and In Transfer) and click Material Movement. You can will get the Material document. Check Movement type 313 for Stock in Transit and 303 for In Transfer (Plant).

Report on pending order qty,opening stock, and closing stock

Any standard Report available on pending order qty against opening stock, and closing stock.

Hi Mohan
There is no report in standard SAP for stock in transit that is what you are refering to Pending order Qty & opening stock.
You can get report in ME2M, ME2L for pending PO's.
In MD04 you will get all these stock, PO Qty, & Closing stock but this is for individual material this has to be made customized report in reporting format same thing we have done in one of our project.
