Developer key in com_product_upgrade Report

Hi Experts,
Is there any way to avoid Developer key entry while running COM_PRODUCT_UPGRADE Report during Post Upgrade as per LONGPOST.log details.
We dont want to provide Dev. key in Prod. so we are looking for some alternates.
Please suggest!

The report is one of the post upgrade activity and it cant be ignored.
What is the warning message you got ?
You can try to run after completing the upgrade also.

ABAP developer key help

Now a windows pops up in which I have to register an object, instead of registering a user (BCUSER) as explained in the PDF document. When I insert the developer key a message appears stating I inserted a wrong key.
Dont work other tips in forum.....
im install license key -ok,restart sap service and etc into doc.....

Just to enforce what Dirk said, All objects that you create in your sneak preview, must be in the customer name space, meaning that it begins with "Z" or "Y". Any object needs to be like this. So if you are creating a program in SE38 and you want to call it MYTESTPROGRAM, it really must be ZMYTESTPROGRAM. Otherwise you will get the message that you are getting about registering objects. Rememeber always use the customer name space, when creating dictionary objects, function modules, classes, and report programs.

Developing a Sales Forecasting Report

Hi BI Gurus,
I am an basically an ABAP consultant and recently moved into BI Team.
I have got an requirement of developing an Sales Forecating report in BI.
The Report will be based on Regions and Front end units we need to display estimated Sales value for that month and the Key Figures will be:
1. Month to Date Gross Sales (in SAP VBAK-NETWR).
2. Sales value of Orders which are Shipped & Not Invoiced
3. Sales value of Orders with Planned GI and Not Shipped.
4.Sales Value of Open Orders which have Promised Dates within this month.
Please help me to get these field values on my report. I checked a couple of Infoproviders: ZSD_002 & ZSD_019 but could not find them all.

That sounds like a custom requirement, and your ABAP development skillset will help you significantly. Most analyses of this sort involve 'snapshot' extraction programs in R/3 that are executed ever night and write to a Z table in R/3. Once the data is provided, THEN the BW magic takes place.
You'll need to learn how to use SBIW to develop a datasource from your Z Table.
You'll then need to replicate the datasource to your BW system, create an infosource, then create an appropriate data transformation process, create an info cube or DSO(depending on data volume and requirements), and then, and only then, can you think about creating a query (Not a 'report'... BW is not a 'Reporting Tool', it's an Analytic tool).
Now... there might be a similar infoprovider already in your BW system. Look around and ask around (sounds like you already have, but check again.) There also might be a bit of SAP Business Content that fits your needs, but probably not. Most companies have configured and customized their business processes rather extensively, and most SAP Business content doesn't fit the various exceptions and exits.
Of course, SAP has some excellent classes. BW310 comes to mind at this point.

Installing any of the MI demo applications (without a developer key)

Hey guys,
I want to install any of the MI 2.5 demo applications that are part of the MDK documentation. I tried to install the Inventory app, which works for the client, but the backend components (really living on the middleware system) are not there. It needs a table MDK_INVENTORY and some BAPI wrappers to access the table.
Since I am running a test license and I am not a registered developer, I cannot create the table with SE11, which is asking me for the Developer Key and the Object Access Key.
Is there any package, that I can install?
Or maybe for one of the other applications?

in Ashima's suggestion there are BAPI wrappers MEREP_CONTACT_GETLIST and MEREP_CONTACT_GETDETAIL and the docs say
"To fill these tables with demo data, you can use the reports MEREP_SAP_EXM002_DATA_GEN1 and MEREP_SAP_EXM002_DATA_GEN2."
I tried to execute the reports with Transaction SC38, but they do not work because the SyncBO SAP_EXM002 does not exist and of course
I cannot create it, since it is in the SAP name space.
I cannot find any MEREP* or MI* table that I could add data manually.
Using MEREP_COUNTRY_GETLIST in a SyncBO returns an error when I click the "mapping" button:
"Deafult value for parameter SPRAS has no effect at runtime."

I installed a 6.40 SR1 (which is SP09) and upgraded
- BASIS to SP20
- ABA to SP20
- PI_BASIS to SP10 (2004_1_640)
I did not upgrade BW, which still is SP09
Any ideas how to get a basic tutorial app installed?

Yes, i can see datatype and number of columns is same in both queries.
i have challanges to copy message but Error message seems to general. Error says (near to FROM) and I checked there are three FROM in query and all seems to be ok
Query is something like as below

Best way to develop a BI Publisher Report

Dear All,
which is the best way to develop a XML/BI publisher report?
1) Using a RDF for fetching data using data group
2) Using a Data Template
3) Writing PLSQL code
4) Using BI Publisher Enterprise
In R12 , all seeded reports are XML using PLSQL coding. Why oracle did not create RDF based XML reports? Are RDF s going to be obsolete??

Are you doing this in the webi report after you refresh it?
Or are you doing this in BEX?
I am able to get EITHER the text or key to display.
I get the text when i have the properties set to Text & Key and Medium length for the Text View.
Any other selection for text View, like std or long, result in seeing the key instead of the text.

Developer Key for MiniSAP

Gurus:
Does anyone know how to get a Developer Key for MiniSAP?
I had successfully installed MiniSAP and have been coding ABAP for a month...now I had to update the License for MiniSAP and since I have successfully installed the new license (good for 90 days), now when I enter SE38 to modify or create my code it asks for a Developer's Key (also called a License Key).
If I go to OSS with my S-User that doesn't work either, as DEMOSYSTEM is not a registered system to ask for a key.
I'm stumped....any guidance would be deeply appreciated, as at the moment...no coding possible.
(I could reinstall MiniSAP, but then I lose all my code) eh?

P.S. I do see the key # in the table DEVACCESS, but when I type in that key for BCUSER...well...nothing....doesn't accept that key.

Problem in developing a Portal Activity Report iView

I have developed a Portal Activity Report iView and assigned some iviews to the "Specify Report Content" option! I am supposed to get the user information but instead, I see the message "No content available for the specified period".
Am I missing anything?
Can someone help me out in this regard!!!

Keep in mind that the Portal Activity Reporting functionality only collects user information from hits to pages that have the Monitor Users property set to true. You can monitor the number of hits to an iView, but cannot collect user information about those hits. If you need this kind of information for an iView, I would recommend adding the iView to a page and then collecting the activity reporting information you need from the page hits.

Removal of Developer Key entry from DEVACCESS Table.

On table DEVACCESS, in QTY/DEV/Prod there is one person with Developer Key listed that I would like to remove, User is no more working and now we want to delete the entry from this table which has the User name followed by the Developer key assigned.
Could any one guide me in deleting the Developer Key access from the DEVACCESS table.

Another alternative is to use SE11 to create a maintenance view (ex: ZV_DEVACCESS). Secure the maintenance view with a custom authorization group. With the maintenance view you have the ability to use SM30 to maintain the DEVACCESS data.
That keeps the DEVACCESS table from changing and thus no need to register the change with SAP.
