DFW Rollout Schedule

I was hoping someone could tell me if there are any plans to bring FiOS to Arlington, TX. Many of the other suburbs of DFW have it, and Arlington is the most important one. It's got the Rangers' baseball stadium, the new Cowboys' football stadium, and I live there. I've been waiting for a long time, periodically hitting the 'Check Availability' button, but no luck so far...
If it makes any difference, I'll let you use my internet when you're in town, Verizon.

Happy to answer specific cities as at the start, middle or end of the schedule... but sometimes we have to change the order due to other network activities in your area... so sharing our current order of operations is not very useful.

  • BT Infinity Rollout Schedule Confusion

I recently switched over from Orange Broadband to BT Total Broadband and although I am completely happy with my current package I am really confused why I couldn't go straight onto BT Infinity as my exchange is definitately capable of it because one of the main reasons I switched from Orange Broadband was after I spoke to a BT engineer who was installing BT Infinity in a house oposite to me but for some reason BT Infinity was not offered as an option for my property and I guess there is some kind of rollout schedule for BT Infinity and at some point my land line will be flagged as BT Infinity capable? It just seems like false economy to me as for me to move to BT Infinity now will mean I need to rip out all my BT Total Broadband kit or am I missing the point?

  • Fios Rollout Schedule for Queens, New York

I was wondering if and when verizon fios would be made available in Woodhaven, Queens. At the moment the fastest plan you offer in our area is 1.5mbps which is quite slow, and recently time warner knocked on our door offering 40mbps down and 5 up, but for an outrageous price of $100. I was wondering if fios would be made available here within a year, to see if I should make a deal with the devil.

No way to really tell. Verizon does not publish its rollout sechedule to anyone. Not even their customer service or repair people. In fact many of the people who you talk to on the phone, dont know until the customers start calling in. Verizon claims that they are trying to prevent the competition from going out the weeks before a rollout and re-locking people into contracts to prevent the switching. Now there is a web site (I dont have it but I'm sure someone will post it) that does show the areas that they plan to put fios in, but the problem is that it doesnt give any timeline. it could be tomorrow or it could be 5 years down the line. Usually you'll know before anyone else, because you will see them out laying the lines in the neighborhood. Seems a good rule of thumb is that after they lay the lines in the neighborhood, then it goes on sale about 6-8 weeks later. Not always true but true more often than not.

  • Slowness at startup with Adobe Premiere Elements 11 inside a Proxy

    Hi all
I recently started working for a state government agency, we have 2 users in our department that have Adobe Premiere Elements 11 installed (they have for quite a while) I noticed while working on their PC that Photoshop elements can take 5-10 minutes to start once they click on video editor and new Project, also the help files do not work they produce a page cannot be found error.
I am replacing there PC in a standard upgrade rollout schedule and I have noticed the same issue on their new PC's, after looking into this I thought I would try the application on the same PC but connected up to a standard ADSL line outside of our network and proxy, the application opens with 10-15 seconds and the help menus are working.
Is there any exceptions I could ask our network administrators to put into the proxy to allow the traffic out and in to fix this issue.
The PC is running Adobe Premiere Elements 11

  • Broad band -appaling customer service - Help

I live in a rural area and have had Broadband for 5 years - albeit line speeds of 350 kb ! It is critical for my business use, my wife's small business and the childern's school studies. 10 days ago the BRoadband went down - after 2 technicial visits and innumerable conversations with the Indian Call center - yesterday I was informed from India that they were removing Broadband and could no longer supply due to line length!
I am furious! No other business I know can be a supplier for 5 years and then just say NO!
I need help to understand who in authority I can contact as nobdy seems to care! Can anybody help?
As an aside 4 other families in the village have suffered the same issue in the past 10 days and are being disconnected. This I believe is an issue of BT not caring to invest in rural areas
    Timmc

I myself live quite rural and It does seem that in these areas they cut as many corners to save money as possible purely because they dont get the return they would get in the cities. BT is a business, we've just come out of a recession (I think?)...
Fact is, why would they upgrade phone lines and exchanges that server 10,000 people when they can upgrade one that serves 100,000 people, the second one gets them more money because more people sign up to more expensive packages...
You've only got to look at the Fibre rollout schedule to see that nothing is going to change... I would go to Ofcom or something about it, its rediculous that they can turn around and say they wont supply BB even though they have for the last 5 years, they're meant to be doing the opposite ie. Supplying BB to EVERYONE in Britain...

I was reading the transcript of the presentation, it was very interesting and informative.  Just a question in the rollout schedule which there was a number f questions and references,.  Does Delaware gets grouped with the Philadelphia market?  or is it its own entity, and which part of rollout does it fall into beginning, middle, or end?

  • 5800 Firmware 2.0 is true?

    Check this:
Firmware 2.0 Rollout Schedule the 5800 approximate dates will be known in a few days
This is true or not for the 5800????

they are already known supposedly all over the internet dates are plastered. now this is a rumor, but i hope for once a really solid one that will come true for all of us. NOTE this is for n97
there is no indication that 5800 will get another update any time soon as it is on v31 already so its pretty stable. there might be an update but who knows.
Message Edited by radical24 on 05-Oct-2009 01:33 PM
Radical24 how can you say that V31 is pretty stable, do you use a 5800 on a daily basis?:mansurprised: well I can tell you, its NOT pretty stable, we all still sit with the alarm bug, and my default internet browser still crashes daily and just closes off by itself..
Even by installing applications the phone sometimes hangs dead and has be be restarted, this is how wonderfull V31.0.008 is working
So I as the rest of the 5800 XM users are waiting for a new firmware update that will solve those common problems and maybe just maybe NOKIA will listen to our cries regarding, Kinetic Scrolling and Updated Homescreen with widgets might be comming our way that is why everybody is asking and wanting to know if the V2.0 software might be comming to the 5800 eventually.

  • If I have a 3G, will I still get MMS on the 25th?

So, I was reading that 3Gs users will get MMS when upgrading to 3.1... but do us lowlife 3G users get it too, or is this like video and zoom.. denied to us?

MMS is supported with the 3G and 3GS. This was announced at Apple's WWDC when firmware update 3.0 and the 3GS were introduced.

We know many of our iPhone customers are eager for an update on our rollout schedule for Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). We’ve been working for the past several months to prepare our systems and network to ensure the best possible experience with MMS when it launches – *and that launch date is: September 25 for iPhone _3G and 3GS customers_.* MMS will be enabled through a software update on that day.

  • Bring Fios to Franklin Twp, NJ

All of the other towns around us have Fios... is there any kind of rollout schedule for NJ? Would really appreciate some answers as I am willing to switch over everything to Verizon (away from Comcast, which keeps getting progessively worse).

Fios is available in much of Franklin Township already, and has been for quite some time now.  It's not yet available on my street.  I've been checking the site for more than a year now and still no change.  I am dying to switch from Comcast, too!

  • Schedule Updates offline Image and updates in softwarecenter after rollout

    Hello,
we have a strange issue here.
For Example: I did an offline update of our os image for server 2012 R2 with the KB2919355 update.
The Distribution Points are successfully updated with the new image.
The OfflineServicingMgr.log says everything went fine.
After staging or installing a server from the wim-file the update is listed under "Programs and Features\Installed Updates" as installed.
But after doing an inventory and a software scan against the SCCM Server the update is displayed as necessary in the softwarecenter.
Does someones know for what reason this happens or where i can take a look ?
Is ist just a display problem ?

  • Create an Application Object schedule from command line?

Hi everyone - long-time lurker, first-time poster here.
Is there a way create an availability schedule for an Application Object via a command line (or any other programmatic method)? The utilities I've obtained from Cool Solutions are great for replicating AOs (Application Objects) and setting certain properties, but none of them seem to have a method of creating a schedule that you would otherwise create within the AO's property book via Availability > Schedule. BTW, we are using Zen 6.5.
We have a rollout around the corner for which there are several AOs that drive the process, and we are going to have an instance of each of these AOs for every target group (of which there are dozens), and each group will have their own distinct schedule. The schedules are basically going to be "wait until day X to become available and then remain available for the next 2 months".
For some of the AOs we can use the Schedule Type of Range of days, which is not so terrible to set manually because you just specify a start date and an end date. But most of the AOs must have the Schedule Type of Specified days in order to ensure they do not ever launch during business hours; manually selecting 60 days from the date picker for a single instance is a daunting task, and I shudder at the thought of having to do so for dozens of AO instances.
I believe that the field in the ZENworks database that corresponds with an Application Object's schedule has a data type of Binary (which may be why there doesn't seem to be an existing solution), but does anyone have any ideas for accomplishing what I'm talking about?
    Thanks in advance,
    Gavin

    Just to clarify, you want:
Range of days, start date, end date. Nothing fancier than that?
    - Anders Gustafsson (Sysop)
    The Aaland Islands (N60 E20)
In a perfect world this is what I would like to be able to do:
For the AOs where we're going to use the "Range of Days" schedule type, be able to specify the start date, end date and also the days of the week when we do not want it to run (or just the days we do want it, if easier).
For the AOs with the "Specified days" schedule type, we would like to add (or remove) a specific date, and optionally be able to specify that Start Time and End Time that applies to the dates. As for adding multiple dates, I was planning on having a script that enumerates all the dates in our desired range, and for each date in the range it would call the utility with that date passed as a parameter to add it or remove it.
If all of the above is too much to put together then I would not complain if it is only partially fulfilled. To be honest I would not mind building a mechanism myself that could handle this, it's just that I don't know where to start. I'd be happy to take a crack at it if someone could point me in the right direction for how to send commands to the database (or directory).
Thank you again for your help.

  • BT Infinity - rollout not registering?

I have been waiting for the rollout of Infinity to the Bridgend exchange for some time. It was scheduled for 31st March 2011 and I watched with interest the fleet of Openreach vans installing new cabinets all down the road I live on including the the one 50 yards from my house.
They were still on our road in April, and if I remember rightly the date on the website got pushed back to June. Currently it says that the exchange is now rolled out.
Before this the line checker had confirmed that my line was scheduled to roll out on 31st March, but now it says I can't get it and that there are no plans to roll it out in my area!
I understand that not all cabinets for an exchange will necessarily have infinity rolled out to them, but I saw them install the new cabinet with my own eyes, so the usual argument about planning permission etc surely can't apply?
Could it be that the BT database which records the rollout data hasn't been updated for my cabinet?
The old cabinet has the number 21 printed on the front and side, the new one has no marks that I can see.
If anyone knows why this cabinet is not activated can they please let me know.
    Thanks
    Huw

    Hi
below is the list of postcodes that use cabinet 21.
The new Fibre Optic cabinet alongside/nearby doesn't get marked with a number.
The telephone number check is normally the most accurate check.
However if your sure 21 is your cabinet and it's powered up... you can hear the fans running inside it.
And perhaps you know of a neighbour/friend with a post code using cabinet 21, that is getting Infinity/or shows it's available for their telephone line.
That may add up to evidence to show for your line there may be an error on the Openreach database.
It could be worth contacting the very helpful forum mods with this information.
Contact form can be obtained by clicking on the name of any forum mod.... Takes a good few days due to their workload, but you will get a reply.
