Develop the Org-chart style page in OAF--Need suggestions

How would I go about creating a basic organisation chart using css? What I want is a series of boxes with job titles in them which appear vertically and with a connecting line in the center.
For the above requirement i need to develop the OAF page. can you provide any valid suggestions to me to acheive this kind of requirement.
Is there any CSS styles for org-chart style..

I doubt you'll be able to achieve your exact requirement in OAF. Try experimenting with other techs like Flash, AJAX or HTML.

    Thanks for the answer, but I know this already.
    My problem is, that the small picture in the side panel and the histogram in LR5 are bigger than in LR4.
    The two pictures are showing the difference between the versions.
    On the left hand (LR4) you can see a smaller preview and histogram than on the right hand (LR5).
    In each version you can change the size of the side panel only as small as the preview-window is.
    The pictures are also showing the smallest size of the side panel in each version.

    Does anyone know how to create an employee organization chart in pages?

    Hi Mike,
    Welcome to the discussions.
    You can use the Shapes, which you can add text to, to form your org chart. All the shapes except the thin lines can be text containers. You just double-click them to get the text insertion cursor to appear. After that you can treat them pretty much as Text Boxes.
    If you need help on working with Shapes, let us know. To automatically connect a line between two shapes/text boxes, select both objects and the Insert > Connection Line. This connection line will stay connected as you move the shapes around, but I've found it to be rather limited in usefulness since you can't control where the connection will be. You can predict, but you can't control.

  • Nakisa Org unit's boss in the org chart

    Hi everyone,
    In the Nakisa Org Chart I'd like to place teh portrait of the leader of an org unit into the Org unit view box. I'm not talking about the positions I'm talking about the org units.
    My question is: Is this possible? I know that this is possible in the positions. But what about the org units?  The problem is when I add a image I can't see possible fileds becasue there is no Photo Url field:
    The only available field int he Picture section is: SAP OrgUnitHierarchyViewDetail2
    But when I choose this,  there is no Picture Url field in the selectabe fileds.
    As I see this issue need some hacking. I have to modify the Function module, which retrieves the data, and change some non-used field to the picture Url

    Hi there,
    You need to do it in the AppResources.xml file. You need to locate the detail configuration used by the view configuration that you want to add it to and add a linked detail to the SAPEmployeeDetailsConfiguration. The linked detail will look something like this:

    Change the two values to the correct ones for those details (they must be matching fields for each detail). If you then go back to the View designer you should be able to add fields from SAPEmployeeDetailsConfiguration.

  • I have the i-pad   'Apple Pages' app that needs updating but i keep getting the message that this app is incompatible with the i-pad.  What's the deal?? updating.

    why can't I update the i-pad specific app "Apple Pages".  I keep getting a message that says this app is incompatible with the i-pad.  I don't know how to fix this. makes it really inconvenient to up other apps......I have to do them one at a time since I can't remove "Pages" from the update list.

    I had the same problem ,  u have to update to iOS 5 since the pages app has updates that are made to work

  • Firefox 3.6 or 4.0 will not connect to online college past the student log-in page: Any fixes or suggestions?

    Since I upgraded my laptop through both 3.6 and the 4.0 versions of the Firefox browser I have not been able to log onto the secure student website at aiuonline.edu ; my desktop did not get upgraded and I am still able to log on and do what I have to do.
    I am running AVG anti-virus and have ran MS Malicious Software Detector and Remover...I do not have a virus or any other Malware. I have checked the security settings, cleared history, cleared cookies, cleared the SSL, ran cleanup, and ran defrag. I know it is a problem with the browser. I was wondering if anyone is encountering the same problem and if they have found any fixes to the problem.

    I have tried all of the options in that first link you showed and none worked. I also configured my firewall (Windows Firewall) and ensured firefox was in the "Allow" list, which it was. I still have the issue.
    I did notice something interesting though. When I first checked the firewall, Mozilla firefox wasn't on the list at all. I had to manually add it and then made sure it was allowed to connect to the internet. Even after I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, I never got one of those windows notifications asking me if I wanted to add a rule for firefox. Checking the firewall settings again, firefox was still absent. I don't think it matters, firefox doesn't work with no rules at all in the firewall, or if I manually add the rule and allow firefox to connect.
    Any other thoughts?

  • Org Chart link not coming for the user

    I am trying to configure the Org Chart by Nakisa. The connection to SAP has been established using Single Sign-on. I am able to log-on successfully as a user. But I only get the 'Preferences' link under Quick Start but not the 'Org Chart'. Any idea what could be the problem?

    I will look in the authorization issue. Is the authorization object S_RFC enough or do we need anything else?
    I am using "http://XXXorgchart1/OrgChart/default.aspx" as the link for logging in, where XXX is the company name. Is that what you meant by server name? I am not a technical person, so my understanding may not be correct.

  • Org Chart Shapes are no longer recognized as org chart shapes by Visio 2013

    I created an org chart in Visio 2013 by importing data from Excel.  It generated the org chart properly.  I then began cleaning up (i.e. Best Fit to Page, changing layouts on pages, changing size & spacing) as need to be visually more
    appealing.  After cleaning up many pages, Visio no longer recognized the shapes on the page as org chart shapes.  This now causes the 'Best Fit to Page' feature to display a msg stating "Add organization chart shapes to your drawing, and
    try again."  It also causes the 'position' (employee) shapes under a 'manager' shape to no longer move with the manager shape when the manager is repositioned.  This is now true for all shapes on all pages in my org chart.  Can the
    shapes be fixed to go back to being recognized as org chart shapes?

  • Visio 2013 Org Chart Pictures using Exchange as a Data Source

    When I run the org chart wizard it creates the org charts however no pictures show up. How do I make the pictures show up when Exchange is the data source? We use Exchange 2010, Lync 2010, Outlook 2010 & 2013 and pictures show up in all those apps and
    are loaded in AD.
    WHat needs to be checked or configured to have the org-chart in Visio 2013 show those pictures?

  • Adding a new variable to Org Chart

    Good Day Experts,
    I am a begineer on Nakisa and have referenced the Nakisa OrgChart Administrator Guide. I have a requirement to modify the Org Chart, with the default view for Manager. The users want to see the Cost Centre as well along with the current details already displayed i.e. Org Unit Name, Manager Name and Manager Position. The current view template used is OU_Manager_4L. We need to add cost centre to the display along with existing fields. The standard data element already has cost centre available.
    Is changeing the style sheet the only requirement to add the new field. We have done that for groupou_manager_c4f0c2cd93064be and it is placed in the delta folder. We have also modified the XSL to change the window length and width which now works. However the cost centre field is not visible. The issue i have is there is no mapping available for the Cost Centre field when i look at the view mapping. There are 2 questions which i am not sure of
    1. The template has only display for 4 fields, does that mean the template needs to be modified to add a new field for display.
    2. Is there anyother option to add an additional display field and would that be a correct approach given that the view designer wont show the mapping option for the field.
    Also if there is any reference available where a template is modified, if anyone can share the same it would help.

    Thanks for the response, i believe we have tried that. The XSL has been modified to both add cost center and change the box length/width. The cost centre bit has been adapted from the cost center xsl as you mentioned. The file has been deployed in the .delta folder.
    We can see the change in the box width/length but no cost center information is displayed, the cost center is dispayed however in the details section, which proves it has a value. I have amended the CC to external variable, variable mapping section and displayNonMultiManagerOu template which gets called from icons-display for HTML display and flex-display template sections. Not sure if i have missed anything.
    The only reason why i thought this was a template issues, was because i mapped the Cost centre data on the view configuration to manager position field on the template and it showed up the cost centre. So i would assume that the mapping has more of a role to play here, correct me if i am wrong.

    I am using ERP2004 SP10.
    I am able to call org chart from who's who. but it opens in same window, so lose the result list when i exit from org chart. I want org chart to appear as pop up. How can i achieve this. I have already specified page/iview for org chart as "Open in new window" but this is not helping.
    Any suggesstion will be great help.

    I have done what you say in your answer to Sudhir about the 'Org chart integration with Who's who'. The error about: "Service EMPLOYEE_ORGCHART_SERVICE does not exist" is ok. However, when I click on the link to the org chart from who's who now, we obtain a new  blank page. There aren't any information in this new page. The browser try open the next url:

  • Trouble with Org Chart

    I created an org chart on visio 2010  with only the executive team that I plan to publish on Sharepoint 2010.
    However, I need help. Take for example John Smith, he is a director and has 15 people on his team. Only John will be visible on the org chart. The rest of his team will only be visible when someone clicks on John’s name, a box with the 15 team mates appear
    next to John’s name.
    So, in short I want to create a hyperlinked box only visible when someone clicks on John’s Name.. I don’t want the box to open in a new page/window. Is it possible?

    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to hide the sub team in the ORG chart until you need to show it.
    Please try to right click the "director shape">Click Hide subordinates.
    If there is a sub team hided, it 'll show a small icon in the right bottom. Just right click shape> Show subordinates

  • How to customise charting styles?

    I'm currently looking for a way to customise the styles
    available in cfchart. I have to place 9 charts on an A4 page in
    landscape i.e. 3 rows of 3 charts, each of size width 280 and
    height 190.
    Is there anybody who can please help me with the following?
    1. If you choose a particular size in the fontsize attribute
    of the cfchart tag, all labels have this size. Is there a way to
    style the fontsize of the x-axis data labels to be smaller,
    independently of the fontsize of the remaining labels? Something
    similar to MS Excel.
    2. Is there a way to increase the graph area? Ok, you would
    say make the fonts smaller. But at a certain fontsize, e.g. below
    Arial Narrow font size 8, it is barely readable. I want to be able
    to resize the graph area e.g. like in MS Excel or Crystal Reports.
    Is there a way to do this?
    3. Can the position of the legend be changed? By default it
    appears in the centre on top of the charts. Is there a way to
    position it differently?
    You can imagine with the space available to place 3 charts of
    width 280px next to each other, the display will definitely suffer,
    especially if e.g. the x-axis data labels are quite long.
    In fact, the only things that I've already changed are:
    1. x-axis orientation to vertical in default.xml
    2. using Arial Narrow size 8

    Ok, I've used the webcharts.bat file in the
    "CFusionMX7\charting" directory to create a style called
    myStyle.xml which I've saved in the "CFusionMX7\charting\styles\"
    directory. See code below.
    However when I try to use this style in the cfchart
    style="myStyle" the x-axis font
    DOESN'T display font size 8!!!
    I need to
    MANUALLY set the font attributes.

    Any idea why this is so, or any idea how to customise the
    charts further?

  • Visio 2013 Org Chart Changing Picture Quality

    Hi,
    I'm trying to make an org chart with a lot of employees. I can generate the chart with the wizard, but if I add pictures, Visio tends to crash before finishing. I ended up generating the org chart with the wizard and then added the pictures using vba and the
    ChangePicture function. This works well enough to solve the crashing problem. However, for larger JPEG images (300KB or larger), many of them don't seem to show up. If they do, they tend to randomly disappear and reappear when I go through the different pages
    of the chart and come back to it. Is there a way to lower the picture quality using vba before or after putting them on the chart?

    In regarding of the issue, we might try to troubleshooting the Visio 2013 crash during you using the Organization chart and check if it is helpful. I have some questions:
    How many images do you insert to the diagram?
    Where do you get the
    organization information (Photos)? Form exchange server, text, excel file or ODBC-compliant data source?  
    Please try the following methods:
    Install the latest patches.
    Start Visio in
    safe mode.
    Repair Visio.
    Add the size of virtual memory
    If the issue still exists, please check what happened when Visio 2013 crash via the
    event log.
