Is your current Z t-code not supporting Service requisitions with item category " D "?
Then you can request ABAP to add those requsitions to be selected in the Z -Program

Hi,
The custom report that you develop will only be able to provide information that is accessible in the Integration Engine. i.e. say there is a message which has passed through IE but failed in the adapter, then as your program will extract the details from IE, you will get a success in the report where as it is actually failed in the AE. Hence i am not sure if there is a way to get the details that you want. However you can get the duration of execution and other details from Performance monitoring in XI. Not sure if this helps but i would suggest you have a look at that and check if it helps in anyway.

Need guidance to develop the Universe & Reports

Hi Friends,
I am new to Business Object and given with the assignment of migrating the existing Oracle On Demand reports to Business Objects.
I am provided with the sample reports and there query and asked to develop Universe and subsequent reports based on it as its present in Oracle On Demand. There is no relationship document for the data source, probably based on the query need to identify the relationships among the tables and develop the universe and on top of it the reports needs to be developed.
I require guidance from the experts out there what steps I need to start with to execute this assignment successfully. What should be the question to the report end user to understand there requirement where to start with Universe development or any other the things which helps me to execute this in right path.
Please share your best practices and knowledge.

Ask the abaper to write an query from the table S032 there you can find the option of last good receipt date and the last goods issue issue date.
consider the various good mvt in between these dates calcuate the diffence betwee the current date and the last good issue date, so that you can abel to get the stock list that is not moving for more than 60 days,120 days etc
You can also use MC46, MC50, MB5M - expiration date list . In case if that does not solve their requirement then you need take logic from client and you need to develop own report

I want to develope the singlr report as follows,
I/p : Project defn / Top WBSE
Out put:-
Against whole project,
- Total Original budget
- Total Actuals
- Total Commitments
- Total Assigned value
- Total Available budget
I found the Total Original budget (Field name :- WLGEV) & Total Actuals(Field name:- WTGES) from table BPGE, but could not able to find out other fileds.
Can anyone guide me for balance work ? (Note:- Please note that I need to find out overall value against the Project & not against the lower level WBSE)

Take 'Project for selection as PRPS_PSPHI
Select all WBSE ie PRPS-OBJNR for which PSPHI is same. This was you select all WBSE for a project.

the table names are stocks, indcat etc, generally these demo script come along with the demo CD provided by oracle as i don't have the CD i am looking for these table creation script. if you have these scripts kindly share the same with me.

Question about the role Reporting Developer

Hi Experts,
I created a role for reporting developer. With this role a user can create queries without problem. But I faced an error when I tried to attach the map.
The error messages are:
"System error when downloading shape files from BDS."
"Data connection for map "cntry200" could not be established."
"Query can not be displayed on a map."
another question is, what does authorization object Broadcast Settings mean? It would be more helpfull with examples.

For instance, now I am working as a reporting developer or a reporting user.
step 1: run RRMX Analyzer
step 2: open a query
step 3: now I want to attach a map into the report. Layout -> attach map
And then I get this message.
However, it is no problem when I run Layout -> attach chart.

Re: Column is not getting displayed in the BI report

Hello Gurus,
I have developed a BI report with more number of parameters.
Case 1:
When i run my report , I am able to see data for particular condition but one column doesn't show any thing. All the rows in the column are blank.
Case 2
I tried to put the blank column as parameter, The Program works with out displaying that column data.
I am not sure where it is going wrong. I tried running the code in toad and i am able to see the data.
I have checked the code, Parameter description, length, Template and data definition.
Please help.

For that column did u changed any alias name in the query...
check ur template once by loading the xml data...
check that column form field that matches with the xml tag or not..

How to develp a subreport in the same page of the main report and processed when is called

Hi guys,
I am developing a report that includes a subreport.
therefore The report is made up by 2 sections:
1) Show a grid (several rows - may be 100 or more - and some columns). It represent high level info (Each row represent a specific item)
2) The user click on a Row/column (eg: Item1, to see details that must be shown as graph.
Here the problem: Searching info about SSRS reporting for subreports, drilldown, nested report and so on, no ones accomplish the requirements for the following reasons:
1) Subreports: NOT open in the same page. The user must <go back> to see detail for other items, such as Item 2....
2) Nested and DrillDown: Process data as the Main report (they are hidden and displayed after user action). In my case this leads to performance problem, because: if the main report has 200 objects (it means 200 graphs processed and hidden at the same time
for the main reports).
3) DrillThrough and Subreport: The detail data are processed only when the user select the interested item in the main report. Here the problem: the report is shown externally.
Please, it there any possibility to have a subreport (or anything else) to be executed in the same report as the main report and processed only when the user make action?

According to your description, there is a main report with more than 100 rows of summary information, when users click the item of the row, the report need to jump to detail information shows as graph. The problem you are facing is that you are not sure
subreport, drilldown or drillthrough report should be used? You hope to set display detail information in the main report and keep high performance of report.
In Reporting Services, each subreport instance is a separate query execution and a separate report processing task. Subreports are recommended when there are just a few subreport instances. We should not use subreports inside a group when there are many
group instances, instead, consider using drillthrough reports. Drilldown reports process all data even when the data is first hidden. In order to improve the performance of the report, we can split drilldown reports into parameterized drillthrough reports,
because Drillthrough reports do not run until a user clicks the drillthrough link in the main report.
In this case, we can consider using drilldown or drillthrough report. In drilldown report, when we click a plus or minus button to expand or collapse a section of a report, the detail data will be displayed in place. By using drillthrough report, when we
click the link in the main report, the detail data will be displayed, we can come back to the main report by click return button in the drillthrough report.

Visual Studio 2008 Crashes when I click on the [Main Report Preview] button

I started with Crystal Reports Basic that is bundled with Visual Studio, and then downloaded and installed the free trial of Crystal Reports Developer 2008, and the Visual Studio Integration Manager, the issue has not been affected.
After adding a crystal report to the project and using the wizard to set it up, and adding a Crystal Reports Viewer to a form I encountered these two (perhaps related) problems.
1)      When I click on the [Main Report Preview] button at the bottom of the report editor for Visual Studio crashes without any error message and needs to be restarted.
2)      When I set the viewer Report Source property to the report via the drop down the following error occurs:
a.       u201CUnable to find the report in the manifest resources. Please build the project and try again.u201D
b.      Building the project has no affect and the same error reoccurs repeatedly.

The original version of CR 2008 did not work with .NET 2008. If your version is 12.0.0.549, you need to apply SP0:

then I'd highly recommend SP 3:
