Device profile settings

Have now done 3 tv resets to try and get this to work whilst attempting to set up cloud. Agreed to terms and conditions etc but then the screen seems to freeze when it comes to "device profile settings" . Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

That's OK now... Day after I had pop up for software update and I update it and I adjusted profile settings. The number is OK, its produced for German market and it's the same as 50L4300U ( your model ). But still I have a flash player problem, kinda annoying.

  • How to use Device Profiles and Viewing Conditions Profile in Photoshop Elements 11?

In trying to get to grips with the Colour management aspects of PSE11, I have encountered the following problems:
Having selected "Display" a sequence of clicks (Change display settings -> Advanced settings -> Colour Management -> Colour Management tab -> Colour Management)
gives a screen which includes the headings:
Device Profile  and Viewing Conditions Profile.
    1. Device Profile. Besides sRGB and ARGB, the profile list includes the profiles for all of the Epson papers. (I have an Epson Stylus Photo PX810FW).
I changed the Profile to an Epson Grayscale, this was accepted within the menu, but there are no changes from normal when I viewed the image on the Windows screen or within
PSE11. ("normal" is sRGB or ARGB).
I thought it worth a try to test that, if I wanted the display image to closely represent what I would get on a particular Epson paper, this may be a way to do it.(I suspected this approach because I have never
    seen it in the literature!).
So what is the purpose of all of the paper Profiles appearing in the Display listing?
    2. The Viewing Conditions Profile has also several options. I have tried to find the criteria for choosing one rather than the other, but failed to find any information. Can anyone help? I seek general guidance
rather than the details of the Profiles.
    As a seperate question:
Selecting Image on the PSE11 menu across the top of the displayed image, and then Convert Colour Profile, I tried this process on an image, converting tiff to sRGB. When saved there was an extra asterisk in the saved title but in this case,
the file was still labelled tiff and there was no change in the number of Mbs. If a conversion has taken place, how is one to know?  Does saving a tiff file as jpeg change its colour profile? When is it useful to use this feature?
    Many thanks to all responders!

Addressing your second question, you are confusing two different things.
tiff is an image file format, as is jpeg, as is psd, as is png, as are dozens (if not hundreds, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_file_formats) of other formats.
A colour profile represents the colour characteristics of devices so that, for example, displays know how to display the colours, printers know how to print them.
Image files MAY, but do not have to, contain colour profiles.

  • CUCM 10.5: User Device Profiles provisioning possible?

Recently we've Upgraded our CUCM Cluster from 8.6.2 to 10.5 to gain some new features. In the feature list there is a lot of stuff for provisioning and making admin things easier. Right now, if there is a new employee in our company, we manually create the specific UserDeviceProfile for this user and make the settings needed, but it's more or less some standard procedure, which in my opinion, can be created by a template for example.
The phones itself will still be manually created as we need to assign the company logo to the background, installing certificates and stuff like that, which can't (can it be?) be done remotely.
In 10.5 I've seen that under "User Management - User/Phone Add" there are some points where to define different templates. So is there any way in automatically create the user device profiles, for example if the user has been created in the MS Active Directory with the proper filds (ipphone, name, ...)? I haven't found a manual for this scenario (just for the self-provisioning with IVR, which I don't want)
    Thanks in advance :)

We are experiencing the same issue in our organisation.  Is this simply a limitation of the Self Care Portal?  If so, is it on the roadmap to support configurations with multiple Remote Destination Profiles in the future?
    Error message attached.

    John.

  • Device Profile Default Problems

I am trying to create a default device profile for extension mobility for a 7961 phone. It is not in there. I see 7960s and 40s but I dont see any 41s or 61s. Any body run into this?

    Hi Justin,
    You should be able to create "default device profiles" for 7941's and 7961's, have a look;
With Cisco CallManager 4.0 or later, you configure a clusterwide device profile default for each model of Cisco IP Phone that you want to support Cisco CallManager Extension Mobility. The phone takes on the device profile default whenever a user logs in to a phone model for which the user has no user device profile.
To add a device profile default for a phone model, perform the following procedure.
    Procedure
Step 1 From Cisco CallManager Administration, choose Device > Device Settings > Device Profile Default.
The Device Profile Default Configuration window displays.
Step 2 Click the Add a New Device Profile Default link. From the Device Type drop-down list box, choose the device (such as a Cisco IP Phone) to which a profile gets created.
Step 3 From the User Hold Audio Source field, choose from the drop-down list box to specify the audio source that plays when a user initiates a hold action.
If you do not choose an audio source, Cisco CallManager uses the audio source that is defined in the device pool or, if the device pool does not specify an audio source ID, the system default.
Tip You define audio sources in the Music On Hold Audio Source Configuration window. For access, choose Service > Music On Hold.
Step 4 At the User Locale drop-down list box, choose the locale that is associated with the phone user interface.
The user locale identifies a set of detailed information, including language and font, to support users. Cisco CallManager makes this field available only for phone models that support localization.
Note If no user locale is specified, Cisco CallManager uses the user locale that is associated with the device pool.
Step 5 At the Phone Button Template field, choose the appropriate phone button template. The phone button template determines the configuration of the softkeys on Cisco IP Phones. Leave this field blank if the device pool contains the assigned softkey template.
Step 6 If the phone model supports the Cisco IP Phone Expansion Module 7914, Cisco CallManager displays the expansion module field.
    a. At the Module 1 drop-down list box choose one or zero 7914 14-button expansion module.
    b. At the Module 2 drop-down list box, choose one or zero 7914 14-button expansion module.
Step 7 To configure Multilevel Precedence and Preemption (MLPP) information:
    Step 8 Click Insert.
The device profile displays in the Device Profile Default pane.
Step 9 Click the Subscribe/Unsubscribe Services link to add the Cisco Extension Mobility service to this profile.
The Subscribe Cisco IP Phone services window displays.
Step 10 From the Select a Service drop-down list box, choose the service that you added in the "Adding the Cisco Extension Mobility Service" section.
    Step 11 Click Continue.
The window displays the service that you chose.
    Step 12 Click Subscribe.
The service displays in the Subscribed Services list.

  • Profile Settings

I just got the BB today and so far so good. I was wondering though, is there a way to edit the profile settings? For example, I would like to set it up so it vibrates and rings.
    Thanks.

Sorry to mention this option Vibrate and ring is not available in BlackBerry device. BlackBerry can have 3 options - Tone, Vibrate and Vibrate then Tone. However, javec manetioned about a 3rd paty application which could do the trick from you. Check the apps http://www.mobihand.com/product.asp?id=19664&n=VibAndRing

  • Get device profile

    Hi,
Just wondering if it is possible to get device profile given any device criteria. I have only found getDeviceProfile in AXL which requires a profile name. I have not found any table relations in the documentation, for the SQL route, either.
My scenario is I have a list of devices and I want to get a device profile for each device to determin who has logged in and what the current directory number for the device is (for hotdesking purposes)
    Many thanks for your time,
    Ben

Device Profiles are stored in the device table. E.g. you have your autogenerated device profile (generated when you enable extension mobility and select "use current profile") - named ADP + MAC Address of the phone. The user device profiles are also in there, and named as they are in the appropriate ccmadmin pages (the same name you need to plug into getDeviceProfile).
However, if I understand what you want to do correctly, you're going the wrong route. The extension mobility API allows you to query who is currently logged into a phone. From that, you can get a list of deviceProfiles for the user (getUser command), and from that you can get getDeviceProfile. If the user has multiple profiles, you can then look at the directory numbers on the profile, and compare them with the directory numbers currently on the phone to pick the proper profile (or if all profiles have the same DNs, you need to find a uniquely distinguishable property between profiles... and search for it on the current phone (getPhone).
There's no record which device profile is currently applied on a certain phone.
CCM 5.0 and above have the notion of a default device profile - which you can extract via SQL, but there again, there's no direct way to identify which profile has been loaded onto a phone.
I suspect EM works as follows: once you log in, it saves the current phone settings in the ADP + MAC address device profile in the device table, then loads the selected device profile, and applies all the settings to the phone config (the SEPxxx entry in the device table), then the phone restarts, and voila, you're logged on. When you log out again, the settings from the ADPxxx profile are loaded and re-applied to the phone. That would also explain why it's not possible to make modifications while somebody is logged in (not that it's technically impossible.. it's just not as straightforward because a lot of parameters that will show up when you access the phone actually belong to the user's device profile, and not to the phone itself).
AXL also has two parameters, the loginUserId and ownerUserId parameters for getPhone.. the former is which user is currently logged in, so that's the alternative to using the EM service to query which user is logged into a specific phone.
Or, you do it via SQL, the query is as follows: select LoginUserid from device where name = '" + deviceName + "'"

  • GoPro Camera Raw Lens Profile settings not working for image sequence in Photoshop/AE/Premiere CS6

    Hey Everyone,
I'm in need of assistance in either Photoshop CS6, After Effects CS6, or Premiere Pro CS6.  I just installed the trials after seeing Russell Brown demo the GoPro Lens Profile correction feature in Camera Raw.  Basically what I'm looking to do is make adjustments (in Adobe Camera Raw) to a series of still images (shot with the time-lapse mode on the GoPro) and then either export those stills through Photoshop or Bridge to a temporary movie file that will be imported into a timeline (with other video clips), or import the JPG files (with Camera Raw settings) directly into After Effects or Premiere as an image sequence.  The latter would be preferable as it'd avoid the extra step of having to render the intermediate/temporary movie file.
Right now, my current workflow for GoPro time-lapses is:
              - use Bridge CS4 to do basic color correction on the still images
              - save those as TIF files
              - run the TIF files through a custom script to have Hugin 2012.0.0 (open source pano stitcher) remove the fisheye distortion
              - open the new TIF image sequence into QuickTime Player 7 (Pro)
              - export the image sequence as a QuickTime movie file
              - import the movie file into Premiere Elements 10 to place on a timeline with other video clips (as Premiere Elements can't handle the sequence(s) of thousands of still images without crashing)
If I can go directly from Bridge to a timeline, it'd save a lot of processing time (and it'd be much nicer to preview the images in Bridge without the fisheye distortion)!
I can prepare the GoPro JPG files through Adobe Camera Raw in Bridge CS6, though when I go to import the JPEG image sequence into Premiere Pro CS6 or After Effects CS6, none of the Camera Raw settings are applied.  If I export the Camera Raw files in Bridge CS6 as DNG files (a step I'd really prefer to avoid) and then import the DNG image sequence into After Effects CS6, the Camera Raw settings are applied except for the Lens Profile settings -- I can pick other cameras but not the GoPro lens profiles when the DNG image sequence loads in After Effects.  It also appears that once I open the DNG files in After Effects CS6, I can no longer access the GoPro Lens Profile in Adobe Bridge CS6 -- the list changes to the same list I get in After Effects.  Premiere Pro CS6 doesn't let me import the DNG files at all.  I've also tried to import the JPG files (as well as the converted DNG files) into an image sequence in Photoshop CS6, though it doesn't allow me to do so (the Image Sequence checkbox is grayed out after I apply the Camera Raw settings in Bridge).
There could be an issue going on with different Camera Raw versions.  I didn't have Premiere Pro CS6 installed during my initial testing, though now do notice that the Camera Raw dialog in Bridge CS6 only lets me choose compatibility up to "Camera Raw 7.1 and later" when I choose to export the files as DNG.  I thought Camera Raw 8.2 was an option there a couple days ago when I only had installed Photoshop CS6 and After Effects CS6 (though am not 100% certain).
Please let me know if there is some workaround to get the GoPro lens profile Camera Raw corrections applied in an image sequence in one of the Adobe CS6 products (without having to export the files as temporary TIF or JPG files out of Camera Raw).  I'd greatly prefer to shorten my current workflow for these files.  (I just updated the CS6 trials and have tested all three programs again though I still get the same results described above.)
Does Lightroom 5 have any option to export Camera Raw image sequences as movie files (or any other feature that might help in simplifying my current workflow)?  I can't install the trial right now as it's not compatible with OS X 10.6.8.  I'd consider upgrading OS X if I knew Lightroom 5 would do what I need, though am waiting for any potential color profile issues to be resolved in OS X 10.9.
I can open the image sequence in Photoshop CS6 if no Camera Raw settings are applied and then use the Lens Correction Filter to apply the GoPro Lens Profile settings, though I really prefer the Camera Raw interface in Bridge for tweaking image settings.  As soon as I apply Camera Raw settings to the first image, Photoshop CS6 grays out the image sequence checkbox.
If there isn't a way to take Camera Raw files straight from Adobe Bridge to a timeline, I may stick with my current workflow using CS4 and see what I can do to better automate some of the steps as the TIF export in Bridge, fisheye distortion removal in Hugin, and render in QuickTime Player all take quite a while.  I won't mind waiting for all the processing if I can set it and check back on it in later the next day when it's fully complete.  Is there a way to have Adobe ExtendScript execute an external shell command (i.e.: a command I could type into the bash shell in Terminal in OS X)?  If not, is there a way to call/run an ExtendScript script from the command line and pass a parameter to it that my custom script could use?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

Can you zip up a few of your GoPro images, upload them to dropbox.com and post a share link, here, so others can experiment with them, or do you mean this issue is global to all camera models?

  • Is it possible to separate call forward unregistered & busy on a device profile?

I've got the following situation cropping up a surprising amount at our site:
User has 2 jobs within our institution. Works 3 days a week on job 1, 2 days on job 2. Each job is billed to a different cost centre, and the user doesn't want to be getting calls for job 1 when they're supposed to be working on job 2, and vice versa.
As such, we've created them 2 device profiles. When they log into the phone at the desk of whichever job they're currently working, they get prompted for which profile they want to log in to. The other device profile (if still logged in to the phone on the desk of the other job) is then forcibly logged out.
When profile 1, for job 1, is logged in, but the user is already on a call, they want incoming calls to that extension to be directed to their voicemail (i.e. set Call Forward Busy [Internal|External] to send to voicemail). They can then check voicemail and follow up on the call as soon as they're off the current one.
When profile 1/job 1 is logged *out*, i.e. they're currently working job 2, they want incoming calls to job 1's extension to be immediately diverted to a colleage within the same job 1 team.
I thought I could do this by utilising Call Forward Unregistered [Internal|External], but this does not seem to be the case. When a device profile is not logged in to a device it seems like the busy trigger just gets treated as 0 so the value of Call Forward Busy is followed. I can't see any situation where Call Forward Unregistered is ever utilised if an extension is only associated with a device profile.
Is there any way to do what I want (without massively convoluted configuration on Call Manager)? If not, do people think this is worth raising as a feature request (or bug in expected behaviour) for later versions of Call Manager?
We're currently on CUCM 8.5, FYI, in case this is something that's already been updated in version 9 or later.

Some progress on second idea. Saved a copy of universal access plist with cursor set to large then set the cursor to small again. Replacing the plist file had no effect until I went into the UA pane and changed a setting at which point it must rewrite the file and refresh because the cursor size also changed at this point.
Tried the same again and restarted Finder, no effect. Also tried altering another pref pane instead with no effect. Need a way to force the computer to look at the plist files, no idea how though. :-)

  • Profile settings not saved when OS shuts down! :(

Hi guys! I'm a proud Mac convert but I'm having a little bit trouble with saving my profile settings. My Macbook was purchased in TX, my sister played with the settings for a while before it was shipped to me here in the Philippines. She just put it to sleep mode,so I shut it down, but when I tried to restart it, all the settings were set to the default - the desktop wallpaper, the dock size and magnification, my aliases, and even the library files I add to my ITunes I have to do all over again!
The files that I saved were not lost though, it seems to me that a new profile loads whenever I shut down the computer. I have verified that hunch when I saw multiple profile names under USERS (ComputerName1,ComputerName2, ComputerName3, ComputerName4, so forth and so on).
Is there something that I did wrong?
Macbook 2.0 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   Black Model

What you are calling "Profiles" are actually called "Users." And from reading your description more than one User has been setup on your MacBook. So it seems the issue is that you are logging into a user account other than the one you originally started using.
When you restart the MacBook does it automatically login to a user account or do you have have to type a password to login? If it is automatically logging in, then you need to determine which user account your sister was using when she sent it to you. Once you do that you can set the MacBook to automatically login to that account and ignore the others.
To set up automatic login go to System Prefs > Accounts and click Login Options. Click the "automatically log in as:" check box and choose the account from the pull down menu.
But before you do that you need to find out from your sister what usernames and passwords she applied to each user account. When you have that information you can login to each account and when you see your custom desktop you will know which account you were originally using and set that one for automatic login.

  • CUCM 9.1.1 ucmuser web sort order of controlled device profiles

    Hi !
Anyone has an idea, how the web interface for the users (ucmuser) does sort the controlled em device profiles ?
Or even better how to change the displayed sort order ?
Changing the order of controlled device profiles in the user configuration in ccmadmin does not change anything in ucmuser.
And the controlled device profiles in ucmuser seem to have no recognizable order at all, but the order keeps being the same,
regardless any changes we make in ccmadmin.
    Thanks

Help!  Just replaced the motherboard and now all the color profiles in photoshop are wrong....  Does anyone know the correct settings to choose in windows or to choose for the graphics card... it's an AMD Phenom II.  I open Adobe Bridge and immediately the previews lose their color which tells me this is not the correct profile the computer is telling photoshop...  can anyone help, please????

operating system is windows 7 and the monitor is profiled correctly.... and these are raw images, so no, cannot view in another program....  and they look the same in ps as in bridge.  however, i called adobe and they told me it sounds like a graphics card issue, so i'm going to amd's website to update and reinstall drivers.... not sure what else to do....

  • User device profile

    Hello,
    Scenario,
    7960 Phone:
extenion : 5555 it is on phone line
    partition: internal
    CSS: internal
User Device Profile created for user for EM by choosing 7960 device
extension : 5555 it is on user device profile line
    partition: UDP
    CSS: GSM
    Question:
when a user is logged in 7911 phone and when a PSTN users call 5555 the phone rings to a Phone line on 7960 but not on the profile where is logged in i.e 7911
    why like that???
    Thanks

Phone and DN CSS are concatenated when both are assigned, where the CSS applied to the DN on a phone has higher preference. The most typical case for applying both is "device/line approach" for building classes of restrictions where you assign routing CSS to the device (CSS with access to routing patterns) and then blocking CSS to the DN in order to block let's say international dialing. This approach allows you to considerebly reduce number of required paritions and CSSes in your deployment. For more details you can refer to UC SRND which describes it in great detail with examples and nice diagrams.

  • How do I recover my lost Firefox bookmarks and user profile settings?

I accidentally clicked on Remove all User Profile Settings, Bookmarks and blahblah when I uninstalled my Aurora and now my Firefox has no bookmark etc. I tried using Recuva as recommended from the other questions but it didn't help me at all. I do not have any backup either.

Will other recovery software help? Because I tried using GetDataBack and I found some files that are not named .sqlite but rather .sqlite-wal or .sqlite-shm. What are those?
