DFS Replication for one group only not working

  
I have 2 DFS Replication groups and each group contains the same 2 member servers.
One group is set to replicate one drive pair between these members, and the other group is set to replicate another drive pair between the same member servers.
Replication works perfectly for one group / folder, but it does not even start on the other group.
This proves that there is no problem with the connectivity between the members, or to the AD.
The DFS Replication Health Report for the group that does not replicate shows no error, just 2 Warnings:
 WARNINGS  (2 servers with warnings)(Show All)
BOG-RODC   (1 warning)
  Reference member returned no replicated folders.  
MTL-HV-FS01   (1 warning)
  This member is waiting for initial replication for replicated folder BOG-RODC_D_Drive.  
This is very weird, I don't see why it does not replicate, I'm pooling my hair out. Please help

follow up on the above issue: Yes I did delete the group, and DFSRPrivate folder and recreated the group again, but this did not help.
Problem has been fixed by Microsoft, I had to open a case with them. Apparently the Jet database that's hidden in the "System Volume Information" was corrupted, so not only he deleted the group, but did the following, changed permissions/ownership
to access the System Volume Information, then:

Then as usually recreated the replication group. I haven't seen this information anywhere on the web or in the Microsoft site.

  • Language specific replication of material group description not working SRM

    Hi All,
    We have backend R/3 MM system from which we replicate our materials,material groups. For Italian language the replication of the material groups description is not working. Though the description is available in backend R/3 system when i run the DNL_CUST_PROD1object in R3AS tcode, there is no replication log in SMQ2 but still the Italian language is not replicated into SRM.
    There are no logs in SMW01 tcode also.
    Please suggest.

    Hi,
    As david explained,you need to set the filter for the LANGUAGE field  in trascn R3AC3 before replicating the product categories.
    In R3AC3 select DNL_CUST_PROD1. Go to table structures tab . Click on the filter next to T023T table. This will take you to the filter tab. Select source site name and filter options. In the field put "SPRAS", in op put "EQ" and in low value the value 'IT"(for italian) . You can also describe a range here instead of individual material group numbers.

  • Value help does not work for ONE person only !

    we have a strange problem. In the Web IC, we are using a standard value help for the country field for a Business Partner. This works fine for everyone (ie, it picks up the country and slots it into the field) except one person. For her, it never returns any value into the country field. We are guessing that it's not Web IC related but is something in her browser settings etc...but haven't been able to pin it down. Can anyone offer any advice on this ?

    Hello Malcolm,
    If this error occurs for one user only it's definitely related to the clients PC.
    Did you already delete all temporary files and the cookies on that PC? Usually this does the trick!
    If this does not solve the problem, try to let that particular user login on another PC where the problem does not occur. (If the error does occur on another PC too it's probably profile/authorization related)

  • Airplay works for one user but not for another on the same machine

    I have the problem where airplay works for one user but not for another and both users are on the same machine.  For the user where it does not work, everything appears normal, it's just that there is no sound being transmitted.  I have tried restarting the Airport express, restarting iTunes, repairing disk permissions.  Any ideas about what can be done to resolve this?

    Group text with one non iPhone not working on one iPhone 6 in group. SMS, MMS and iMessage as well as group messaging are all turned on. Has worked intermittently but now cannot see or respond in that particular chain. Can send independently to the non iPhone (Samsung) but not in group. Other iPhone 6 and 5 in group work fine.

    The reason why you have to turn off 3Gs is because T-Mobile does not support iPhones 1700 something or other. You have to turn off the 3Gs on the iPhone to make it work.
    As already provided, it shouldn't matter since the iPhone is designed to automatically connect to the fastest internet connection available. If wi-fi access and 3G network access is on, when in range of an available wi-fi network you have access to and have connected your iPhone with previously, the iPhone will connect to the wi-fi network automatically. When leaving the range of the wi-fi network, the iPhone will connect to the 3G network if 3G network access is available. If 3G network access is not available, the iPhone will connect to EDGE or GPRS - whichever is available at the time.
    If this is unique to T-Mobile's network with the iPhone for some reason since T-Mobile is not an official carrier for the iPhone in the U.S. and you were instructed by T-Mobile to do so, then you need to do so.
    If this is not working now, the problem lies with T-Mobile and I have no idea what to tell them for them to recognize where the problem lies on their end.

  • Classic - text ringtones work for one contact but not for others

    Just got the new Blackberry classic.  I'm having trouble with the ringtones for the text messages.  The custom ringtone works for one contact but not for the others.  I have taken the same custom ringtone that works for contact A and used it for contact B but it only works for A.  B sounds the default ringtone from the default profile instead of the custom ringtone.
    I have deleted all contacts and done a re-sync thinking something was corrupt.  That didn't work. 
    None of the contacts have a link. 
    I have changed the notification profile and it still doesn't work. 
    I have deleted a contact and recreated it manually.  It still doesn't work. 
    I finally deleted my dad's  contact and from the phone app created a new contact.  I set a custom ringtone for him and it worked.  I of course had to recreate all his other information manually.  Please tell me there is some other way to fix this than recreating manually all 147 contacts in my contact list.
    I read that if the phone number has the hypen or space it won't work, but my dad's contact info that I created from the phone app has the hypen and it rings with the custom ringtone.  Also contact A has no hypen in the phone number and it rings the custom ringtone.  So that didn't seem to matter. 
    I have spent hours on Google and see that lots of people have had this problem (but not everyone) but have not yet found a solution. 
    Surely someone has found a fix for this issue.

    Make sure that the contact has "Mobile" as the field for her number and not "iPhone".
    Note that the iPad cannot send SMS messages.

    I am not certain this will fix your problem but I suggest you assign the printer a static IP address.
    Using the printer's front panel, select Menu > Network > WLAN > TCP/IP > Boot method, and change it to "static". Provide a static IP address that is on your LAN's subnet.
    For example, if you are using an AirPort Extreme, you might give it an IP address of 10.0.1.100. If you are using a Netgear or Linksys router that defaults to issuing 192.168.x.x addresses, you might give it an address of 192.168.1.100. That way, the printer will always "reside at the same address" on your network. If your router has the ability, you should reserve that address so that the router does not attempt to assign it to another DHCP device.
    Then, go to System Preferences > Print & Scan, and delete your existing printer with the "–" (minus) button. Add it again, using the "+" (plus) button. In the window that appears, select the IP pane, and from the Protocol menu select "Line Printer Daemon (LPD)". In the Address field type the IP address you gave your printer.
    If all goes well the "Pring Using" field will detect the printer at that address and automatically select the appropriate driver. You will see something similar to the following screenshot ("name" can be whatever you decide, and "location" is optional):
    Click Add, then you can close System Preferences.
    There are other possible reasons your printer is "not responding" which could include wireless interference from competing wireless networks, but try this "static IP" method first. It should mitigate the problem.

    We've had several instances where we have had to run chkdsk on arrays with over 1m files. Average completion time is approximately 72 hours. The maximum downtime window they have available is the 64 hour weekend window. File sizes and number of files were
    much smaller then than they are now.
    The idea, in theory, was to use VHDs to compartmentalize the data into smaller volumes which could be more easily managed. It would also improve performance when transferring these compartments of data as they would use sequential read/write rather than
    fragmented/random. This idea was never fleshed out in entirety, they don't split data up into little containers, but simply into big ones per project. Hence the 11m files in one container that I am currently trying to diagnose.
    Some other important facts: The VHD in question is mounted in B:/project/ as this server also allows remote workers to log in, but they are restricted to see only data in E:. Disks A-D are hidden via group policy.
    Update: icacls is failing on a large number of files within this dataset. I counted the path characters to ensure it wasn't the 255 character limit I was encountering and verified that the paths being blocked are only about 150 characters long. Once it finishes,
    I'll have to try taking ownership and then re-running it. At this point I still have no idea how long to expect. I'm running out of time as the environment will be in use again at 9AM tomorrow morning.

    Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you arr having trouble with group messages. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps
    Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
    Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you selected iMessage for use. If the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use, troubleshoot iMessage registration.
    Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. If a data connection isn't available, troubleshoot cellular data or a Wi-Fi connection.
    iMessage over cellular data might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn which network your phone supports. If your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while you're on a call.
    Restart your device.
    Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
    If you still can't send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
    Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.

    If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.

    Back up and restore your device as new.

    Is it possible to turn off the ringtone for one contact only? The block feature won't work because I still want to be able to receive voice messages from this particular contact.

    You can assign a silent ringtone to that one person. Google to find such a ringtone, sync it to the phone, assign the custom ringtone to this person and when they call, the phone will appear not to ring.

    First of all, I'd recomend resetting the iPod. Do this by pressing the 'Menu' and 'Center" buttons for 10 seconds or until the Apple logo appears.
    If this doesn't work, then it sounds like a hardware fault.
    To identify the issue, if you have one, try plugging the iPod into a speaker through the dock. If this works, then the issue is with the headphone jack. If not then the logic board is dead.  If the iPod is less than a year old, then it can be repaired by Apple for free. Just book an appointment for the Genius bar.
    If not then, you could see about sending it to an iPod Repair Company, such as my own. A replacement headphone jack would cost £30.00 in the UK, including next day delivery. Other companies you could try would beUKiPodRepairs, but we guarantee to beat any quote that you get.
