DI al_engine Process keeps running after completion of job

We have DI installed on Unix. We have been noticing multiple al_engine processes in active status even when there are no DI jobs running. In order to get rid of these processes, we have been periodically bouncing the server. Is there a cleaner way of releasing these processes.
Thanks,

first you need to find out what are these process, do you have any  real time jobs configured?
does any of your batch jobs in hanging state ?

  • Adobe processes keep running after closing program!

    Hello,
I have this issue with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder and Audition but not with Photoshop, Dreamweaver etc.
Everytime I close one of those programs the respective process keeps running in the background.
I can't restart the program until I go to the task manager and kill the process (AfterFX.exe, Adobe Premiere Pro.exe, pproheadless.exe)
I already tried a clean uninstall with the cleaner tool and reinstall but the problem remains.
I encountered this problem few months ago after a longer break from Adobe.
    Never had any problems before.
I cloned my complete system with Acronis on a new SSD few months ago..
can't remember anything else with much impact which could have triggered this.
    System: Win7 x64
    Software: Adobe CC

I found the Solution (for me at least)
It seems to be a driver problem with graphic cards from nvidia's 600 series.
I have installed the oldest available driver for my GTX 680 and everything works fine now (some newer drivers might also work)
I'm gonna write a e-mail to the Nvidia support and tell them what happened, pls do the same if you found the solution due to this post and
upcoming drivers gonna work well for us again.
    best regards

  • Firefox process keeps running after closing

If i close Firefox i cannot reopen it afterwards because the process is still running in the taskbar.
I already disabled all plugins and addons but this didn't work.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall (without deleting personal data) without success.
If i start firefox in safe mode the problem also occures.
If i start firefox with another user on my pc there is no problem.
    Anyone an idea?

  • Firefox disappears but its process keeps running

For the past few weeks, Firefox's window has been often disappearing out of the blue as if the browser crashed, but the browser's process keeps running in the task manager and I have to kill it to restart it. No crash report is ever generated. This happens often on websites that use Flash such as Youtube, Grooveshark and Imgur. I've disabled hardware acceleration but the crashes still occur. Please help.

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
*check for updates for your graphics drive drivers<br>https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

  • How to schedule a job to run after completion of each run using DBMS_JOB ?

    Hi Gurus,
Please let me know if the subject requirement can be fulfilled. I want to schedule a job using DBMS_JOB to run a script sequentially after completion of each run.
    Thanks in advance.
    Santosh

    Hi Santosh
Instead to use the old dbms_job package use the dbms_scheduler and raise / catch events.
Oracle create dbms_scheduler also for this purpose you need.
You can find tons of examples on the web.

Just wondering if there is anything I can do to see if I can fix my system, others in the forum can't replicate this issue...
Would re-installing the audio driver help?  I don't want to do this unless I have to or if there are any other suggestions to try...

    Hi,
There are no physical audio or midi devices attached.  I have HP ENVY 17 j005xt Notebook PC and has built-in audio HDT High Definition Audio CODEC sound card - and has the latest available drivers for this card already installed supplied by HP
    as OEM.

  • Computer Keeps Running after Windows Shuts Down

I recently installed XP SP2 for the first time.  Now, when I shut down Windows, the OS shuts down fine and the screen goes blank, but the computer itself keeps running for about 15 seconds.  This has never happened before.  Any ideas?

Try a more powerful power supply.  It normal rated load on the 12v rail is only 4.5 amps with a max of 16.

  • IPhone sync on Windows XP - SyncServer keeps running after disconnect

When connecting iPhone to sync, after disconnect process SyncServer.exe continues to run using more and more memory. Eventually, system is at 100%. Only way to stop it is to run AVG virus scan. Anyone else encountered this problem? Don't want to try to sync phone until solved.
    thanks for all help
    Eric
    Seattle

I am experiencing the same situation with Windows XP, but on a partitioned MacBook Pro with Windows XP on the bootlegged partition. I have narrowed it down to a function of iTunes and syncing, but when I put MobileMe into the mix it overwhelms my computer and gives me the error "SyncServer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" and uses almost 90% of the processor as well.
I have uninstalled and installed iTunes and Mobile Me many times. My temporary fix, which is allowing me to "work" on the PC side is leaving the Mobile Me uninstalled.
    Anyone else have a solution?

  • Post Operation Processing Initiated status after completion of approvals

    Hi All,
I have implemented an approval work flow that has two levels of approvals. The two levels of approvals are completed successfully, but the status of the request is not changing to "Request Completed". The status of the request is showing as "Post Operation Processing Initiated".
Please let me know what needs to be done for the status of the request to be changed to "Request Completed".
Thanks in advance for your help.

Check for any manual provisioning task assigned to system admin or any other user according to the configuration you have provided and complete it. "Post Operation Processing Initiated" status comes after operation level approval gets completed and some provisioning task is pending. If everything is completed check for Task to object status mapping and change it to Provisioned as suggested by Rajiv.
If you still could not find what is the reason then connect to OIM db and query OSI and ORC tables to check the task which is in pending status.

  • Help! MacBook fan keeps running after shutdown!

Twice since getting my MacBook a month ago, I've shut down the computer and put it in its carrying case, only to later notice it still emitting heat and its fan running a couple of hours later.
None of the power indicator lights is on. I could neither get it to start up or shut down (even after holding down the power button for over 5 seconds). The only way I could jolt it awake was to plug in its power adapter and then turn it on.
One random factor that I haven't willingly checked is that this may be happening when I close the screen immediately (1 second) after shutdown is complete. Maybe I'm jolting it before it completely shuts down?
Anyone else having this problem? And has anyone found a solution? I hope I don't have a dud here.

    I've had this too.
You need to let it all shut down completely before you close the screen or move it. Don't just let the screen go black - you need to make sure everything has stoped moving etc. It seems to be a bit tempermental about this! Apparently it gets confused if you shut the lid too quickly and tries to sleep instead.
After making sure I shut down properly I haven't had the problem again.
    Hope that helped.

  • Premiere and After Effects keep running after you close them

    Hi,
After I upgraded to Premiere and After Effects CC2014 I noticed that the programs kept running in the background when I closed them. Sometimes the program's wouldn't start or shutdown seconds after starting. In After Effects I noticed that multi-processor rendering was slow. CPU utilisation would alternate between 60% and 99%. I didn't have this problems with the previous CC.
After alot of research and contacting Adobe support I found out that a simple program I had been using for ages called "ObjectDock" was causing all these problems. Without ObjectDock, everything runs smooth. I thought I'd share this with others who might face similar issues.

  • PPro, Encore & Media Encoder keep running after quit

We recently upgraded to PPro CS5 and everything seem to be working well, except that when I close Premiere, Encore or Media Encoder and then go to open them again a while later, the don't want to launch.  When I hit ctrl+alt+del, I see the problem.  Under the "Processes" tab the program is always still running.  Once I force it to quit, it will start up without a problem.
This happens every time I close these three programs and a restart doesn't fix the problem.
    Computer specs:
    Win7 64-bit
    Core i7 920
    ASRock X58 motherboard
    Radeon 4870
    500GB 7200 OS Drive
1.5 TB Raid 3 array for storage
    PPro 5.0.2
I have downloaded and installed all of the updates.

    How long a while?
    -Jeff
It varies.  Maybe a couple of minutes, maybe an hour or more.  I shut down PPro about five minutes ago and it's still listed in Processes.
    Update:
It's been about an hour now and it still hasn't quit.
