I have a windows 2008 r2 STD edition box and on running dfsrdiag.exe i am getting following error messages:
DFSRDIAG - <Missing String>
SyncNow - <Missing String>
StopNow - <Missing String>
PollAD - <Missing String>
DumpAdCfg - <Missing String>
DumpMachineCfg - <Missing String>
StaticRPC - <Missing String>
Backlog - <Missing String>
GUID2NAME - <Missing String>
PropagationTest - <Missing String>
PropagationReport - <Missing String>
FileHash - <Missing String>
IDRecord - <Missing String>
ReplicationState - <Missing String>
tried to readd the dfs/file service features from the server manager but no go..Server rebooted multiple times to no avail. COpied files from a working server in c:\windows\system32\dfsrgiag.exe but anything works.i am out of ideas now.Has anyone faced
this issue and is there any fix fr it.The same command works on other w2k8 R2 OS servers..

I tried that part but didnt work...
I managed to get it running bia copying another file dfsrdiag.exe.mui from a working server to non-working server under following oaths:
C:\windows\system32\en-us &
C:\windows\system32.
It seems to have resolved the problem...not sure if its is due to any language pack since donot have any LP on the server..Thanks for your advice.

You're right to be skeptical about such upgrade notices. I would be, too. Particularly one with that wording.
Do you have an Air Display Host app installed? If you do, then go to the vendor's web site — not to any other download sites — and download the update only from there, or — if you have it and are not using it — consider deinstalling the package. Also see if there are notices about the installer / upgrade failure posted there.
As an alternative to what that package appears to do, Mavericks offers AirPlay Display, so you might not need the Air Display Host package, if you're using it.
The Air Display Host vendor I located performs a drive-by download of their software when you visit their download page, something which makes me skeptical. (Just to avoid fallout from these drive-bys, I have Safar set to disable automatically opening "safe" file attachments, and killed the download before it completed.)

When I try to scan I get an error that HP_IZE.exe is missing. Help!!

I am unable to scan to my printer, it says that the file HP_IZE.exe is missing. HP Photosmart C4480, I have tried reinstalling the software and it indicates that it is already installed. I have removed it (I thought) but it still insists it is already installed. I need to be able to scan!! Please help!!

Try an L3 uninstall. Go to the installation CD or the folder that you extracted it to from the download then go to util->ccc->uninstall_l3. Once that uninstall is completed try reinstalling and scanning. Let me know if this helps or not!

When i checked the parameter file i can see the value assigned to the $DBConnection_OLAP. The same tasks ran successfully when i ran the ETL process for Complete 11.5.10 for the first time. I did not change anything after that and also all these are came built-in with the installation of Oracle BI Applications.
Please anyone give me an idea what is causing the problem.

Name = SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Temporary
Open Status Description, look for string -lpf, the file after it is the actual parameter file DAC send to INFA server. E.g
-lpf D:\DACTOPUS\Informatica\parameters\SDE_ORAR12_Adaptor.SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Temporary.txt
Open the parameter file, most likely the [session_name] does not match with SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Derive_Full or some parameters are missing.

Finally I was able to resolve after adding this jar file to the classfile
path of the application.
Now,I am trying to access use linkTable.add(new Item(222,"222","333",12.33)) in JSP.
where linkTable is a LinkedList.
It fails giving following error:

BtTray.exe error on startup in Windows 8.1

I receive a BtTray.exe Error, BsSdk.dll missing on startup in Windows 8.0.......... PC is 2 months old and has always done this.

Procedure 1:
Step 1:
First of all connect your PC with internet and log in your PC as administrative account.
Step 2:
Open Control Panel and click on Uninstall a program under Programs.
Step 3:
Uninstall the Bluetooth software from the list of programs.
Step 4:
Now from Control Panel, click on Hardware and Sound.
Step 5:
Then click on Device Manager under ‘Devices and Printers’.
Step 6:
Now open Bluetooth option and then right-click on the device and select Update Driver Software → Search automatically for updated driver software.
Step 7:
Now reboot and check if the problem is solved.
if the issue persists, please try Procedure 2:
Reinstall the bluetooth drivers using the steps mentioned in the following weblink:

Error Missing Parameter Values

I am very inexperinced in VB and ASP.Net.
That being said I have used forums and tutorials to develop the code below.
In the code I have hard coded some values to be passed to the report for testing...see num_inv and ser_inv.
When I run the code I get an error "Missing Parameter Values".
If I remove the lines that setparamervalues and turn on the enableparamaterpromt the report works fine and I can manually enter the values and see my completed report.
More Details...
The Crystal Report uses an ODBC connection to a SQL Server. I am only using one view to feed the report and there are no subreports. I am buidling the web app in VS2010 with the crystal reports version for VS2010 installed.
Dorry if I didn't give enough information...I don't know what else is relavant.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would start by enabling the parameter prompt and passing the parameters in code. You will only be prompted for the parameters that did not receive an acceptable value. This will let you see if your code to set the values is working for one or neither of your parameters. Calling the setparametervalues method will not return an error if the value isn't accepted.
Also, make sure your datatype is the same as defined in the report, and make sure you have no differences in the parameter names. Note, if the parameters are automatically created in the report because they came from a stored procedure, you need to include the @ symbol in the name as you see in the designer.

Interactive report javascript error: missing ) in parenthetical

Running on 11g, APEX 3.1.2.00.02:
I have several interactive reports that appear to the user to hang up when they try to sort by clicking a column header (the spinny circles never go away and the page doesn't do anything). Upon the column header click, Firebug reports a javascript error: "missing ) in parenthetical", which I now believe is related to this string:
<SCRIPT SRC="/oracle_smp_chronos/oracle_smp_chronos.js"></SCRIPT>
being appended to the results of an AJAX call the report makes to get refreshed data.
I believe the expected result data (JSON format?) is no longer valid with that string at the end.
We had to prevent that from happening when running our own onDemand service, but I don't know how to stop it in this case.
Has anyone seen, or solved, this one before? Can anyone tell me how to turn off that smp_chronos stuff to see if I'm right? It's for performance monitoring or some such, isn't it?

Our DBA tells me: there is a setting in the web cache called End-User Performance monitoring. it need to be disabled ( "Site-Specific End-User Performance Monitoring Rules")

Compile Error: missing return statement

anyone knows why the following program yields compile error "missing return statement??"
class LengthTest

If I add "else return 30" statement, then it can stop the error. Any ideas??

You might know that the string length will never be more than 20, but the compiler does not. So it forces you to supply a return statement that will be executed no matter what the string length is.

Java.exe Error while running Tomcat

I encountered a very strange Java.exe error while testing my servlet.
Here is the screen dump of the aforementioned error:

Would appreciate any help; I don't claim to be any good at this stuff.
All of the information on that page is derived from a database on a

etc.). I am not sure if it is a server-side error or a client-side
error as my computer is running the server; another computer is not

Thank you for your help. I was using the MultiPartRequest class in the com.oreilly.servlet.* package so I could add a "section" that allowed users to upload CSV files to the database. It required, I think, that an opening FORM tag would have the following attribute: enctype="multipart/form-data"
Now, I made a HtmlGenerator class that writes the HTML for me, with all sorts of methods like html.startTableCell( String stylesheet, String align, String valign, String width ) so I could just type html.startTableCell( "palepurple", "left", "top", "50%" ); ... made reading my own crap a lot easier.
Anyway, I had html.startForm( ) and html.startUploadForm( )... the only difference was that the upload one had the enctype="multipart/form-data" attribute and the first one didn't. Now, my DoPost() method was supposed to determine if there were "regular" parameters passed on by the form and if there were "MultiPart" parameters... with code like this:

C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\npswf32_flashutil.exe error

I've installed the TVTrigger application (http://www.tvtrigger.com/) on Windows 7 64-bit. This application required Flash to work. I've also installed Flash 10.
However, when I start the application, I get an error that C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\npswf32_flashutil.exe is missing.
When I check, no such directory exists.
Can anyone tell me what Flash version/installer I need to use to that actually populates C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\?

Hi , The files you are speaking of are removed with the Adobe Uninstaller and then the Installer will install the needed
files into the Flash folder.

http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe This is the FF Installer, SAVE it to your Desktop
Since I don't know what add ons, extensions or plugins you have, Just disable them all for now.
Follow the instructions for the Uninstaller, close all browsers, check the system tray. No programs that use Flash should
be running.
Disconnect from the Internet
Disable any and all Anti-Virus/Spyware programs that run in realtime.
Disable any Firewall that you use, except Windows Firewall
Run the Uninstaller from your Desktop, then Reboot. Wait until fully Rebooted, then Reboot again
Run the Installer from your Desktop, then Reboot
Enable your Firewall and your Anti-Virus/Spyware programs
Connect back to the Internet
Go to this Adobe test site to confirm you have the FP vs 10.0.42.34 installed http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about
Go to your plugins and make sure you have SWF(Shockwave Flash) vs 10.0.42.34 there and it is Enabled
Enable Java-the latest is JRE 6 update 18.
Then check your Flash folder and post back with the files that are now installed.
Now if you have old versions of Java installed(check the Add/Remove) you would need to Remove them via Add/Remove
and install the latest Java. NOTE: You can do this prior to the Uninstall/Install process. Post back and I'll give you the Java install procedure.
