Device Central defaults to Spanish!

When I start the program it comes up in Spanish. I don't
speak that, but it didn't take long to figure out where the
Preferences dialog was. However, when I look at the list of
languages available
English ISN'T one of them
! {The closest is EN-USA (Espanol)}.
How do I get English back for this program?!?!
Thanks in advance...

    when i try to open a .swf file, it goes to adobe device central as default.  i can't seem to open it in adobe flash????

    You likely need to change the default application(s) assigned for opening files to point to the new ones.  HOw you do that depends on which operating system you have. If you search Google you should be able to find out how to change the default programs for different files.

  • Jquery mobile example and device central test

    Hi
    Having created in Dreamweaver the default template for Jquery Mobile ( Page from sample > Mobile Starters>jquery mobile (local) ) and saved to localhost as well as on the web I decided to test in device central using preview in the device central option.
    in device central I used the Apple Iphone 4 emulator and could see that I was able to proceed to page 2 by clicking on it , however clicking on the back button does not work.
    This is the same for all pages in the JQM example.
    I then tried this on a web emulator http://www.testiphone.com/ and the back button works OK. So does this mean that device central is not working correctly or have i missed something

    Hi
    Have a look at http://forums.adobe.com/message/3857648#3857648 not sure how long it takes for fix to be implemented.

  • Where is Device Central that exist in CS5 in Cs6 ?

    in Adobe Flash Cs5 there is Device central to choose and test Air android with different resolution and brand
    but i cant find this on Flash CS6 !!
    so how can i test my Air 3.2 project in various resolutions and devices ??

    Since you're using Android, although it's not quite as easy, you may want to consider using the Android SDK tools themselves to test on multiple emulated devices. It has a SDK manager to let you test against any Android OS you want on an actual emulated ARM core or it also has an Intel Atom x86 core (runs much faster on an x86 system) usually for each OS firmware version as well. It comes with some default configurations for devices but you're free to create your own device from the ground up. You then use the command line tools to install your APK into the emulator and then take it for a spin. You won't find better emulation than this.
    Here's the Nexus 7 default config running and I'm using the Intel Atom driver rather than the ARMv7 because ARM emulation is rather slow. You can even emulate cameras or use webcams for them, allow it to use your OpenGL capabilities, etc:
    Again as you can see I'm running the Nexus 7 on OS 4.2.2 using Intel Atom. You just select your configured profile and click "Start" and an emulator will come up.
    This all comes with the Android SDK which you can download here:
    Android SDK | Android Developers
    The device configuration panel is pretty comprehensive. First you configure a base device:
    Then based on that you can create variations:
    This lets you target very finely and get a real idea of how your app will work in many different OS's, hardware configs and several environment factors (low space, high space, fast/slow GPU, hardware controls, hardware keyboard, etc). Give it a shot!

  • Device Central CS5.0.1 - Update Failed

    Hi
    Over the last week or so there has been an update for Device Central CS5.0.1 but when I run Application Manager to updateDevice Central CS5.0.1 it fails.
    There are no clues as to why it has failed, other recent updates for Photoshop, Illustrator etc where successfulI.
    I am running Windows 7 and CS5
    Any help in sorting this out would be appreciated and BTW how do I contact Adobe Support?
    Many thanks
    Steve

    I am also having the same problem using Win 7 and Photoshop Extended CS5.
    I continued to get the 'no issues found' when running the Adobe Support Advisor, until I went into preferences of ASA and changed the option under the second section called "Hide Inspecting Option Dialog" from the default 7-days to "All Logs".  Once I did that, it indicated that it had found issues and the issues log would be sent to Adobe.  Some progress, at least.
    But what really irks me is the fact that the Adobe Updater continues to show I need the update!  I don't use Device Central but I can't get rid of the reminder to install the update.  I guess it is payback for using the default installation process when I installed CS5!
    I also read the message thread in the link above, but like another user, I didn't understand what the fix was (without reinstalling the whole product, that is).

  • Creation of flash file from Device Central failing

    Hi,
    I'm currently trying to create a new flash document from Device Central and the application is throwing the following error:
    Cannot create new document. The xfl template document is either missing or corrupted.
    I am also unable to test my flash files in Device Central via Test Movie.
    This function was working fine until a couple of days ago.
    Has anyone had any similar issues? I am running Master Collection CS5.5 for Mac.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    For anyone who has this problem in the future, I have managed to get it working again by doing a complete reinstall of Master Collection.

  • How to uninstall supported Photoshop CS3 programs like Adobe Bridge CS3, Device Central CS3 etc.

    Hello
    I have installed Photoshop CS3, but it also installed other programs like Adobe Bridge, Device Central, Stock Photos, Camera Raw etc. I want to ask how can I uninstall them because I am using Photoshop only. And all of this other programs just take a lot of space on my HDD. Please help how to unistall them...!

    You are saving maybe 600 MB and Bridge is an integral part of Photoshop as is Camera RAW which is a whopping 23MB.

  • Why would hotspots work in the browser, but not in Device Central?

    I exported a small prototype from Fireworks CS5 to HTML & Images & tested my hotspots in my Firefox browser.  That worked fine.
    Then in Device Central CS5 I did File > Open File & selected the home page for this protototype.  None of the hotspots worked in Device Central.
    Any clues?  Shouldn't they work in Device Central?

    Please forgive me.  This is working.  I didn't notice because the page changed so smoothly & I  couldn't see the part of the page that indicated it changed.  Yeah it works!

  • Can any phone type be emulated in Device Central?

    I'm just starting out on Mobile App development, and I'm trying to make sense of it all.
    To test the application process, I created a very simple Flash file, 550x400 pixels.  One button click changes from one frame to another and moves some text on screen.
    Exported it as an swf file from CS4, with actionscript 3.0 chosen.
    I've tried emulating it with quite a few Nokia, Sony/Ericsson, Motorola devices, and as of yet, I can't find ANY phone that will emulate this file in Device Central.
    Perhaps I missed something.
    Can anybody clue me in?

  • Android App - works fine in Device Central but not in phone

    Greetings!
    Just looking for some general "you might try this" tips.  I've built a very basic game app for Android so I can start learning not only how to develop for Android, but also how to publish and distribute Android apps to users.
    My game works fine when I test in Device Central from Flash.  And I've been able to upload my app to the Android Market. But when I install and run on my Android phone (I've actually tested on two separate devices), I just get a light yellow screen with a series of tiny dots that move across the screen, almost like a loading indicator, but nothing happens after that.
    I've tried publishing as both an Air (Air 2) file and a Flash (Flash 10) file.  In device central, I tested the app on a Droid Incredible emulation.  The devices I've tested on are an HTC Inspire (AT&T) and an HTC Thunderbolt (Verizon).
    So, I know there's no way for someone to take my limited description above and say "this is your problem".  Again, I'm just hoping for some general tips along the lines of "try publishing in a different version of Flash".
    Any suggestions for where I should start digging?
    Thanks in advance!
    Joel

    Sign out of the store on your phone, then sign back in. Note having content from more than one country's store may complicate the process of updating apps and downloading past purchases.

  • Getting .swf into to Device Central.

    Hi all,
         I'm using flash CS5.5 (trail version) and want to export a movei file out to device central to test acceleromoter settings.
    When creating the file I : selected air fro andiod, made these changes to the publish settings : set upa  certificate, tick all permission (as it kept telling me they hadn't been set) and then click ok.
    For some reason under control > test movie > device central is greyed out. If i try to open the .swf file directly in device central it just tells me the device has the wrong version of flash.
    Any ideas? I selected the file type as andriod?, preferably would like just to be able to click on test moving in device central.
    Thanks for any advice. Rob
    Used this code :
    import flash.sensors.Accelerometer;
    import flash.events.AccelerometerEvent;
    import flash.utils.Timer;
    import flash.events.TimerEvent;
    import flash.events.Event;
    var Acc:Accelerometer = new Accelerometer();
    Acc.setRequestedUpdateInterval(50); // Set the time interval to check for acc update
    // VARIABLES //
    var startapp:int;
    // MAIN CODE //
    Acc.addEventListener(AccelerometerEvent.UPDATE, onAccUpdate);
    function onAccUpdate(event:AccelerometerEvent):void{
    test1.x -= (event.accelerationX*10);

    Don't choose AIR for android, Just with the player targeted to FP 10 and ActionScript3 as the scripting version you can test with the device central

  • Flashlite 3 - cs3 device central update crashing :(

    Hi all,
    I've just installed flash9_en_us_9_0_2_update and
    AdobeDeviceCentralAll_Patch.dmg (osx). So I can now publish to
    Flashlite3. However, I have a flash file which runs fine in device
    central when exported as Flashlite2 but when I try to export it as
    Flashlite3 (using any of the adobe generic flashlite3 profiles) it
    begins to run in device central but then device central crashes
    (quit unexpectedly) :(
    I don't suppose anyone here has any ideas what might be going
    wrong?

  • Does Device Central accepts input from Flash Catalyst?

    I'm a newby, and thinking of buying CS5. But I first want to know if I can check in Device Central if the SWF's and RIA's from Catalyst function properly on all kinds of phones.
    Is that possible??
    Gr Willem

    Flash Catalyst produces content based on Flash Player 10. So only phones that are capable of displaying Flash Player 10 or higher content could run the project in their phone's browser. Currently the Flash Player 10.1 plugin for mobile is in beta. For more information on that visit http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/Flash_Player_10.1_for_Android
    My Android phone has not been upgraded to FroYo, so I can not test this. Given the nature of mobile development and the current weight of the Flex Framework, I would not recommend this as a solution for anything other than initial proof of concepts.
    Hope that helps!
