Device will not start

Help!! My Z10 will not start and is only getting to 98% on the loading screen. I have connected it to my computer but it will not register.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Try removing the SIM and Media Card, then booting up without those. If that goes OK, shut down normally and put the cards back in, and try to boot up again.
Also, how long do you wait at 98%? Sometimes, things are going on while it appears "stuck", but it's not really stuck...we just have to be more patient. But I cannot tell if you waited 30 minutes, 1 minute, or 5 seconds...

Well, you downloaded a bootleg copy of iOS 7 beta and have installed it on your phone without being a developer. It has bricked your phone and you cannot get help here because doing what you did has voided your warranty. Have a nice day.

Restart your computer. Run iTunes and check for updates. If there is a later version of iTunes available, download and install it. Then try again. If you still cannot see your iPad listed in iTunes make a list of all the things you have tried so that we can see exactly what steps you have taken.

Device Central will not start

I've installed CS3 Master Suite twice every program works
fine, but Device Central will not start. A message come up saying
"You cannot open the application "Device Central" because it may be
damaged or incomplete". So I poked around in the program Package
and started the Device Central item using Terminal. The program
start right up and runs like it should does anyone know how to fix
this?

I reported this same problem a couple of months ago with my
MacBook and OS X 10.4.9. Upon trying Device Central again, it is
now working perfectly. I've done nothing at all regarding a fix
specific to this product. My guess is that there might be some
dependency that is not satisfied with a standard
installation.

Firefox will not start - already tried all suggestions from troubleshooting

I searched google and here a couple times before posting this. My problem is simple, firefox just will not start. I can click on the shortcut, or the icon inside the c/program files/mozilla folder, i can click "run as administrator", i can do run/firefox.exe, and I can do all of these in safe mode, and still none of them work.
For each time that I do try to start it, it will be running in processes so sometimes I'll have 3 or 4 firefox.exe running but it is not actually showing up anywhere.
I already tried going to run/firefox.exe -p to create a new profile and that doesnt work either, because when I do it, nothing happens. I enter firefox.exe -p in the run command box, click enter, and.....nothing , not even the hourglass. I have tried doing it in regular and safe mode also. nothing.
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling back when this first started happening, it was the first thing I did but no luck.
Also, one thing : 99% of the time nothing at all happens when i try to run firefox. When my computer is in safe mode though, and only if I click "run as administrator" on the firefox icon that is in the program files/mozilla folder, it says "a device attached to the system is not functioning." Thats the only time I ever got a error message though, every other time, and if I click on the shortcut or the start menu icon, nothing will happen, and if i do it outside of safe mode. The only time I get this message is in safe mode and when i click on the icon in the program files mozilla folder.
I read through the troubleshooting article on here and couldnt find any help, so I am hoping someone here can help me out since i f'ing HATE internet explorer, and safari is OK but I prefer firefox, and now safari is starting to give me trouble too so I would really just love to get back with my firefox. hope you can help me. thanks.

My iTunes will not start. The box on the error message APSDaemon.exe, And message says "This application failed to start because MSVC80.dll was not found. Reinstalling may fix." I did the reinstall and I get the same error.

Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. Apple has posted a way to fix and you should follow their's first. I finally got to upldate correctly by doing their fix but with one difference. I did the following:
1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replace)
2) Restarted computer and still got error message
3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not specifically put in their fix but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
5) Restarted computer.
6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try. Even updated my ipad to make sure everything was working.

AMDS will not start

I've downloaded the latest version of iTunes, ever since I can't connect my iPod Touch 8GB anymore.
Everytime I connect my iPod, a bar shows up: This iPod cannot be used, because AMDS is not started.
After a couple of days searching (I'm dutch speaking belgian, so english isn't that evident for me), and starting the AMDS in Windows Vista, start -> services -> AMDS -> start
A bar shows up again: The AMDS on Local Computer is started and stopped after that. Some services stop automaticcaly if they not be used by other services or programs.
After pressing the only choice of OK, I still can't connect my iPod.
I've reinstalled iTunes, Quicktime, Apple software update, Apple mobile device support, Bonjour and apple Application Support a few times now and now i'm really losing my mind!! My iPod almost flow against the wall together with my pc. And not amusing when you first make al your playlist completely (2 days work), all my cd's, and wanted all on my iPod for leaving on a holiday,...
Now I'm back and tried every step agian, but still no connection possible.
Next step: iPod for sale???
Please can anyone help me?

I'm in the same boat. AMDS will not start(Error 1053), and because of this, I have no itunes at all, as the iTunes install fails when it can't start the service. Any suggestions?
