Developer Toolbox SendMail issue

Hi all
I need to show the name of a chosen option that is from a
dynamically generated dropdown in an input form.
These input details are emailed.
All this works but I get the integer value of the foreign key
not the name
I understand the I need to set a new recordset filtered by
the posted value from the form but for the life of me I cannot get
the name from the foreign keyed table to show in the received
email???
Can someone explain how to do this please as its driving me
potty!

Is the form posting back to the server or is the submit
button set to send the e-mail? If your posting back to the server,
you can making a simple page where the body content is what you
want in the e-mail.
That should make it easier to debug. Once you have the page
generating the text you want, if should be easy to get the e-mail
to use the same text.

Developer Toolbox Vista Update

Is there a planned update to the Developer Toolbox for Vista.
Initially the Toolbox worked fine, but since recent Vista updates,
the Toolbox keeps causing Dreamweaver to crash.

From what I am reading is that ADDT has been discontinued and no help is available. There are 2 issues that make Dreamweaver crash and 1 has to do with Vista upgrades and the 2nd one is with servers upgrading to PHP 5.3. If that has happened to you then you will have to make code changes to your web pages the old fashion way with out ADDT.
I wish the Adobe rep would contact me now and ask me if I will ever purchase another adobe product!!!! &*#$%@$%#$

Secure Deleting with Developer Toolbox

Hello,
I have used developer toolbox (asp) in some parts of my
projects. There is not any problems with inserting, but for
updating and deleting I am a little worried because it doesn't
check if that record is users' or not. For example we have a table;
msgID, userID, title, content
I want to check if the record is the user's record who tries
to delete or update ( If userID=Session(kt_login_id)). I can add a
recordset and if it's empty, it will redirect to the main page, but
I want to fix it with developer toolbox because i will need it in
another sections also.

It's a permissions issue. In order to insert a record into
the database,
you have to grant write privileges to the database .. check
the Cold Fusion
Administrator.

Sendmail issue on Solaris 10 system...

I have two systems running Solaris 10 that are having sendmail issues. If mail messages like the one below gets bounced back or if someone replies to it, the message will go to [email protected], and that should not happen. I believe I configured these systems the same way as the others and they seem to be fine. I have reconfigured the sendmail on the problems systems and I am still seeing messages going to [email protected] Below is what our reports should be sending to us and below that is what we should not be sending. How do I fix this problem? Can someone help, please. Thanks.

So far it is happening for root. What do you suggest I do to fix it?
Below is an example of what I have been seeing. If you look at "To", you will see where the problem is..."relay" should not be there. The host name should not be there either as the masquerading configuration is set up. Something is causing "relay" to appear and I cant seem to find what it is.

Sorry "WollombiWombat," I want to inform you that soon after posting the message I was able to download “ADDT,” though, I have not yet fully tested this software but I have all confidence that it will do the job/work I got it for. I do not like the so-called “PyroCMS” according to you. I do not think your “PyroCMS” is for me. I have checked it out and came to realization that it will not work at all for me.
If any one need to find out how I was able to download this software from Adobe.com contact me and I will help you. It may state that it is only for the Dreamweaver CS3 update never mind that it also works for Dreamweaver CS4.

Make sure you are using the right java card library version (JavaCard and OpenCard version).
Most cards only support jc2.1.2 - in opposite of the emulator which was designed for jc2.2.1.

XMLExport - Developer Toolbox Problem/Question?

I am using the XMLExport function of developer toolbox but have a problem which I hope someone can help with.
I need to retrieve data from 2 different tables for the XMLExport page that have no relating fields to use in my Spry XML Data Set, although i can add each table and create the Export function when I view the XML it is only showing data from the first table Export function. I had thought of creating 1 sql query to pull the database from both tables but I am at a loss with that as well.
Could someone answer why the XMLExport only sees 1 of the tables, or explain how to use 2 tables, I only want the first record from each of the tables without using any relationship.
I am using .asp and CS3

I would not use ADDT XML export use THIS - Converting Database queries to XML (scroll to the bottom of the linked page for ASP example) it's easier to customize (two DB tables in one xml file) you can embed CDATA.
Granted this may all be possible through ADDT XML export I just find the linked reference easier to use. I used ADDT XMLExport in the past but went on to use the linked reference later on when I needed a way to embed CDATA into my dynamic XML file for spry.

Email server settings (POP and SMTP)
AT&T email server settings are needed if you intend to use an email program (e.g. Outlook) with your AT&T email accounts. The current settings are displayed in the table below. If you only use AT&T Webmail to access your AT&T email accounts, these settings are not needed and you can access your mail by logging in at https://login.yahoo.com/.
If you signed up for a free att.net email account after 6/12/11, you will not be able to use an email program (e.g., Outlook) with your AT&T email account.
Note: AT&T's POP/SMTP settings have recently changed to inbound.att.net and outbound.att.net. However, if you are using the old settings, they will continue to work.

Developer toolbox, Editable drop down encoding problem

I'm using DW CS3 with Developer toolbox, PHP MySql.
Problem is that Editable drop down show national characters
wrongly.
actually its inserts data in to database with wrong encoding.
I use encoding "charset=utf-8", all other forms working fine.
Only Editable drop down show [squares] instead Ä Ö
Ü ...
How i can do that Editable drop down will inserts data in
utf-8 encoding?
(like other forms and fields in my page)

Updated to LR 5.4, images now importing extremely slow. After importing and rendering images are still very slow to go through and develop. No issues in LR 5.3 which was very fast.

Canon,Nikon, Leica and Fuji files all rendering slow. iMac 2.9 ghz 16gb RAM OSX 10.8.5. Catalogs and images are kept on external drives. Drives running fine. Really need a fix on this since I'm norally imported and processing at least 4,000 images per LR Catalog. Is there way to revert back to 5.3? I can't use 5.4 is its current state. Thanks.

Download LR 5.3 and install it
By the way, lots of people have this complaint about LR 5.4, and the advice I give is to use LR 5.3 unless you need one of the new camera models supported by LR 5.4

Developer toolbox and CS5.5

I would like to upgrade from Adobe CS4 to 5.5. But I do have one concern. I am used to work with the Developer Toolbox and I am afraid it won't work anymore with CS5.5? Is there a possiblity to use it in CS5.5 or is there something similar in CS5.5? What is the solutione?

But their extention is less less less less superior than ADDT...

Developer Toolbox - Integrate (ASP) CAPTCHA

Hi there,
I would like to know how to integrate (ASP) CAPTCHA into
forms created using the developer toolbox. I use webwiz CAPTCHA and
this works well, but the processing page must be different from the
form page. The toolbox generated forms look pretty complicated and
I would like to know if anyone has successfully done this - or
knows how to go about achieving this.

I will give an example for a forgot password page..
1. Insert these strings at the top of your forgot password
page

2. Add captcha to your form as usual.
3. Insert a new hidden field to your form as below

Im writing an application VB + SQL 05 backend, im using the
developer toolbox to get a lot of the dynamic stuff out of the way,
but my client wants the textbox that matches User_ID, to have a
random 6 digit / letter combination, 3 numbers + 3 capatial
letters, i was hoping to have this automaticaly done, so when my
client goes to add a new user, all the fields are there but the
User ID field already has data there ready to be submitted
