NetWeaver Developer Studio Preference Setting

Hi,
I am having a SAP NWDS SP11 and I started to develop some web dynpro codes. After development, i found that from Windows->Preferences, there are no settings items for me to select to set. This is strange!!!
Anybody encountered this before.

Yes, I went to my Developement Configuration Perspective and from the Open Activities, I cannot see any changes or lists. When I click on the Activation View and transport View tab, there is no listing too. 3 errors are as shown at the DTR Console window:
When click on the tab : Open Activities, error :
"There is no configuration found for com.tssap.dtr.client.eclipse.ui.treeBrowser.OpenActivity view. Empty TreeInput provider will be used."
When click on the tab : Activiation View, error :
"There is no configuration found for com.sap.ide.eclipse.cbs.activation.ui.views.InactiveActivityView view. Empty TreeInput provider will be used."
When click on the tab : Transport View, error :
"There is no configuration found for com.sap.cms.organizerUI.ui.TransportView view. Empty TreeInput provider will be used."

Developer 10g - Security Setting do not allow Websites to user Active X

I Install Developer 10g (10.1.2.0.2) on Windows Vista 32 Bit
I make a Test Form and Run through IE 7, following error generate:
"Your Security Setting do not allow websites to user Active X controls installed on your computer. This page may not display correctly"
What will be the solution ?
Can any one guide me in this regard

change the following browser setting:
Tool > Internet Options > Advanced > Security: Allow active content to run files on my computer.
Checking this box may resolve your issue but be weary that fi you use your pc for internet then it will also allow external Active X content to run on your pc too.

In the SQL Developer how to set Indentation in preferences?

I am using SQL developer version 1.5.1 BuildMain 5440. In the Tools --> Preferences--> Database --> SQL Formatter --> Alignment and Indentations, I see Indentation on the right panel which shows drop down and spaces, and there is a check box option "Use tabulator". It is disabled for me. How do I make that enable? I want to use this in my formatting.

You need to disable the first option "Right-Align Master Keywords"..

I m a new learner of Oracle - SQL. My doubt is can i have an test environment( a dummy) connection in SQL developer for my practice purpose in my local laptop.
Do i need to install Oracle to work with SQL developer in my system.Wat all I should have to fulfill the abve?
Pls guide from the basic

SQL Developer is a 'client' tool. It is pretty much worthless without a database to connect to. You can't execute SQL statements without a database. The database can be either on your local machine (where you have installed SQL Dev) or on a remote machine. To get a database on your own machine, you will need to download Oracle Database, install it, and create a database. Be sure to read the installation guide for installation prereqs, including certified operating systems.

I would like to UNCHECK "Open new windows in a new tab instead" vlia a win 7 registery setting. Is it possibe?

we are running Firefox 3.6.18 on Windows 7 sp1 OS. I need to change about 500 pc's /update an image. Do not want to re-image for this problem (no time). Is there a "reg entry" that I can push out to the pc's to reverse the default "Open new windows in a new tab instead"

Maybe you can do that via a mozilla.cfg file.

Problems for NW Developer Workplace installation - setting up MS SQL

Hi all SDNians,
I'm installing the NW2004S Dev Workplace (SAPinst) on my laptop and I'm experience some problems. Due to my work, I need to install the Dev Workplace option with MS SQL server (not MaxDB).
Prior to the installation, I've already setup my JDK, JCE and installed MS SQL via the MS SQL SERVER 2000 (51031281) via SQL4SAP.VBS.
During the setup, I was prompted to select a SQL server (during step 2 I think). The thing is I have not setup any SQL servers. I've checked the SQL server programs (eg. client network utility, Configure SQL XML in IIS, Entp Manager) but couldn't find anywhere to create or link to a SQL server and run it.
Am I suppose to run the SQL server locally(which I have not idea how to) or link it to the server?(which infrastructure is not completely setup) Or am I missing any step?
Would appreciate some help/advise....A true newbie here and it's my first time doing such installation, pls bear with me.

Using the TestStand Database Logging feature, you can log data to database systems, and allow NWA Quality Analyst to access these DBs to perfom calculations and/or create graphs.

Why doesn't Forms Development have a set of dropdowns like this screen?

I'm not quite sure what you are asking for with the subject of this post. What type of dropdows are you looking for that you don't get with FormsCentral dropdowns?
There is no way to add vertical lines beside doing it via an image element... same goes for boxes, you could use an image. Although I'm assuming that you want to have form elements inside a box which we don't support.

CHARM Actions- set to in development

Dear All,
In CHARM SDHF transaction(UC) is in created status.
Now when I click on actions it should show me only 'Set to In Development' & 'Withdraw correction', but it shows other actions like 'logon to system', 'Confirm correction', 'complete correction' & 'Go to task plan', Which are required at later stage.
How can I hide these unusable actions at this scenario, because developer will do 'set to in Developement' first, then remaining things will come.

Hi,
you have to define in which status an action can be executed.
Start transaction SPPFCADM, mark CRM_ORDER and click button "Condition Configuration".
There you have to select your action profile and check the values in tab "Schedule Condition" for every action.
It there is no entry, the action will be shown in every status.
You can define your own condition using container value "&CRM Service Process.User Status&".

How to set Compatibility Mode for a single site in ie10

I am having problem with getting ie10 to set ie9 compatibility for a single site (sharepoint.contoso.com).
When I add this website in Compatibility View Settings (Alt > Tools > Compatibility View Settings > 'Add this Website') it adds the domain 'contoso.com' and not the individual website (sharepoint.contoso.com).
This cause other sites (www.contoso.com) to be configured to use compatibility mode. Because this is a separate site (different web server) to the site sharepoint.contoso.com (sharepoint 2010 server) we need different compatibility settings.
Using a different example to explain the issue -
Microsoft has three websites that are different websites created by different developers written in different programming languages and they only work with certain browsers.
microsoft.com (Website1 created by Developer1) - compatible with ie8/ie9/ie10
msdn.microsoft.com (Website2 created by Developer2) - compatible with ie8/ie9
technet.microsoft.com (Website3 website created by Developer3) - compatible only with ie10
The only thing the three website share is the URL contains 'microsoft.com'.
Marking 'msdn.microsoft.com' to run in compatibility mode affects the other 2 websites - mainly technet.microsoft.com which will not work now since it only runs in pure ie10 mode.
Should you be able to add an individual site to the compatibility list instead of all sites that have .microsoft.com in the URL? Am I missing a simple setting in the ie10?
As a workaround I am using the F12 Developer Tools to set the Browser Mode which temporary sets the compatibility mode. However this is not a nice solution to the end users at our organisation.

Oh! I wrote it wrong: I should have said: This is not solved for NON-AD environments. No demands what so ever to use Window 7/8 professional in a small corporation or on a big corporation with Island of smaller departments for example offshore.
The problem is that the thread is not "Answered" by the OP, its is marked answered by a moderator (and same moderator that did the answer) so no way of telling if the OP is satisfied.
But you are right in the fact that I am almost kidnapping the thread. But a complete answer would benefit all in this case I would presume.
