Device lock not working when put to sleep

I set up device lock with pw, but the only way it will work is when the screen is lock after time expiry. It does not work if I put device to sleep within the time set. For example, if i set "Lock Device After" to 5 mins, and I press sleep button within 5 mins, I could still wake device up by swiping without having to enter any pw.
I think this cannot be part of the design, right? This is a clear security loop hole or bug. Please help.

Auto Lock not working when connected to Macbook

Ive had my ipod for about a week and I thought auto-lock was working even when the ipod is connected to my computer.
But I just realized that the auto-lock is not working when it is connected to the computer.
Is this normal?
Also when I set the brightness to the lowest setting, the screen slightly flickers intermittently.

Do you have more than one IDM Server running in your environment? When you are debugging a WF on server A and the scheduler decides (usually after an approval step) to continue running the WF on server B, your debugger connecting to server A wouldnt stop at the breakpoint.
Can you make the debugger stop on e.g. the "start" or very first Activity in your wf? Right after launching it from the form.

Fingerprint login not working when resumning from sleep

Hello,
I changed HDD to SSD and did *fresh* install, not from rescue discs.
Everything is working as expected except except fingerprint login -- instead of logging I got an error:
The computer is locked. Only logged user can unlock it.

I got this error only when resumimng from sleep/hibernate, I can normaly use FPR when logging right after reboot or if I launch FPR software.
Software were installed via Lenovo System Update, nothing manually, using Lenovo Fingerprint Software v.3.3.2.27
Fingerprints are present from previous enrollment/installation.
Any help appreciated,

Looking over some of the fingerprint reader solutions on the lenovo support site, I saw that they Fingerpring Software for your machine, the T500 Win 7 64 Bit is at version 3.3.2.50. It may be worthwhile trying this update to see if it resolves your issue. Here is the document ID, DS012806, you can put it in the search field and it should pull it up for you. Pages Built from Template not working when put

I am building a site with CS3 and running it to test it on
onother site in a sub-directory - but, although the pages all work
as expected when viewed locally, some are totally blank when put on
the server - when I view the source they only contain;

Mail mac disconnected and not working when mac back sleeping

I have a problem with my mail app on imac and Mountain Lion installed.
when the mac goes in sleep mode, if the mail app was open,, on wake up all the accounts are disconnected and clicking the "connect the accounts" not working.
To fix it I have always to close and open again the mail app for connect the accounts.
With Lion this not happen.
Any help?

I have one other totally off the wall thought. OK educated guess, based on the fact that my day job involves writing file systems for other operating systems.
I have seen implementations where file timestamps are not written to disk until they absolutely need to be written. Until it is needed, the fact that the file has been touched is kept in memory.
Now I have only seen situations where it is the *Access Time* that is treated this way, NOT the *Modification Time*. The touch command modifies the Modification time by default. However, I do not know how the Mac OS X HFS+ file system deals with updating the on-disk timestamp values.
One thing you could try. Instead of using touch, use the date command redirected to a file on the target disk
0-59/12 * * * * date >/Volumes/MyHardDrive/.nospin.txt
This will give you verification of when the cron job last ran and do more than just touch the Modification Time on the file.
Or if you want a record of every time the cron job ran, change the > to >>
0-59/12 * * * * date >>/Volumes/MyHardDrive/.nospin.txt

Export html on muse and not work when put on a server

I created my portfolio website on Muse and exported as html. All is well when I view pages from the files I exported. When I uploaded it to a server my college provides, it shows up with this error message "Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect. Clear browser cache and try again. If the problem persists please contact website author." And all my design and pictures are either not there or all messed up. Help please!

Satellite U400-17R - Sound device is not working after installing XP

I purchased a U400-17R Model with Vista Home. i Formatted it and installed Windows XP Professional downloading the XP drivers from Toshiba site.
Everything works but my Sound Device is not working. when i check in the Device Manager the Sound Drivers are there and it says working properly.
I am Lost...Can anyone please help?

On Windows XP you have to install two patches from the Microsoft Knowledge Base for high definition audio cards. If you only have SP1 or SP2 you need the patches but if you have SP3 you dont need it because they are a part of SP3.
Both patches or SP3 must be installed *first* and then the sound driver. So if you have installed the sound driver first you must remove it and then install the patches again. After this it should work with the sound:

IOS 8.1 installed yesterday has spoilt my iPad 2! There are no keyboard, message or app sounds, performance is now sluggish, juddery and strange, battery is draining fast and it no longer security locks when put to sleep.

I have checked all the settings, done a number of resets and really wish I hadn't bothered and stayed with iOS 7 when it all worked like a dream. I thought that by waiting until 8.1, teething problems would have been fixed and I am just horrified that there is no going back! I am not the only iPad owner that has this set of problems so why didn't you warn us Apple! What are you going to do to help us? I do not want to be forced into buying a newer version of iPad because you broke this one!

In spite of the fact that you said you checked the settings, I still believe that you have system sounds muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center if you are running iOS 7. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.

AS for your other issues, have you done any other troubleshooting like resetting your iPad, resetting all settings or doing a complete factory reset?

Probably the intermittent problem that effects some users (including me at various times). It seems that Bluetooth fails to wake properly. The 'fix' that works for me is to go to System Preferences>Energy Saver and set 'computer sleep' to 'never'.

I had this problem on SL and on Lion as well, and it occures for WiFi and Ethernet connections.
In fact the internet connection was not broken as I could ping the destination usin the IP (not DNS name).
In this case the problem was related to mDNSResponder task which handles all dns queries.
It was the most frequent problem in my day to day work with SL and now Lion. It was never fixed by any patch from Apple. I tried almost all voodoo including fresh install, all possible config changes - no solution.
The only version with no problems related to network was 10.5.8. All the other versions had issues of different kind (WiFi instability (lost signal), DNS problems (for wireless and wired connection) sometimes associated with machine sleep and wake up and sometimes with no reason.
QUESTION: Is your problem independent of the access point / router you connect to.
I must say networking was (and still is) the weakest part, besides the other OS X weaknesses I experienced during 4 years of OS X usage.
No problems in the same network with Linux or Windows beeing ran natively on my iMac So hardware is OK.
Software is of poor quality. Not much more to say in this matter.
I found a very interesting article dated 1996 about programming which I think is still valid.

Hi there, since 4 months ago I've noticed that my a, q, 1, backspace, and volume buttons do not work when theres a little bit of pressure on or under it. It kind of bothers me because I cant lay in bed and do my things, I have to put it on a table. So my question is, why is this and how can I fix this?
5 or more weeks ago, I can't remember, my keys did suddenly work when there was a bit of pressure on / under it, but I don't know how..

What is your operating system? Reader version? How do you convert to PDF?
