DI-624 Reset

I reset my DI-624 to the factory default, but it does not accept the admin username and blank password.  What do I do now?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

The solution was "admin" for user and "password" for password.

  • Safari won't open, can't even reset

It works fine on my admin account, but won't work on my daily account. I tried clearing cache and stuff, but no joy. I can't reset because nothing comes up, and if I mouse over the task bar I just get the spinning beach ball of death. I would post the crash report, but I keep getting errors that row 1 is too wide or something. This is ridiculous. I just want my Safari back, I don't like Firefox.

Sorry, looks like they changed the way the crash log works at some point and went to individual files for each report.

  • Unable to connect to D-Link DI-624 (ver.C) using iBook G4

This question is on behalf of my friend. I tried to get her iBook G4 onto the D-Link DI-624 Wireless network but was unable to access the internet. Wired is fine though. The router is setup with WEP 40bit ASCII passphrase and is broadcasting the SSID, but for some reason as soon as the iBook's Network DHCP grabs a valid IP address, the wireless connection is lost (ie. antenna dims). Additionally, when the iBook momentarily connects to the wireless network, her Windows PC's lose network connection, then vice-versa. I found this to be very strange, and have never come across this problem before with any other router. Any ideas?
Here's her configs from what I remember:
    - WEP 40bit ASCII
    - Channel 6
    - Router is using DHCP
    - 1 Wintel machine hard-wired
    - 2 Wintel machines using wireless
    - iBook G4 can access any other router perfectly fine (ie. Library, School, Coffee Shops, etc)
Thanks in advance for any help.

I expect you may have figured this out by now...but in case you didn't I had a similar problem getting by iBook back on a DI-624 wireless network.
After much grinding of teeth what ended up working was "simply" resetting the network connection within the iBook's System Preference/Network.
So this is what it finally took me to get back on: I actually reconnected directly to the broadband modem (ethernet) first in order to updated to OS 10.4.4. There are some improvements within security and wireless connections and its been mentioned by a number of others in the discussion groups. There are certainly those who feel the update has created problems but I know plenty of folks who are using it and haven't had any issues.
From the sounds of it you probably know how to reset your iBook network preferences. I also turned off WEP (as suggested by DI-Link) just to make sure I could get the connection back. I also reset the DI-624 to my configuration, which is easy to do within your browser (if you don't have your quick start manual you can get on line from DLink). I then re-configured the iBook's network preferences again to make ApplePort as the priority connection and shut down the laptop.
Powered off the broadband modem for at least a couple of minutes. Powered down the DI-624 for a minute or so and then back on. Powered up the modem. When the modem recycling was completed I powered up the laptop.
At that point the reconnection to the network was back. After I reconnected wirelessly I went back in and reset the WEP. I shut down the laptop, powered down the modem again and back on after a couple of minutes. It seems like a unnessary step but in previous experience recycling the broadband connection got everything working in sync. Powered up the iBook and everythings back to working....knock on wood. It's been working fine for the past couple of weeks without a hitch (or hick-up)

  • DI-624 Wireless Router - Airport Extreme network tips

I have had problems with my D-Link DI-624 (rev.c) wireless router with WPA encryption ever since the recent AirPort updates, so I decided to post a solution in the hope that this may help someone who is also having the same issue.
This also might help people having issues with other older D-Link wireless router products. I've been using a couple of 624 models for about 4 years, and they're generally very good routers for their generation.
    *The problem:*
I was experiencing wireless connection drops using WPA-PSK with the AES cipher on an Intel Mac Mini (late 2006) - Airport Extreme AND a PPC Mini. The minis are about 30 ft away from the router, through several walls.
I would get a connection drop randomly, maybe once every 15 minutes when the connection wasn't being used. I would have to disable airport, then enable it for a connection to the network to be re-acquired. This really annoyed people on IM, as I'd bounce on and off-line intermittently!
    *The solution:*
    - Use the latest firmware for the router (August 2006 - 2.76)
    - Use WPA-PSK on the router for security (I do not recommend WEP because of the ease and speed of cracking WEP keys)
    - IMPORTANT: Use TKIP cipher, not AES
    - Disable Wireless Super-G (you can experiment later on if you have a "known good configuration")
    - Disable 'extended range mode' (allows connections < 1megabit, useless for me)
    - Change router wireless channel to 1 (for me, to avoid interference with other duelling wireless networks on channel 11)
I can't use WPA2 because I have a couple of Sony devices which do not support WPA2. I believe that if you don't have these devices, it might be better to use WPA2 with TKIP.
So, here's my 2 cents - hope it helps someone! If it does, reply to this thread.

Properly configured, the AirPort should provide both wired and wireless network client with Internet access.
At this point, I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, AirPort base station, and computer(s).
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
Power-up the AirPort base station; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has intialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
    Power-up your computer(s).
If the above steps do not solve the problem, start over with step 1 above, but then perform the next steps between steps 1 & 2. above.
Disconnect the AirPort base station from the Internet broadband modem.
While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Reconnect the AirPort base station to the Internet broadband modem. For the Extreme and Time Capsule, be sure to connect the cable to the base station's WAN (circle-of-dots) port.
Continue with step 2 in the first set of steps.
In this basic configuration, the AirPort base station will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options. Please post back your results.

  • DI-624 Toasted by Tiger?

I read many other threads here about people having problems with their DI-624 after installing 10.4.6. Frequent disconnects seems to be common, and I had many of those. Until yesterday when all the router status lights came on and stayed on. Soft reset. Hard Reset. Unplug and reset. Reset and pray.
This thing is now paperweight material.
Hooked up a spare Linksys I had laying around. Immediately had connection, and surprisingly to me, had a much improved signal throughout the house. This surprised me because when I had done the research on the DLink, it was noted in the reviews for its better signal over the Linksys. NOT TRUE!
Anyways, hope this saves someone the frustration I went through.

Would anyone know whether the DI-634 can function
in wired mode for one Mac running OS 9 while also
connecting wirelessly to an Airport equipped Mac
    running 10.4?
In other words can this router, ostensibley an OS X
compatible device simultaneously serve as a wired hub?
    Thanks - Tom

  • USB device constantly being reset

I thought I may have had an issue with usbcore's autosleep functionality but I appear to be dead wrong. I have a pretty specialty piece of hardware called "MiniMaid" that adapts a specific arcade cabinet (Konami's Dance Dance Revolution) for use with an open source project called "StepMania" - I'm using a fork of said project that aims to accurately emulate Roxor Game's "In The Groove 2" software called "OpenITG." What's happening is periodically, Minimaid gets detached from the system entirely, and forcibly. It doesn't properly detach, which would be it shutting off the lights and input prior to detaching from the system. Instead, everything is left in its current state, and input dies with it. This is obviously an issue, the game doesn't work properly without lights and input. The card works perfectly on Windows - but the software doesn't work well there. So I moved over to Linux because it's much more friendly for the software environment. Everything is good except this device dying periodically. Originally I had thought that usbcore was suspending the device periodically (the thought came since it was dying once every 15 minutes or so) which made sense because the game software forcibly detaches the USB device from the Kernel and then attaches it to the game executable. I tried various autosuspend variable adjustments with little luck; but then I decided to investigate a little more in depth:

This is clearly an issue. It's a miracle that I get 15 minutes of consistent anything out of the PCB with how often it's getting reset. What can I try to alleviate this without reverting everything to USB 1.1 speeds? Player memory cards are USB 3.0 enabled right now and that helps since the profile data can be up to 100mb in size...

I'm using a fork of said project that aims to accurately emulate Roxor Game's "In The Groove 2" software called "OpenITG."
because the game software forcibly detaches the USB device from the Kernel and then attaches it to the game executable
Have you tried with the original stepmania to check if the problem is only in the fork or more generic ?

  • Airport extreme and DI-624 big problems

heya. setting up a wireless home network. 2 laptops, one WindowsXP and a Powerbook G4 with built in airport wifi. Router is a d-link DI-624. latest firmware on the router. cable internet connection.
Router is set up with no security, pretty much all default options (channel 6 , mixed b/g mode) the Windows XP pc connects no problems. But the instant i turn on the Airport on the powerbook, the router will reset itself, and keep resetting itself every 10 seconds or so. if i turn off Airport, everything goes back to normal for the router.
tried using an ethernet cable, the exact same thing happens. router resets itself instantly and keeps resetting itself. so it's not just a wireless issue. i can only deduce its a setting on either the mac or the router that isnt compatible.
Under the Airport section i can actually see the the SSID of my network but it can't connect to it (router always rebooting itself).
any special options i need to change in the router, or on the mac? all help appreciated.

Based on a search of this issue on the internet, this seems to an often reported problem with the DI-624. Did you just purchase this router - ie can you still return it. If so, I suggest you get a different make/model. There is no need to put up with this sort of hassle when there are so many other great wireless router products out there.

  • Error while resetting a cleared document

    Hi everyone,
I am getting an error while resetting a cleared invoicing document 'Document xxxxxxxxxxx with origin R4 can not be reversed'. Please guide me how can we reset the clearing of this document.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
You need to reset all clearing for the corresponding FICA document for the print document.
Reset the clearing for the document no. mentioned in the output for EA13 execution.
You need to reset all the clearing for the document, before reversing the same.
To get all the clearing document, go to DFKKOP table, enter the FICA document no. (for the print document on FPL9). Get all AUGBL documents,
Alternatively, you can go on to FPL9 screen, double click on the consumption document, in the basic data you will see the clearing date (if it is cleared), expand the view their (click on + sign), you will se the clearing document no,
Pass the above clearing document no, to FP07, and once all the clearing is reset for the invoice, you can reverse the corresponding invoice through EA13.
    Regards,

  • Global data getting reset when running under IIS?

We have a scenario using IIS with an ASP.NET web service written in VB.NET. When a call to the web service is made, the web service calls a native dll (written in C, compiled using VS2010) using platform invoke, which in turn calls into our product API:
    VB.NET web service -> native library (p/invoke) -> native API ....
Web service requests are successfully completed and the system runs without problem for hours. A trace of the native API shows it is being called by multiple processes and multiple threads within those processes.
The main native API dll contains a static global variable used to detect whether it is the first time it has been called and run initialization logic if it is. This dll is itself linked to a second dll that contains a global variable used to detect if it is
the first time it has been called.
After some hours the trace shows that the native API is invoked by an existing process but that the initialization logic is being exercised again, even though the global variable was set to indicate not first time and is never reset.  One theory was that
the first process has ended and a new process has started almost instantaneously using the same process ID. However this is not the case as existing thread IDs from the same process are seen to write to the trace again after the first time logic has executed
for the second time, indicating the process has not restarted. The problem occurs regularly.
It is as though the process's global data has been initialized again and malloc'ed memory freed while the processing is still running. Is there any way this is possible when running under IIS?
There is an internal thread which waits on a blocking read of a named pipe (via ReadFile), and when the problem occurs, the ReadFile call ends with ERROR_NO_ACCESS, which appears to indicate the malloc'ed buffer is no longer valid, again implying something
has happened to the memory allocated to the process.

  • I've just found that three movies I've bought from iTunes on on my iPad are not showing up on Apple TV or anywhere other than that iPad.  What's up with that and will I lose these films if I reset this iPad?

I've just found that three movies I've bought from iTunes on on my iPad are not showing up on Apple TV or anywhere other than that iPad.  What's up with that and will I lose these films if I reset this iPad?

Thanks.  The reason this has become an issue is that I recently bought a new Macbook Air that the iPad is not synced to.  The one is was synced to was stolen.  If I want to sync this iPad to the new Air, won't it be wiped before I'm able to copy these films or am I wrong about that?

  • Hi, I am trying to update an iPhone 4 from iOS 4.3.3 to iOS 7.0.4, and every time I try to update it comes up with an error message saying that there was a problem because the network connection was reset. Is there any way I can get past this and update?

    The full message said:
There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone "Judy's iPhone 4". The network connection was reset.
Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later.
I am trying to update the iPhone for my grandmother, Judy, as I am leaving for Paris on Wednesday night and we want to have Facetime installed on her iPhone before then, so we can stay in contact with each other. It is the simplest way for this to happen but the program simply will not allow me to update her iPhone.
Is there any way to get past this error and update her iPhone? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Dear Jody..jone5

  • Reset Cleared Documents and Vendor Open Items Report FBL1N

    Hi all,
    I have following scenario:
    - In last month, we had 2 documents (invoice and payment) cleared against each other. We created open items report as well as open items correspondence sent to Vendor. Obviously, the docs were not included in report.
    - In this month, we have reset and reverse clearing document of the documents. We create report again with the open key date as in last month. It should not include the 2 docs but it did with whichever key date we chose.
Is there any setting that open item report doesn't include cleared item at the key date when we run report for previous month?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Dau

    Hi Dau,
If i understand you correctly then you posted and paid invoice in Jan 2012 and generated the open line item report for Jan which correctly did not include this cleared invoice.
Now in Feb 2012 you reset and reversed this payment document.
The issue is when you execute the report FBL1N again then you get the open line item for this invoice correct. Please confirm what is the open item key date that you are using here for generating this report
If you keep it 31.01.2012 then definetly this invoice should not appear in the report but if you keep that 29.12.2012 then this line item would for sure appear.
The importance of key date is to limit the report to certain date. The system selects all items posted up to and including the specified key date and open for this period.
so I think your issue is with the key date.
    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Prasad

  • Iphone4...got soaked, works after reset, now wont reactivate and shows error 0XE8000004

    Hi all,
I have a 32gig iPhone4 that I purchased second hand. Recently I knocked it into the toilet...I turned it off straight away, left it to dry.
After 5 days drying I gave it a full charge, turned it on and the display was all sketchy. I've kept trying with it, realised that the display would function fine at times so have I put it in recovery mode, factory reset it and managed to get it out of recovery mode.
I'm back at a fresh start, however when trying to activate the handset via iTunes I keep getting the same error....'0xE8000004'
Can anyone shed any light on this error and how I can get this phone back up and running?
    Thanks you in advance

Yes i've tried pretty much all of them steps, only thing I cannot try is another computer but to be honest I cant see any real reason it being my laptops fault as its been fine since day dot.
Not really sure which step to take next to be honest...any suggestions appreciated!
