Development Class for Dimension Tables

I'm trying to change the development package for a dimension within our salecube. Right now its assigned to $TMP. I'm very familar with the basic steps to change this but its not there. The cube itself is assigned to a "z" package but not the dimension. Can someone tell me how to change the package on a dimension.

Hi Richard,
You should be able to do this in SE11 > yrcubename and F4 will give you all the tables fo the dube including the dimension tables. Then Display the table. On the mneu Goto > Object Directory Entry.

La clave de operacion ya está parametrizada en la tabla ES340_OPRKEY.Este no es el problema.
Lo que necesitamos es poder incluir dos Tipos de libros .
El estándar de sap solo saca dos tipos de libros
Libro de facturas expedidas.
Libro de facturas recibidas.
que están identificados en el reporte con las claves de tipo de libro E y R.
Necesitamos que el reporte obtenga tambien los libros de
Libro de determinadas operaciones intracomunitarias.
Libro de bienes de inversión.
Cuyas claves de tipo de libro son: U y S
Estas claves No tienen nada que ver con la clave de operacion.
Este es un requerimiento a la hora de presentar el reporte y SAP no aporta solucion.

If you are asking the table where messages are stored , it is T100.
Development class for message class is project specific. You need to check that.

Missing most detailed table for dimension tables

Hi ,
I am getting this following error
Business Model Core:
[nQSError: 15003] Missing most detailed table for dimension tables: [Dim - Customer,Dim - Account Hierarchy,Dim - Account Region Hierarchy,Fact - Fins - Period Days Count].
[nQSError: 15001] Could not load navigation space for subject area Core.
I got this error when I tried to configure # of Elapsed Days and # of Cumulative Elapsed Days by following way-
1. Using the Administration Tool, open OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd.

2. In the Business Model and Mapping layer, go the logical table Fact - Fins - Period
Days Count.
3. Under Sources, select the Fact_W_DAY_D_PSFT logical table source.
4. Clear the Disabled option in the General tab and click OK.
5. Open the other two logical table sources, Fact_W_DAY_D_ORA and Fact_W_
DAY_D_PSFT, and select the Disabled option.
6. Add the "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count" and "Dim - Company" logical tables to
the Business Model Diagram. To do so, right-click the objects and select Business
Model Diagram, Selected Tables Only.
7. In the Business Model Diagram, create a new logical join from "Dim - Company"
to "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count." The direction of the foreign key should be
from the "Dim - Company" logical table to the "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count"
table. For example, on a (0,1):N cardinality join, "Dim - Company" will be on the
(0/1) side and "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count" will be on the N side.
8. Under the Fact - Fins - Period Days Count logical table, open the "# of Elapsed
Days" and "# of Cumulative Elapsed Days" metrics, one at a time.
9. Go to the Levels tab. For the Company dimension, the Logical Level is set to All.
Click the X button to remove it. Repeat until the Company dimension does not
have a Logical Level setting.
10. Make sure to check Global Consistency to ensure there are no errors, and then
save the RPD file.

Business Model DAC Measures:

I am also attaching my Business Model layer for easy understanding. I have a fact table and several Dimension table. I got this error only after creating the following hierarchies:
Execution Plan -> Tasks -> Details
Start Date Time Hierarchy
End Date Time Hierarchy

Yes ! My Task Hierarchy has 3 dimension tables that form a hierarchy :Execution Plan -> Tasks -> Detail
All the 3 levels in the hierarchy are 3 different dimension tables.

Changing the development class for 0CALMONTH

Hi we upgraded from BW3.5 to 7.0 and we are getting the same error from the thread : Unable to change development class because field is greyed out
Does anyone know how this problem was resolved.

I am changing the development class for 0CALMONTH and for some reason I am not able to change the $TMP to ZBW because it is greyed out. I also noticed the Orginal system field is SAP and not our BWD name and the Orginal language is DE and not EN.
How would I change the development class for this IO? I am perplexed how this got to this status. When I collected the 0CALMONTH afterwards and listed the IOs belong to 0CALMONTH, I was able to change the development class. Why is this being greyed out?

Object class for AUSP table

Hi Experts,
Iam working on change pointers for the Material.
In BD52 transaction iam able to enter some fieds for the material.
But i need to enter Material Classication, and i found AUSP-ATWRT field.
Now, i want to pass this table & field into BD52 transaction. But it is asking Object Class for AUSP.
I know Object class for the table MARA ( is Material)
Could you please let me know how can i find Object Class for AUSP table?

How to check whether this number range buffering for dimension tables (DIM IDs) and InfoObjects (SIDs) is Active or not ??

The Early Watch report lists these because of the large number of rows in the MD/Dim tables. Keep in mind though, that Number Range buffering will really only help if you continue to generate a large volume of new SIDs or Dim IDs with ongoing loads, e.g.
If your transactions being loaded to a cube result in several thousand new rows being added a Dim table, then it makes sense to turn on Number Range buffering for that Dim ID. But if the transaction volume is only cause a few hundred DIM IDs to be added, buffering will not really get you anything.

or
execute report RSWBO052.
Add FORM in blank field under R3TR DTEL, mark field and put your sapscript name, then execute. In Tree double click over sapscript name, and change development class $TMP.

For alv i used cl_gui_alv->set_table_first_display,likewise any class for creaitng table control?????????

Hi,
You can use the class CL_TABLECONTROL for creating table control and the method SET_VALUES shall be used to fill values for tha tabcntrl.
Else, you can use the Table Control Wizard to create the tabcntrl easily.

How to Maintain Surrogate Key Mapping (cross-reference) for Dimension Tables

What would be the best approach on ODI to implement the Surrogate Key Mapping Table on the STG layer according to Kimball's technique:
"Surrogate key mapping tables are designed to map natural keys from the disparate source systems to their master data warehouse surrogate key. Mapping tables are an efficient way to maintain surrogate keys in your data warehouse. These compact tables are designed for high-speed processing. Mapping tables contain only the most current value of a surrogate key— used to populate a dimension—and the natural key from the source system. Since the same dimension can have many sources, a mapping table contains a natural key column for each of its sources.
Mapping tables can be equally effective if they are stored in a database or on the file system. The advantage of using a database for mapping tables is that you can utilize the database sequence generator to create new surrogate keys. And also, when indexed properly, mapping tables in a database are very efficient during key value lookups."
We have a requirement to implement cross-reference mapping tables with Natural and Surrogate Keys for each dimension table. These mappings tables will be populated automatically (only inserts) during the E-LT execution, right after inserting into the dimension table.
Someone have any idea on how to implement this on ODI?

Hi,
first of all please avoid bolding something. After this according Kimball (if i remember well) is a 1:1 mapping, so no-surrogate key.
After that personally you could use Lookup Table

or make a simple outer join filtering by your "Active_Flag" column (remember that this filter need to be inside your outer join).

I am working on a very small project with 6 tables and 2 lookup tables.The form consists of lot of queries to the database.The technologies used are java,jsp and weblogic with MVC2 pattern.My question is do I need to have bean class(setter,getter) methods for each tables.
Suggest a good approach.

Need to change the local change request to development class for Process Ch

I have created a Tranport request for Process chain but its saved as local change request .
Please suggest how to change that .

Hi
1.First delete the request which you collected the process chain as local object becuase you will not able to collect the process chian again.
2. Goto Tranport connector to collect the process chain again.
3. Select grouping option as necessary objects.
4. Drag and drop the process chain to the right hand side
5. After collecting the process chain, click on the package icon and give the package created for development class.
6. The system will ask for Transport request and save the PC in the Transport Request.
