VenkatHello Venkat,
Exactly what kind of "material" are you looking for? The following site, https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/ep, has a Sneak Preview of SAP NetWeaver for downloading and eLearning material for you to go through to prepare yourself by going through the sample. Does that help?

Development Consultant SAP NetWeaver 2004
Hi,
I am a certified ABAP consultant with Certification 2000. I would like to upgrade my certification to Development Consultant SAP NetWeaver 2004 - Application Development Focus ABAP. Does anyone know where I can find study material for the certification exam?
Thanks.Hello Corina
I have taken both exams. Even at the Netweaver exam (6.40) which I passed 10 month ago a big portion of the questions were dealing with "basic" stuff. I you have not taken any exams yet I like to mention that you do not have to write down any answers but it is a multiple-choice test:
- either a single answer is correct (then you will see radio-buttons at each possible answer) or
- serveral answers are correct (checkboxes)
Sample question: "Which modifications are possible with sorted internal tables?" => Of course you cannot append to such a table but must insert your entries.
So, if you have a firm stand on BC430 (ABAP Dictionary), have developed quite a lot (-> BC400 basics of ABAP) and have some general understanding of ABAP-OO (BC401) you will be on the safe side. Also, have a general knowledge of the SAP Technology (guess corresponding to BC050) like the client-server technology.
Official documents like the BC401 documents cannot be shared because SAP would not allow this. In any case, you will find plenty of information in the SAP online help.
Finally, I highly recommend the weblog <a href="/people/thomas.jung3/blog/2005/05/15/abap-46c-to-640-delta-training 46C to 640 Delta Training"</a> by Thomas Jung. You need not to know these topics in detail, yet they might be useful for some questions.

SAP NetWeaver Developer Workplace & SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
Hi All
1. What is the difference between SAP NetWeaver Developer Workplace & SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. Which area JDI (Java Developer Infrastructure) fall in.
2. Is SAP NetWeaver Developer Workplace & SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
are tool for Enterprise Portal development/customizing Only or can you use also use to customize XI/BW/SRM etc..applications.
3. Is SAP NetWeaver Developer Workplace & SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio are replacement of old ABAP programming
Thanks everyone.Julio,
To answer your third question, No, NetWeaver Developer Studio (NDS) isn't to replace ABAP or ABAP workbench. NDS helps in creating Java based applications to compliment with the ABAP programs and enable them accessible via the Enterprise Portal. ABAP would stay to be the primary development language for SAP systems. The newest version of NetWeaver software also come with an option of ABAP stack where in you can develop web based applications (accessible via the portal) using ABAP

Can Adobe forms developed under SAP NetWeaver be used in SAP Rel. 4.7 ?
Hello,
I was asked by a customer whether it is possible to use an adobe form in SAP Release 4.7 which was developed in SAP NetWeaver or not.Hello,
I think the key component you need for Adobe forms is ADS (Adobe document services) which you will only get with Netweaver.
Please see the following link for SAP recommended environments for Adobe forms:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/EN/e4/9e7cf580ac401086a172a70e3c038b/frameset.htm

MAM development on SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1?
Hello world
I did notice that SAP has released SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1. I was of course very curious if this would (finally) make MAM25 developments possible in the new SAP NetWeaver (Mobile ) Developer Studio 7.1, because the old SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.0 is based on Eclipse 2.X while the new one is based on Eclipse 3.3 (which has some advantages compared to Eclipse 2.X).
So I did download SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.1 and SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1, and installed both of them on my system. I was positively surprised when I noticed a Mobile Infrastructure perspective. So I did download our customized MAM25 source code from the CVS server and I tried to let it compile and run on SAP NetWeaver Mobile Developer Studio 7.1.
Compiling was not a problem: after including some required JAR files, the code did compile successfully, however when trying to export the project, it seemed that the JSP files were not compiled, however I did put the tick mark at the Add JSP as compiled classes option. In my NetWeaver Developer, a folder $jsp was created, but with nothing inside. And in the generated WAR-file, I couldn't find any compiled JSP file as well...
In the 7.0 version, a file called mam25.jar was created and putted into the lib folder in the war archive file, which contained all the class files. This file was not created with version 7.1.
When trying to run the MAM from within NetWeaver Mobile Developer Studio 7.1, I did get the following exception when launching:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/tc/mobile/cfs/startup/Startup
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sap.tc.mobile.cfs.startup.Startup
Is there anyone who can tell me whether or not SAP NetWeaver Mobile Developer studio 7.1 is able to compile, generate and run the MAM25 source? If not, why is there a perspective Mobile Infrastructure included?
If it is compatible, does anyone have an idea why it didn't work with me?
Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
DiederikHi all,
First of all, thanks for all the information!
I think there is a little misunderstanding, or maybe I am wrong
SAP NetWeaver is the web-application you can use to analyze, administrate, etc... your mobile applications?
I am actually talking about the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.1, which is in fact just an extended Eclipse environment. There is some kind of mobile update pack which you can find here: [SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 SP3|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0846cb5-59ec-2a10-46a2-cff9cd9b8fc3]
My question was if you can maintain and develop in JAVA your MAM25 application with this version of the Netweaver Developer Studio? I did notice a perspective Mobile Infrastructure as in version 7.0, and I can compile the JAVA code, but I can't run the application (see error in original posting) and it seems that no JAVA files are generated from the JSP files.
I guess it is just a matter of making the plugins compatible for Eclipse 3.X, because the plugin system of Eclipse 2.X is not compatible with the plugin system of Eclipse 3.X. But because of the Mobile Infrastructure perspective that I did notice, I was thinking that this was done. But this seems not to be the case, or I did do something wrong...
So the only question is: can I use SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.1 (aka Eclipse 3.X) to develop in JAVA the MAM25 application?
Thanks for the help!
Best regards,
Diederik -
SSO for SAP and Non-SAP applications without Enterprise Portal
Dear all,
Is it possible to implement SSO for both SAP and non-SAP applications without involvement of EP at all?
I have gone through this link.
<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/e5/4344b6d24a05408ca4faa94554e851/frameset.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/e5/4344b6d24a05408ca4faa94554e851/frameset.htm</a>
But I still i am not able to get the precise answer on how to enable SSO for both SAP and non-SAP applications without EP.
We have decided not to implement EP in first phase of SAP implementation. But we need to enable SSO for other SAP and Non-SAP applications.
A detailed description on how to deal this kind of scenarios will be helpful.
Thanks.A client of our's uses <b>SAP Enterprise Portal</b>, and is using the SAP SSO, which is implemented with tickets, and requires the use of SAPSECULIB. My company provides an application for this client, and our application in hosted in our data center for the client, as a Software as a Service application, obviously across the internet. Our client, which owns a SAP license, has asked that we support the SAP SSO as a non-SAP SSO application. The client user's SSO ticket will be created from SAP EP, and then passed across the internet to our application, and we are to use that SSO ticket as an authentication ticket to our application. I beleive I know how to do this work technically, having reviewed the SAP document named: "Dynamic Library for Verifying SSO Tickets in Third-Party Software" Specification Version 2.00 December 2005.
My question is, does my company have the right to use the SAPSECULIB? Where is the official download and <b>license</b> download, that indicates we can download this library, and use it to support a SAP customer? We do not own a SAP license. Thank you for your help. I have searched many places in SAP support.<b></b> -

How to Register as a Developer on SAP NetWeaver ABAP 7.02 Trial Version
Hi Everyone,
I was following a tutorial on ABAP and this centred on "Hello World" application. I got a message that I haven't been registered as a Developer on the system and that I need some code from OSS. I have tried checking here for any clues but it seemed none existed. Can't SAP be a bit more simplified like MS? It really requires lots of effort to get the right help and even at that, helps are not easily come by. I really which someone would point me in the right direction this time.

Netweaver Java Enterprise Portal System Copy issue
Dear friends,
We are trying to export Production portal online without down time and install Target system using import method.
Import process is successfull and we tried doing element.resync=true for force bootstrap from the database. We are able to see SAP standard applicaitons but all custom applications are missing. I mean all application under sap.com are available and all applicaitons under <ourcomapny>.org is not see. We checked the export dump we see all .SDA files for each application in the export dump.
If anyone know the reason why it didn't deploy. Please let me know. We are using Production and Sandbox: NW 2004s EHP1 SP4.
Thank You.
