Developer 6.0 or Developer 2000

Can anyone tell me what's the difference between Developer 6.0 and Developer 2000? I'm new on Oracle development and trying to figure out which one I should install on my PC. I've read through many posted topics but could figure it out from those messages.

Developer 6.0 is the next version of Developer/2000. I recommend you to install Developer 6.0 for your new application.

I only had it on one other computer before I added it to this second computer, and I understand we get 3 copies. There should not be any issues. I need an answer ASAP.. actually pretty shocked that there is no immediate customer service that I can contact for a problem like this.

If the develop module is disabled then you have downloaded and installed Lightroom from the creative cloud. It cannot be licensed with a serial number. It requires a creative cloud subscription, and is activated and kept active with your Adobe ID and password. That version will not work on your computer and will have to be uninstalled. Then you can install from one of these two links:
Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1
Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1
This will have no impact on your catalog or your images. After you install from the right website you will be able to continue where you left off.

Can anybody let me know what's the difference between Oracle SQL Developer vs Oracle SQL Developer Migration Workbench tools.
I am in the process of Migrating MS-Access Application to APEX. So the example says me to use Oracle SQL Developer Migration Workbench. Is this part of Oracle SQL Developer? If yes, I know SQL Developer is free.
If not is Oracle SQL Developer Migration Workbench if free?

Difference between Web Service Developer and Web Compononent Developer?

What's the difference between Web services Developer and Web Component Developer? What's their job description. I'm aiming to be a web application developer. Which track should I follow?

I believe the people who said JSE is only for desktop development are not correct, as well as their saying their are 2 kinds of developer (web service and component).
As I understand it, web service developers provide a way to expose the data and functionality of a program written in a particular language (such as Java or C#) as XML documents to anyone subscribing to the service over the internet. The remote applications subscribing to the service therefore can be written in any other language. For example, imagine a Cobol program trying to get data from a program written in Java. Since both cobol and Java should have ways to parse XML documents, they don't have to know each other's syntax. There are many programs written in many many languages in the web and XML is a standard way for them to communicate. Web Services are an advanced topic and you shouldn't worry about it until you master web applications and/or desktop applications.
As I understand it, a web component developer creates java widgets that produce some visual image with basic functionality associated with it. For example, an html button. These widgets are used by other developers for the presentation layer when creating a web application or desktop application. I'm not sure about this definition since I never messed with web component development. I suggest you keep way from this specialized area on concentrate on web applications and/or desktop applications.
You can consider application development as devided into two general categories. Web development and Desktop development (there are others). Web development is further broken down into browser based applications and mobile device applications. I suspect their are more jobs in web development than desktop development. I therefore suggest you concentrate on browder based web development (just my opinion). To answer your third question, No, NetWeaver Developer Studio (NDS) isn't to replace ABAP or ABAP workbench. NDS helps in creating Java based applications to compliment with the ABAP programs and enable them accessible via the Enterprise Portal. ABAP would stay to be the primary development language for SAP systems. The newest version of NetWeaver software also come with an option of ABAP stack where in you can develop web based applications (accessible via the portal) using ABAP

Sytax highlighiting for jsp in Developer Studio for portal development.

I am doing JSP with the htmlb taglib for portals. When I edit a jsp page in the Developer Studio, I expect syntax highlighting. This is what I see in the documentation for jsp editing as well - you know where the keywords are highlighted.

OutputSuccess.jsp, OutputSuccessText.jsp are the two jsp's that are syntax highlighted on this page.
In my Developer Studio this is not the case. Is a JSP editor and its highlighting not part of the Developer Studio. If it is, how do I get it to work.
I also know that given the right taglib's, the editor also gives autocomplete for taglibs with its settings. I am hoping to speed up my development with this.
Right now I am using a text editor for this. There are a couple of jsp plugin's such as exadel or lomboz which I can integrate if a jsp syntax editor is not there in the Developer Studio. I just wanted to know the right way to go about this.

I guess I don't really agree with that. There are still a few Mac magazines around. Interestingly, they are often magazines from the UK. I find it funny that there isn't a big enough market in the US to support homegrown Mac magazines, but they continue to print them in the UK with a much smaller market, and ship them over here. Now I greatly disagree. Not only is Google not your friend, but it (or rather the internet - it gets hard to tell the two apart anymore) is turning into a massive source of disinformation. There was a time when programmers were expected to read the manual, read magazines, and try things out in order to figure out how to do something. Now, we are expected to just Google it.
Well, I do Google things on a regular basis and I find the advice dispensed to be wrong or otherwise useless more than half the time. Google is on the way out. Information networks are the wave of the future. That is why people come here. Apple Discussions is more reliable than Google.

In build results , But i see some extra lines in code signing process.

I think much of the thread you were reading was about a hack to get code signing to work on a G4. If you noticed extra lines, I take it you've built successful distribution binaries in the past. So if you're still using the same system I don't think you'll need any perl scripts.
Take a look at the procedure I recently posted. It was intended for cases where mobile provisioning isn't found in the package, but it may help with other problems too. [http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9193471#9193471].
If you need stronger medicine, follow the link under that procedure to Doug Lerner's recent thread, which deals with a project that had been building correct distribution packages but stopped doing so for no apparent reason.
I don't remember seeing those setenv lines during any of my builds, but they look like normal shell script commands so I wouldn't focus on them exclusively.

How to install Developer 10g suite on windows 2000

I downloaded the two files namely ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1 and
ds_windows_x86_101202_disk2.
When I try to install these after extracting to one temp folder and when I run the setup
on windows 2000 OS, I am always getting the the error insert disk 1 or specify the location of the product .
Please suggest how to proceed.
Also if I extract the above files can I proceed with that or are there are any additional files to be extracted. I fact I went through all the files and folders and whereever there was archive files I have extracted them.
I need urgent help to install these files.

What Tech Specs are needed for iOS developement and other game developement?

I am looking to buy a new macbook pro most likely the retina because it has a much higher resolution and flash storage which will make it much faster than a regular macbook pro. I am going to use this computer for programming including iOS developement and web design. I will also be using higher end applications like cinema 4d, unity 3d, and the adobe products.
I am in school so i will also be using this for simple school functions.
I was wondering should i get the 16gb model or is 8 enough?
And should i get more internal storage than 256 gb and just use the Apple Time Capsule for a wireless external hard drive or get more storage on the macbook?

Since the RAM on the Retina model can't be upgraded by the user, I would go with the full 16GB.
I would also look at the 512GB flash storage option - you don't want to lug around an external drive.
