Device Sync Search

Does anybody know if it's possible to re-enable the search in the various tab on the device screen? eg In movies or apps you used to be able to type a partial name and it would only show the matches which you could then select or deselect for syncing.

I tried to:
1) reset all the iPad content and settings
2) start the iPad and configuring it as a new iPad
3) reset all the iPad settings
4) rebooted the iPad
5) reset all the iPad content and settings
6) start the iPad and configuring it as a new iPad
7) restoring backup from iTunes
the badge is still there....!!!

Nope. You can only be connected to one Bluetooth speaker at once.

Disable thumbnails in Devices sync view

In the Devices sync view, is it possible to prevent thumbnails, particularly for video, from being preloaded in iTunes 9?
For example, I have an AppleTV that I sync with my old iMac. With iTunes 9, whenever I click on the "TV Shows" or "Movies" or "Podcasts" tab in the AppleTV view, my entire computer almost comes to a standstill. I suspect that it's because iTunes is loading the thumbnails from my library, especially since I store my videos on an external hard disk.
Obviously, this is extremely irritating because I can't do anything else in the meantime. (Interestingly, I don't even get the spinning beach ball!)
I've searched through Preferences and the View menu but can't find anything to disable the thumbnails. Does anyone know of a way? (And no, getting a new computer isn't an option at this time!)

i have the same question about removing thumbnails from the movies tab since upgrading to version 9, i did notice that only quicktime files i have downloaded or quicktime files i've made are shown as tummbnails, not other files. I have also notice itunes freezes or actually takes a long time to aknowledge my clickng on my ipod or the tabs, version 9 also seem slower than 8.

3rd gen. nano fails Device Sync in Diagnostic Tests - Nike+ Run won't sync

I have not been having any trouble with my nano, iPhone 3G, or my wife's Touch until three days ago. Then, after a run, I tried to sync the nano (to upload my workout data) and it would not work. The iPod shows the workout and iTunes shows the workout in the Nike+ tab inside the iPod tree. However, the run still won't upload to Nike's site.
This cause me to look for solutions through iTunes. When I try to sync the nano, it only shows the sync info on iTunes for a second before saying "iPod sync is complete Eject before disconnecting" and my iPod shows the spinning sync icon for a little longer, but not long enough to sync. So, I ran the diagnostic tests through iTunes and the Device Sync Test. Results: No iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad found. Does this test only check for "touch devices"?
Sorry for the long post, I'm just trying to fully explain for the benefit of the helpful people!

How to make an app deleted from iTunes library be deleted from all the iOS devices synced with this library?

Hello!
I have 3 iOS devices synced with iTunes apps library (OS X 10.10.2)
Can someone tell me how to make not only added but deleted apps be synced also? I mean I want an app deleted in iTunes library be deleted from any iOS devices synced with this library.

But it was working some time before! What and when has changed?
There was even a warning popup window something about "this application will be deleted from all the devices synced with this library"
Now there's opposite message - "This application will not be deleted from any device syncing with this account". Isn't it some kind of clue that there can be conrarily circumstances - when application IS deleted from ANY device synced with this computer?

Itunes has stopped working when i select podcasts on device sync page

since upgrading to 10.1, i cannot select podcasts from the device sync page w/o itunes crashing with the message "itunes has stopped working"
this is frustrating because i can't select what podcasts i want to sync anymore!

i saw that the ati video driver is the cause of crashing when accessing the store, but i haven't seen this problem reported here. i have a nano 3rd gen & touch 3rd gen & this happens with both.

I've seen similar symptoms produced in the past when a podcast file is damaged, but it's much rarer to see that cause of trouble nowadays.

Can iTunes give audio notification when device sync finishes?

I'd like to get audio feedback when my device sync completes. So far, I haven't found any setting in Mavericks setting or in iTunes settings to do configure it to make a sound when it finished syncing.
Is there something that I missed, or is it impossible?

There is currently no option to set that would provide a sound when the sync is complete. You can send you suggestion to Apple, however:

Device Sync not found

Itunes wont sync with my Classic iPod. I run the diognositcs test and it says "device sync: iPod not found". I restalled itunes, reset the iPod, checked connections. The iPod icon shows up in "My Computer" folder but isn't recognized by itunes. What is the problem?

How to reduce the data in the "Other" category on the iTunes devices sync page?

How can I reduce the amount of date found in the "Other" category at the bottom of the screen on the iTunes device sync page?

I have 5.38 GBs of data in the "Other" category that I need to reduce or eliminate.

I got the answer off another thread I was reading. Just trying to spread it around now.
Go to:
Settings>General>Usage
Now for me, I have about 6GB of music on mine. What I did was select music, Now Left swipe the All Music row and press delete. After that I opened up my phone on iTunes and synced it like normal. The other data was gone after that.

No media listed in device sync?

I recently moved all my music to a single folder. I then created a new library. All of the media (music, ringtones, video) are present and playable in iTunes. However, when I go to sync my phone, no media is present in the device sync fields. What am I missing?

That is right, the media is not missing. All of my music, ringtones, books, apps are visible. I can switch between media by clicking on the media types listed under library on the sidebar. I can listen to music, make playlist, make genius playlist, and all the other fun stuff iTunes was designed to do, except sync with my phone.
When trying to sync the phone, I connect the phone to the computer using a USB cable. After a few seconds a new catagory appears in the sidebar labled "Devices." The name of my phone appears under the Devices heading along with a battery power symbol and an eject button. I then click on my phone and the iTunes screen changes to a sync screen with ten tabs across the top (Summary, Info, Apps, Tones, Music, TV Shows, etc). There is also a memory usage bar across the bottom and a sync button.
The Summary screen contains information about my phone and the memory usage bar seems to be correct. The Apps, iTunes U, Photos, and books tabs are active and will show me the media that are available to sync.
My problem is the the Tones tab and the Music tab are empty of any media. All options are grayed out except for a check box in the top left corner labled Sync Tones or Sync Music, respectively. When I click this check box I get a message warning me that the tones/music on my phone will be erased and replaced by the selected media. There is no media to be selected.
How do I get my tones and music to show up on the Sync tabs?

Device Syncing with iCloud

I have a first generation iPad, an iPhone 4, and an Intel-based iMac. All are running the latest and greatest versions of their respective software. I have migrated from MobileMe to iCloud.
However...these devices are no longer syncing with each other like they used to do under MobileMe. For example, I make a change to a contact on my phone, but it doesn't change on the other two devices, or I add an iCal event, but it doesn't add on the calendar for the other two devices.
What do I need to do?

On the iPad and iPhone tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Contacts off then back on.
Reset the devices:
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
On your iMac, open System Preferences > iCloud. Deselect Contacts then reselect the box.
Now restart your iMac.
See if all the devices sync now.

I tunes won't sync. 'no i phone found' message when I preformed device sync test.

Today I had trouble getting i phone password to work (on the computer in i tunes). Finally got that one fixed but now my i phone won't sync with computer.
I did the Device Sync Test. Message said "no i phone found". After several tries I was able to view my 'account page' in i tunes but cannot view
anything other than that. Only the first page showing name, address, charge account info. (no icons etc) though I can see my music page. Any suggestions?

there was talk about one version of itunes removed the sync with outlook and relyed on the user setting up icloud to sync with the outlook and then sync the ios device with icloud
but then there was talk about changing that in the next version of itunes going back to sync without mixing icloud into the equation
