Develop module, 1:1 and Export don't look the same, color issues

Hi everybody
I'm using the last version of Lightroom (3.6 if I'm not wrong) and I'm facing a very uncomfortable issue with the Develop module.
I adjusted precisely every color luminance and saturation so it looks rather good in the Develop preview (set to fit), and did an export...
The preview I worked on and the export simply don't look the same.
I work with NEF files from my NIKON D3100 DSLR on a Mac OSX 10.7 MBP.
This cannot be the external display profile not correctly adjusted since I viewed every pictures on the same screen.
I unchecked every boxes from the presets tab in the settings window.
Here are some screenshots and exports.
Fit preview in the Develop module (left) and the actual export of the same picture (right)
Please note I didn't activated any lens correction option and adjusted any color. This is the RAW file and its direct export.
Screenshot of the preview window on top of noise correction options (left) and the same area once I zoomed in in the main preview (right)
I hope this can be corrected or I'm doing something wrong.
A couple of days before today I was using Camera RAW from PS CS5 to correct my NEF and was only keeping exports in JPEG. I decided to use LR 3 on my entire workflow and I'm being skeptical...
Oh right and please forget about every single mystake in my post, I'm a french student.
Thanks !
EDIT : i can join any required file or screenshot if required. I have some other shots having tthe same issue (a lot of ones indeed...)
EDIT 2 : i just found out the picture has much more acurate colors (relatively to the export ones) in the Library module in fit preview (Loupe I guess)

I have the problem on another photo.
I made a screenshot on the screen of my MBP, but it looks the same on any other screen :
Here is the export config :
If you need any other information I can send you them.

    What happened? I was taught that the internet uses sRGB and so my returned JPG should have had the muted colors, same as Assigning a JPG to sRGB has. What am i missing?

    Color-management is all about getting the most accurate view of the colors that you can so that you're viewing them as intended.
    In an ideal world with ideal computers, every image would contain all the information needed to fully describe the colors in it, and every system would display those colors accurately in every application.
    We're still kind of a long way off from that utopia, though every day things get a little better.
    There are two schools of thought:
    1.  Casual users can be perfectly happy when red things look red and blue things look blue, but the colors may not be accurate at a subtle level.  In this case, it can be possible to get many applications to match one another in the appearance of the images displayed on the same system, so things seem more consistent.
    2.  Professional or picky users may prefer to take the time to fully understand color-management, and calibrate and profile their systems, so that they can be sure what they're seeing is more accurate.
    In practical terms, it can actually seem counter-intuitive to the first group that after having spent money on devices to calibrate and profile a system, that Photoshop now displays things differently than other applications, which may display things differently than one another.
    Here are two possible scenarios, to illustrate this further:
    1. A typical user has a monitor with a more or less standard color gamut and not hugely different from sRGB.  So if this user both edits images in the sRGB profile, and has the sRGB profile associated with (and thus describing the characteristics of) the monitor, which is the Windows default, the following plays out...  When the user displays an sRGB image:
    A color transform by Photoshop from the image color space to the monitor color space does nothing (as both are identical), and the R,G,B pixel values from the image are sent to the monitor as is.  The monitor does a passable, though possibly inaccurate, job of displaying the image.
    Internet Explorer 9, which always does transforms from image color space to sRGB (regardless of monitor profile), also does nothing, so the image looks the same as in Photoshop.
    A non-color-managed application (e.g., IrfanView with Color Management turned off for speed) does no color management transforms by definition, so R,G,B values are just sent to the monitor and the image looks the same as above.  Earlier versions of IE and other earlier browsers do no color management and fall into this category as well.
    An application that's supposed to be fully color-managed, but which has bugs (e.g., some versions of Firefox) or may not understand all variants of color profiles, very likely DOES work properly with the sRGB profile, since it's the default on Windows and is well formed, and thus displays an sRGB image with no transform, and it looks the same as in all the above cases.
    An image expressed in a color space OTHER THAN sRGB will be inaccurately displayed by a non-color-managed application, but the color will only be as inaccurate as in all the above cases (because the monitor does not perfectly display sRGB) in properly functioning color-managed applications.
    See the pattern in the above?  Consistency.
    2.  Users seeking the most accurate possible color in their color-managed applications might choose high-end wide-gamut monitors (though even cheap monitors nowadays are starting to have wide gamuts), and might also purchase devices for calibrating and profiling their display(s) and printer(s).  What they then experience is this:
    Photoshop and other fully color-managed applications will display their images, regardless of color space, accurately.  A particular tone of red will be just that tone, and this will be true no matter what color space the image uses.
    Internet Explorer 9 will transform images from whatever color space to sRGB, so it will ALWAYS be inaccurate.   How inaccurate depends on how different the actual monitor characteristics are from sRGB.
    Non-color-managed applications will just display images without transform, so they'll be inaccurate depending on how different the image color profile is from the monitor's characteristics.  Images could end up looking oversaturated on a wide-gamut monitor.
    The color profile produced by the profiling software may not be perfectly well understood by all color-managed applications, leading to very strange displays.
    Folks in this category understand when to expect differences, and are ready to work out problems so that they get accurate color from the applications they expect to be fully color-managed.  They may avoid Internet Explorer and use Firefox or Safari instead so that they see accurate color from their browsers as well.  Given all this, in the applications (like Photoshop) that matter to them, they can make use of the entire color gamut of their monitors and printers, and can convert to sRGB for web publishing as needed.
    There is no easy answer as to which group is "better" to be in.  It depends on your needs and expectations, and it's actually even possible to try to straddle the fence some, with a compromise between the above extremes.
    I realize this may have raised more questions than it answered, but that is the nature of color-management.  I encourage you to read all you can until it finally starts to click.  Then you can make intelligent choices about which paths to take.

  • Can RMAN backup and export datapump executed at the same time?

    Hello,
    I have several databases that I backup using RMAN and export datapump everynight starting at 6PM and end at Midnight. The backup maintenance window doesn't give me enough time for each database to run at different time. I am using crontab to schedule my backups. Since I have so many databases that need to be backed up between 6PM - Midnight, some of the export and RMAN backup scripts will execute almost at the same time. My question is can my export data pump and RMAN backup scripts run at the same time?
    Thank you in advance.
    John

    Needs must. If you don't run expdp parallel then it doesn't use that much. If it was really killing the system then look into setting up a Resource plan that knocks that user down but this is a big step.
    I woud better look into using Rman
    system incrementals, and block change tracking, to minimize your RMAN time.
    Regards
    If your shop needs to do both simultaneously then go for it.
    Chris.
    PS : One of my shops has maybe 20-30 rmans and pumps all kicking off some simultaneous, some not, from 0000 to 0130. No complaints from users and no problems either. Go for it.

    Hi,
    I have the same problem. I hoped, that the advantage to flash is, that there is no difference between preview and publish (no compiler - you work directly with  the html and js files). But there is. Here is my topic with examples. Thanks for any help.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1095762?tstart=0
    So the question is: What is the difference between the preview files and publish files (except obfuscated javascrip). What are the reasons not to upload the preview files directly?

  • Pictures don't look the same inside Photoshop

    They look better, which is bad.  I save them to a folder, or upload them to the web, and they just don't look as good.  I've read some "solutions" but they never seem to work.  Photoshop does not reflect what the images show in Windows (folder, preview, browser).  I am only interested in working on what it will look like on the computer, not what it will look like when I print it.  I don't care about that (not for this project, anyway).

    You should read this: http://www.calibrize.com/primer1.html
    Then download and run this free calibration software:

  • AD intigrated DNS servers don't look the same but function perfectly, What am I missing?

    I have a fully functional Active Directory network with integrated DNS servers (2). When I look at one of the DNS servers (both 2008R2 Domain Controllers)  under the forward lookup zones I see all of my workstations, servers and other network devices
    as I would expect to see them however when I look at the other DNS server all I see is what appears to be stub zone data.
    On the questionable server I see
    SOA start of authority listing
    Name server  XXXXXXXXX
    Name Server XXXXXXXXX
    and one host(A) record for a server
    But there are no workstation or other servers in my network listed.
    If I query the questionable server it replys with the correct DNS information as though it is resolving the address query but I just see no workstation or server listings under Forward lookup zones.
    I can run dcdiag /test:dns and it all passes with the exception of a few failed external root servers which I see now and then. DNS testing tells me it is all working and I have no errors in my system logs.
    Shouldn't I be seeing an exact copy of DNS records on both servers or did something change?
    All DNS tests I have run tell me everything is well and good but I am not seeing what I think I should be seeing.
    HELP

    Hi,
    If your qeustionable DNS server and the another DNS sever are in the same domain and both of them are the AD integrated zone, we should see the exact copy of DNS records on both servers.
    Please try to trigger the replication of the domain controller then reload and refresh the DNS zone.
    If it doesn't work, please try to create a test record on the questionable server, then check if the record has been replicated to the another server.
    Best Regards.

  • How do I reset my security questions if I forgot the answers and I don't have the same email for verification?

    I Can't remember the answer to my security questions.
    THe he default email to reset is old.

    If you don't have access to your rescue email account (you won't be able to change it until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
    Contacting Apple about account security : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security
    If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
    When they've been reset you can then update your rescue email address for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses
    Or if it's available in your country you could change to 2-step verification : Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID

    Dear Bruce,
    Due the unsuccessful updation your iPhone has stuck in recovery mode. you need to download the iOS 7.0.2 iPSW from the following link http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7/091-9872.20130924.2wc82/iPhone4,1_7.0.2_11A501_Re store.ipsw
    and have to restore manually. you can do this by shift + mouse click the restore button in iTunes this will give you an opendialogue box to select the iPSW from which you want to update your iPhone. please make sure you have all the backup stored since this will be a restore not an update so you data will be lost and you will have to restore your data from backup.
    if this help please mark is as answered.

  • How can I export several versions at the same time?

    Greetings -
    I'm looking for something that I may just be missing, and hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
    Basically, I'd like to be able to select an image in my library and export several versions at the same time. For example, I select a photo and export JPG, TIFF and PSD versions in one shot without having to run three separate export requests - essentially a batch action. I can't imagine that this isn't built in already - I'm just assuming that I'm missing something obvious.
    Thanks in advance for any advice anyone might have.
    John.

    Fwiw, I've not seen this requested before.
    This kind of Export option is very typical, Kirby, when the rendering of the exported version will take a long time, for example for video or audio. Then you can share several formats at once, to render a version suitable for the web, for viewing on the computer, or the iPhone at the same time. That is really useful, if you render a movie at a full HD resolution and don't have to do it again for an iPhone/iPod version.
    QuickTime 7 does this for the "File > Export for Web" option, for example. You can get three versions of your final movie at the same time.
    And I just checked, the new iMovie Theater does this as well, when sharing a movie to the Theater:
    When you add a movie, trailer, or clip to the Theater, iMovie creates versions of your movie tailored for local playback, playback on an iOS device, and streaming.
    Come to think about it - exporting a webpage from Aperture will also export thumbnail sized images plus a larger version for downloading.

  • Classes don't behave the same in threads

    I'm trying to run a long list (an entire domain's users) in a thread. If I don't run the function as a thread it runs fine. But if I put it in a thread I get an error at run-time.
    Code:
    private void RunThread()
    Domain3 localDomain = GetDomain(); // callback function
    users = GetUsersList(); // callback function
    object[] fields = new object [datADGrid.Columns.Count];
    foreach (User3 user in users) // complains that it fails to match target type
    fields [0] = user.Name;
    int index = 1;
    The problem is in the foreach loop where, apparently, 'user' isn't of the same type as the components of the 'users' collection yet this same code works fine when run under a non-thread function. As a thread and as a stand-alone function the code calls the same callback functions to get the Domain and the Users.
    This is the callbackfunction for returning the User list. users is already set to reference domain.Users.
    Code:
    private Users GetUsersList()
    if (this.InvokeRequired)
    GetUsers d = new GetUsers(GetUsersList);
    this.Invoke(d, new object[] { });
    return users;
    else
    return users;
    I might add that I've also tried the User5 class.

    my colleague complained about this too until he turned his overprint preview/separations preview on.
    in the full suite, color management between the apps is handled by bridge but it is very easy to break by altering color settings in an one app without updating the others. go to bridge and to go the edit menu and select "creative suite color settings". the dialog box which comes up will tell you straight away if the profiles are synchronised or not.
    a method of control would be to take a sample pic into photoshop and make sure it has the same color profile applied to it as indesign is using. save it and close, and then open indesign and place the pic into indesign. how does it look now... similar, different? what happens when a pic which uses a different profile is placed into indesign... does it look the same or different? to really test this, take an RGB pic and convert it to CMYK using the SNAP profile, save and close. THEN, take the same RGB pic and convert it to CMYK using one of the FOGRA profiles and save that. place both into indesign and see what happens.
