    Hi All,
I have LMS 3.2  SP1 running on windows machine, when i am generating 24 hours report(Standard) in RME i do not see any records, while in Device center  in Device Diagnostic center, i can see the same report showing the logs.  i have checked the sylog.log file, i can see the logs in it. I have restored the original database by Restoredborig.pl, the RME database also but no result.
I would appreciate quick reply in this matter as i am facing this issue since long time and tried all possible things.

  • LMS 3.2 SP1 RME showing no records in syslog report while shows same report in device center

    Hi All,
I have LMS 3.2 SP1 installed on windows 2003 server with 2 GB of RAM, its doubled swap space and with 230 GB of partition assigned to it.
when i am generating Syslog 24 hour report in RdME , it does not show any data. I have checked with syslog.log file which is perfect. Even, i have recreated this file. I have checked with syslog collector and analyzer which is also fine. I have also restored the database to factory default by RestoredbOrig.pl script, but no result.
I can see the same syslog standard report in Device center in Device Diagnostic tool by selecting the device and clicking on syslog standard report.
Can somebody help me in this matter, as this is long pending issue?

  • No syslog on device center

    Hi all,
I have test for the ws-c2960s-tc-l to unplug the cable, it can see the syslog in device center. however when i test for cisco3945 to unplug the UTP cable. it doen't show any message on device center. I can see the syslog from the log/syslog.log. why cann't it be seem by the device center. anyone had  the problem before and can give me some advice. thanks. the RME , common service, ciscoview already update.
    Mike

I am installed the LMS3.2 version and firstly I found that it is not support for the device of the new equipment(cisco3945,cisco2901,ws-c2960s-tc-l.etc)
then I use the common service--->device update to update the RME,ciscoview, and also common service. after that, it can select the new equipment from common service---->device management. then I add the device of cisco 3945 and ws-c2960s-tc-l for test, however, it only have the log for 2960 but not cisco3945 from the device center.
when I generate a 24 hour report for syslog on cisco3945 , there have no any log, but if I generate a for example 12-sep-10 to 12-sep-10 report , it can so the syslog for the past 24 hour.

  • CiscoWorks LMS3.2 device selectability in RME Config Management

    Hello
All of a sudden we are unable to select individual devices in RME / Config Management, devices appear grayed out, we are able to select the whole device group and run the job but not individual devices. If we go to Device Center we can select individual devices and perform tasks.
We have tried restarting server (windows) and stopping and starting CW Daemon Manager, not sure what else to look at.
    Thanks in advance.
    carl bagge

Please try to break the integration with the following procedure:
CiscoWorks to local login mode (bring down ACS integration)
    1. Stop the daemon manager using:
    On Windows: net stop crmdmgtd
    On Solaris: /etc/init.d/dmgtd stop
    2. Execute the following script:
    On Windows: NMSROOT/bin/perl ResetLoginModule.pl
    On Solaris:/opt/CSCOpx/bin/ResetLoginModule.pl
    3. Start the daemon manager using:
    On Windows: net start crmdmgtd
    On Solaris: /etc/init.d/dmgtd start.
Note: You must have appropriate privileges on the system
    Windows =  Administrator
    Solaris = root
After this check if you are able to perform all the tasks without being integrated with ACS and then integrate again,  but in CW Common Services>Server>Security>AAA Mode Setup, please do not check the Application Registration box.

  • Device center doesn't show "config" options

LMS 3.2.1 device center doesn't show options related to config management, only "Tools" and "Reports"

If that's the case, then the database entries must still be pointing to an old version of RME.  The application registration and database records must match exactly for task entries to show in Device Center.  You'll need to open a TAC service request (use the Open Service Request link in the Actions panel of this thread), and TAC can walk you through the procedure to modify the database records to point to RME 4.3.2.

  • Cisco LMS Prime: No IPSLA Statistics in Device Center

    Hello,
i set up a shadow IPSLA router to measure UDP jitter in our network, which is working fine. I'd like to ask why the statistics are not showing up in the Device Center Performace details.
I configured also a SNMP poller to poll the collector information from the RTTMON mib.

Yes I did get that issue resolved with the Help of TAC. They said that I was hitting a particular bug: CSCtc21648
No idea  if you are hitting the same bug or not but here is the information that I was given.

  • Functions Missing in Device Center - Management Tasks

I have just upgraded to LMS3.2, and have noticed that the only management task listed is "Create Collector".  The Summary panel is also no longer displaying information relating to Error Messages etc.
LMS has been patched up to  RME 4.3.1 and Campus Manager 5.2.1.  I have also run the Perl script to add the new modules to ACS.
I am running from an account that has full administrative rights. Can you assist?

  • LMS 2.6: Can no longer find devices in Device Center

    Hi,
I recently went through the excercise of renaming our 3 CiscoWorks servers to be the same name as the server itself was named. This was because of a Jrm server problem that we started experiancing.
I thought I had completed this successully, because once done, Jrm and its dependant services started running again, and all the scheduled jobs started working.
However, it appears I was wrong. Since making these changes we have lost visibility to most of our devices through the Device Center application. All the devices (2,625 of them) are still available when looking through the Common Services menu options. However, when searching for a device in the Device Center, only 11 of these 2,625 devices are visible. I did a search using the * as a wild character and that was all that appeared in the list.
All that appears for a device not listed is the IP address, and the Device Type fileds (with correct inofrmation), and in the Functions AVAilable section, only the Tools menu.
All processes on the server, which is the master server in our environment, running CS, and RME, are running with no apparent errors EXCEPT for the process EDS-TR, which it says has Never Started.
Does anyone know why the devices no longer appear?
    Regards
    Jeff

Oops. You are correct, I didn't do that step.
Trying to do it now though using the following command after running the net stop crmdmgtd command (on all the servers):
    D:\CSCOpx\log>dbisqlc -c "uid=cmfDBA;pwd=*******;eng=cmfEng;dbf=D:\CSCOpx\databases\cmf\cmf.db" -q update PIDM_app_device_map SET app_hostname='HP1813' where app_hostname='GEB'
I get a the following pop up error message:
    Error at line 1
Specified database file is already in use
It could be a typing error, but I cant see it. D:\CSCOpx is my NMSROOT directory.
Looking at the services still running on the master server where I am running this command, I notice the following Cisco services are still started:
    CiscoWorks Web Server
    CWCS Cmf database engine
    CWCS rsh/rcp service
    CWCS syslog service
    CWCS tftp service
Do I have to stop any of these?
    Regards
    Jeff

If the devices appear normal then there is nothing wrong with RME. Backup the database. First reboot the device to check if this works. If this doesn't work upgrade the RME version.

  • 700w not recognized by Vista with windows mobile device center

    please help:
i have a treo 700w that doesn't want to consistently connect to machine I am working on. when it works (rarely), it works fine, when it doesn't there is no explanation. I have restarted both computer and phone, and I can't seem to get a connection made.
Further I tried to uninstall/reinstall the windows mobile device center, i have removed the sync profiles on both my computer and phone, but nothing is seeming to work. I find it interesting that vista recognized my Smartphone USB device (it shows in the device manager), but that windows mobile device center doesn't show that anything is connected.
I am connecting via USB, but would be happy to connect via bluetooth, but when i try that approach, it only offers headset/wireless stereo (i'm looking for calendar/contacts/etc).
any direction would be wonderful - i have searched in google and subsequent pages for an hour already, and I'm thinking someone must have a better way.
    Thanks,
    -cb
PS - for those who are forum administrators, the registration process sucks: the password limitations are oddly strong for a simple forum like this, and when you don't put in a proper password from the get-go, it clears your prior selection of device/os/agreement registration, so when you fix the red flags (the password) and submit, it (and only then) tells you that you've forgotten to answer the questions below (that you had already answered before you were thwarted by the password reqs). sigh.
Post relates to: Treo 700w (Verizon)

    Hi AlanG,
I have tried multiple USB connections, and do not have another sync cable. No luck.
Though, your post gave me an idea and that was to use a safety pin to scrape the contacts at the bottom of the phone. I keep the phone in my pocket most of the time, so there was some visible grime, though i would have guessed that the connection could have been made (it wasn't that grimy, just not shiny).
The other thing that was interesting is that when it was plugged in previous to the cleaning it shows the device connected to be a " smartphone usb sync ". Post cleaning, it now shows as a " PocketPC ". I'm not sure what the difference is, nor if I should be hoping that it reads "treo 700w", but hey, can't look a gift horse in the mouth, right?
So, that, in addition with removing all partnerships on both the machine and the treo (and after restarting my phone) it finally connected.
Wow. What a remarkable pain.  Let's hope it keeps working.

  • Windows Mobile Device Center no longer supported?

I have a customer that has some Motorola Windows Mobile 6.5 devices.   They were trying to get their devices connected to their PCs with Windows Mobile Device Center and were running into problems.  They contacted Microsoft Tech support and were
told that the Windows Mobile Device Center is no longer a supported product.  Is there any truth to that?  How the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS still be supported but the Windows Mobile Device Center is not?  Their IT team will not let them install/use

I think this is what you need. you can find the Microsoft product support lifecycle in here:

  • Windows Mobile Device Center fails to open on Windows Vista and Windows 7 machines

    Hello,
Our domain based machines cannot open Windows Mobile Device Center (Windows 7 and Windows Vista). You click the application and nothing happens. There are no errors in the Event Viewer that relate. In Task Manager I do NOt see any processes that look related
to Windows Mobile Device Center. Our Group Policy Objects are very lean and limited, and we do not have any policies that specify how Windows Mobile Device Center should behave. The only GPO that I could think would interfere with this is to prevent malware
and viruses, we have disabled Autoplay on removable devices.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
