Create 3 fixed vertical elasticity, variable horizontal elasticity frames top to bottom down the page. Create a repeating from within each of those frames with a print direction of down/across. Set the horizontal elasticity to variable. create a fixed vertical/horizontal elasticity frame inside of those that's 1/3 the height of your repeating frame and the full width of your page. Add all your fields inside this last frame.

  • Call Developer 2000 Reports/Forms from PL/SQL stored proc.

    Hello all,
I am searching for a method for a stored procedure on Oracle 8.0 to call a Oracle Developer 2000 Report or Form.
    Any suggestions,
    Thanks,
    Julian

    No offense,
Do you mean calling a trigger in a Form or Report to fire off another of the same? Or do you mean how do I fire Forms from a Database stored procedure?
Please I don't mean any offense, it is just hard, sometimes to say simple concepts and not sound, well, bad.
Otherwise think about it. A Stored procedure is run inside the database, it has no idea where you client is, and doesn't know which type of client you have (X-Windows, Microsuck), and doesn't know how to fire off an app on the client.
One concept that is hard, sometimes, to get is where things are run. Forms runs on an Apps Server (Java screens), or a client, like on a PC. Stored procedures run, usually, on a whole different box, a database server. The database server is not that well connected that it can fire off a app on a client. Try to go to a Unix database server and run a command to fire off Internet Explorer on your client!? Not real easy to do.

  • Reports Builder 10g hanging while printing

    Hi all,
We have a printing issue with our Reports Builder 10g. When I run a report, select FILE and PRINT and click o.k, Reports Builder hangs where it trys to format page one. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Strange, my ReportBuilder works with File/Print but hangs when printing from the print icon.
ReportBuilder is not a robust product. It hangs and crashes frequently. Little has been done to correct. Except for the auto-save/crash-recovery feature - that is a job saving addition to the product.
That said, lots-o-features get added from one release to the next, but precious little attention seems to be given to improving stability.

  • Developper 2000 Report builder 3.0.5.8.0 bug

In Report builder 3.0.5.8.0 I can't open some of my *.rdf files.
When trying to open no error message is generated and the "open
    dialog" reappears.
Some other files can be normally open.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

    Hi!
    1. Make sure no one else has opened the same file.
    2. Dont put image on your report.

  • Oracle Developer 2000 Reports Problem

Report is developed in D2K Reports 6i
    There is paragraph as follows
    < variable text 1><Telephone No><variable text 2>
eg this is sentence one contact 123 22 22 22 this is sentence two.
Because of variation of length of < variable text 1> at runtime, report displays this paragraph as follows -
this is sentence one this is sentence one this is contact 123 22 22 22 this is sentence two.
Please note that the telephone number is displayed partly on line 1 and partly on line 2. This is not acceptable.
Please suggest a solution to display the entire telephone no in one line and also justify the first line so that the entire text appears to be in same paragraph ie it is continuous, there are no unnecesseary spaces
    ie the expected text is
this is sentence one this is sentence one this is contact
    123 22 22 22 this is sentence two.

Hi Suman. What u want to do ? U want get the
data into the MS Word file. If this thing you want to ask then certainly u can do that.
Make sure that u'r report should run in BitMap mode instead of character mode.
After that u can go to the option Generate to file and generate the output into RTF format.
    Hope this helps.

  • Running Oracle reports 2.5 designed using developer 2000 in Oracle9i

We are in the process of upgrading our database from 8.0.6 to 9i (9.0.2). We have some developer 2000 reports (using reports version 2.5) that are running in AIX verion 5.1 currently. How do we run these scripts in 9i environment? Any suggested documentation from OTN or other sources would grately appreciated. Thanks.

Check your printer setting on your unix machine. You need to install a default printer on that machine.

  • How to add a new font into Report Builder and Oracle Forms/Reports Server?

    Hi,
I've searched the forum and can't find this being discussed.
My developers run Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2 on their XP laptops.
Their reports run (in production) on Oracle Forms/Reports Server 10.1.2.0.2.
This server runs on MS Windows 2003, SP2.
They've got a client who wants reports using the "Garamond Western" font.
So....how do I get this font onto the developer's Report Builder laptops, and onto the Oracle Forms/Reports Server?
I've moved various 'Garamond' fonts into C:\WINDOWS\FONTS on both the laptops and the server, but neither seem to recognize it.
    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks.
This answers 1/2 of my question.
The developer can now use Report Builder on his laptop, with the new fonts.
But when he moves this new Report to the Oracle Application Server/Forms-Reports Server, it fails to use the new fonts.
The Oracle App Server/Forms-Report Server is Version 10.1.2.0.2. It runs on MS Windows 2003, SP2.
I have installed the exact same fonts on this server, into C:\WINDOWS\Fonts.
I have used REGEDIT to change REPORTS_PATH....and placed C:\WINDOWS\Fonts; as the first value in this field.
I have then stopped and restarted the Forms-Reports Server.

  • Report Builder 6i will not start

I have developer 6i Report Builder and Form Builder on new laptop. Installation appeared to work fine. However, when I try to start Report Builder, it shows the splash screen for a few seconds and then it just goes away. The application will not open. Same for the Form Builder. I did Typical install for each, so I believe all requisite components have also been installed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Some progress, but still not there..... Last night I un-installed my 11g client and developer 6i. Then, I installed 6i first. I verified that I was able to open both Report Builder and Form Builder applications. Then I re-installed the 11g client. Again, I was still able to run both developer applications. HOWEVER, when I try to open existing reports, the Report Builder immediately closes without giving an error. When I try to open an existing form, Form Builder gives me "Failed to load in the color pallette". It appears to load the form, but when I look, it is missing most of the trigger and program unit data.

  • Report Builder Question: Printing PO's from E-Business Suite - POXPRPOL

I'm hoping there's someone who has the time to help me: We are using Report Builder 9, Oracle 9i, and E-Business Suite 11.5.10.
I am a new developer using Oracle, and need to make some changes to the seeded (default) POXPRPOL (Purchase Order Print - Landscape) report, using Report Builder.
    I have two problems:
    1. When I print PO Releases from E-Business Suite, and specify I want releases 1 through 2, I get those fine, but the first page is my "Purchase Agreement". The question is: Is there any way (programatically or otherwise) to say "When the "Release" fields are filled out, don't include the Purchase Agreement?
    2. Somehow, after making a few changes to the POXPRPOL report, my quantity has disappeared. Is there any suggestions on how this could happen? I look at the query where they are using "POL.QUANTITY_TO_PRINT" for the working and the non-working reports, and they look identical.
I'm hoping DESPERATELY that someone can help me - I'm really in a bind...
    Thanks!
    Steve

    Srini,
Thanks so much for your reply!!!
    1. Ok, but how do I hide a whole page? I noticed the conditional formatting, but I want to "not print" a whole page when this page is a "Purchase Agreement".
    2. I've checked the source - it's coming from POL.QUANTITY_TO_PRINT - POL is a view that is unpopulated. I assume it's populated at run-time. So now I am trying to track down where it's populated, but can't find that in report builder. The quantity is being taken into account, because I put a total at the bottom of the page, and that number matches price * pol.quantity_to_print. Very strange...
Finally, here's another question, if you don't mind:
    3. When I print a purchase order that is set up as a blanket, as I mentioned before, I get my "Purchase Agreement" first, and then one (or more) pages per release. But the "Page Number" on each is "1" because each is a one-page PO. But my "total pages" is "3", so each page reads "Page 1 of 3". Any idea if there's a way around that?
Thanks again! Hoping you have some more insight! :)
    Cheers!
    Steve
