Determining Totals - Time and or MBs

Relatively new to iTunes. I have a substantial library at this point and am burning cds based on created playlists. Some of the cds I am burning are audio and some mp3.
If I have a playlist that is too big (long) for an audio cd, is there a way I can randomly select from the playlist to mix and match till I have a selection that 'fits' on the audio cd based on minutes. I have the same question as it regards mp3's and MB's although it's much less an issue.
Thank you.

KasperK - thanks for the options. Not yet familiar with smart playlists - I'll read up on them. I suppose just adding one at a time from my library and keeping an eye on the totals below is the method. You would (I would) think that software such as this would have a little more intuitive means of tracking build size and editing such be adding or deleting tracks. Something like an 'inspector' window. Ahhh, oh well, such is life.
ed2345 - ty for the clickable totals in the bottom bar - it does (will) help. Am well aware I need to base
Audio CDs on minutes (time) and Data CDs on size (MBs). Unfortunately as discussed, not being able to 'subtract' from the total is troublesome at best and a PITA at worst.
Thank you both.

  • Movie TIMER with Total Time and Countdown

With so many timer scripts out there,
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a script/movie that does the
    basics:
    - display the total time of a movie from the beginning.
    - counts down to "zero" value as the movie progresses.
I'm looking to add this "timer" feature to a captivate movie
(end product = swf) with the above functionality. Within the
captivate movie is the standard control bar which consists of play,
fast forward, rewind, stop, pause, etc. I would like to intergrate
the timer with this control bar.
Example format for a 35 second movie: (beginning time to end)
    00:00:35 - 00:00:00
Any advice or direction is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,

you'll have to hardcode the duration of you swf. there's no
way to determine that, in general.
however, if you have no branching within your swf and it's a
swf without significant timelines except for the main timeline, you
could continually calculate the duration using _level._totalframes
and the frame rate which can be calculated.
using the duration and getTimer() (to determine the length of
time your swf is playing) you can calculate time remaining. from
there would need to use the flash string methods to format your
    display.

What I would really like to do is be able to vary the total duration of the signal and the amplitude. Does anyone have any idea how this can be done?? AN example of what I am trying to do is included (although the simulate arbitory signal doesn't work properly

    Thanks for your reply TPoint
I only want to set them at the beginning (more importantly I don't want them changed during).
I have tried to include both vi's now.
My real question is how I change the duration and the amplitude of the arbitory signal

  • How can u know the process chain total time, individual time?

    Hi guru's
How can u know the process chain total time, individual time?
and what options will available in sm37?
    Thanks
    prabha reddy

    Hi Prabha
Iam not very sure about total time and individual times.
But you can go to tcode rspcm for monitoring the daily process chains. it gives you details like 1. status  2.start date & time  3. Log ID  of each process chain.
or you can go to log view of particular individual chain to know how long it has run.
SM37: tcode for simple job selection.
here you check the status of job.
you can select for certain conditions like
    1. scheduled
    2. released
    3. ready
    4.active
    5. cancelled
Assign points if it was helpful
Revert back if you need further info/

I am having mac book air 2012model i had installed mavericks and use it, i long press command and power button at a same time and i saw the command prompt, from that i had formated the total hard disk. how to i want to install the OS again ?

Firstly, what is the source of the 10.6.4 disc? Is it the original installation disc for your MacBook, or one 'borrowed' from another computer?
It isn't the retail version, because that's 10.6.3.
Assuming it's the correct disc (i.e. the one that shipped with your Mac), you need to boot from it again.
    OK the language page.
From the installer screen, ignore the continue button, go to the menu bar and choose Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
In DU, select your internal drive in the sidebar (the top item with the makers name and serial no.).
Run Repair Disk. If that comes up as disk OK, click the partition tab. Select the partiton from the drop-down above the graphic; 1 partiton is all you need.
Go to the options button and ensure that the partition scheme is GUID and the file system to Mac OS Extended (Journalled). Name the partiton (usually Macintosh HD), click Apply.
When the Macintosh HD volume appears below the drive name, quit DU and see if you can then install.
If the screen after the language screen doesn't show the menu bar, it may be necessary to use another Mac to do the job with the MB in Firewire Target Disc Mode. If it won't boot in TDM, or the MB doesn't have FireWire then it's getting very difficult.

  • How come Mac OS X's Software Update doesn't show a total time ETA and size?

    Hello.
I noticed when downloading big updates from Mac OS X 10.5's Software Update, it doesn't show the TOTAL time left and size. It only shows the individual updates (e.g., iTunes). Is there a way to show the totals especially when downloading takes forever?
    Thank you in advance.

    Kappy wrote:
Well not in Software Update, but if you download standalone updates directly from Apple's download site - support.apple.com/downloads/ - using Safari then you will get that information reported in the browser's download manager. However, Software Update does report the size of each listed update.
Yeah, I wanted to know the total of all updates since some updates are so huge. Like Java update 5 is like over 160 MB! Add iTunes and others! Yikes.

  • Is there a way I can have my form calculate a total time from beginning and ending time?

Is there a way I can have my form calculate a total time from beginning and ending time?

Sorry, but Formscentral doesn't support either a timer function or any kind of calculation. You might be able to do this if created your form in PDF. For help with PDF form creation in Acrobat I suggest you repost your question to the Acrobat Forum.

  • Calculate total time without covered and overlapping period

    Hi everybody
I have trouble with calculating a total for many little periods of time (which represent working time actually).
The hardest part is that those periods can cover each other or overlap each other (see the picture below)
    [calcul_temps_productivite|http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=195033calcul_temps_productivite.gif]
Each period is described by a sort of primary key, a beginning time and an ending time.
For exemple in the table, you can have :
    Key Begin End
    1 01/01/09 05/01/09
    1 04/01/09 07/01/09
    1 06/01/09 09/01/09
    1 12/01/09 16/01/09
    1 13/01/09 14/01/09
In this exemple, the result should be (09-01=8) + (16-12=4) = 12 days
I was wondering if it wasn't much easy to calculate only the gap (here for example between 09/01 and 12/01)
and take them away for the total interval of time obtained by calculating min and max for all periods (here for exemple : 01/01 and 16/01)
    that would make (16-01 = 15) - (12-09 = 3) = 12 days
At this time, the calculation is too complex and is taking to much time (it's using three queries with NOT EXISTS for each one)
Does anybody has a simple plan to do that please ?
    Thanks a lot

    this would be the following:

  • All-time total download and subscriber counts for iTunes U

Hi!  I have a collection on iTunes U, and while the weekly reports are very useful, they only provide information for the stats for that week.
I need to find out how many total all time downloads and subscribers we have (I only need this number once - I can add the weekly total to that afterwards).
So my question is basically how do I find the number of  total downloads and total subscribers we have for our collection since its inception.
    Thanks!
    Sarah

    Im havign the same problem!
Any chance you've come across a solution?

  • Audio Queue Services Elapsed and Total Time

Does anyone know how to get the elapsed and total time of a file being played using Audio Queue Services? I am using a .caf file and it plays without a problem but I can't seem to figure out how to display the elapsed and total time of the audio file.
On a side note, I'd like to hook up a scrubber (like the one in the voicemail section of the Phone app). Does anyone have any idea how to set the playback position of an audio file?

    Hi, Shindigg,
Does your code works after performing fast forward/rewind?
    I got an awful result.
After I performing ffw or rwd, the mSampleTime is not the exact time which had been played, it always returns the total played time.
For example, I clicked the ffw button when playing at 10secs, and mean to jump to 20secs, the AudioQueue did jumped to the 20secs, but the mSampleTime still remains to 11, 12, 13secs....
Did you got a similar problem? If so, how did you resolve it?
    Thanks
    -Tonny

  • I got my credit card company called said that I purchased at iTunes yesterday six times and totally almost six hundred,I'm in shock and I think is my 5 years old did it,I want to know can I get it refund?

My credit card company called and said I purchased at iTunes store six times and the total is almost six hundred dollars,i'm in shock and some how my 5years old boy did it,i have no clue how he get in and able to get all the purchase, can I get refund?

    Try here.
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/
Bear in mind that you are not entitled to a refund of any type since the terms of the iTunes and App Store are "All Sales Final". That doesn't mean that you will not get a refund - you are just NOT ENTITLED to a refund.
I suggest that you watch what the 5 year old child is doing when he has the iPad.

  • SCCM 2007 Determine packages/task sequence distributed specific time and date

    Hi All,
Back from holiday to find SCCM task sequences for client PCs have been pushed to servers :(
My knowledge on SCCM/SQL is somewhat limited.
Are there ways to find task sequences that are distributed specific time and date and to which collections?
    Many thanks!

managed to sort this out myself.
    On a affected machine, I've located a logfile 'smsts.log' in '

  • How to store lead-time and price per MPN for a single Item

We are probably one of the only CEM's that use Oracle Applications in a one-to-one MPN-IPN (Oracle Item Part Number) relationship. We do not currently store multiple Manufacturers under a single Item. Rather, we use the Customer Item Cross Reference to rank the customer's AML, with each IPN tied to a single MPN.
We are looking at moving into a one-to-many "world" in Oracle but are not sure how we can handle different pricing, lead-time, preference, status (prototype, production, obsolete, do not use), etc. for each Manufacturer's Part Number under a single Item. How are other CM's handling this???

    Hi Greg,
Unfortunately, DIAdem Datafinder doesn't really support much in the way
of Date/Time search outside of the File Level Creation Date property.
In order to make the creation time of the Channels searchable you would
want to create some custom properties (or use the existing RegisterInt1
    - RegisterInt6) to define your own searchable properties.
For example, since you know that you have one TDM file per day, you can
start your search by find the desired day on the File Property Level,
searching the "Creation Date" property. When you store your TDM
properties, you could store the hour creation as an integer (and
thereby searchable) in one of the RegisterInt properties of the
channel, or create your own custom "Hour" channel. You could similarly
save the minute and second property in their own custom properties.
Then, since you're saving integer values, you can then search those
values to determine the time that the channel was created.
I realize that this isn't ideal or elegant, as in total it requires 4
searches (date, hour, minute, second). But that is the most
straightforward way of searching your channels by creation date/time.
Hope this helps Greg, let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Total Time Processed- As Error Log in XI

    Hi,
I want to know if there are any means in XI to produce the Time to process an individual message in XI as the Output of XI. something like sending the total time taken to process the current XI message to a target system like a File server or Mail server.
    Any inputs ?
    Thanks
    Krishna

    HI,
Murthy, we cant estimate the complete time taken to complete the flow of data, but we can see at what time the message was executed.. so roughly based on the load of data which flows in b/w sender and receiver determines the time interval.. i mean if any conditional based routing is used in the scenario in such cases it takes some milliseconds more, but unfortunately we dont have any specfic tool or option to calculate this.. if needed we may record at what time the file is dropped and what time the file is executed and the time the file reached to the target based on that manually we may estimate..
    regards,
    Kishore
