Development app button problem

Hi I'm hoping somebody might be able to help me with a little problem I'm encountering.
Basically I'm trying to update my app (which is already available for download from itunes). When I test the app using Adobe Viewer everything works perfectly as expected. But when I download the development app to test that before I submit to app store, I start getting problems.
The problem is the buttons I've created to jump between articles no longer work.
Is this a common problem? I can't seem to figure out why the work in Adobe Viewer but then don't work when I test the development app.
If anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated!

Problem installing the .ipa development app

I'm trying to install the development app to test it before submiting to apple, but everytime I try to sync it from iTunes i gets an error saying that the installation has failed.
Also, testing the app run on iPhone, but the folios aren't displaying even though the product IDs are right.
My viewer builder version is the last: 2.03 and I've tried building Single-Issue, Multi-Issue for iPad/iPhone and Multi-Issue for iPad, both versions 20 and 19, and all failed.
Can someone help me out with this problem?

Yeah, my UDID is corret, the problem seems to occur only on my iPad, into other iPhones and iPads it is working fine.
It is an iPad 1, with iOS 5.1.1.

How do i download apple developer apps, specifically xcode

I am trying to download a software developer's application called xcode (version 5) to a PC so that I can run it using OS X in a virtual machine (Oracle Virtual Box should work) and learn how to develop apps for iphones.   This is a free apple application. The problem I am having is that I cannot find a download link or button.   Yes, I have an apple id and I also am registered as an apple developer. I have tried using firefox 26.0 and IE 9. The OS on the PC from where I am attempting to download is windows vista basic 32 bit.
First, I went to http://store.apple.com/us and typed xcode in the search bar at the upper right of the screen. I did not see a link for logging in anywhere.
That search took me here: https://developer.apple.com/technologies/ and I see "download xcode" in the left panel.
I click it and it takes me here:   https://developer.apple.com/xcode/    It says "Download Xcode 5 for free."   Great, that's what I want. What do I click on to do it?   I see no dowload link so I clicked on the Downloading and Installation FAQs link and it took me here:   https://developer.apple.com/support/xcode/
Now I see "The latest version of Xcode is available as a free download from the Mac App Store. " ok lets click there ... and guess what? I'm back to square one again!!!     https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/xcode/id497799835?ls=1&mt=12
I also tried using itunes.   That only showed xcode BOOKS!
Can't somebody please explain to me the thought process in using the apple website correctly?   This seems to be the most convoluted and user-unfriendly site I've ever been on.   Full to the brim with marketing and promos but very little to guide the user.   I have an apple id and I did register as a member of the iOS Developer Program. I am a software engineer with 15+ years experience... not a rookie to download and use software! What am I missing here?

I found the answer which someone posted for an earlier version of xcode. Apparently, going to the "app store" per the instructions, will not work.
Instead, use the link below to the developer downloads page, click on the little white right arrow next to the app and it will expand. The download link (not obvious) is a very small blue link over to the right.   Tricky, apple, tricky.

Did you try reinstalling the app and contacting the developer (there should be a contact link on the app's description page in the store) ? If you don't get a reply from the developer then you could try
'report a problem' link from the purchase history on your computer's iTunes instead of on your iPad : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

The following also might help in that situation: When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
*right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
*Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

Why is it that when I try to download VegasTowers the "Install App" button disappears?

With every other app I click the "free" or "£0.69" button, and it changes to the "install app" and ten the app proceeds to download. However, with VegasTowers, after clicking the "free" button the "install app" button half disappears and it doesn't download the app at all. I'm not if it's just my account as this happened when I tried to download the app on my brother's iPod 4 also. I have an iPhone 4. If anyone has had this problem with this app or any other apps and knows a fix I'd be very grateful, thanks :)

Well, I want to be an iOS developer. I'm a beginner. I just want to know if I could make a living just by developing apps and games for iPhones and iPads?? In about next 5 years, I'll be able to submit my first game. I have my own problems. But can I make a living??

Some devs do quite well, others find it barely worth the effort. Anything is possible, but as noted, it all depends on you.

Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here.
If you have a problem with an app that the developer can't/won't help you with then you will need to contact iTunes Support, either as described on the page that you posted from, or via the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem

Some files in HTMLResources not loading in single edition developer app

Good day again.
I have created a single edition app and it works perfectly when tested in Content Viewer. The moment I install the Developer .ipa the PDF files I loaded in the HTMLResources.zip folder does not load.
Any ideas what I did wrong?

The Single Edition app I build works fine on both iOS7 and 8 when viewed in the Content Viewer, but as soon as I download the Developer App the PDF files I embedded in the HTMLResources.zip file does not load?

Developing apps in Xcode?

I have recently started developing apps in Xcode, now my problem arises when I want to develop the same app for android or windows. Does this mean I have to learn some new programming language or a software? If I have to, how different is it from Xcode? And also if its possible to develop from an OS X system.

First Xcode is the IDE not the language. The language for IOS and OS X development (a t least up to now) is Objective-C. (Swift, Apple's new language will eventually replace Objective-C for a most app development).
As for cross platform development I have head of some 3rd party web based sites that claim the ability to develop for IOS and Android but I have not personally tried any so can't say how well or if they work. I can see the underlying logic, the model, being cross platform but when it comes to things like the GUI its hard to imagine given the differences between IOS and Andriod.
One thing is no matter how you develop your code you will have to have Xcode on a Mac in order to submit the app to Apple and the App Store, there is no way around that.

Developer app don't work

I have this problem:
The developer app for test refuse to install in the 3 devices configured for testing. All certificates and devices ID are setup properly (this is the 32th monthly issue and I have a long experience), to be sure I also generated again the development mobile provision but the problem are still there.
I use DPS App Builder 2.7.1 on OS X 10.8.4
Folio v 27
set iPad+iPhone app
version is 3.2.2.43.86923
iPad 3 with iOS 7 beta v6
iPad 1 with iOS 5.1.1
iPhone 4 with iOS 6.1.3
Without the sandbox enviroment I can't test the new issue and this cause big delay in the pubblication of the new issue.
Somebody can suggest a solution or is an App Builder bug?

Hi All,
I believe this is a problem with the mobileprovision files associated with your device, although I'm not 100% sure, because we have not faced this problem internally.
I can say that when iTunes sync is buggy I do the following:
Disconnect my device from my PC.
Reboot my iDevice.
Remove the App from iTunes.
I then add the app to iTunes again, sync and it ususally works.
If that doesn't help, here is a potential workaround that the team thinks might work. Again, we haven't reproduced this issue, so we can't say for certain it will clear up the problem.
Delete the mobile provision files stored at ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning\ Profiles/
Delete the provisioning profiles on the device:
iPad: Settings > General > Profiles > Provisioning Profiles
Xcode:
Attach device to PC.
Launch Xcode
Window > Organizer
Select the device in Organizer, then select "Provisioning Profiles" and select the profiles to delete.
Try to install the application again.
I did some searching in the Apple developer forums and did not see anything too helpful.

My update apps button has disappeared

A few days ago the 'update apps' button on my pc disappeared when I was syncing my phone. I've been updating straight on my phone. It's showing in my itunes on my pc that there are now 14 updates. Any suggestions?

I'm slightly confused by your problem.
The only "edit playlist" option is to Edit Smart Playlist, which allows you to change the rules for Smart Playlists, but that does not allow you to add or remove individual songs. Here's a screenshot of the different Playlist types:
To edit a Regular Playlist, simply drag the songs you want into it, or delete the songs from it.
If you highlight a regular Playlist and click on File, the Edit Playlist is greyed out and cannot be used. Frankly, I don't know why it's even shown.
If I want to delete the song Dap Walk from this Playlist, I simply right-click it and choose Delete:

ITunes 'Update all apps' button only updates single app.

I want to update all my apps.
I click 'Update all apps' button.
iTunes asks for my password.
iTunes updates one app.
I click 'Update all apps' button.
iTunes updates all the other apps.
Why oh why oh why doesn't iTunes just update all the apps after I enter my password in the first place?

I have just updated iTunes my credit was there before update and now I can't download updates for Apps I have alreaady purchased, receive an error message to the effect 'due to a temporary problem with accounts......use an alternative payment' I don't need to pay for the update and am afraid to Redeem another gift voucher in case it goes missing too I was in MAS this morning and my credit was definitetly there but since the update it has vanished from MAS and iTunes
Edit: I can update my apps via my iPhone without the issues iTunes has atm
