Developer Studio:Exception:The message server did not respond within 60 sec

Folks,
I am getting this error in Developer Studio ( J2EE Engine Preference) , Can anyone please tell me what is the issue.
Exception: The message server did not respond within 60 sec. Please check if the message server is running and if the socket connection has been established
Thanks,
Manish

If the system information page is showing 3900, you should use 3900 in your studio settings.
39xx is the new default for 2004s. It was 36xx with 2004. And xx is the instance number.
Regards,
Christophe

    Hi,
I think the connection data is somehow not right.
What is your message server host and port  being configured?
I think the default message server port is 3601

  • J2ee connection error, "The Message Server did not respond within 60 sec"

    Hi,
I am facing the error "The Message Server did not respond within 60 sec. Please check if the message server is running.." when connecting to J2ee through NWDS.
I am able to reach the index page via http://<ip address>:53500/index.html but yet unable to reach through NWDS.
I have tried various combinations of host and port names like:
    Message Server Host : <ip address>, <host name>
    Message Server Port : 3636, 3936
    but still no luck.
I've also cross checked the value of message server port by navigating to http://<IP address>:53500/monitoring/SystemInfo too, it is 3636.
    The telnet test (telnet <ip address> <port Number>) draws a blank window.
I know this problem has been posted again and again, but then I am unable to understand what is the solution to this.
Can someone please help me in resolving this issue?
Note: [link 1|Unable to Connect to the J2EE Server from Netweaver Developer Studio; & [link 2|Developer Studio:Exception:The message server did not respond within 60 sec; are already checked.

    Hi Robin,
Although I still haven't received any info from my colleagues regarding the central instance..
Just a quick query, if we have NW04 we use 36** and if it is NW04S then we use 39** , is this the only difference for message server port?
If that is the case, as I mentioned earlier, I have tried both, and one gave me N/A(3936) while the other gave me 'message server did not respond' error(3636).
I have the message server host name & port , Enqueue Server Host name & Port and SDM PID and Port details with me..
Can this be anyway useful in establishing a connection?
    Waiting for your inputs...
    Best Regards,
    Vinay

  • Exception:The messege server did not respond within 60 sec.

When I am deploying my application it is aborted and displaying the Error as
'Deployment exception : Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly !'
In Preferences >> SAP J2EE Engine I have specified a messege server host and its port.
When I go to the Perspective J2EE Engine there I can see an error i.e.
'Exception:The messege server did not respond within 60 sec. Please check if the messege server is running and if the socket connection is established'
    How to resolve this?

    Hi All,
I am using SUN ONE Webserver 6 on AIX with Oracle 8i. Every now and then I get this error
java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: A remote host did not respond within the timeout period.
I am not able to unterstand this. Some one please help...
    Thanks

Are you able to connect to the database server from the same machine where you are running SJS Web Server using JDBC?
Are the driver and the Database using compatible drivers?
Does it normally work? Is the error accompanied by other symptoms like application failure or unusually slow responses?

  • A remote server did not respond within timeout period

    HI
I have a opened in servlet which is not closed. My servlet uses it for various checks. When a request comes after long time, my servlet tries to make a database call and that time I am getting following error.
java.sql.SQLException:IO Exception A remote host did not respond within the timeout period.
    Please guide.
    Thanks in advance.

I am using the same connection again.
The db server is up and running and the query fetches hardly any data.
when i stop and restart the servlet, everything becomes normal.

  • The remote server did not respond to a connection attempt

I have two Exchange 2003 servers: Old and New. Emails from the new server can go out however, users on the new server cannot receive emails from the old or the internet.
I get the following error:'....remote server did not respond to a connection attempt....'
All emails are stuck in newserver.domain.com.
    KimaniBob

    Hi KimaniBob,
Since Exchange 2003 is a very old Exchange version, we have not supported for Exchange 2003. It is recommended to upgrade your Exchange server to Exchange 2010. Your understanding will be appreciated.

  • OS X Server / VPN /The L2TP-VPN server did not respond...HELP!

    I am very new to OS X Server and my goal is to setup DNS & VPN!  I would like to have this setup to be able to connect into my apple computer from work or friends house.  I am using an Apple Airport Extreme router and im also using the latest version OS X Mountain Lion with OS X Server installed.  I have started an account with dyndns website for user host name (using a [email protected] address). I assume this would be used as an alternate way of being able to connect without starting a personal website.  I also signed up for another site (no-ip) and I now have a different IP address (not sure if that was necessary). I then followed instructions on youtube (instructional videos by todd for OS X Server Mountain Lion) which seemed to be very easy to understand. But after setting up my VPN on the client side (network setting in system preferences), i tried to connect VPN (L2TP) and i receive this error message "The L2TP-VPN server did not respond. Try reconnecting. If the problem continues, verify your settings and contact your Administrator.". When I open Consol in the utilities folder, I am seeing part of the following message below;
racoon[117]: IKE Packet: transmit success. (Phase1 Retransmit).
racoon[117]: IKE Packet: receive failed. (malformed or unexpected cookie).
    pppd[490]: IPSec connection failed
Does anyone know what's happening or what I need to do to fix this?  Or can someone tell me the basic requirements to setting things up correctly?

Im using Comcast for my ISP and from the wall I have a Motorola Surfboard 6120 cable modem (not sure how to access my setting on the modem). So basically I have my 6120 cable modem connected to the Apple AirportExtreme router and is then wirelessly connected to my macbook pro.  im providing screen shots of my apple router settings, OS X Server settings and firewall (which is turned off) settings.  Any suggestion on how i should set things up or if you can tell me step by step would be greatly appreciated.

  • The enrollment server did not provision a valid identity certificate

I'm working on rolling my own MDM service, and I'm trying to combine the SCEP and MDM payloads as the MDM protocol document from Apple suggests. I created my own SCEP web service in C# .Net and I know that the device can get a valid certificate when I just send the SCEP payload. However when I also include an MDM payload that points to the SCEP payload's UUID via the IdentityCertificateUUID key, I get the following error, "The enrollment server did not provision a valid identity certificate." This configuration is the one that is sent after the user chooses to install the initial enrollment configuration (step 1 of phase 2 in this diagram).
The device doesn't appear to even make an attempt at connecting to my server, and thanks to server side logging I know that it never reaches my SCEP web service page. This seems to indicate that there's something wrong with the certificate I use to sign the payload. I've separately tried signing it with my SSL certificate (from a pre trusted root authority), my customer MDM push certificate (chained from our vendor cert), and my self-signed root certificate authority certificate (created via makecert.exe) that the SCEP service uses to issue new certificates (i.e. device identity certificates).
I've looked at the output from the iPCU (iPhone Configuration Utility) when I create a profile with both the MDM and SCEP payloads, and it isn't a valid profile (I've even tried copying it nearly wholesale). However when I install the profile via the iPCU the error doesn't come up and it begins the SCEP enrollment process without issue.
A side note - using a preexisting MDM vendor is not an option here.
Below is the profile I'm using:

I got in touch with Apple about this.
Apparently you want to send the combined MDM & SCEP payload in step 2 of phase 3 of the diagram I linked in my question, which is the profile that's sent after OTA enrollment.  According to Apple you need two separate certificates (which means two SCEP enrollments) - one for OTA enrollment, and one for MDM enrollment.

Do you have some idea why I get this error while starting the server?
    Thank you in advance!

First you can start witht he example server, after installation go to start menu --> example--> launch the examples. which will create a sample domain and brings up the server etc., If you want your own domain, using configuration wizard create a domain(follow the steps mentioned in edocs.bea.com) and bring up the server.

  • The email server did not recognize  your username/ password combinations

i recieved this alert:the email server did not recognize  your username/ password combinations. everytime when i sending a photo from iphoto? how do i solve it please?

    iPhoto preferences ==> accounts
Of IMHO better yet set Apple Mail as the e-mail client in the iPhoto preferences

  • The email server did not recognize my username

i try to mail picture   it says the email server did not recognize your username/password combination

In the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete the account and re-enter it
Of IMHO the better alternative is to set Apple Mail as the e-mail client in the iPhoto preferences and use it instead of iPhoto
