Deviation/Discrepancy reports in LMS 4.1

this is probably more a feature request than a question, but on the "Best Practices Deviation" and "Discrepancies" reports, all the columns are sortable, EXCEPT the one that would group them by host. Everything seems to auto-sort by date/time, but at least allows me to sort by "remarks" or "type" . The "summary" column contains all the information I need, but it isn't sortable, and I haven't found a way to add columns to that report. Ideally there would be a column that is "device reporting" and i would be able to sort by that, which would then group all the deviations of a given type by specific host.
So, is there a way to either add a "host" column to the deviations/discrepancies reports, that then is sortable, or some other way to access this information without having to look up each individual device in the "device center"?

Question: Using Adobe Acrobat - Is it possible to execute JavaScript to report to LMS to track pdf was viewed?
What I would like to do is to create a pdf with an Acknowledgement button that when click will report (via JavaScript) to the LMS (Learning Management System) that the end user viewed/acknowledged the pdf.
Can this be down with JavaScript in this fashion?

Thanks, (My fault, as I should have specified this.) Due to legacy reasons I need to use ie, and so I can't use the PrintPdf firefox plugin. So from reading the rest of that thread, the best method does seem to be to get hold of a copy of acrobat, and add a Print() script in each file, and open it in a new tab.
At least it gives me somethigin to try anyway :-)

Whats the difference between "Reporting to LMS as Score" vs "Reporting to LMS as Percent" when you are doing a quiz.
Im trying to decide whether or not to click the score or percent option. On my LMS I want to report a grade from the user.

I found a link on the captivate blog that talks about captivates reports scores and not the percentage. Although I have captivate version 5.5. I would like to report the percentage of this module instead of the score. do I still need to download the patch inorder to report a percentage?

Native VLAN discrepancy is not reported in LMS 4.0

Hi all,
I have the following problem in LMS 4.0. I see a lot of CDP syslog messages about Native Vlan Mismatch, but the LMS doesn't report it in the disrepancy report. Why?? The similar problem is with TRUNK VLAN Mismatch.
The customer doesn't use VTP in his network. All switches are in the VTP transparent mode.

Display issues with languages other than English (also related: slide results not reporting to LMS)

Running: Captivate 6
I'm having two
issues that I thought was only tied to Cyrillic characters, but appears to be with multiple languages (confirmed with Brazillian Portugese, Latin American Spanish, Swedish and Russian).
1. Quiz Pass/Fail result message appearing truncated (top and bottom of message is cut off, or message appears wrapped and overlaps)
I've attempted converting the text to a UTF-8 format and tried that as well, but had no success.
2. We have a 108 slide test created in Captivate v6; the English version pushes all 108 slide results to our LMS without issue. When we created the version in Russian, one slide refused to push slide results.
Steps to confirm/resolve:
I've confirmed the settings are identical on the project and on the slide between both the EN and RU versions
I've pasted the russian text into the working EN project and published/tested and that particular slide does not push results to the LMS (the only thing changed was the text on the existing slide)
I've tried duplicating working slides and replacing text; it fails to report
I've tried converting the text to a UTF-8 format and replacing the text; again it fails to push slide results to our LMS
I've tried about every option I can to get the RU version fo the test working (pushing results for all 108 slides); Out of desperation I've created a work around which is putting the question and answer options in as images (not text) and then the test pushes all 108 slide results. This leads me to believe that the issue is regarding how the font is viewed/read by Captivate 6 and ultimately reported to our LMS (SABA).
I've reached out to our localization company (SDL) and their only suggestion was the UTF-8 formatting (which failed).

If your homepage framework is working for German language then check if your setting are properly maintain for Area Group Key SAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005 in French Turkish Portugese..
Solution:Login to system in each language i.e FR, TR, PT
navigate to SPRO>FA>TM>ESS>Homepage FR> select Header & Area Group Pages>
Select Define Area Group Pages > Add Entries> Select the SAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005 Key check weather the Area Group
Role Text is maintain for FR TR PT if not maintain the translation your problem will be resolved.

Slide views only to be reported, but grade is reporting to lms as 0 instead of n/a

My client has a number of quiz questions throughout their course. They asked that the quiz be set up to allow infinite attempts until the learner gets the answer right, and that there are no points or grade associated with the quiz. I've set up each question as a quiz question, but set the grade to be 0. I did it as a quiz question as there are matching type questions, multiple choice, etc. and I found it valuable to have the structure in place to add in the content. The reporting preferences are set up as to report back slide views only, but when this file communicates with the LMS, it is reporting back a pass/complete but giving a grade of 0. I'd like it to show up as n/a under the grade rather than 0.
Also, this course isn't booking marking and learners aren't happy because when they go back in their answers aren't saving. As well, the client wanted backward movement to be allowed but when the learner clicks the back button to go back through the slides, it automatically resets the question slides and they have to re-answer them to continue. Is there a way to change a setting so that the answers will stay in place?
And my last question (promise, sorry for so many) under the quiz settings and then required there are 4 options. I'm just wondering if anyone can explain these 4 options and what each do, so that I can make sure I'm selecting the best one. Up until now it's been a trial/error type of thing, but it would be great if anyone can share some additional info.

Adobe Presenter 9 quiz results reporting to LMS

We have over 50 users of AP9, and currently use a Success Factors LMS. Our AP9 quiz results are currently reporting only the cut/mastery score to the LMS student transcript, not the actual score the student gets. Any ideas? I've read all the help and tutorial material and it does not address the actual score reporting anywhere. What are the correct quiz and Reporting options settings to get actual scores reported for a final quiz? We SCORM wrap v1.2. Our LMS suppport says it is pulling what AP9 sends- which is the cut score. When we test as a learner, we can get 100% but if the mastery score is set at 80% we see as a learner we acheived 100% but only 80% score goes to our transcript. Does AP 10 function differently in this aspect than AP 9?

Contract Connection reports in LMS 3.2

I'm attempting to run this report and it's not recognizing my id/password.
However on my old server which is running LMS 3.1 this report runs fine. I'm not mistyping my id/password I have confirmed that I'm not. See screenshot of error is this a bug?

This is a known issue. Development is working on it to correct the Cisco.com side so it reports the correct contracts. As of now, there is no workaround within LMS.

Interface report in LMS 4.0.1

Hi,
we have LMS 4.0.1 and we have defined some pollers for measuring traffic in some interfaces of several devices. Sometimes we need to obtain a performance report of a certain interface, how can we get a report that shows only the traffic for that specific interface?
As fas as I know, when generating reports we cannot select an interface, only devices or pollers, and with these methods, we obtain data from more interfaces than the specific one that we need. Is there any way for doing what we need?

Currently ifAlias polling is not supported but a feature enhancement bug does exits and its not resolved as of yet.

Core switches experience High CPU while generating syslog report from LMS

Hi Everyone,
Are there anyone who experience that the CPU utilization of some devices went up while generating a report from RME. Basing from other monitoring tool SNMP is taking up a huge cpu process. Any idea why this happened considering that the report is generated daily but only on one instance it caused the core switches to be paralyze due to high cpu. Changing the SNMP community string is the immediate action that resolve the issue to disconnect it from LMS.
BTW, this is LMS 2.6.

The problem did not reoccurred any more. When I checked on the Syslogcollector.log it appeared that it is unable to subscribe. I assumed that the reason why snmp packets were flooded during the time that it they experience high cpu is because the client is generating syslog report for all devices while the syslog collector is not subscribe. Is this possible?

The requirement is to know whether Qty or Delivery date has been changed while creation of PO in ME57 or after creation of PO.
