Lai.KS,
More like the game is not compatible with 44.03.  Your card works fine with 44.03.
Personally I have stayed with 41.09 because I like the way 41.09 looks when rendering games.

  • I got problem whit the detonator and windows XP (K7T Pro2 Ver:1.0)

I have windows XP, when i install the drivers for Geforce 2 MX 200 and reboot the machine for frist time I NEVER SEE MY WINDOWS ANYMORE!!!!
    I have:
    MSI K7T pro 2 ver: 1
    512MB SDRAM PC 133
    Sound Blaster PCI 128
    Geforce 2 MX 200 (32MB)

    PD: HELP!!!!

I had similar problems a while back.. the problem was that the refresh rate was to high and it wouldn't go into 60Hz even in safe mode.. I switched the monitor to a newer with PnP and then the driver lowered the refresh rate.. (I had hacked together a own .inf file for the first monitor and it has only BNC so no PNP)

  • Msi KT3 MoBo / MSI geForce4 TI 4200 Problem

Hello, hopefully someone can help me.  I am having a rather unusual problem.  Least I think it is.  I have a MSI kt3 ultra2 motherboard, 512 meg ddr 2100 crucial ram.  AMD XP 2000+ CPU and an MSI Geforce4 TI4200 video card.  First of all, what agp settings should i use?  4x? 2x?.  Secondly, should i enable agp fast writes?  And last, what are the other 2 settings in the agp setup in the bios which are like 1/2 or 2/3?
I also ran mad onions 3d mark 2001 SE and got a score of 4898!  This seems a little low to me.  Comparing online, I should be getting scores rannging from 9000 to 13000.  I have installed Nvidia Detonator drivers but they are the latest beta drivers.  Are these bad drivers?  None of my games ever freeze except for Soldier of Fortune 2.  It slows way down and when i ctrl+alt+del, it says i am using 100% cpu usage.  Can anyone help me?  I just want my system i bought a week ago to run at its full potential and have nowhere else to turn.

I am using Windows XP Pro.  I am running the 3d Mark 2001 SE with a 1024 resolution and no AA.  I am also using a 32bpp color depth.  The defaults when you load the program up for the first time basically.  I never did get a patch for SOF II although I should have.  Man do I fell like such a n00b.
Hey Jamie B, you said i should "disable support for advanced cpu controls is NOT checked".  Where is that at?
Thanks to all who have replied. :D   I appreciate it.

  • MSI Ti-4200 128 MB possible overclocking problem

    I have a:
    QDI Kudoz 7E/333A mobo
    AMD Athlon 2000+ (Palomino)
    MSI Ge-Force Ti-4200 128 MB
    512 MB Ram@333
Maxtor 160 GB HDD UATA 133 8MB Cache
Western Digital 40 GB GDD UATA 100 2MB Cache
    SB Live Audigy 2 NX
    Nec DVDR/W 3520
    Nec DVD-ROM 5500
    Windows XP SP 2
    NVidia Detonator (Forceware) 66.93
    Coolbits2
I had overclocked my Ti-4200 to 285MHz Core and 585MHz RAMDAC using the coolbits registry key (boot settings). Everything worked fine for about a month, I have ran several 3DMark tests (mostly 2003) and many "heavy" games (Doom 3, Far Cry, HL2, Warhammer:DOW, etc) and no problems occured (crashes or weird graphics). The 3DMark 2003 score from 1500 now is 1700 and I am (was) quite happy about it. Yesterday I removed the 512 Ram and re-installed it after a while (had to remove the card also) and the PC, without having any problems at all (I was playing Dungeon Siege a few hours ago) suddenly, while in BIOS and DOS, the screen is filled with white dots (looks like Pac-Man    ) and while loading the XP logo I see thin vertical lines (red and yellow) and then the monitor closes while the PC still works. I tried running in safe mode, it loaded but I still had these lines on the screen. I removed the DVD-ROM and the WD HDD just in case (350W PSU) but still had the same story. I installed a Club 3D Radeon 9600 Pro 256 MB and everything worked fine. I didn't install any Catalyst Drivers, I removed the coolbits from the registry and the NVidia drivers, re-installed the Ti-4200 and still I have the same problem. The card looks fine, no broken pins or anything. I also thought about a virus but this can't be, I triple-checked everything I installed and no viruses were found (and the Radeon worked).
I fear the overclocking was not so good after all but I can't be sure.
    Any ideas?
    Thanx in advance.

Proves a theory im made at least, MSI makes cheap / fault video ram, your card is a gonner pretty much, those vertical lines and monitor shuitting down are known as screen corruptions that occur when the video ram is fried (in most cases), did you overclock it by 10%? Im wondering if you can RMA a card since MSI does guarentee 10% overclock on some cards so I here but I cant be sure, someone else needs to answer that question as for MSI, if your going to overclock, dont buy from them, Im quite peeved at MSI because the memory on their cards cant even handle stock speeds let alone overclocked ones.

  • K7T266 Pro R and Geforce 2 GTS problem

Hello everyone. I have been experiencing a problem for some time now regarding lockups and crashes caused by my video card, which vary in severity depending on the driver version used. Since I'm using an MSI K7T266 Pro Raid mobo (version 1) I thought I'd post my question here.
The exact problem depends on the driver version. Using any Nvidia Detonator drivers at version 40 or newer, my system becomes extremely unstable. On first booting everything seems fine, however if I try to open my Geforce display properties the Windows freezes during the redraw of the display properties window, which goes blank. Sometimes I can call up Close Programs Dialog, which shows DDHELP in the list, and [not responding]. I've never actually gotten an error message from DDHELP or any other error message -- perhaps the computer jams too hard for Windows to get one up. I've seen reports around the Net about DDHELP problems from things like DirectX 8.1, but they're never quite like my problem. The problem is identical on DirectX 8.0, 8.1, and on 9.0.
No matter what I try to do in Windows with these drivers installed, the computer will lock up in seconds. For example, if I then open IE 5.5, I might be able to get as far as a page or two before the similar thing happens: during the window redraw the computer locks up (usually with a blank or partially-redrawn window), sometimes causing the mouse to lock and sometimes not, and then if I can get the Close Program Dialog open DDHELP has appeared and is Not Responding.
The most stable driver version I've found so far is 29.42, which does not cause the lockup above and never causes DDHELP to appear. However, it is quite unstable as well, and causes Windows to lock up sporadically during 2D window redraws in various programs. For example, when calling up a Save Document dialog or when opening a pulldown menu the program will lock either before any of the redraw becomes visible on screen or when the new dialog box is "skeletal", only partially drawn. Sometimes the crash is severe enough that I have to do a cold restart on my system.
The other problem is that sporadically garbage blocks will appear in portions of my screen, like old windows and color bands popping up that do not refresh. This often happens to me in Photoshop 6, and happens usually when I'm scrolling down a window or something.
These problems with version 29.42 all appear to be 2d window-drawing related. I do not have any problems with 3d games with 29.42. However, the new reference drivers are so unstable on my system that I can't even try to open them.
With 29.42, the most stable drivers I've found so far, some kind of lockup due to redrawing windows almost always occurs within an hour (sometimes minutes) of booting up.
For what it's worth, dxdiag tests just fine.
I was hoping someone could help me figure out what's causing the trouble, what driver I should use, and how to resolve it. If possible, I'd really like to use the newer drivers as I've been told they're much faster. In any event, I hate having such an unstable system where lockups could occur at any moment!
Here's the lowdown of my system:
    -MSI K7T266 Pro Raid [1] mobo (MS-6380)
         AMIBIOS date: 5/1/2001

         BIOS version 2.15.01.14
    -Windows 98SE
-DirectX 9.0 (also tried 8.1 etc)

-D drive is Raid 0 striped array, pair of 40gb 7200rpm
-Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Adapter on slot 5
-no memory resident programs on loadup except for WinPoET, Explorer, Systray
If there's anything I've left out that could help, let me know!
    Thanks to anyone in advance,

    Lai.KS,
This was dealt with many months ago. You could have used the search feature of the forum to get that answer.  Just download the nVidia Drivers and install them. That will solve your problem. If it does not solve your problem, reinstall your OS and use the latest drivers from either the MSI Website or the nVidia website.

  • DVD Playback problem with H/w accel on Ti4200

    Hello folks,
I have a problem with DVD playback using WinDVD Platinum on my MSI 128Mb GF4 Ti4200 (MS-8700). When I play a DVD with hardware acceleration enabled I get a sort of ghosting or delayed flash photography effect similar to that which gives headlights trails. This doesn't occur with the Detonator 40.72 drivers
or MSI 41.07 drivers but occurs with
the NVidia 41.09s, 43.00s and now 43.45 drivers under WinXP SP1. The problem only occurs with hardware acceleration enabled and has happened with both DX8.1 and 9.0. I didn't have this problem with the 41.09s under Win2k SP3.
Does anyone else have this problem or know of a solution.
    Thanks,
    Morpheus
    System Specs:
    Athlon XP 2000+
    512MB DDR Ram
    Asus A7V333-R
    Soundblaster Audigy Player
    Realtek 8139 based NIC
    Win XP SP1
    DirectX 9.0

Sound is fine its just the picture that has the problem but I have narrowed it down further by downloading WinDVD Tweaker. If I disable DxVA but leave hardware decode and colour selected the problem isn't present. Therefore I suspect something has corrupted my DxVA   drivers however as I originally had 8.1 installed and then installed 9.0 in an attempt to fix this I don't think a reinstall of DX will solve the problem.
    Any ideas.
    Cheers,
    Morpheus

  • Gf4 Ti4200 8x With Vivo Problem

ok my problem is that I can't play any games now and it used to work fine before that thing that I notice today was that the adapter info window displays 16mb instead of 128mb and some games like halo they don'y like that so they don't allow you to run the game I am not sure what to do so if anyone has any info please reply here
here is a picture of what I am talking about
and I also check the irq interrut and there is nothing that is conflicting with the card . thanks in advance :(

I had a similar problem with my new 5900 Ultra VTD256. The driver said 128Meg of RAM even though I had 256Meg. I installed several versions of the Detonator drivers and none worked. Finally, I found a beta of the Det 52.13 drivers and it cleared up all my problems! They're also much faster in Halo. You can find them here:

  • Nvidia DVD Problems

Nvidia and MacrovisionDoes anyone having problems with DVD players on Nforce systems and vga drivers above 40.72(Geforce 2 mx integrated)?
When I play a dvd movie with Power DVD 5.0,a small window pops up alerting me that the movie can't run because the TV out of my VGA Card is enable, well I don't have any other card installed, just the Geforce2 MX integrated GPU,that came with the Nforce 420D chipset. But I know that the motherboard came with a TV encoder(Conexant BT868).I have noticed that when the system recognizes the TV encoder on the display properties, below the VGA Bios, the movie can't run.I have installed the Nvidia Nforce 2.45 chipset drivers, comes with 44.03 Detonator drivers. Also I was running the Nvidia NDVD  Player(2.55 version)and I got some problems too, when the movie was playing at some time, problems with the fast forward ocurred.By the way it's not my DVDROM neither my VGA Card.I'm running Windows XP Pro with SPI preinstalled and latest updates.I got an MSI MS-6367 Mobo,1.3 bios(latest).Clean and fresh Windows XP Pro installment.I'm going to add a link about some problems with DVD Players with Nforce systems.Forgot something,I check the bios and the TV out was disabled by default.http://forum.digital-digest.com/archive/topic/18121-1.html

This might/might not help.  After upgrading to 2.6.27, both my wireless card and nvidia drivers failed.  I ran "depmod" as root in the console and now everything runs.  Might want to give that a try.

Problems with Airport setup after buying Version 7 models, (older ones will not upgrade)
I re set up my Airport network , having had 4 expresses for years doing a good job. I bought another and an express, but then a time capsule after my external drive died. .Problems with Airport setup after buying Version 7 models, (older ones will not upgrade)
I moved house and have fibre network so 38mb/s - they all look ok on the utility, but its not till I saw the App version that they are not compatible as mac will not upgrade the version 6 ones, leaving me with 2 disjointed networks and 7 appliances, 4 of the old , 3 of the new.
my new house is expansive so i wanted the extended range and airplay in each room.
This is not told to customers, and utility doesnt show any issues.
I do not seem to get any range from either network now, - and I'm quite experienced with airport (6 yrs of setting up & using & extending)
    Any advice ?

  • Problem with G4MX460-VT

Recently I put together a new system. Everything is working fine except the video card. It doesn't even work in it stock speed.
    The system contains :
** Soyo SY-P4S-645DX DRAGON Ultra motherboard
** Intel 1.6A (overclocked at 2.13 GHz, the problem happens in 1.6 GHz too) Processor
    ** 512 MB Samsung RAM
    ** MSI G4MX460-VT Graphics card (64 MB)
** Enermax EG465P-VE FMA Power suply
    Video Driver is Detonator 29.80
    OS is Windows XP
I can't get the core/memory clock beyond 189/223 MHz while the specification is "Core/Memory speed 300/550 MHz"
I used Motherboard Monitor Version MBM 5.1.9.1 and it indicates -12V at  -9.57V (used to be even lower before), and -5V at 0.00V. All the positive voltage supplies are within spec. I took out the power connector from the motherboard and measured the negative volatages and they are alright. Measured the voltage at the connector while the machine was running, there the negative voltages are alright too. Only motherboard monitor shows the out of spec voltage. So, I am not sure whether that is the problem.
Everytime I  try to increase the core or memory clock a bit higher than it is now, the machine hangs up Immadiately. Even at lower speed if I try to play a moderately graphic intensive game, the computer hangs after a couple of minutes and reboots and before that I get the error message that nt4_disp.dll caused the machine to become unstable. Sometimes it can't even load the graphics before it quits.
Can anyone plese give me any suggestion what to do? Or is it the motherboard or the graphics card which needs to be replaced.
I spent all my savings behind this machine and needless to say that I am pretty much upset with the results. Any help would be greately appreciated.

you might have more luck posting in the video card

  • GeForce2 GTS refresh rate problem

I have a GeForce2 GTS (MSI Starforce 815) running on an IWill KK266 (KT133A chipset) and a Sony GDM-400PS monitor. My problem is that when I set the refresh rate to "optimal" it runs at 60hz. This is a problem because my eyes are really sensitive to the flicker. I can set the refresh manually to a higher static refresh rate, and I can then switch back to "optimal" and it will adjust properly to a higher refresh rate but upon reboot it converts back to 60hz (although setting still says optimal.) I have several other non MSI GeForce2 GTS cards and they don't have this problem.
    Anyone have any ideas?
To help weed out the suggestions:
-running 350W Enermax PS, more then enough
-running Win98SE (don't tell me to switch operating systems please)
    -Sony 400PS well within spec
-have run 3 sets of Detonator drivers currently 40.72 same problem with all
-I know I can set it to run at a static 75 or 85Hz but I prefer to have it adjust to the optimal setting for my usage.
    Thanks for any help!

    beavercleaver,
I always set the monitors at 85hz.  It is a great frame rate that is really easy on the eyes.

  • Detonator R.I.P.

nVidia has today introduced their new series of graphic drivers called "Forceware"
v52.16 WHQL'd to replace the aged detonator series. Although benchmarking scores went down with the default driver settings game performance in most of the games i tested is better overall as well quality. Specially i have got an hefty increase in frames in Halo (about 25%). Stability is very good.
You can download them as an 7.8MB file here . International languages are included.
Please install via device manager ---> update driver , pointing at the location you extracted the driver. I suggest you log in first in Safe mode (press F8 during boot up) and then install.
    enjoy,

I´ve written it in other threads, but here is again:
The VIA 694X chipset defaults to 2X transfer rate to workaround insufficient drive strength from one of the signals. This may or may not happen with your motherboard. Try forcing AGP 4X transfer rate with RivaTuner from System Tweaks - Compatibility. There it is the explanation of this problem. If you keep getting an unstable machine after you forced 4X AGP transfer, there´s probably no fix for it. Anyway you won´t lose too much performance, but this happens also with the VIA KT133, so perhaps you should contact VIA for some help, but they could tell you to install their VIA 4 in 1 service packs, and that´s an useless question!!!
