Developer toolbar does not appear with SHIFT-F2 in Fullscreen

I'm sure there's others out there who would like to be productive on small displays. Maybe you've figured out how to make the Developer Toolbar consistently appear as requested when SHIFT-F2 is pressed, and you'd like to share. :-)

i did not see a solution posted - I tired what I read. Going back to an old version may solve the problem but it is a stupid solution so I have yet to do that.
I am on version 4 and autofil this does not work :

Uninstall version 5, then Google "google toolbar version 4", follow the link to FileHippo.com, and download and install the last version 4. When you reinstall it, make sure you turn off the option to perform automatic updates.

I am unable to work on docs in adobe as the toolbar does not appear when I tap on the doc.

how do I get my adobe to work? I open the doc in adobe but cant work on the doc. the toolbar does not appear when I tap in the middle. All contact us help leads to nowhere. the e mails from support cant be replied to. is there another app that one couls use to download doc and actually be able to work on them?

Are these local or online documents? If online, in what browser?

On certain sites, some lines have the lower half missing. Changing the font or its size does not help. The error does not appear with Iceape or Chromium.

I looks that the whole line doesn't fit in the container, so the bottom part is cut off. The usual cause is that a font is used that takes more vertical space, so any increase or changes from the font in what the website prescribes can cause this issue. I've seen web pages that were even affected by changing the minimum font size from none to 1 (!). If you do not have the font installed that the website specifies then Firefox will fallback to another (default) font that may have different dimensions.

The Windows 7 pop up screen at the bottom toolbar does not function with Firefox 4. Instead there are now tabs on top. The Windows 7 feature was handy because one could easily see which pages you're working on. How can I fix this?

One of the Windows 7 features is the pop up box icon at the bottom toolbar which displays which pages are open when scrolling over it. After installing Firefox 4 this function does not work anymore, instead it was replaced by Firefox tabs above.

I believe you are talking about taskbar previews. To enable them you need to change a hidden preference.

JSPM window does not appear with X11 forwarding

Hello guys,
I am using the putty with ssh-2 and X11 forwarding enabled, but the window from the JSPM does't appear or is damaged.
Is it not possible to use the JSPM with X11 forwarding? Do you have any other suggestions, like real X?

I tried to access the Mixer from both the drop down menu below the right side panel and top of the interface on 8.0. Then I loaded 9.0. Same test same result first time around.
Then I read your note and tried both places again and the top of the interface worked in 9.0! Now both locations work in both versions. Weird.

Star Rating bar does not appear with images imported from file

Using Elements 11, cannot get the Star Rating bar to appear under images imported from file, although the intro to the program shows this as happening automatically.
Hope this goes through, as I have also created an account, but the question does not seem to be get a post.

Have you enabled Organizer to show details? You can enable show details by checking View > Detail is not already checked

Bookmarks Toolbar does not appear in "Show All Bookmarks"

I keep all my bookmarks in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder. All are intact and functional. They appear to back up properly (i.e., viewing a newly-created json file with MS Notepad, I find nothing to suggest that anything is missing). BUT, I can't actually view/organize these (or any other) bookmarks in the Library. After clicking "Show All Bookmarks," the main Library pane that opens is empty. In the navigation pane at the left, there is an entry "+ All Bookmarks," suggesting there's an expandable tree there. Clicking on the "+" has no effect; no expanded tree in the Nav pane, no bookmarks in the main pane. In short, I have no way to organize my existing bookmarks, even though they are intact and functional.

I tried your SafeMode suggestion. There was no change in the performance of the Bookmark Library; it still opens blank and the "+ All Bookmarks" will not expand.
I skimmed through a few hundred other questions and answers and found a handful of others with what appears to be a similar problem. I'm currently looking at this:

I tried the backup/restore solution. I creating a new backup, verifying that it was current by adding a new bookmark just before backing up, and then checking the json file to be sure it was there. No problem. I did a restore: all bookmarks look like they're still OK, but there was no change in the performance of the Library window.
I'll try CHKDSK next, before I attempt a full rebuild of places.sqlite.

Toolbar does not appear except for little arrows for drop down

Premier Elements 8 running on Windows 7 - on the top of the page the organizer icon appear (small box containing smaller boxes) and then there's a blank space for few inches, them a small right arrow with a dropdown icon. When i click the arrow there's drop down with what appears to be all the standard options (file, edit, etc)
how do i get the icon buttons to appear accross the toolbar??

Perfect - the fix for windows 7 is to select "use system fonts" under the general preferences tab and then restart the program!

I had my iphone 3gs unlocked so i could use it in Oz, however although i can phone works ok, i cant get internet, but i the option of Cellular Data Network does not appear with the new sim? Can anyone help pls?

Hi Just wondered if anyone can help with the above question? I had O2 phone unlocked and bought a local sim card, but although the calls are fine i have no option for internet etc. I have done searches and got the info details from the sim provider to activate, but instructions say i go to : Settings; General; Network and then Celluar Data Network, but I dont get that option ? When i put back my O2 sim card, the option reappears?
Can anyone help me please? Off to Australia again soon and really could do with it working properly this time.

Was it from Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, Virgin or Mayasim?
I have a 4 S running iOS 5.01 is there an option in Settings - Network - Carrier? As this should be set to the supplier of the sim card. In my Settings - Network there is no option for Celluar Data Network.
What version of the iOS are you using?
Some prepaid sim cards may not have a lot of data, so I suggest searching the companies websites for the best deals before you come here. Telstra usually have good plans. If you take your phone to the shop you purchased the sim card from they will usually set it up for you.
Telstra runs on a different frequency to others and offers the best coverage in Australia.
Just for the record I am not an employee of any mobile company.

Pkcs#11 certificate does not appear with Tomcat / IIS ok

I am trying to use SmartCard client authentication (pkcs#11, JDK 1.5.0_3, SafeSign for Starcos 1.0.9, SCR531 card controller, Tomcat 5.5.12 with clientAuth=true).
When I access the protected site, the browser plugin (which is installed by SafeSign) shows a window that allows to choose one of the certificates that are installed.
The problem is that the SmartCard (correctly inserted in the controller) certificate is not showed at this window.
All JSSE (java.security file entries and so on) and JVM configurations (-Dsecurity.manager, -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=NONE, -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=pkcs11, -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreProvider=SunPKCS11-StarCOS) are in place (in fact, the command "keytool ... -list" works just fine).
P.S.: the certificate shows ok on IIS 5.1/6.0 configured to ask for client authentication.

If you are sure it is not a client side problem, as your statement about deployment on IIS suggests, do some debugging on the client side and compare the trust store and supported Ciphersuites from successful and failed deployments.
Maybe your configuration on the servers (resp. the default conf of servers) is different in a sort that the key on the card will not meet the requirements proposed by the server (e.g. trusted set ).

AIrplay icon does not appear with Apple TV and MacBook Air on the same Wi-Fi

Hi, I've just purchased a Macbook Air and have been trying to get Air Play to function with my Apple TV (1080p HD) on the same Wi-Fi net work (at home).
Althought both systems are up todate in software, share the same network and switched on, there is no Air Play icon availlable to share the screen on the Apple TV.
Has anyone experieinced a similar porblem and know how to initiat a connection?

I am now using Air Parrot on a trial basis and it seems to work fine. One flaw that I haven't figured out yet is that it doesn't fill the entire TV screen. I still think Mac should include a simple AP like Air Parrot in its latest OSX system for older Macs (and mine is not that old - 2010).
Do you know why I cannot properly sync my Iphone to my MacBook ever since I upgraded to Mountain Lion? Certain events on my MacBook Calendar do not show up on my IPhone after syncing.
I do not use ICloud. I just plug my IPhone in to the MacBook as I've always done. If I made changes/additions to the Iphone in contacts or calendar, they show up on the MacBook. Same thing vice versa. If i make changes/additions to contacts or calendar on the MacBook, they show up on the IPhone. In two words, "they synced!".
This no longer seems to happen. Do you know why?

I cannot find how to access the Firefox toolbar on my Windows 7 desktop. There is no Firefox 'Button' that I see.

Firefox either displays the Firefox Button, which in turn produces a drop down menu, or it displays the older menu toolbar.
On windows pressing or holding the Alt key should temporarily display the menu bar,, even if the Firefox button is displayed.

Remove alcoholsoft toolbar. does not appear in list of plug-ins

Following recommended procedure did not work.
1. opened firefox
2. clicked on tools
3. clicked on add ons
4.clicked on plug-ins
Alcohol soft was not listed, so I could not highlight and disable

I stumbled on the solution, which is to Uninstall Freedowloads.net. It was very confusing because I was looking for something named Alcoholxx
If I had trusted the Alcohol site, it lists this Uninstall procedure.

I still use Aperture 2.1.4. I need to export an image file with a CMYK profile. Whereas a generic CMYK profile is listed in ColorSync Utility, it does not appear on the list of profiles in the edit portion of the export preset dialogue. Help?

These profiles do not respond to clicking and dragging. Since they are all in one place, more or less, I'm reluctant to make further attempts to relocate them. Accessing the CMYK profile is the first difficult experience I've encountered with this arrangement. I have never needed the CMYK profile until recently, and that need has now past. However, it remains a mystery to me as to why it does not appear with all the others on the menu of export choices in Aperture 2, or on the menu of profile assignment choices in the Preview application (where again all the other profiles are listed as choices). I'm beginning to think my current set up will permit me to view an image that was created in CMYK space, but does not easily assign, or convert to that space. I don't face these restrictions with all the others, so it remains a curious circumstance for me. I anticipate upgrading my computer and software in the near future which might alleviate this issue altogether. Again, many thanks for your attention to this matter. The reach of this community is astounding.
