Develop module in Lightroom 5 Disabled

I purchased LR5 and am unable to use Develop module. Notification say that trial version ended.
I've deleted the app and tried to reinstall but "error message 36" appears.
How can I solve this problem from the begining of turning laptop on? Thanks

If you purchased the Perpetual License key and have the 24 numeric key, then you probably have the Creative Cloud version installed which is paid via a monthly or annual subscription.
You will need to uninstall this application using the normal uninstall process.
This will not affect your existing Catalog File, Preferences or personal files, it will just remove the application.
Download the Lightroom installation package  from the link below. Reboot your system and then run the install package and input the license key to activate.

  • Where can I find the equivalent tools in Photoshop that are in the develop module of Lightroom

    Friends:
Where can I find the equivalent tools in Photoshop that are in the develop module of Lightroom?  For example I would like to use the shadow, clarity, lens correction and such tools but cannot find them in Photoshop.
    Thanks amigos

The obvious or not so obvious first. Depending on your knowledge. When you open a tiff, jpg, or camera' raw format they can be opened in Adobe Camera raw first which has identicle controls to lightroom's develop module.
Starting with I beleive CS5 maybe 4, some of the tools made their way into photoshop it self. Take a look at the camera lens filter, the Image>Adjustment menu or the adjustment layers which now support vibrance for example.

  • I own LR and Develop module has been disabled---asking for me to renew membership??

I purchased Lightroom in 2013 (not Creative Cloud subscription). I recently purchased a new computer and downloaded LR to that one. I have LR registered under my Adobe ID and its listed under "products" that I own, I'm signed into LR with my Adobe ID on my desktop. When I downloaded the program, I used my key I received when I purchased the program to get it up and running. Today I tried going into the Develop module and it says that it has been disabled and to renew my membership to get access to the Develop module again. I do not have the CC subscription...I own it. SOOO, I've been searching and trying to follow Adobe troubleshooting for a few hours and now I've decided to see if I can just get the answer here. Where can I input my key in the program on the desktop or get it to see that I OWN the program and do not need to purchase the membership? On my desktop CC icon, it says that my "trial version" has expired.
    Thanks in advance!

LR Develop module shows "Disabled. Please renew your membership".You can reinstall the creative cloud application from the below link and then sign in with your Adobe ID(email address registered with Adobe)

  • Hello, my develop module has been disabled at the end of the trial period but I have purchased Creative Cloud 2 days ago.  Anyone have any assistance on this issue?

How do I reactivate my develop module? I already have Creative Cloud but it keeps telling me to renew my membership.

You will have to clear the cache mentioned on this advisory:
Lightroom doesn't launch or returns "Develop module is disabled" error after 5.5 update

  • I cannot use the Develop module in Lightroom.  How do I renew my membership to reactivate the Develop module?

I recently updated the my Lightroom to5.5: now I can't develop my images: I'm asked to reactivate my Develop module.  How do you do that?  I've signed out of the creative cloud and signed back in but that doesn't work.  Any ideas please?

Right click in the panel and there will be a pop up with selections available to correct.

  • Develop module in Lightroom CC not working

I've just installed Lightroom CC& used it to create a panorama and a HDR, both of which were successful. I then tried to edit them in the Develop module but was rewarded with a blue screen where the image should be; I then found that this happened to all the images I tried to edit.
I then imported the panorama and HDR to Lightroom 5.7, and tried to edit them - successfully. So it works in Lightroom 5.7, but not in CC - does anybody know what's happening?

    Hi there,

  • Why has my Develop Module has been disabled?

I have just uploaded some photos and find everything works except the develop module which has been disabled.
It says "Please renew your membership to reactivate the Develop module".
There are no instructions on how to do this or explanation.
I purchased LR5 in July 2014 and am totally unaware of a Membership arrangement.
Please can anyone explain this and what I have to do?

    Hi Jim
Sorry to interrupt your Christmas but thanks a lot for your help.
It was a bit of a shock when it happened.
July 22 this year (5 months) was the first time I purchased LR and I didn't know about CC then and I don't use it.
I have followed your instructions and lo and behold it worked perfectly. Even all my plug-ins are still there.
    Let's hope it keeps working!!!
Enjoy the rest of your holiday and have a Happy New Year.
    regards
    James

  • Image not being shown in develop module.  Lightroom CC 2015

I just installed the latest version 6 CC and when moving from library to the develop module the image turns to a blue rectangle with an x across the middle.  I've checked updates and everything is current.  I've checked may of my settings and all seems normal, and I've updated Camera RAW settings as well.  Any clues would be very helpful.  Running Lightroom CC 2015 on Windows 7..

In the preferences dialog, Performance tab, try turning off the GPU usage.

  • Update Develop Module in Lightroom 4.2

I have Lightroom 4.2 on my macbook pro and it does not present me with sliders for highlights, shadows, whites and blacks as it does in the develop module on my iMac.  Why and how do I fix?

Whenever you see the new Basic panel sliders that you describe - this means that the current image you are viewing in LR, uses Process Version 2012. This is the default for new imports. But the exact same software running on the same computer will instead show the "older" LR3-compatible Develop sliders automatically, including Fill Light / Recovery etc, whenever the current image uses Process Version 2010 or earlier.
Typically a particular image appears under the older Process Version because it has previously been worked on in LR 3.x.
LR4 continues to respect that prior work, in order not to change the appearance of the image (unasked) - not only the selection of adjustments available, but also their effects, are changed under PV2012.
But if you wish to update a particular image to PV2012 and then deal with the consequences (in effect, partly re-process the image) you can click on the warning icon on lower right corner of the image in Develop - or there is a menu option, or (IIRC) a dropdown menu inside Camera Calibration, that can be used with one or many highlighted images.

Re: Lightroom 5.5 "Develop Module Disabled, please renew your membership"

  • 'Develop module disabled' and No 'SLS cache or SLS store' folders anywhere. Also no registration document

It has been working fine but it suddenly says that develop module has been disabled. I have looked for solutions on the internet and could not find the SLS cache or SLS store folders where they were supposed to be. It asks for the licence number every time I log in so it might be to do with that. I have uninstalled and re-installed but this made no difference. I don't understand what the problem is and not having the files I mentioned means that I can't find a solution. I also had a look at where the registration document should be and there isn't one. I think files are missing that shouldn't be but have no idea how to change that. I'm working on Windows 8 PC.

Your statements contradict one-another.  Did you subscribe with an annual program or did you buy a boxed/downloaded product?
It sounds like you have tried these solutions? Lightroom doesn't launch or returns "Develop module is disabled" error after 5.5 update
