After a few tries if it doesn't recognize the fingerprint, the Enter Passcode screen comes up and you enter your passcode.

Computer/devices will not recognize newly installed base station and make a network connection.
iMac running latest version of Yosemite, 6.3.4 version of Airport Utility, 2TB Airport Time Capsule 802.11ac. Installed latest base station as a replacement for an earlier 3T model and with Apple Tech Support was finally able to establish wireless internet connection. Time Machine nor printer connections cannot recognize the new base station/network.
Unless you have changed the settings on your Mac in Time Machine > Preferences to update them for your new Time Capsule, Time Machine is still programmed to remember and use the old settings to find your old Time Capsule, which is no longer there.
Open up Time Machine / Preferences and remove the current disk that is being used with Time Machine.
Then, click Select Disk, click on your current Time Capsule disk (likely called Data unless you have changed it) to highlight it, then click Use Disk
The first backup to the new Time Capsule should start in a few minutes.
As far as the printer, the same conditions likely exist......namely that your printer is remembering the settings to communicate with your old Time Capsule, which is no longer there, so you need to tell your printer that you have a new Time Capsule and provide it with the correct settings to connect.
Start over again, just as if the printer was new, and set up the printer again to connect to the new Time Capsule. -
HT4381 the device will not recognize/accept my password
The box is installed on my TV but when I ender my id and password I keep getting the message that it is incorrect. I have changed my password and tried again with the same message.

Tungsten E2 will not recognize SD card
I am writing in regards to a Palm Tungsten E2 which I received for Christmas. This device was purchased from the Palm store in November, but not opened until Christmas. The problem is that the device will not recognize a SD card when inserted. I am using new SanDisk 512 Mb, and 1 Gb SD cards. When I go to card information in the Applications menu, it says "no card inserted". Also, there is no sound when the card is inserted, though it will turn the device on, which indicates that there is some form of recognition. I have checked under Preferences and the sound option is on. Also, I have checked and the card is in the unlocked position. Any advice that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I have been a Palm user for more than seven years now, first with the Palm 500 and then with the Zire 71. I use it extensively for work and am lost when I don't have it.

I recently purchased the iPhone 5 and my itunes account on my iMac 7,1 will not recognize it as a device. My imac has stopped downloading new updates, it says it is up to date with iTunes 9.2.1. My imac will not run the newest 10.7 itunes either. All I want to do is put my music from itunes on my computer to my new phone. HELP please!!
i called apple and they are sending me snow leopard so i should, *fingers crossed, be able to run the newer version of itunes. we'll find out for sure in a few days when it arrives

My computer (PC) will not recognize my ipod touch anymore. When I plug it in, it says the USB device attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. I have tried attaching the same cord and ipod to a different computer and it is recognized by our mac. I have tried restarting the ipod, downloading all updates on my pc, restarting the pc, etc. Nothing has worked. Please advise.

The ipod is not a backup/storage device.
You need to copy everything from your old computer to your new one.
The Apple store will do this for you, you can call apple support and they will help you, you can use google. -
I have an external hard drive that I have been using for years. All of a sudden my mac will not recognize the external as a "save as" device location. Follow the procedure on the link below to create a bootable Ubuntu CD and follow the steps in Part 3 to 'Try it' to see if this OS will run from the CD without the need to install on your HDD. This will show whether the problem is with Windows or a Hardware problem with the optical drive.

If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver. If the issue persists try all remaining steps.

after attempting to update to latest software, my iphone 4 is stuck showing "connect to itunes" picture screen. My computer will not recognize device. I have tried restarting/restoring/hard reset/reinstalling itunes and every other suggestion listed on apple troubleshooting website. thoughts?

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
If Premiere Elements 13, please be advised that it does not support DV or HDV capture firewire. And, any USB devices
have never worked for that purpose for Premiere Elements (any version).
As for the burner not being recognized in the Burner Location field of burn dialog of the program, please consider
(if you are dealing with DVD CD burner rather than a Blu-ray DVD CD burner.
