DHCP and NAP Event 1070

Server 2012 DC1, role: AD, DNS, DHCP and NAP. Another Server 2012 DC2 as secondary with same roles, and as hot stand by for DHCP.
When NAP is enabled on all scope, event 1070 "Iashlpr initialization failed: The DHCP service was unable to access path specified for the audit log. , so DHCP server cannot talk to NPS server. It could be that IAS service is not started." comes
up. When this error shows up, doing Replicate Failover Scopes from the MMC will crash it. Running Invoke-DhcpServerv4FailoverReplication will generate "The remote procedure call failed" error.
NPS NAP DHCP Policy exists, with generic Full Access and no restriction. Both DC's are in "RAS and IAS Servers" group. The audit path exists and can be accessed. Disabling NPS on all scopes seem to return to normal.
This seems to be a bug or something amissed. How can I get enable NAP on all scope without DHCP server throwing an error?

Besides, what's the start type of the NPS service?
To set the NPS service to start automatically and start the NPS service, please follow the steps below,
At the NPS server click Start, click Run, type
services.msc, and then click OK.
Double-click Network Policy Server.
On the General tab, in the Startup type
box, click Automatic, and then click Apply.
Click Start, wait for the progress bar to complete, and then click
OK.
On the File menu, click Exit.

No errors on scan, it did not find integrity violations. Service is already on auto and started.
I thought maybe the firewall is blocking it, but this is the same machine that runs AD/DHCP/NPS role.
Where this audit log for NPS that the DHCP is looking for?

Unknown Machines and NAP

Hi all,
The company I work for is having a major network upgrade including the replacement of all edge and core switches. Part of this upgrade will be the introduction of NAP. We have just had two new 2012 r2 servers installed running NAP.
During our last meeting it was mentioned that only computers with an AD computer account will be allowed onto the network. I'm not a network engineer, but look after the SCCM solution we have.
We would like to pay our hardware vendor to bring new pcs to site and install them on the users desks. They can provide us with a text file containing the computers name in our company format and the machines mac address (eg PC123562*43:f3:00:e1:f3).
The local hard disks are blank and the bios is set to 1st boot PXE.
Currently on the old network, when a brand new machine connects to the network we press F12 to pxe boot. SCCM has a task sequence deployed to the unknown machines collection and with a combination of UDI, VBS scripts and TS variables is able to determine
where the machine is physically, what model and deploys the wmi file, drivers, packages and updates. This is working fantastic for us.
so my question....
Once we have the new network in place and NAP, unknown machines won't be allowed onto the network as NAP won't have a record of it in AD. How then do we go about being able to PXE boot machines and deploy images to them?
has anyone else been able to successfully deploy images to the unknown machines collection in a NAP environment?
Can the NAP server have a rule against SCCM objects? We could import the new machines into the SCCM database which the NAP server could reference?
I'm still waiting for the new engineer to come back to me with models of switches and how they are using those in conjunction with the new 2012 nap servers. My feeling is they are using an nps profile set to "if machine object does not exist in
ad, do not obtain an ip from dhcp"

Add the PXE enabled DP to the NPS Remediation Server Group. I've never had to do this but in theory it should work. NPS should not allow the computer to get an IP address but it should redirect it to contact the DP.

I'm starting to think I basically have two options (unless I'm missing something). Create a new VLAN for un-authenticated machines and stick them in there whilst they are imaged....or go down the Intel AMT route.
Neither option is ideal to be honest. There are times where we have to image quite old machines (no amt technology onboard) which will be unknown to both sccm and nps. The vlan option isnt great either as we are opening ourselves up and having
to mess around bring new servers online for this "safe area"
The best way would be to create an NPS policy saying something like "if machine exits in sccm all systems collection allow lan access"

Unable to capture startup and shutdown event of Photoshop in automation Plugin.

I am creating an automation plugin and I want to register some events. I have seen listener plugin sample to register event in startup and unregister event in shutdown. I have used same code in my plugin but I am unable to capture the startup nad shutdown event of Photoshop. On clicking the menu item of my plugin the calls come inside the AutoPluginMain but during the startup or shutdown of plugin, the calls does not come inside the AutoPluginMain.
I am unable to detect the cause of the problem. Can someone please giude me??

Yes, I am working on Windows. As you suggested, I compiled .rc file but the compile option for .r file was disabled. After compiling the .rc file, I again rebuild the complete project and tested my build. But still I was not able to achive the desired result.

When I sync my iPod to my MacBook through iTunes new events do not show up and old events are not deleted. I am using Snow Leopard and not iSync.

I am using Snow Leopard on a MacBook. I have an iPod touch 3G. I do not use iSync it Mobile Me. When I sync my iPod through iTunes new events on my iPod do not show up on my Mac and old events do not delete. I have read help instructions that include deleting the data on the iPod. The iPod has the correct data and the Mac does not so I have not followed those instructions. I need help as the only reason I bought the Mac was to be able to sync, back up, view and print my calendar. Currently it is useless. If only Apple could have learned from the elegance of the Palm software.

System Events (Default)
The event is passed to the application server, but does not trigger the PAI. If you have registered an event handler method in your ABAP program for the event (using the SET HANDLER statement), this method is executed on the application server.
Within the event handler method, you can use the static method SET_NEW_OK_CODE of the global class CL_GUI_CFW to set a function code and trigger the PAI event yourself. After the PAI has been processed, the PBO event of the next screen is triggered.
The advantage of using this technique is that the event handler method is executed automatically and there are no conflicts with the automatic input checks associated with the screen. The disadvantage is that the contents of the screen fields are not transported to the program, which means that obsolete values could appear on the next screen. You can work around this by using the SET_NEW_OK_CODE method to trigger field transport and the PAI event after the event handler has finished.
Application Events
The event is passed to the application server, and triggers the PAI. The function code that you pass contains an internal identifier. You do not have to evaluate this in your ABAP program. Instead, if you want to handle the event, you must include a method call in a PAI dialog module for the static method DISPATCH of the global class CL_GUI_CFW. If you have defined an event handler method in your ABAP program for the event (using the SET HANDLER statement), the DISPATCH method calls it. After the event handler has been processed, control returns to the PAI event after the DISPATCH statement and PAI processing continues.
The advantage of this is that you can specify yourself the point at which the event is handled, and the contents of the screen fields are transported to the application server beforehand. The disadvantage is that this kind of event handling can lead to conflicts with the automatic input checks on the screen, causing events to be lost.

Problems setting up Verizon DSL (DHCP) and AirPort Extreme

I have Verizon DSL with DHCP and old router (Linksys WRT54G). I've bought iMac and new router (AirPort Extreme) to connect to iMac wirelessly. I have a Windows computer connected to the Linksys WRT54G. Now here is the story. I can connect verizon DSL modem (it's in bridge mode) to PC directly and connect to the Internet. When I plug AirPort between the DSL modem and PC, auto-configuration doesn't work, AirPort utility says there is problem with internet connection. Router simply can't obtain IP address from verizon's DHCP server. I've tried to copy DNS server addressed from the IP configuration in Windows, the AirPort light went green and Windows indicated connection as successful, however I still cound't browse the Internet because gateway is not set. Any ideas how to make AirPort connect to the internet using DHCP instead of manual settings? I can try to do it from the mac if needed, I don't think it would make any difference though.

Sorry, I can't quite track exactly what you are trying to do.
What would the network that you are trying to set up look like?
Modem>AirPort Extreme>Computers? Are you saying that you won't be using the Linksys in the new setup?
Sounds like you need to set the Airport Extreme up to supply PPPoE service (which the Linksys is doing now-if the modem is in bridge mode), but I will wait for your response before offering specific info.
If you've been fiddling with settings, we may need to do a hard-reset on the AX to start over. You should not be fiddling with DNS, etc. Almost always, these settings are done automatically when you have the device set up correctly.

I read and do with sample at the View Controller Programming Guide . But when run it only view TabBar with title but haven't got any TabBarItem on it. Enhancement Summary
Two user exits are needed to determine the correct G/L Account and Cost Center on Shipment Cost documents and post the Material Group on the Accounting document. BADI_SCD_ACCTG and Business Event 1120P can be used to accommodate the new functionality.
Business Process
Specific G/L Accounts and Cost Centers have to be determined to post on the Shipment Cost document. This is needed to provide accurate management reporting capabilities on shipments for Sales Order or Stock Transfer Order. A new custom table must be created which contains the following information: Distribution, Mode of Transport, Account, Cost Center Material group. Distribution is an identifier here if this shipment originated from an SO or STO.
There are no screens involved in this enhancement.

User exit BADI BADI_SCD_ACCTG will be used to determine the correct G/L Account, Cost Center and Product Group based on Distribution and Mode of Transport. This BADI gets called only when a new Shipment Cost document get created.
Once the BADI determined the new values it populates field c_vfkn-sakto with the G/L account, field c_vfkn-kostl with the Cost Center and exports the Product group to memory.
There is no field on the Shipment Cost Document to store the Product group. Therefore another mechanism must be used to get the Product Group on the accounting document.
Business Event 1120P can be used to import the Product group out of memory and put it on BSEG-MATNR. Structure BSEG_SUBST must be enhanced with field MATNR for this purpose.

Custom Table A look-up Table needs to be maintained for Distribution, Mode of Transport, G/L Account, Cost Center and Material Group

Append Structure To enhance structure BSEG_SUBST with MATNR
 Business Add-In BADI_SCD_ACCTG can be used to determine the account assignments for a shipment cost item to set the G/L Account and Cost Center. All data needed to determine the new information gets provided in this BADI.
Logic:
 Determine if STO or SO based on Document Category from internal table I_REFOBJ-VTRLP field VGTYP If is C then Distribution type is Sales Order (Primary and Secondary Excluding Refinery 2 ) else we need to check the receiving plant. If the receiving plant (I_REFOBJ-VTRLK field WERKS) is a refinery the Distribution type is Primary (1) else its a (Primary and Secondary Excluding Refinery 2 ). Refineries can be identified via Function Module ZPLANTCLASSIFICATION. The plant must be passed into Import Parameter IP_SAPPLANT and field INT_PLANTCHAR-ATNAM must be looked up with value SAPTYPE. If it exists and field ATWRT contains RFY, the plant is a refinery.
 Product Group can be determined from the Material master through Material group field MARA-MATKL.
 Mode of Transport will be passed in the BADI in VTRLK-OIC_MOT.
 Select single entry from table ZTABLE1based on Distribution, Mode of Transport and Material Group. If nothing gets selected, error message No entry exists in table ZTABLE1for Distribution (distribution), MOT (MOT) & Mat. Group (material group) should be triggered.
 Move ZTABLE1-SAKNR to c_vfkn-sakto and ZTABLE1-KOSTL to c_vfkn-kostl

Apple Airport Extreme Base Station for PPPoE, DHCP and NAT with ActionTec DSL modem

I just spent several hours trying to track down proper instructions for setting up my Apple AEBS to do the PPPoE, DHCP and NAT while connected to an ActionTec M1000 (no wireless module). It turns out my initial set ups on both devices were correct, but that the order for rebooting and reconnecting the two devices is critical. All of the threads I found on this forum and on many others suggested this was not possible, but it is. What I don't yet know is whether it is the best method for running my home network DSL connection to my ISP (CenturyLink).

The proper settings for the ActionTec DSL Modem can be found under Advanced Setup/IP Adressing/WAN IP Address
Click RFC 1483 Transparent Bridging then click on Apply.

To reduce time, do this BEFORE you reset your AEBS then set the AEBS so that you don't have to wait for the AEBS to reboot.
In contrast to what Brandon described for the Q1000 modem, my AEBS never reconnected to the modem (he describes his as getting an IP from his ISP, then dropping it then getting another over and over - mine never got an IP). Once you have reset both devices as described, the critical steps I have not found described elsewhere were:
1. Disconnect the power from both the modem and the Airport Extreme.
2. Disconnect the Ethernet cable between the two devices
3. Restore power to the 2 devices and allow them to fully reboot. For the ActionTec M1000, this is indicated when the lights stop blinking. (Note that the Internet light will NOT be lit in this instance since the modem is acting only as a bridge. You will NOT have an Internet connection until the AEBS is reconnected.) The AEBS will be blinking yellow.
4. Reconnect the Ethernet cable between the devices (make sure on the M1000 that you are using the connector with the circle icon over it, not the arrow icon).
Within about 60 seconds, the AEBS light went to steady green and the connection to the Internet was restored.
Now I have to see if this is a more stable configuration than the flaky one I had before while using the AEBS as a bridge and the M1000 to do everything.
Does anyone think or know if it will make a difference?

No one can accurately predict in advance what the actual results might be. I've tried both ways with different products and cannot say that one method is better than the other. What works is best.
In theory, it is preferable to have the modem provide the PPPoE connection service since it is the device connected directly to the Internet.
In practice, results vary depending on the service provider, products used, phase of the moon, alignment of the planets, etc.

Newly entered contacts and calendar events entered on my IPhone 5s are not syncing to google.
Facts that may be pertinent:
- I switched from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5s and did the easy option of having it automatically set up like my previous phone, so I did not change any part of the setup. It is possible that it stopped syncing at that time, based on which contacts have synced and which haven't.
- My gmail account is set up as Exchange, with Mail, Contacts, and Calendars set to sync.
- Server: m.google.com, Use SSl is on, S/MIME is off (I don't actually know what these are, but maybe they matter?)
- Fetch New Data / Gmail account is set to Push
- Contacts and Calendar Default Account is Gmail
- In the Contacts app under Groups I have only GMAIL checked.
I've read that Google recommends CardDAV, which I gather is not the same as Exchange?
I'm afraid to delete anything and start over, for fear of losing my contacts.
Is there a difference between the gmail account I set up and what the Contacts app calls GMAIL?
If there is anything I should communicate about how things are set up on the Google end, let me know.

Go to Preferences in the main menu
Hit Reset Sync History
I'm pretty sure this is how I fixed it... so far so good.

How are you syncing? Are you syncing through itunes, icloud or both? Most issues come from syncing the same data/content from more than one source.

Assuming you activated iCloud, try going to Settings>iCloud and make sure Calendars and Contacts are set to ON.
