Device manager error when trying to load applications

I've been using the Desktop Manager successfully for several years with my old 8703e. I finally upgraded to a Style 9670, and updated the Desktop Manager to v6.0.2.44. It syncs fine with the phone. However, when I go to work with apps, the DM tells me "The Application Loader Wizard requires the Blackberry Device Manager to be installed. Please contact customer support." I have rebooted, repaired, and done a full uninstall and reinstall of the DM, but the same error keeps coming up. I have worked on this all night, and am wondering if I need to return teh phone and opt for an Android. Can anyone help me, please?

Hmmm...maybe a totally clean start over? Here's a process:
I suggest the following steps (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista/Win7, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
Further, it has also been reported that when your user profile on windows (type 'echo %userprofile%' in the command prompt) contains spaces, then the installer will not work. In order to solve this issue, log out of your Windows account and log back in using the local Administrator account (or any other account name without spaces) and install the desktop (for all users).
1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM Desktop Software:

Some have reported that there are more registry keys to remove than are discussed in that KB...be sure to search your registry for any related to RIM
Others have reported the use of a registry cleansing tool to also be helpful
Still others have reported the use of your original PIM (e.g., Outlook, NOTES, etc.) installation CD, running the "repair" process, to be helpful in some situations
3) Get a fresh download of the RIM Desktop Software:

4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
5) Install the Desktop Software to your PC
6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
7) Start the organizer configuration over:

This problem seems to happen when several DART extraction jobs are running in parallel, and both jobs access table TXW_INDEX.
Solution
If possible, avoid running DART extractions in parallel.
If you do plan to run such jobs in parallel, please consider the following points:
In the DART Extract configuration, increase the value of the parameter "Maximum memory allocation for index (MB)" if possible. You can estimate reasonable values with the "File size worksheet" utility.
Run parallel DART jobs on different application servers.
As an alternative, please apply note 400195.

Bw problem/error when trying to load data

hi experts i suddenly have this issue when trying to load data anywhere in my bw system (psa,ods,infocubes) i get the following abap runtime error:
SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY
runntime error,short dump could not be written
and bellow that it generally says that SNAP is full and i need to create more free space
any suggestions what i should do?
ps.i ve tried the re-organize option and no luck, i need to take more drastic measures

Create an entry for MATCONV in the overview screen.
Double click on this line and set the length parameter for MATCONV.
the same transaction exists in the r/3 OLTP system compare the 2 systems to set the right values in the details screen in BW.

We are getting this error while trying to load BSAs. The profile option is set to always at the responsibility level,
The same code and settings were tested in lower instances and it went through fine

ASP app is throwing error when trying to load any of the Crystal Reports

The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw an exception.
A couple notes:yes, I did search for this problem, I've read (and have been confused by) the documentation both on MSDN and this site. I've never used Crystal within a .NET application that I've written, so please treat me like an idiot. I've got 16 hours in this issue and I can't figure out what to do. I don't want to go too far into what I have already tried; I'd rather start a fresh conversation with you (the kind person who is going to save me from death at the hands of my users).
My application was written in .net 1.1 by an outside source. Since then, other apps were installed on the same server that were .net 2.0 (don't know if this is relevant). Recently, we reformatted the server. When I dropped the application back into its former location and hooked it up to IIS, everything was fine except now we can't get any of the reports to load. We just get the error above, along with another that says "CrystalReportViewer - rptViewer Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
The same thing happens on both my Win 2003 app server and my XP SP4 development machine.

I was doing a side-by-side comparison of the new and old server (we backed up the server before the reformat) and I can see that, evidently, CR XI was installed. We have the directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0 and all the versions match what is located in the project's bin directory. Does this confirm that I did have XI installed and licensed at one time?
If I purchase a more recent version, couldn't I update the reports to use the newer version? I have all the source code.
Thanks for your help, it is a nice sanity check for me after hours of reading forums and documentation.
Also, just a shot in the dark, but I'm assuming it wouldn't do me any good to simply restore the aforementioned folder to my C drive? Would that work if I registered all the dll's?

To be clear, I do have VS 2003 & 2005, and I have the source code. I just have never used Crystal Reports in any of my .NET apps because the need wasn't there, so recompiling is not out of the question.

Also, I looked at the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll that was in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\Managed folder and when I right-click and view the properties, then the Version tab, in addition to the 11.0.9500.2 version number, there is a property called Product Version that has the value .NET. Does that mean that this dll was bundled with Visual Studio?
I also found this directory on the old server...does this tell you anything?

I did see that you can still buy XI from CDW. I have a call into them currently to check with Business Objects for any registrations from my company.

Getting Kernel32.dll procedure entry point errors when trying to load NI-IMAQ v2.6.1

Here is a copy of what appears in the Error Log:
Application popup: setup.exe - Entry Point Not Found : The procedure entry point GlobalGindAtomA could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.
I have also recieved the following:
Application popup: autorun.exe - Entry Point Not Found : The procedure entry point TerminatePsocess could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.
and:
Application popup: autorun.exe - Entry Point Not Found : The procedure entry point IsCadReadPtr could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.
FYI - software loaded onto a IDENTICAL machine (hardware) w/o difficulty.

Is the other machine "IDENTICAL" in terms of operating system, software, etc? Does the error occur when trying to acquire an image in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), as well as in your programming environment? Have you tried reinstalling the NI-IMAQ driver? Has this system always exhibited this problem, or are these errors a new phenomenon?

Error when trying to load jar file (loadjava)

I have been struggling with this issue for a few days. I read all the old threads and solutions online but none of them worked. I wrote some java stored procedures and have been trying to load the required jar files. The error message I keep getting is this:
ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: oracle.aurora.server.tools.loadjava.ToolsError: Error during loadjava: Failures occurred during processing. Check trace file for details
I have tried to load them using Enterprise Manager Console and the following:

Any ideas? We are using Oracle 10gr2, and trying to load Cognos 8.3 SDK jar files. According to Cognos, Java 1.4 is supported.

Sorry to respond to an old message, I was just looking for the solution for the totally different problem.
Key word 'Cognos' got me here.
I've menage to load Cognos SDK onto Oracle 10.2.0.2 on Windows XP.
I've used simple loadjava script. After that it requires some additional GRANTs, and it works.

Object not found in store error when trying to load MimeContent of an email (containing attachments)

This is a weird one and I'm hoping someone can reproduce this and give me some help.
We have a system that uses the EWS Managed API to send emails. Optionally an email may need to be saved out as an rfc822 (.eml) file afterwards for storing in our own database. In order to save to a file I need to load up the MimeContent of the message.
And this is where an "Object not found in store" exception can get thrown.
The really strange part is that the exception only seems to occur if the email contains an attachment and if there is too much of a delay between sending the email and trying to access the MimeContent!
My test code is something like:

On some systems it seems that the sending can take a while, hence my Thread.Sleep() call to simulate this.
Its when I try and load up the MimeContent that I will then get the exception. But ONLY if I sleep (simulating the occasional delay seen on customer sites) and ONLY if the email contains an attachment.
The mimecontent is necessary in order to save out to a file (by accessing the _item.MimeContetn property).
Can someone please explain the exception and/or provide a better way of doing this??

This is normal EWS doesn't return the Id of the Item in the SentItems Folder so you need to use a workaround like

If you want to understand the issue you can enable tracing and look at responses, the actually Id your trying to load the MimeContent from is probably the Id of the draft message. Eg to send a message via EWS with attachments multiple operations must be
used to construct it and when the messages finally gets sent the copy in the drafts folder is deleted and a copy is created in the SentItems folder. However the Id isn't returned for the SentItems copy hence you need the workaround.

Can you please check the permissions on the following folders and confirm if you have full Read & Write permission or not. If not, please give full permission and that should fix the problem.

4) /Utilities/Creative Cloud Desktop Application.

Oracle Planning gives error when trying to open application from Workspace.

We have version 11.2.2.0.0 of Planning installed. After the install of Essbase Studio Server we have hit some issues where Planning does not seem to be available. Despite re-deploying several times and other things, we cannot connect to the Planning server.
Planning does seem to be listening

Can see iTunes library, YouTube, movies etc but error when trying to load

Worked fine y'day- today I can see everything but when trying to access (play a downloaded show or song from iTunes library) I get an error message and to try later.
I rebooted iMac and unplugged Apple TV (2G) but getting the same message.
What gives? Just updated to iTunes version 10.2.1 btw.

I saw Peetza's thread- I get the same prompt ( "An error occurred loading this content") but unlike him (downloading a movie) i get this for everything I try to access using ATV2 (except Mobileme).

Error when trying to load

I have had CS6 loaded for ages but not loaded Dreamweaver as don't use it very much. Just gone to use it and have this errror come up on application start up and it won't load. I still have CS4 on mac and have the same error when I try to start up that as well!
Any ideas?

So you're saying neither version has a folder at...
Macintosh HD > your user name > Library > Application Support > folders should be here for both versions
If you are using the Finder to search for the folders, don't, you need to browse to them and you need to make sure you are in the Library folder (I seem to recall there being another folder in a different location on Macs that would come up for searches, I may be remembering wrong though).
If you are sure you are in the right location and the folders still aren't there, I would say a clean and reinstall would probably be needed at this point: Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

Internal Server Error when trying to load a movie

Before I visit a friend to solve a problem on her Mac (latest OS and QuickTime installs already done), perhaps you can offer tips on things to look for: Whenever she tries to load a movie file from the Web (either in Safari or directly in the QuickTime app), she gets a "500 Internal Server Error".
What should I be looking for?

Try a different browser such as Firefox to determine if the problem is with the QuickTime Internet plug-ins and their related settings. (You might also bring with you a functional copy of the plug-ins from your /Library/Internet folder as reinstalling QuickTime can sometimes be a bit of a hassle.)
Next, Try downloading the movie instead of playing it. In Safari, paste the url of the movie in the Safari downloads window. If it doesn't download, obviously, it can't play. (Assuming its not a stream rtsp:// url)
Next, pull QuickTime preference and plist files from /Library and her user Library folders, restart, then try again.
