Developer Access to MiniSAP

Hi,
After I extend my MINISAP license key for the first time, not able to add the developer access to bcuser.
I used the key 29671482393151224771 which is there in the minisap licensing procedure page.
Getting Invalid Key error. Any idea?
Saw various post on the forum but none helped me.

I tried 00000000000000000000 and that is also NOT working. My trial version is now licensed for 90 days on a Windows XP professional laptop. I do not know if I had the problem before I renewed the INITIAL 4-weeks licence to the 90-day license.
Everything else works fine. I can create and run various programs using the trial version. However when I attempted to modify an implementation method in the ABAP class - BCALV_TREE_EVENT_RECEIVER, I am asked for an Access Key.
Is anybody from SAP looking into this? I believe it is clear that there is a problem with Access Key for a number of us. That the default 29671482393151224771 is NOT working for everybody.
Any help in solving this Access Key issue is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know how to get a Developer Key for MiniSAP?
I had successfully installed MiniSAP and have been coding ABAP for a month...now I had to update the License for MiniSAP and since I have successfully installed the new license (good for 90 days), now when I enter SE38 to modify or create my code it asks for a Developer's Key (also called a License Key).
If I go to OSS with my S-User that doesn't work either, as DEMOSYSTEM is not a registered system to ask for a key.
I'm stumped....any guidance would be deeply appreciated, as at the moment...no coding possible.
(I could reinstall MiniSAP, but then I lose all my code) eh?

P.S. I do see the key # in the table DEVACCESS, but when I type in that key for BCUSER...well...nothing....doesn't accept that key.

Then I reported my administrator, but unfortunately he also got the same Authorization Error!!
I don't know, the correct way for getting the access key.

Invalid Developer Access key while editing FM Exit_SAPLRRS0_001

I want to create a new user exit variable for reporting. I created a proj in CMOD and included the component RSR00001 which
includes the FM - Exit_SAPLRRS0_001. I try editing the function module, its asking me to enter the Developer Access key. System is not accepting the key which I pass even though there is a proper entry against my id in the table DEVACCESS.

When you reach the exit EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001, dont try to go in edit mode into it. There would be a Include in it. Double click on this include.
INCLUDE ZXRS**.
You would reach this include. Now, go in change mode of this include. It would allow you to go in change mode with your access key.
If there is no such include inside this function module, then follow the below steps to create a new include.
What you are trying to do is changing the standard function module EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001. If you want to change any standard objects, you will need specific access keys for these objects based on their Object Directory Entry from your BASIS guys.
e.g. for EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 you can find this info from Menu bar-> Goto -> Object Directory Entry. If your provide this info to BASIS, they would give you unique access key which would work only on this function exit. Then you can change this function exit.

I received the access from ES workplace for ECC . But I dont have any authorization create any object , the role S_DEVELOP is not assigned to me ,
How to get developer access for the ES Workplace systems ( unable to creat new object ) ?
is it like that P users dont have developer access in all systems ?
How to get assign my user ID with the required roles ?

it requires a userid and password to get authorization for developping object.
i already had these information but i don't know where should i use it to get authorization.
can anyone who already have passed through this problem can guide?

Developer access key

Hi there!
I understand that one needs to be registered as a developer in the system before changing/creating any object.
However, system prompted me for developer access key when I tried changing some custom program in SE38 and system allowed me to change SAP script form without prompting anything about developer access key.
Any information on why system never prompted for developer access key when changing SAP script form in SE71?

Developer access key question

Hello,
I am trying to create some domains per a OSS note. the domains are FILE_APPL and FL_EXTN. when I create the first domain, the system prompted me for the developer access key. The BASIS person sent me the key and I entered and created the first domain. I am trying to create the second domain and again it asked me for the developer access key. I typed the same number and I am getting a "incorrect entry" box. when I clicked on the information button, it states that I should only have to enter this key once.
why does the invalid entry box appear when I am entering the same key?
why do I have to enter the key again?
am I doing something wrong in the process?

Basically, if you are referring to a developer key, you only have to enter this once, but if you are referring to an object registration key, then these are specific to each object, which would be the reason why the key doesn't work for the second object. It appears that the first is ok, so you now need a second object registration key for the second domain, have your basis person register this object and get the other key.
Read the dialog carefully, it probably says about registering the object and not entering the developer key.

By logging on through the OSS login have created developer key. But how to register it with the R/3??? Which is the T-code and what are the steps involved???

Hi Rahul,
First i requested you to get in touch with ABAP moulde lead and get confirmation
mail from customer, then only we can create Developer Access key.
Procedure explains how to obtain a developer key:
a) Log into OSS.
b) Click on the Registration button and then click the Register Developer button.
c) Select appropriate customer installation.
d) Enter the user ID in the user box,.
e) Click on the Register button.
f) Copy the KEY (by highlighting and using ctrl/c for copy and ctrl/v for paste) and email the user
of his key. The ctrl/c, ctrl/v ensures that the complete key is copied since it is a very long
number.
g) Click the Cancel button when done or click the Register button to register another developer.
h) Click the green '¬ ' to exit.

The user is registered as a developer for a certain system at SAP. I do not know if there is a way for deregistering a user. If the user has a developer role AUTHORIZATION OBJECT, he can enter the key received from SAP. Once entered, it is stored in DEVACCESS.
Just remove the DEVELOPMENT AUTHORIZATION OBJECT from the user and the key is useless because it can not be entered again..

"Refresh" of development Access Enforcer system

Greetings!
Our Access Enforcer system is now in production. Our development system is quite a mess, with old requests and configuration. We would like to make the dev system look more like the production and test systems and get rid of all of the old requests, initiators, stages, etc. Does anyone know how to clean up AE so we can start over with a clean slate? We are on 5.2 with SP3, running on an AIX box with Netweaver only.

I am not sure on the reasons for system refresh. Look at the below points:
1. The RAR data c(Rules, Functions, Risks etc) an be downloaded and uploaded in the Development environment. Why you need the production user data in Development?
2. The SPM users are intended for production. Why you are planning to copy/simulate them in development?
3. The ERM and CUPs are workflows, where the systems and other settings have to be created manually. What is your intention in getting them to development?
As per my knowledge, no system refresh is performed for GRC systems? May be you need to educate the client on these things. Please look for the ideas from the other experts too before you go back to your client.

BW Quality box - BW developer access

Hi all,
I am working on my first onsite project. we have completed development and now want to move all objects to bw quality box. In my previous project, I had authorisation in quality to display everything, do data loads etc. I asked basis team to give me acess and they want to know what kind of access i need in bw quality.
can anyone help me with any role names that a bw developer should have in bw quality box (to do usual stuff like data loads, check transports ,and other work that usually we do in BW quality box as a bw developer)

Grant developer access to tables

I have created a db for one of my developers and i want to give him access to develop to one table in the dB. I created the table and have setup a sql server user for him. When i grant him select, update and insert on the server he can connect to
the sql server and see the DB but not the table i created for him. If i go to the server and login via Sql server mgmet studio I can't even see the DB. Waht rights have i missed here? thanks.

Don't mix up logins which have SQL Server wide permissions, with users which have permissions inside a database.
You should (and maybe you did) create a login for the developer, and then create a user for the developer that gives access to the appropriate database. Then you should grant the select, insert, update, and delete permission for the table to the user.
You can't see the database? Are you a member of the sysadmin fixed server role? If not, do you have permission to the database?
Or perhaps you created the table in another database?
Or perhaps you created the table with your default schema and he is looking for the table with his default schema which would be a different table?

OSS is not a tcode , check the site service.sap.com
consult your basis for that...
also check the table DEVACCESS for the access key by giving ur user id if there is one already created for u

NSP NW04s - Sneak Preview Developer Access Key -- NOT WORKING !!!!!!

I have installed the NW04S NSP ABAP system. Everything went fine with the installation. The key which is given in the installation document '29671482393151224771' is not working for developer BCUSER.
I see many other folks facing the same issue in the forum and I tried all the ways posted in the forum... creating Z and Y program Se38 and tried with SE80, but no luck.
I would highly appreciate if any one have a crack on this issue. Infact I reinstalled the system thinking there could be a flaw in my fisrt installation... but the result is same.

How to give a web developer access to WebServer folder only

Good moring!
Sorry about the noob question and if we're in the wrong area, but we just hired a web developer to create a database driven website as we currently serve static web pages and are accustomed to building/updating regular html pages that frustrate us because we waste a lot of time updating indvidual pages...
We've tried googling this topic without a clear understanding of how to get what needs to be done. Anywho, our question is actually two-fold and any help is truly, truly appreciated!
1. How do we set up a user account in the Workgroup Manager with privileges to read and write & have ftp access to the WebServer directory only and not admin the entire server box?
2. We're guessing the user needs access to other areas and apps on the server like mysql...what are the steps required to accomplish this as well?

Assuming that you've created the account for your web developer (web_developer for example), here's what you'd need to do:
1. If you use service ACLs, ensure that web_developer is either allowed to access FTP and Web services or that he/she is a member of a group that has access to those services. (Service ACLs are off by default.)
2. For the FTP server, you need to define a behavior. You can either share the FTP root and share points, users' home directories and share points or home directories only. I'd recommend FTP root and share points unless you have a reason not to do so. By default, your FTP root is stored in /Library/FTP Server, and symbolic links will be created there to point to share points that you've chosen to share via FTP.
3. For the Web service, you must define a site root. By default this is /Library/WebServer/Documents.
4. Assuming that you're using the default site root, here's what to do:
a. In Workgroup Manager, make /Library/WebServer/Documents a share point, enabling FTP Access in the Protocols tab.
b. Ensure that your other share points are not shared via FTP unless you want them to be.
c. Add an ACL entry for web_developer or a group that contains this account for the /Library/WebServer/Documents folder. The entry should allow read and write, with full inheritance. Ensure that the user www at least has read privileges to the site root.
