  • IOS5 Update causes Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
I did an iPad1 IOS5 update and on the reboot could not get iTunes to recognize my iPad.
I did all the recommended troubleshooting to no avail. So I called this morning and while on hold I put my password back on my device just as before and BAM iTunes now recognizes device and is doing my restore.
So if you do a backup of your device before the update and you have it password protected, it won't recognize the device until you go through and setup a new device and put your password back to what is was before, then BAM you're good! Good Luck and hopefully you won't have to spend the day I did figuring this out.

  • IOS : Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

During the update from my ipad from ios7.02 ==> 7.03 update stopped .
I recoverd the ipad via an another PC
after update itunes didn't reconize ipad; iphone and ipod
i followed several times the procedure : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538?viewlocale=en_US
    result is still the same
the aonly thing that i didn't succeeded is the remove of following map after deinstallation the Apple Programs ( in the right order)
In most cases, removing iTunes and its related components from the Control Panel will remove all supporting files belonging to those programs. In some rare cases, files may be left behind. After following the previous steps, you should confirm that the following files and folders have been removed. If any are left behind, remove them now:
    C:\Program Files\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\
    C:\Program Files\iTunes\
    C:\Program Files\iPod\
can someone give me a definitive and proper solution?
    thanks

  • IPhone 5 stuck in recovery mode. Not recognized in iTunes for Windows

    Hi,
My iphone 5 stuck during update to 8.2. It is now frozen in recovery mode, showing a 'connect to itunes' screen. The problem I have is that (the recently upgraded to 12.0.1) itunes is not recognizing my device. I have tried all of the suggestions here: iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch not recognized in iTunes for Windows, to no avail. I have not removed iTunes and reinstalled to test that, as I am concerned this will destroy the backups of my phone - which I will now desperately need once the phone is recovered.
    Has anyone got any suggestions?
    Cheers

    Hi AmberX92,
If you receive an error 3194 when attempting to restore your iPhone, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build"
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • IPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for PC

My iPad is no longer recognized in iTunes.  This for a PC.  Occurs even when connected by cable.  WiFi sync was stopped and then this started.

Try iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support.

  • My iphone is not recognized in itunes for windows

I have followed the directions from apple support.  Uninstalled & reinstalled itunes, everything the page said to do & my phone isn't recognized in iTunes and it comes up as unkown device in windows.  Any suggestions?

If you went through items 1-6 at the bottom of the article and they didn't help then try uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components by following this article exactly: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 (removing all components in the order specified).  (I know you mentioned that you uninstalled iTunes but I wasn't sure if you followed this article or not.  If not, try it again following this article.)

  • IPhone 4 not recognized in iTunes for Windows 8.1

I am using Windows 8.1 and the computer recognizes the device but not iTunes. I have tried deleting and re-installing iTunes as well as the device manager, but neither solution has fixed my problem. Any help is appreciated!

To Helpware, THANK YOU for keeping me from throwing out my Iphone and buying something else!
I can confirm that this also works on the Iphone 3GS with Windows 8.1.
Note: just uninstalling and reinstalling Itunes did NOT work for me. As this answer says, you need to unistall the Apple Device Driver too.
    Thank you again!

  • TS1538 My iPhone 5s is not recognized in iTunes for Windows

Last night I downloaded the latest version of iTunes and since that time I have been unable to sync my phone with my HP computer.  I have tried all suggestions in the help section and it still will not sync.  What should I do next?

I had the same problem ,  Just remove itunes and related components from the control panel. it worked for me.
I got that information from apple support.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.

  • IPhone not recognized in iTunes for Windows Vista

So, I have the iPhone 4 and I have only synced it once in iTunes about 2-3 months ago. I went to sync it again and now iTunes won't recognize it as a device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and restarted my computer, checked my USB ports and my phone is fully charged and it still won't work.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thank you!!

    RogerioNT,
Which USB port are you connecting it to?
iPhoto will transfer over a USB 1.1 connection, and many hubs are USB 1.1. Try connecting the iPhone directly to the back of the computer.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • IPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows

before you point me to the "official" article, let me tell you, i've tried all that. it didn't work. i have a 4th gen iPod, with the latest software update. every time iTunes has told me that it doesn't recognize my iPod, i have restored it, and it worked just fine. this has happened at least 3 times in the past week, and it's really upsetting. also sometimes when i open iTunes, it freezes, and does this at least 3 or 4 times, and when it finally works i get "Unkown Error (-42408)" or something like that, and after that, i'm told my iPod isn't recognized. what the heck is going on?

now it's working? i just went to Store>Authorize This Computer and "authorized" it, even though it is already, then i plugged in my iPod and it magically works. ?????
