Device database mismatch
I am having a little problem with auto registering my 7941G phone. I am getting error messages on event viewer like "device database mismatch". The Call Manager is 4.1(3). Any idea?
thanks.
Pete
You will need to install the latest Device Pack (25.3) found here:

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Can I completely reset /clear the bluetooth subsystem / device database?
I have a Canon MP600 printer/scanner and connected a bluetooth dongle to it (the official Canon part) for the first time today. Unfortunately the user guide omits a few important details and the net result is that both a Mac Pro (early 2008, BT module included) and Macbook Pro (~late 2006, Leopard upgraded) appear to have become very confused about what to do with it.
Initially, contrary to its documentation, the printer ships with bluetooth security turned off. So, my Mac Pro connected to it happily without requesting a passkey and I printed a test page OK. The laptop wouldn't see the printer, though; it seemed that without security features turned on, the printer would only allow one computer to connect. I dug around in the printer's settings (it has an LCD screen so you configure it on-device), found the security option, enabled it and set a passkey (a 4 digit number in this particular printer's case).
Using bluetooth preferences on the Mac Pro, I removed the printer from the device list, then re-ran the setup assistant. It saw the printer, immediately recognising its name (the first time ever, the machine showed the address first, then the name a while later). It prompted for the passkey at the "gathering information" stage. In bluetooth preferences, the printer icon was showing 'Connected' status. At the "To complete the set up..." stage of the setup assistant, I named the printer, clicked on Continue, and watched the printer status suddenly change to not connected. The setup assistant re-showed the "To complete the set up..." page; I set the same name again; this time, I was taken to a page saying "You did not configure any of the available services for your Bluetooth device". Huh?! Extended information on the device in BT preferences says says that it's configured and paired, but not connected. Searching for the error message on Google produces literally no hits, which is a rare thing indeed.
Worse still, the laptop now does exactly the same thing. I've even tried turning off security entirely on the printer, power cycling it and rebooting both machines, but now neither will properly talk to the printer ever again. They just flicker through these strange "Not connected -> connected -> not connected" cycles and refuse to proceed with the obscure "You did not configure..." message.
Given that the Mac Pro successfully printed via this printer at least once, I should be at least able to get the thing to work again with security settings turned off (inadvisable though this is). But Leopard refuses. It's caching some data about the printer somewhere and this is screwing things up.
So, the short part of my very long question is: How do I totally reset the bluetooth software and/or hardware subsystem / device database so that it has no "prior knowledge" or expectations of devices which it detects?
Many thanks.Replying to my own message for the sake of search engine archives.
I have not found a way to reset/clear the 'knowledge' that the Bluetooth system seems to keep of devices once it's talked to them, or, therefore, a solution to the strange Bluetooth setup assistant behaviour. Curiously, though, the 'not connected' issue with the printer doesn't seem to stop it from being printed to.
Having rebooted a few times, I printed a web page accidentally (! - I meant to save as PDF from the print dialogue box) and the device brought itself on line, received the data and printed, then dropped offline again. So it seems to be working fine. My guess would be that the online/offline behaviour is actually a normal feature of the way this particular device works, while the strange setup assistant behaviour is its way of saying that the device is already set up and working so it has nothing else it needs to do. -
Sudden hotsync "device database version is incompatible" error
I have a Sprint Treo 755p with software version 1.07. Desktop is 4.1.4.
Hotsync has been working fine for 6 months. Suddenly yesterday I started getting "The device database version is incompatible with this conduit. Doing nothing" in my hotsync log (see below for log result) . Contacts are synchronizing, memos have disappeared, and calendar is not synchronizing. After attempting to synchronize the 755p soft resets. It also soft resets when I do a string search and while it is searching the calendar. This may have all started yesterday when I sent a text message. The message went then the phone froze. I haven't had any freeze-ups with this phone so I was surprised. I popped the battery, but after restart my text message history was gone.
Did something get corrupted? I'd appreciate any advice.
OK Quick Install
VersaMail

- The device database version is incompatible with this conduit. Doing nothing.
OK Calendar
OK Contacts
OK Tasks

JohnNever mind. I deleted the following files Memodb and MemoDB-Pmem, hot sync'd and now I am able to get Memos to open. Guess I had something in the database that didn't jive.

Lync 2013 Database Mismatch Error
Hi
We are experiencing the following error in Lync 2013 after migrating from 2010:
Microsoft Lync Server 2013, Master Replicator Agent successfully registered with the back-end, but a schema or sproc version mismatch was detected.
The service will not start until this problem is resolved.
Database version: Actual = 10.8, Expected = 10.13.
Cause: Installation error.
Resolution:
Ensure both Microsoft Lync Server 2013, Master Replicator Agent and back-end were installed or modified by the same installation packageHi,
Have you moved the Lync Server 2010 Configuration Management Server to Lync Server 2013 successfully?
You could move the users back to Lync 2010 and reinstall database. You can refer to “Preparing Lync Server 2013 Front End Servers before moving the Central Management Server” in the following link:

Best Practice Analyzer database mismatch error
Hi all,
I am getting the following critical error when I run the BPA on a couple of our BizTalk servers and wondered if anyone had seen the same?
"The version of BizTalk Server does not Match the Version of BizTalk Management Database Schemas"
I am using v1.2 of BPA aagainst a BizTalk 2010 install.
This has only surfaced since we upgraded from BizTalk 2009 R2 BUT not on all of our environments.
It does not seem to be causing any runtime issues however as all applications seem to be running fine!!
Looking at the BizTalkDBVersion tables in SQL everything looks the same on servers which present this error and those that do not i.e. There is an entry for version 3.9.469.0 ... which matches the BizTalk Server version reported in the registry
at "\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\BizTalk Server\3.0\Product Version\"
The only thing I can see is that as this was an upgrade there is also an entry in the
BizTalkDBVersion tables for the 2009R2 version (3.8.368.0), so maybe the BPA is selecting this value and comparing against the regisrty version?]
However, this doesn't explain why I see this issue on 2 upgraded servers but not the 3rd?
Any ideas?
Regards,
DaveHi Dave,
There is no version as BizTalk 2009 R2. v3.8.368.0 refers to BizTalk 2009 (not R2).
The above error occurred because BizTalk Server Best Practices Analyzer has detected that the version of BizTalk Server does not match the version of the BizTalk Database Schemas. This can happen if the BizTalk database was deleted and then restored
with an incorrect database.
Check the version of SQL Server upgraded against the version of BizTalk server.

Error has occurred during an attempt to access a device database record
Model: Blackberry Curve 9360
I've updated Blackberry Desktop and Device software to the lastest version and I recently changed Outlook 2010 from 32bit to 64bit. Now I'm getting above error. It will not sync contacts/calendar/task one-way/two-way with device.Hi and Welcome to the Community!
There are actually several KB articles that contain that error message...I recommend you go here:
http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/microsite.do
and search using the error message...inspect the results to see if any apply to your situation.
Also make sure you are using a version of the BlackBerry Desktop Software that is compatible with OL2010x64:
KB12268Synchronization support for BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows
Otherwise I suggest this thread:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/Cleanly-quot-Starting-Over-quot-with-...
It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
Good luck!

Error when syncing contacts - An error has occurred when trying to access a device database record
I started getting this error while syncing. I narrowed it down to the contacts. If I sync just the calendar then it works fine. How do I resolve?
You could add your contacts in one by one (or a few at a time) on whatever you are syncing with (Google, MS, etc.) and try and catch which contact is causing problems when you sync.
If you've been helped click on , if you've been saved buy the app.

Have anyone tried to use raw devase base database?
I tried all teh documentation available but could not find
anything about this
If I tell Orecle to create a database on a raw device (like
/dev/sda6), it tries to erase the file. However it should accept
it I suppose. Mounting the device /dev/sda6 under a directory
doesn't help either. Is it normal behaviour and I am missing
something or raw device database structure is not implemented
under Linux yet?
Thanks in advance

Linux dosn't support raw devices. Oracle requires symbol
device but in Linux you have only block devices. Also access to
this devices is cached by OS.

What are your future component database plans?
I have been a longtime user of Multisim, Ultiboard, (and Ultiroute) power pro edition. This includes the PartMiner days before NI bought EWB. While component manufacturers commonly have component databases for use in the suites of your competitors, there never seem to be any available for your products. Now, access to these databases would save a lot of time. I don't use simulation a lot because you don't provide behavioral simulators, and my designs mostly include processors or controllers. Even Analog Devices' database, which advertises a Multisim and Ultiroute subset, won't load on my platform. Can you explain why you don't either digest the ORCAD datasets or pursuade Analog Devices, Microchip, TI, et al to provide multisim versions of their data?
I have long been a supporter, and am just seeking to make my life simpler.Hi Thomas.
When you say "MDM as Catalogue", which means utilizing the features available in SAP-MDM(Like Portal iViews) and use it as functionality provided for catalog solutions instead of going for SRM-MDM Catalog - correct me if my understanding is wrong.
If this is the case, then you can simply fetch the records available in the repository and showcase it using portal iviews and
use it for procurement solutions(for SRM-Shopping cart etc) using check out functionality.
But SRM-MDM Catalog is designed specifically for certain functionalities like showing different prices like Contract, Purchase Info records, List price etc which is not possible in portal iviews, Service Catalog for showing hierarchies, showing various types of item types(BOM, SK1, SK2, Components etc). Similarly there are some more features which is available in SRM-MDM Catalog which lacks when we use "MDM as Catalogue"
But still SAP can come up with more features if they have plans to bring up a common catalog solution for various solutions.
Hope this helps.

Oracle 9.2 RAC installation error on raw devices
During Oracle 9.2 RAC installation on Linux Red Hat 7.3 on raw devices

Really this file exists, this is a link to a raw device.
How does Oracle validate the raw file?
What does this error mean?

Really this file exists, this is a link to a raw device.OK, so you are saying that /dev/raw/clustdb_raw_cwmlite_100m is link to /dev/raw/raw<x> (x some number)??
If not - there is your error.
How does Oracle validate the raw file?File MUST exists (or link) AND it must be a RAW device.
You can check it by raw -qa (it should display all raw devices, with theirs major-minor pairs)

but i don't know how search "My" pci devices in solaris system.
is there some command?
please show me the way. (by simple code)
bye..The information is available in the output from the "prtconf -pv" command. Each PCI device is listed
with it's "vendor-id:" and "device-id:" property, as well as the "subsystem-vendor-id:" and "subsystem-id:".
Note also the value of the "compatible:" property, which is used by the solaris kernel to select a device
driver for the PCI device.

No matter what, I cant get the Device Selector to become active in Netbeans

The device address manager is set up
the nb-me-sdk-plugins-uc plugins have all been installed
the j2me platform has been installed under the "Java Platform Manager"
the customer device editor has been set up to simulate my raspberry pi exactly as in the video below
under Installed Plugins, Java ME is active

No matter what I do, I cannot get Tools->Java ME->Device Selector

I've spent the better part of the day trying to figure this out, and I've had no luck. What am I missing?
Vinnie
Edited by: vdipren on May 25, 2013 7:27 PMHello Alexander,
I also tried to install netbeans and Java Me, and got stuck on the same problem as Vinnie: the menu item `Device Selector` is grayed besides most other items in the same menu.
The grayed menu items in menu Netbeans/Tools/Java ME are:
WMA Console,
Java ME SDK Update Center,
Custom Device Skin Creator
Active Device Manager
The only one that is not grayed is: 'Device Database Search'.
I made sure the device_manager is running. You asked Vinnie to run emulator.exe from the commandline. I did and it outputs the help instructions.
I like to provide you with the log files, but how to do that? They are quite big! Dou you want me to paste the contens of the files in here?
Thanks for giving it your time.
