In my 'apps with usage access' I see device monitor ticked by default. What would happen if I unticked it?

What is "Get More" in "Apps with usage access" in Android 5.1.1?

After upgrading to 5.1.1 I see that Sony has added something called "Get More" in the list of "apps with usage access" (you can find this list in the Security section of the phone settings).The apps in this list can monitor how you use the phone so I am not happy about something unknown being found in this list. So far I had "devicemonitor", "Google Play services" (disabled) and "STAMINA mode". Now there is a fourth entry "Get More" and I found it was already enabled.I see that this has happened on both my phone and tablet so it is definitely something Sony did during the 5.1.1 update. What is this "Get More" and why did it get the power and permissions to intrude on my phone usage without requesting my consent?

I have forgotten pass code for Guided Access and can not get of the App? I don't know what to do next? I have tried resetting by holding Home button and on/off for 10 seconds. What now?

If you continue to be unable to guess the passcode by brute force attempts, you can connect the device to a computer that has synced the device and unlock things with a sync.
If you have never synced with iTunes then you can try this:
1.Hold the Lock Button
2.Slide the Slide To Power Off slider [If touch is disabled/you're unable to slide it, do a hard reset — hold the lock and home button until the Apple Logo appears]
3.When your iDevices powers up, immediately exit the app that automatically opens.
4.Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access
5.Click Set Passcode
6.Enter new password
7.Reboot again.
8.Wait for the app to automatically open and Triple tap the home button
9.Enter the new password

App with '/' in title wont install

I am an iOS app developer. My app "PilotFAR/AIM" has been for sale in the AppStore for two years. With the release of iTunes 10.5 and iOS5 the app fails to install via iTunes Sync. iTunes syncs the file to the device then the device displays a message "install failed". The same app does install and run fine via the App Store app on the device.
Upon investigating I found that iTunes 10.5 is using the app title to construct the filename of the binary (.ipa file) that is copied to the device. For apps with a '/' in the title this is bad news because the '/' is a path delineator. Indeed the device console log shows the file copy failing due to this file naming issue.
This doesn't only happen with my app. I've noticed that other apps with the '/' in the app title have the same issue. I have confirmed this with one other app.
I've contacted Apple developer support, iTunesConnect support, iTunesStore support and no one can or will help me. They all point me to eachother saying they can't help.
Short of renaming my app I'm not sure what to do. What I want is for someone technical on the iTunes team to call or email me and confirm this is a bug in iTunes 10.5 and let me know if it will be fixed or not, and let me know what my options are.
I have lots of angry customers who cant install my app because of this (at least when they contact me I have the AppStore install workaround), and this is affecting my sales.

Somebody somewhere probably wrote a line of code to store apps on the store with full names and not laundering them to remove any no-no characters for the underlying Unix based system. Or maybe it is somebody who manages the database and not iTunes connect. I'd say of the 3 parties involved it was most likely somebody in iTunes connect, but without a developer ID and password I can't even get into their support site. The bottom line is, we in ASC have even less access to the developer people than you, and they are extremely unlikely to see your request here. I would contact them again with your issue but be very specific. Realize you may be trying to locate one person in Apple who is familiar with the thing that is causing the issue and not even other people in their department will know to that detail that is what they do.
The only thing I can do here is request a ASC host look at this topic and maybe they have coffee with the iTunes connect person, or something.

When you have 2 apple IDs with apps: How to access all apps on a device?

I couldn't use my newly bougt IPhone because for some reason I wasn't allowed to use my old Apple ID. I got help from an Apple Chat-service (which I can't remember how I found...) with creating a new Apple ID, but where's my previous purcases? I had a ton of apps on the old ID, how do I transfer them to the new one? I've bought some apps with the new one, but it seems like I must delete all my previously bought apps to access the new ones if I want to sync with my laptop (can't sync with two libraries on PC)... It would have been so much easier if I could just merge the IDs completely...

I found out that I can download things from App Store on the iPad from a different ID that is used to sync with PC. But it would have been nice to just have one ID for all, plain and simple. Merging of acoounts should be possible, this would make shopping much less complicated for users who have to use several IDs.

So the menu bar reads iChat, File, Edit, View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ? (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
Type in:-
~/Library/Preferences
Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

How do I monitor the Band-width usage with my RV 120W?

We are having an issue with accessing our SharePoint Sites over the Web and Microsoft Technicain wants us to capture band with usage. I am trying to findout if that is possible with the RV 120W. I have looked at the documentation and cannot find any info on doing this type of analysis.

Itunes was deleted? Or your itunes library was deleted?
If it was just itunes, then your music should still be there. Just reinstall itunes.
Otherwise just use your backup copy of your comuter to put everything back.

One day they were just gone and couldn't sync back on. I used to think it was a syncing problem, but it is storage. I have done a hard restart. I have deleted some junk from "memory". I have tried to "clean up" my iPad, but I am missing a ton of space. Is there a trash can that I need to empty? Are my movies still stored but inaccessible? I have read forum posts about an "other" category in stoarge which I don't see on my iPad. Not sure what else to try.

Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
An "other" larger than aboutn 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

Every time that I tried to open it, in diagnostic and use create some files, in special one named LatestCrash-WifiSurvey.plist, this one generate an incident identifier E73B0164-CDFA-4E9E-839E-A0C021BD17A2, but this incident identifier change every time that I tried to open, the last incident identifier is: DE600EB3-AB57-4C33-8DE8-71F6788A7441.
After of it, I checked that the app had a new version available for downloading, I took a backup of my ipad and then upgrade this app, but is the same problem, all I want is to save the projects I had in this app, I´m afraid that if I delete this app and re-install it, probably I loss my projects.

Something that called my attention is part of the log that shows a big CPU processing, but the strange thing is I killed all applications.

If you haven't already, do Settings > iCloud and turn off Find My iPhone. You will have to supply your Apple ID and password.
Then do Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings to make the iPhone appear as if it just came out of the box.

Select Apps in iTunes sidebar. A list of all your apps should be displayed in the main window. At bottom right of the window is a Check for updates button. Click on it, then click to download the updated apps. It's also possible that iTunes checked for updatedin the background, in which case the check button will already display how many updates you have.

Can you share specific apps with other devices under same Apple ID? ...or do you need to enable he sharing of all apps that have been downloaded under that ID?

My family has multiple devices under one apple ID. I want to share only certain apps with certain family members. Is it possible to limit what apps are shared with which devices or do I need to share all of the apps that I download for personal use?

Thanks. I turned off the automatic downloads on the new devices (minis), but when I go into the app store I don't see any of the apps I have bought (for my original iPad) under "purchased". I was thinking that this was the logical place to find those apps that I want to download to the new devices. What am aI missing?
