DI 11.7.2 and SAP ERP interface

Hi,
We have installed DI 11.7.2. We are able to access SAP ERP tables using designer. When we schedule the job to extract data from ERP tables, we are getting SAP RFC libraries are missing. Please advise what additional component we have to install in the job server to interface SAP ERP systems. Thanks.

There is "mySAP ERP 2004" which is the marketing name for a bunch of functionality provided by several different bits of software components.

Kinldy make clear cut query before you look for an answer to that!
To check for the WAS-J2EE Stack installation - kindly use the following link to access your WAS j22 Start page "http://hostname:5XX00" where XX will be the System No. for SAP System.
Incase if you want to find out that you have a EP installed: goto:-
"http://hostname:5XX00/irj"
For XI , you can go to "http://hostname:5XX00/rep"
Incase the links work properly the software component is installed.
PREREQUISITE for the above CHECKS:
1) The system number should be correct.
2) The Fully qualified domain name should be used for the hostname.
3) The Software components and the J2EE Stack should be operational.
(ON the SAP SERVER)On OS level --> you can Go and have a look for the following directories existence --->
1) usr/sap/SID/DV*.../j2ee,
2) usr/sap/SID/DV*.../SDM
This means that you have atleast the Java Stack installed on your SAP Server.
Next in the task manager(WINDOWS) / process level(UNIX) you can check if you have process "jlaunch process under the sidadm owner".
In SAP Frontend-GUI :
You can login and go to T-Code ST11 and check for the log files
dev_disp, dev_dispatcher, dev_server0, dev_jcontrol, dev_bootstrapID.......,
these file will give you info regarding the J2ee stack and its components....

ERP 2005 and SAP ERP 6.0 are same

Hi friends,
First of all why i have asked ERP 2005 and SAP ERP 6.0 are same or not because i am creating a new system under transaction solution_manager in the solman system for the installation of the EHP4 packs.
The problem here is when i create a new system for SAP ERP, the product version that is displayed is SAP ERP 2005, my system doesn't show SAP ERP 6.0, will that make much difference.
IsSAPERP 2005 and SAP ERP 6.0 are same.

You need at least SolMan SP17 to get EHP4.

SAP MDM field status and SAP ERP field status

Just wanted to understand what are the implications of a field status mismatch between SAP MDM and SAP ECC for Vendor Masters. Further, what happens in a scenario where the vendor master data is changed directly in SAP ECC. I am presuming that both systems will not be in sync as the MDM system talks one way and updates the SAP ECC system. Or is there a feasibility whereby any change carried out in SAP ECC is also routed back to SAP MDM.

Basically MDM is implemented in order to maintain Master Data at single location, such that control can be incorporate in flow of Master Data.
Thus it is recommended that master data should be changed or created in MDM itself and than syndicated to other systems.
But in case Master Data need to be changed in ECC, MDM ABAP API's can be used to update data in MDM Repositories directly from ECC so that Master Data remains in Sync.
(Using MDM ABAP APIs, code can e developed in ECC to update fields in MDM.)

I am a FI consulant and now i would like to know the functionalities avialable in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 and SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5. So i request you to pleasae check and provide me answers to the below points for my understanding
1. What are the new functionalities added in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 on SAP FI side.
2. What are the new functionalities added in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 on SAP FI side.Finally what is difference between EHP4 and EHP5, i mean in the point of SAP FI functioanliy.
In the meantime, please provide me the links where i can get complete information on the new functionalities added on FI side in these Enhancement Packages (ie 4/5).

Enhancements packages contains tens to hunderds of new or changed functionalites (called business functions). After installing an enhancement package you can activate the business functions which can be usefull to you.
To have an idea which business function can be usefull, you can use the business function prediction. Based on the (FI) transactions you use in the system, it gives an advice which business functions in an enhancement package should be activated.

I need interchange informacion between NON-SAP system and SAP ERP using web services
I know publish web services in SAP ERP, but I don't know how SAP consume a WS of other system
Please, somebody know how can I do it this ? I don't want that XI consume this WS, I want that SAP ERP consume it.

we can do it using Webdynpro for Java or ABAP. In addtiion to this check wtih any EDI related ones or ALE-IDOCS.

Is there any upragde tools for SAP B1 to SAP ERP?

I know, SAP B1 and SAP ERP are totally different SAP products.
In my mind, maybe we should implement the new SAP ERP, and then, migrate the old master data from B1 to ERP...
So, is there any upragde tools or procedure (or data migration tools)for the project of upgrade SAP B1 to SAP ERP?
Is there any documentation for this?

I don't find Inst.Master which is required to start up the installation. Where to download it and what specific version I need to download for EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0 IDES ?
Are there any JAVA COMPONENTS that I need to download before starting installation like Java Component BS2005SR3 or Java Component NW 7.0 SR3 ?? and SAP ERP 6.0 SR3 Components for EHP3 do we have similar components for EHP7 ?

   We are in the process of implementing a new SAP Structure.
    We are taking a hosted model from vendor which is called SBH (Subscription Based Hosting) of SAP Solution
So my question to all experts is that, what is the exact difference between SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP Solution SBH model.
   If any comparison chart, it would be helfull.

Looking at the image below, you will find out that ECC6 is under SAP ERP, and SAP ERP is under SAP Solution:
SAP solution is of a bigger element and ECC 6 is a component of it.

I'm looking for some basic and important differences between SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP ERP 4.7 Versions from purely technical perspective.
Also please list some major advantages of using ECC 6.0.

I'm expecting answers like:
- ECC6 is available with Net-weaver WAS JAVA+ABAP.
- It supports Adobe forms.
- While executing debugging in report, 2 sessions are opened. 1 for program and another for debugging mode.

Lotus Notes 7.0.1/7.0.2 and SAP Business Workflow

Hi Everyone!
Please help me on this.
My client has received an email from IBM that they could have their SAP Connector free of charge if they are to upgrade their current Lotus connector ver5 to version 7.0.2. This version has included Workflow Integration as part of IBM's integration points with SAP.
Does anyone have an experience on integrating the two? Please share documents or procedures on how to integrate them.
My current configuration is intended for a 1-way communication integration.
I used the report RSWUWFML2 for sending notifications (though in my case, it only sends a message that there were workitems present in the recipient's SAP inbox). The SMTP configuration works fine. The client has not yet purchased the SAP connector.
If the SAP Connector is now available, the 2-way communication will be imposed.
I am planning to configure a 1-way communication integration where it could work either on a 1-way or 2-way communication. Is this possible?
Can I have a configuration (for sending of workitems to Lotus mail or internet mail) which could have a link that connects the recipient to the transaction for approval or workitem execution?

Yes, XI has build in JDBC adapter used to connect to database applications. In your case, if your oracle system is sender, then you can choose JDBC sender, if it is receiver, then you can use JDBC receiver.
By default, XI does not have JDBC driver installed, you must deploy the driver first, there is How -To document from SAP, you can easily search on the forum to get it.
