Device reboot

Hello,
It's approximately three months since I bought my Blackberry Q10 smart phone. I was working fine till the time I updated it with the latest software version. Only this morning I wake up to a new issue, my device is getting rebooted over and again by itself. Since morning it got rebooted more than 10 times. Also I have experienced a fall in device usage speed since software update, I mean applications load at a slow pace. Please help me to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

If the problem persist though you had reboot and use the phone without SD card, you need to wipe then. Make sure you backup your data through BlackBerry Link before you wipe because all your data will be erased. If still fail after wipe, you need OS Reload through BlackBerry Link.

If still no luck after those methods, you may claim a warranty from your carrier or authorized dealer where you bought the phone to get repair or phone replacement.

    i bought this bb curve 9320 on 15 Aug 2012 from mobile store, since then i'm facing this issue of ringer going off n device reboot all of a sudden, got this checked twice with redington service center, according to redington official software needs to be updated, but they are themselves are not sure whether it will solve my problem or not, infact they suggested to use the device on 2g mode only, have checked the version, it has a latest version installed i.e 7.1.0 bundle 1319.     Sorry for the problem you are having but as you know this is User Support Forums here user like you and us try to help each other.
    And regarding your problem we can try to help,Can you tell us How many Third party Applications you had installed in your device or you can try starting your device on safe mode   KB17877   and run for say 1 hrs to see if problem appear.If on safe mode those problem does not appear it means your Application ( if any installed ) are responsible .But if problem persist you can try Reloading your Device software by yourself to rule out any software.

    But if your problem reappear then I think best option is to Contact your Carrier for Warranty replacement or Repair.

  • Maps 3.0, N96, v30 Firmware, device reboots

    Just upgraded to Maps R3 having had no issues with the beta versions, and having driven it hard (Pun intended).
    Now, when using GPS navigation, the device reboots itself with no warning and no identifiable cause, except that I am using the GPS navigation features. usually it reboots after about 20-30 minutes of using navigation.
    Any thoughts?
    Device is an N96, V30 f/w, and I've checked for Maps updates recently. I'm using the UK maps, but also have France and US maps loaded as well (as I have planned trips).

    Have you installed applications in your phone?If yes, maybe this cause the crashes.Uninstall all your apps, and do a reset.
    Factory settings reset. In standby, dial *#7780# and the phone's security code (the nokia's default security code is 12345). This reset restores phone's original settings.
    Soft reset. In standby dial *#7370# and the phone's security code (the Nokia's default security code is 12345). Soft reset deletes ALL your phone's data.

  • Loss of authentication only solved by device reboot

    I am having a very strange issue with just one of my two 3TB MyBook Live units. When this single unit "goes gonzo", it refuses to properly authenticate any access whatsoever. That is, when I try to access any account directories on it, it prompts me for a username even though I had previously authenticated with it. When I put in the correct password, it refuses to accept it. Attempts to reset the password from the web interface are 100% unsuccessful. The only way to resolve is to reboot the device, whereupon the very next connection is automagically authenticated without requiring a password prompt. I would like to know if this is a known issue and if there is a resolution path available. This device has the latest firmware, which auto-installed itself on 2015-06-22. Also, it has a very annoying propensity for overheating at any temperature above 18 degrees. I need to have the aircon on 24/7, otherwise my inbox is deluged with reports of the device overheating, rebooting, and other alerts which are just filled with question marks (????????) where status is supposed to be auto-inserted. This unit recently passed a full analysis run without any issues. I don't mind having the aircon on, as my preferred temperature is between 16 and 18 degrees (I can't stand room temperatures above 22 degrees... I start sweating uncontrollably) but the unit appears to be particularly twitchy where temperature is involved. It is sitting about head-height halfway up a wall about a metre away from the aircon, with plenty of free space around it. My other 3TB unit? Right beside it, peachy keen and without a care in the world as long as the temp doesn't exceed 22-25 degrees. At which point it too will begin throwing eMail alerts and hissy fits. But it doesn't have that auth issue at all.

    Why don't you roll back the firmware using a manual update in SSH to the previous firmware.   Look on the forum for how to do this - trick the MBL basically.  Then turn off the auto update for firmware. Then get some USB fans and place them under the MBL to cool them.  SInce i put two 80mm fans under mine, i've never had any problems with heat, looping, rebooting, etc.

    i have encountered it numerous times that my bb9860 will reboot by itself and will notice that the device time would somehow be on year 2037 or even more advance.
    that solution that i apply for this is to delete the sms messages and do the basic of pulling out the battery and put it back again...then it will work but after some time same issue will happen again.
    hope there's a way for this not to happen anymore.

  • Device reboot via CLI template in PI1.3

    Hi together,
    Is there any possibility to force a device (e.g. a switch/router) reload via Prime Infrastructure 1.3?
    I tried using a simple reload command via cli template, but it doesn't work for me.

    Did you get anywhere with this?  I want to do something similar, configure just some port, not all ports.  Prime seems to work by deploying templates to device groups, but I want it to deploy by device and port groups.  Sadly it seems port groups are just monitoring filters only.
    There only appears to be 17 DB variables in Prime at the moment and none of them are interface description.
    I don't know if you can edit the CLITemplateDbVariablesQuery.properties file to add some more.
    I don't understand why the port of port groups isn't available to configuration deployment.

    The H264 stream comes from a drone, no IDR frame, and may contains some error data in it.
    I save a all black IDR frame and decode this frame before every time begin the stream decode.
    Crash steps:
    1. get sps and pps from h264 stream, use CMVideoFormatDescriptionCreateFromH264ParameterSets to create a CMVideoFormatDescriptionRef
    2. use VTDecompressionSessionCreate to create a VTDecompressionSessionRef
    3. use VTDecompressionSessionDecodeFrame to decode the pre-build all black IDR (contains 7~8 NALU with slice data in it).
    4. use VTDecompressionSessionDecodeFrame to decode frames in stream. (each frame contains 7~9 slice in different NALU, can use ffmpeg av_parser_parse2 to build the frame).
    5. when decode some frame with error data in it, VTDecompressionOutputCallbackRecord return with a error status code -12909 etc., decode the all black pre-build IDR again and continue docode the stream.
    after running for sometimes (VTDecompressionOutputCallbackRecord returned error and decode the pre-build IDR, about 100~200 times). iPhone 6/6+ 8.1.2 dead and auto restart.

  • Q10 stuck at reboot after software update - PLEASE HELP

    Hello
    I was checking for software updates for my Q10 yesterday and was informed that there is a new update
    I clicked on download and install, and it asked me to reboot when it was done. After that it loaded very slowly until it reached 99% 6 hours later and it remained like that for 12 hours
    What I did this morning was remove the battery and sim card and I reinserted the battery, the same thing happened again and it is moving very very slowly
    Can you please help?? I would rather find away in which I do not loose my BBM contacts since I have not backed up my phone...are the contacts stored on my blackberry ID or will I loose them if I reset the phone?

    It finally powered on after 3 battery pulls, but now it does not make or receive calls (((
    Everytime I connect it to blackberry link it says software update available, so I clicked on install, it said downloading update and then nothing happens, the download bar becomes full then nothing changes
    I also tried to reload device software, i got a message saying checking repair software and it stayed like that for 3 hours then the device rebooted but nothing happened at all
    I even tried redoing the software update from the phone itself 3 times, everytime it would say update successful but the phone would still not make or receive calls
    Please help I dont know what to do....could the problem with blackberry link be that im using it on a mac??

    Hi,
    I changed the PRimary SMTP address for bulk users.  There mobile devices still work and e-mail gets sent out there new-email address, but there phones still s how there old e-mail address.  So when they reply to all it CC's themselves because it
    see's them as a different e-mail address.
    Is there anything that can be done with out re-activating the devices?
    We are running Exchange 2010 SP3 RU1

    Is it happening on all smart phones or specific versions  EXAMPLE:(apple ios,andriod .etc.,)
    Run testexchangeconnectivity and see the output and check any errors reported 
    Disable the sync schedule on the device, reboot the device, re-enable the sync schedule and see the results for one affected device

  • USB devices all of a sudden no longer recognized in windows 7

    Hi,
    I am using a HP Pavilion Simline s5550nl edition with windows 7 home premium (64-bit) since 1.5 years. Never had any problems until 3 days ago. Since 3 days suddenly some new devices, already plugged-in devices and previously used devices are no longer recognized (USB-device not recognized-error after plug-in).
    I used an USB-mouse, USB-keyboard, Smartcard-reader, Sony Story 1.5TB External HDD, USB WebCam. They al worked fine.
    3 Days ago I bought a WD Elements 2 TB External HDD. After plugging in, it was not recognized at first. Replugging it in it was recognized, but trying to open the drive in Explorer, it gave a not-formatted-error (while the disk should have been pre-formatted for Windows 7). However, i tried to format the disk, but it could not reach it any more. After rebooting the system the WD elements HDD gave the USB-device-not-recognized-error, using all other USB-ports didn't change that. In fact my Sony External HDD was no longer reachable either. Unplugging and replugging it in gave the same USB-device-not-recognized-error. Trying previously flawless working USB-devices all gave the same USB-device-not-recognized-errors (USB-flash disk 4GB, External HDD 2.5inch 160GB, USB-/card reader HUB, iPhone).
    I then tried to connect my Sony and WD external HDD on my other computer with windows XP SP3. They were recognized within seconds and working fine (also the WD elements External HDD indeed turned out to be pre-formatted).
    Strangely enough my USB-mouse, USB-keyboard and smartcard-reader kept being recognized at plug-in. Furthermore, my printers (connected over LAN) and NAS (connected over LAN) were usable without any problem. I did not encounter any other problems in functionality of windows. I then thought it might be a corrupted general USB-driver for mass-storage or something, so I started to google this problem. Things I have done so far (before each step I unplugged all USB-devices, rebooted and reconnected the devices):
    - Turning computer off, unplug power-cable for 2 minutes, reboot.
    - Updating BIOS to version 6.04 (was running version 6.02).
    - Uninstalling all USB-devices/mainhubs etc in devicemanagement, automatic reinstallation at restart.
    - Try installing newer USB-drivers for mainhubs, messages the installed drivers are already the latest.
    - Uninstalling all 'hidden' USB-devices.
    - Trying to go back to configuration of 1 day ago (maximum i could go back), resulted in an error that  the file might be corrupted.
    - Turning computer off, unplug power-cable overnight, reboot.
    - Running HP-systemdiagnostics: all passed.
    - Running Norman anti-virus scan (latest update): no infection.
    - Again uninstalling all USB-devices/mainhubs etc, automatic reinstallation at restart.
    I also noticed that during the night before this malfunction appeared (so actually several hours), on january 20th, an automated microsoft critical update was installed (some anti-spyware definition update). I am now thinking it might still be a driver-problem of some sort of general USB-mass storage driver or due to this microsoft update or maybe some clever virus.
    I no ordered a Recovery disk (never had to use one, so did not jet own one), to recover windows and if that doesn't help reinstall it. However I hope that anyone can bring up a solution that I am overlooking?

    OK, meanwhile I found that only uninstalling the USB2-driver enables the USB-ports again. Uninstalling it makes al devices recognizable, whil reintsalling it immediately makes all USB-devices unrecognizable.
    I tried updating the driver to the latest version, deleting it (after reboot an automated reinstall is triggered), but nothing helps. As if soething that stays in the system makes USB2 to corrupt USB-channeling or something.
    I strongly believe that it has something to do with the windows-update, but I can nowhere as a question about it to microsoft (will cost 70 euro's!).
    Does anybody knows what this could be? Or better: knows of a solution?

  • Apple TV not showing up in Airplay devices

    After reading some other discussions regarding similar issues with Airplay, I can't seem to find a working solution.
    I'm having trouble getting my Apple TV to show up as a speaker in Airplay on my iOS devices (iPad and iPhone 4). The strange thing is, it does show up as a speaker on my Macbook Pro in iTunes. From iTunes on my computer, I am able to stream my music to the ATV.
    Here's what I've tried so far:
    -Updated all the latest software for each device
    -Rebooting my devices, ATV and my Time Capsule (which I use as my network router)
    -Ensuring that the ATV is turned "on" as an Airtunes speaker
    Hope someone can offer some advice.

    I have just purchased iPhone 4s and tried to airplay to my ATV2 with a shock to see that I had no airplay button on the phone to send it to ATV2.
    I did the same thing as everyone eles updated everything and restored ATV2 with no success until I simply went into my iMac and turned my firewall off.
    System Preferences>Security>Firewall and choose 'Stop' to turn off the firewall. Instantly iI had Airplay.

  • OS 4.5- Device hangs periodically

    Hello,
    I just upgraded to the Rogers version of the OS 4.5 for the Curve (8310)... Now the device appears hang or freeze for up to 10 minutes at a time... Periodically the device screen hangs or freezes and unless you pull the battery there is no way to get the screen to respond... If you wait about 10 minutes the device will start again... This appears to happen for most applications (IE I can be listening to music and the device will stop for about 10 minutes after playing 2-3 songs and then continue playing.. It also freezes on the main screen when the device is locked)... It has not frozen yet while I'm actually typing an e-mail... It almost appears that the device is doing something in the back ground like scanning a SIM card or responding to some OS request...
    I had noted from one of the other forums that this could be due to a SIM card so I reformatted the card and reloaded the music and files back to the blackberry...
    Any ideas on what this could be and how to stop it...

    I am betting you upgraded the OS to 4.5, and you have a Media Card in the device, and the OS is constantly rescanning the Media Card. Common issue for a few after an OS 4.5 upgrade..
    Remove your Media Card, first, reboot and your BB should be fine.
    Then read this on how fix the Media Card (courtesy of John Clark, another expert here in the Forum)
    1. Removed the Media Card from the device and put in a card reader. This makes the rest of the process much quicker. However, you can do it with the card in the device.
    2. Copy the entire contents of the card to your PC.
    3. Put the card back in the device and go to Options >Media Card >Menu key >Format Card. This will wipe the card and reformat it. (if using a card reader remove the card and put it back in the reader.)
    4. Now copy back JUST the media to the device. Do NOT copy back any "BBthumbs.dat" files or any system files. I went through the entire folder and deleted every .dat file before copying the contents of the music folder and pictures folders back to the device. The device will recreate these files. Also, I didn't copy the actual "music" folder but rather just copied the contents and pasted in the card's \Blackberry\music folder. Do this for each folder.
    5. When finished put the card back in the device and try the Media App again. It should scan for music. If you have lots of music it can take 5-10 minutes. During scanning you can open the Music app and you should be able to see the songs moving around in the list as the device scans
    If after transferring all your files back you still get a stuck scanning bar or device reboots then you have a conflicting file on the card. I've seen video files do this but it could be a music file too or (less likely) a picture file. Remove all the files you transferred and see if the reboots stop. Then add back each folder one at a time to see if you can narrow down to the folder that's causing it. Once you find the folder then you can narrow down to a particular file.

  • Device won't synchronize -- but will backup

    "Unknown Error" is cited whenever I attempt to do synchronization.  (Backup seems to work, however).  How can I fix this? How can I locate Live Tech Support?  This is very frustrating -- having the problem and not having direct tech support.

    Install the DM with ADMINISTRAOR rights, make sure all firewalls and virus checkers are turned off.
    On the BB:
    Pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min.
    Configure DM and retry sync.

  • Apps crash very often. System reboots.

    Hello,
    Problem is that applications very often crash.
    The most: Safari, iBooks, GoodReader, Numbers, Pages.
    App closes and the system returns to the main screen, not saving the changes that took place during use of the application.
    Very often when pdf file is opened, it freezes the application (doesnt matter in which it is opened), and the iPad seems to be warmer than usually.
    In addition, from time to time the device reboots - Apple logo shows and system restarts.
    The iPad Air is 32 GB with cellular, the amount of free space on it is always over 2 gb, and closing other applications also does not help.
    Please help or advice me, how I can improve stability of my device.
