Been there - Done that - 4-5 times now! In my case I had a new W2K Server install and did not have to be picky about what to delete.
So, here is what I did.;
After deleting all Oracle files and folders on the drive I then went into "regedit" and deleted the following from the registry;
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (delete all Oracle folders within)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE (delete the Oracle folder)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / SERVICES (delete all Oracle related services)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / ControlSet002 / SERVICES (delete all Oracle related services)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / ControlSet001 / SERVICES (delete all Oracle related services)
rebooted the machine AND WAH-LAH! Oracle was gone!
Then I started over with a new 9iAS install. (here we go again)

The user then export the document to pdf。
there is no problem in indesign CS3 and indesign CS4.
but in indesign CS5 and CS5.5,
export pdf, there will be two kinds of format：
Adobe PDF(Interaction)
Adobe PDF(Print)
If the user chooses to export a pdf(Interaction),there is no problem,
but if user choose to export to pdf(print)，
All of the footnote is replaced by an ordinary Arabic numerals 1,2,3,4,......
I think there is a bug in exported the pdf function in cs5 and cs5.5，
so ，who can help me to submit this bug to the adobe indesign development team？ thanks.

Multiple Servers for Development Team in WLI2.1 on wlidomain

Has anyone tried to create multiple servers so that a development team can share
the resources of a domain with WLI 2.1? If so, how did it work. I have done this
with WLS but would like to try it with WLI.
I tried to create multiple servers, but, had difficulty as there seems to many
resources that are tied to the server name and default port. Also, I tried to
change the port and that caused alot of problems on the myserver.

I was not looking for something which is scaling out Hyperion Planning(via load balancer)/Horizontal clustering.
But was looking for some thing like Vertical clustering(multiple JVMs/nodes of Hyperion Planning within a single planning server) which was applicable in 11.1.1.3.
Came to know that with 11.1.2.2 vertical clustering not more supported.

A FAQ with Qs like:

<li>Where can I find extensions?
may be the best way to handle the "collateral" as it can retain the same (easily understood title) whilst being extendable to cover virtually anything.
As an example, I think Mark Drake has handled this well on the {forum:id=34} forum.

I am submitting these questions to the ABAP development team at SAP regarding the language capabilities.
Coming from the Java/C world I am wondering if you plan the following possible "evolutions" of the ABAP language :
   - a real boolean implementation in ABAP like in Java or C; possibly a OO class implementation with full operators;
   -> the possibilty to write conditionnal expressions or assignements like the followings :
   x = ( a and not b).
   if (x or f(x)=false) then ...
   - possibility in ABAP to nest function calls on objects like in most every OO language (java, c++, ruby...etc ) : x = a.b().c()
- Concerning the ABAP editor :
     - fixing the problem with the drag n drop problem from the class browser to the source editor of long method+class/interface names
     - real code completion on objects (no heuristic approach) by providing access to method or attribute names like in most OO IDEs

I have been looking over the site, and I am struggling to locate a contact address for the development team.
The query is this: Without giving too much away, I have in mind what I believe to be a highly innovative software concept / marketing method to integrate with the existing format and content provided by iTunes.
Therefore, I am looking to arrange a pitch for this idea.
Probably a long shot on the forums, but I'm guessing there has to be a certain amount of company involvement in the moderation thereof.

Central or distributed portal development team?

In my company's current environment, all portal development work is done by one team that focuses only on Portal.
I have been asked to find a way for other development teams to do development in the Portal.
I am a bit uncomfortable with this for many reasons and wanted to get some feedback on how others handle it.
Do you have one portal development team?
Do you have developers distributed among othe teams with one team doing only administration?
Any other models?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

It is good to have administration team and developers team.
You can restrict developers to only development activities . By doing so only adminstrators will have full control on portal related . You can make them responsible for portal related.
But communication / cooperation between development teams and administrators should be fast .

ApEx Development Team: tab clear cache - new feature?

Hi ApEx Development Team!
I searched the forum and found, that many have (had) the same problem like me:
Why isn't it possible to clear the cache by clicking on a tab? Why is it only possible for parent tabs?
Wouldn't it be a nice feature for the next version of ApEx? This feature exists already, only not for the standard tabs...

Using Condition code in this unexpected way will make an application much harder to debug and maintain. If I came across this in an application I was working on I'd refactor it.
Scott posted the correct way to do this above (post of 26-Mar-2008 23:00—not marked as helpful/correct as this was before the forum had this feature): Clear cache using an On-Submit Application Process that is conditional on the <tt>:REQUEST</tt> value set by the relevant tab(s).

We have been trying to get an update on the status of a Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 App, and no one ever seems to want to respond. It was posted and "acknowledged" back in 2012, with no Verizon update since. Every time someone tries to repost the question, it quickly get's move to the old thread and then ignored by Verizon with no other response...
