Develop Edits made with LR 4.3 won't show up in ACDSee Pro 5

I use lightroom 4.3 to edit my CR2 files and ACDSee Pro 5 to catalog and sort my huge photo collection and I would love to use it for the CR2 images too.
The problem is, that the develop edits that I make to the CR2 files using LR , won't dispay in ACDSee .. all I can see there are the original cr2 files without the edits made to them. I just had a chat with the adobe support team and they say Lightroom is working perfectly, because the changes show up in Bridge and LR. And the people from ACDSee say that the lightroom edits are Adobe specific.
I thought that an XMP file is there for that purpose : to be able to see the info in other programs. By the way : CR2 files and the XMP are stored in the same location, so that can't be the problem.
Is anyone having this problem too? Or can anybody help me with this please.
If this issue can't be solved, then I will use Bridge or LR as catalog, and maybe I will like it even more, but for now I would like to use ACDSEE.

Correct. That's proprietary processing with the LR engine which has yet to be done (rendered and exported). The preview in those Adobe app's understand this and show you the edits but ACDC can't. You have to render an iteration as a TIFF or similar with the edits applied for another app to 'see' that. ACDC has not access to those preivews so it doesn't show you what will be applied upon export.

I am very confused!! When I first used iTunes, I did not own any Apple products. When I purchased my MacBook Pro and a Mobile Me subscription a few years ago, my email address @me.com became my new Apple ID. I subsequently purchased an iPhone 3 and eventually an iPhone 4. Avchd video file made with Premiere Elements 8 won't fast forward or reward

I just finished an AVCHD video project in Premiere 8 and I can't fast forward or rewind the file on my computer with Windows Media Player or in Windows Media Center. The file plays nicelly but it's annoying watch it from start to finish for 45 minutes.
I have a Vixia HF S20 - the video format of the original files was ACHD. After finishing editing the project I choose to save it on my PC (a Dell Inspiron 8100 with I5 - so lots of power awailable) as a MPEG file. I noticed that this format was the only one that gave me the option to save the video in H.264 1920x1080i 30 preset.
The rendering of the video took some 3 hours. It saved the video in AVCHD format and at playback, on my computer screen, it looks just as it should - HD quality - but the lack of controls it's really, really stupid!
Anyway, I need help to figure out what is happening here. Did I do something wrong? Are there other saving settings/presets to choose from that retain the HD quality I am not aware of? Thanks a million in advance!

Well, if you are weighing things against WMP, it could be that PrE could have done something differently.
Now, I am not a fan of WMP, and am REALLY not a fan of RealMedia Player. I liken that latter one to a Trojan, waiting to happen. I last had a version installed about 12 years ago, and would never let another copy near any of my computers.
Besides the two that I mentioned, GOM Player gets high marks, as well.

Can I copy edits made with the comp function?

Suppose I record an instrument with 2 mics. I do 5 takes then use the comp function to easily edit one of the 2 recorded tracks. Is there a way to copy the comp edits to track 2 so that I have a congruent sound or must I change them all by hand?

if you close the folder you can copy without problem
if you need to copy only an edited part of the composit...
i suggest to Unpack the folder...
this action allow you to copy only 1 take at the time
Note: *UNDO works fine about unpacking folder... maybe*
Anyway save a safety copy of your song by rename is as song take2 or similar

Automator: Made a service but it won't show up in the app.

followed this tutorial to make a "wrap text in quotes" automator service. I tried to find and use the service I made in a word processing application but no services show up, it simply says "no services apply." I followed every step to the T and I can even make a shortcut for the service in the settings window but still it will not work or show up. Not sure what I'm doing wrong and I'm VERY new to automator. Thanks everyone!

I created a service for Numbers, and it wouldn't show up on the services menu, even if i selected any cell. I did this and it worked :
1. Open Automator.
2. Right click on the Automator icon in the dock.
3. Your recent created service must appear in the list after right click, click on it.
4. A message should appear, click INSTALL.
5. Check service menu, it should then be in the menu.

Need Help with Timeline Setup, Text won't show up in SWF

I am creating a site for one of my company's restaurants, and I have all of my pages created in flash. I have not done any Actionscript on any of the pages yet. I thought that I would just be able to create each page and take the swf files and import them into a main index page on the timeline and code from there. However, when I imported my .swf files to the library of the main flash file, none of my text showed up at all. I have added the fonts to my library and I tried breaking apart the text, but nothing has worked.
Also, I don't know how exactly to set up the timeline to link all of my pages, and I have looked in other forums and have seen people reference the online help, but I do not know where to find that!
I am a mess right now, the site needs to be up by Friday!! PLEASE HELP!

So I have created all new movie clips in my index.fla file by copying all of my files from another file and pasting them into the movie clip timeline. I have placed all of my new movie clips in different layers on the index timeline, and have created keyframes 10 frames apart. I have my actions layer with frame labels for each page every ten frames (i.e. tbLabel is at frame 1 in my actions layer and the movie clip is on a different layer at frame one, restaurantLabel is at frame 10 in my actions layer and the movie clip for that page is on a different layer at frame ten, all the way up to frame 120). I haven't put any actionscript in my movieclips except for stop(); at the end of each file. My current actionscript, placed in frame 1 for my first page when the viewer goes to the site is as follows:

However, when I go to test the movie, I get "1120 access" errors even though the buttons are named in the properties pane, however, I cannot view that in the file that conatins all of my movie clips because they are movie clips.
Also, When I go to view the movie with all of my movie clips, all of them play one on top of the other, none of them stop, and the buttons do not work.
I'm having a hard time figuring out what actionscript I need to use and where!

Chapter markers won't show in dvd studio pro

I exported my file as a quicktime movie with dvd chapters in fcp. I checked the quicktime file and i can see all the chapter markers. I compressed it using compressor and then imported to DVDsp 4 as i usually do (my hard drive died and i recently reinstalled everything). I droped it in the menu using "create button and chapter indexes". I chose an apple template. I only get one chapter. what happened to my other ones?
I tried also as a test importing the uncompressed final cut file that has the chapters and repeated the above procedure, and still i only got one chapter?
I use to do this all the time, what am i doing wrong?

Compressor should pass along the informations. Did you remember to specify each marker in FCP to be chapter markers. If so, try importing your reference file directly into DVDSP and dropping it into a track. The chapter markers should appear. You can them simply delete out the reference video and replace it with your final encoded MPEG 2.

Win 2008R2 terminal services, it won't show Windows 8.1 pro redirected printer

I have users that use a remote app on a Win2008R2 server. Redirected printers work fine on Windows 7, but I cannot get it to display the redirected printer attached to a Windows 8.1 client. I have installed the printer driver on the server as usual. It shows

Check whether there is proper printer driver is installed. Please check the GPO setting whether the below policy is not enabled.

IPhoto 08 - Editing externally with Photoshop CS

I recently had to reformat my hard drive and reinstate my software including iLife08 and iPhoto in particular. Prior to this event when I used PS CS to edit I simply opt clicked a photo to edit it in PS and then Saved the edited version. The whole thing was transparent. Since my misfortune with the hard disk glitch I have been unable to do this. Having set the PS as the preferred external editor in the preferences panel when I 'Opt click' a photo it opens PS but fails to open the photo itself. I've been able to work around by Opening the photo file directly in PS through an alias of the modified folder within the iphoto library folder.
This is further complicated when I try to sync photos to my Apple TV and iPod and I discover that edits made with both 'iPhoto' and 'PS' don't appear to have been edited when viewed in the newly sync'ed devices.
Hope someone can shed some light on this!

"File not found" with CF 8 Developer Edition

I just installed CF 8 Developer Edition on a Windows XP Pro machine. CF Admin works well, so I know the CF server itself works. But whenever I try to run any of my own .cfm files from localhost or 127.0.0.1 it gives me a "file not found" error. Not sure what's going on.

How did you install ColdFusion? What web server are you using? What operating system? There are several possible combonations where ColdFusion looks for files and how one accesses them with a browser.
Depending on the choices you made during installation you could need to be using port 80, 8300 or 8500.As well as, your web files could need to be in c:\\inetpub\wwwroot\, /var/www, \Apache22\htdocs, c:\\Jrun4\servers\cfusion\cfusion-ear\cfusion-war\ or many other possibilites.

I downloaded and installed the SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Developer Edition on a virtual client.
I toke a long period to finish the installation.
Now some questions to use this system in the right way:
1.) How can I get a "developer license" which do not expire? Because the link http://www.sap.com/minisap seems to be not ok.
2.) How can I connect via network with the sap system? the application server is running on a vm client with a static ip i.e. 192.168.1.5. And my laptop gets a ip in the same range. I have installed the gui on my laptop and tried to connect with the system. But it does not work! I used as application server the ip of the virtual machine. I use the gui witch is installed on the same host like the application it works (with localhost as application server adress)
3.) Where can I download the newest version of the SAP Gui? I do not have a service marktplace account? Is it possible?
4.) I read in the documentation that it should be possible to reach the sap system also with web dynpro: http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
But it does not work. I got an error message: Service cannot be reached

The termination occurred in system NSP with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
The selected virtual host was 0 .

I have PremierePro-CS5 installed.
This stereo 3D camcorder (Sony HDR-TD10E), output an .MVC (MultiViewCoding) file, coded in H.264 format.
This format is already compatible with Bluray3D stereoscopic format.
1) But, how to edit the .MVC in Premiere?
2) What plugin should I use (if exists) for PremiereProCS5?
3) Cineform Neo3D, can manage the .MVC format? Can convert it to Cineform format file, for import it into Premiere?
4) What software should I use to convert an .MVC video to an AVCHD H.264 file, and import it into PremierePro CS5 or CS5.5 for editing?

Firefox Developer Edition won't launch (Win7 64-bit)

Hi,
I am running Windows 7 64-bit with the latest Windows updates. When I click the icon to launch Firefox Developer Edition, it will not launch and immediately open the Mozilla Crash Reporter. Details from the Crash reporter are below.
Things I have tried:
-Booting into Safe Mode by holding Shift key.
-Run Windows Memory Diagnostics (returned no errors).
-Updated Windows to latest updates.
-Perform a clean re-install (uninstall Firefox, deleting profiles, clearing keys from Windows Registry).
-Closed my antivirus (Kaspersky) before launching.
No matter what I do, FDE will crash at launch. Regular Firefox works just fine (which is odd to me). FDE works just fine with my same sync profile and same plugins on my Macbook Pro, but on my Windows 7 machine it crashes every time.
Please help! I love Firefox Developer Edition.

I have installed the latest drivers for my graphics card. I am unable to start Firefox in Safe Mode. I hold Shift and click the FirefoxDeveloperEdition and I get the Mozilla Crash Reporter just the same. Is there another way to enable Safe Mode or maybe disable hardware acceleration?
