DI and SQL seem to lose connection with each other

Hello Everyone, thanks for taking the time to read my question.
I am getting the following error
System call failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010100 (RPC_E_SYS_CALL_FAILED))
i am running a very big Store Procedure which takes about 15 minutes to run outside of SAP and works well.
when i put this call through the DI using a recordset the code seems to run fine but after the 8 or 9 minute i get the above error.
My question is it seems that the recordset has a timed out.
Is there any way around this?
so far i have tried using Native SQL vb calls without luck same error Sql has reached a timeout even if i put timeout=0 within the connection string.
i have had this issue before and simply deleting temporary folders would help. but this time it happens constantly.

Thanks for your suggestion, i have come to the same conclusion but have yet to try it. the reason i am hesitant is when the data grows what will happen? would i have to break it down even more?

today was a crazy day with ichat. two of my friends were able to video chat 1 on 1. my mac is qualified to handle 3-way or 4-way chats. when they invite me, the bubble pops up. i hit accept and the loading spindle keeps on spinning for minutes until it just denies me entrance. they get an error saying i never accepted, so as soon as they invite me, they don't get any other response back.
could it be that i am on the AIM network and both of them are on the .mac network?

Yes. Apple does not have its own publicly available IM service; iChat uses the AIM network, and there are few functional differences between AIM and .Mac screen names. If they are using a client other than iChat, there may be interoperability issues with audio and video chats, or the other client may not support those types of chatting.

Problems with seeing computers on the network map but they are not able to connect with each other

Hi All,
We have 6 HP pavillion Slimline s3620f PCS(Pentium Dual COre ED200) with 10/100 and wireless connections. They are running Windows Vista Home 64. We are also trying to connect a macbook, a laptop with vista 32, and a a mac with win xp running via bootcamp. We upgraded to the WRT160Nv2 for wireless access.
We have the cable modem connected to the router. The router is connected to a switch. On the network map, all connections are working/green(can access internet). Before this, in the vista network map each computer could connect to the other. NOw each computer can only connect to the router and one particular other computer. Each computer lists itself and that one particular other computer and the router. If I look at the full map, all are listed but they cannot connect to each other.
I hope this makes sense. Any suggestions?

Drive letters and Volume label - How to associate with each other so i do not have to find my library everytime i move my external drive between my PC and MacBook Pro.

Hi, i'm having issues within the folders area of the library module.
My setup is the following. My home PC has Windows 8.1. My work laptop is a 17" MacBook Pro. The library file as well as the smart previews are all located on a dropbox drive.
My issue is that when i would like to sync changes with the original files located on a 3TB external drive i share with both the PC and Mac, the drive name changes due to Windows using a Drive letter and OSX using a Volume Label. Is there a way to associate; for example H: drive under the folders section with the External Drives Volume label so that i do not have to locate the missing files everytime i wish to synchronise?
Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated as i have switched from Aperture so i can edit my photos easily on both my Home PC and my Laptop.

Nope. You can't change operating system mechanics. They simply work differently. For such a scenario in fact a NAS connected via network interface would be more suitable and avoid the issue...

Why Internet (Safari) and Comcast High Speed at odds with each other?

I have Comcast high speed internet and I am paying for the upgraded speed.
problem is, Comcast and my computer don't speak very well to each other and there is a MASSIVE slow down on the internet.
The Comcast guy said there is some "patch" I can download and make these two finally get along.
What am I looking for? HELP!!!!

When I've had this problem with Comcast, it has affected both my Mac and my PC. With that and other things I've learned about this problem, I'm not sure I'd believe what the tech told you.
Why does it happen on some Macs and not others?
I'm not certain, but since the problem is apparently caused by something in the process of dynamically feeding you the necessary DNS addresses, there are several possibilities. In some cases, it's probably related to what Comcast market you're in (and therefore what Comcast DNS servers you're using). It might have to do how the Comcast-provided modem passes the addresses on. It might have to do with ones router (if you have one) and whether it's passing on the DNS addresses to the computers in your house properly. And it could also have something to do with issues with the particular computer, although my own experience with 3+ computers in my house (1 PC, 2+ Macs) indicates this isn't the situation, at least in my case.
There are a lot of factors in this. The only thing I know for certain is that it affects many Comcast customers across the country and that for many of us, only using alternate DNS addresses solves the problem. Talking with people more knowledgeable about these things than I am, I gather that this is a widespread problem that Comcast does not address very effectively or helpfully. :-|

LaserJet P2015d seems to lose connection with computer; I have to power cycle the printer

I purchased the LaserJet P2015D in March 2008 and have been pleased with it. However in the last several weeks it seems that my computer "loses" it, like it is not connected. I issue the print commance from my computer, I see the document in the printer cache, but it never goes to the printer. I can fix this by power cycling the printer, i.e., unplugging it and plugging it back in. After this, the cached document gets released and printed. This works most of the time. Sometimes I have to delete the cached document and re-issue the print command. My computer will see the printer for an hour or two and then I have to apply the fix again. And then in the last couple of days the toner warning light has come on constantly, and I'm pretty sure the toner cartridge is not empty. The print quality remains good.
I suspect a hardware problem, like a component (capacitor?) has failed. Are spare parts available and how can I buy them? Can anyone recommend specifically what parts might be needed?

Kmscon and regular VT conflict or interfere with each other?

I wanted to try kmscon but since there have been reports of instability I wanted to keep one regular getty/VT around.
kmscon starts fine (manually through "systemctl start") on isolated TTYs fine , but no sound (as expected) but no other strange behaviour.
for some reason alsa didn't work - "aplay -l" showed no devices on the normal or kmscon tesminal,
and 3D acceleration in virtualbox didn't work (machine wouldn't start until 3d is unchecked), with starx started from either terminal.
I've ended the experiment for now; for the next time, has anyone got this working or is keeping both around a bad idea
and second is this instability rare and I'm being overly cautious & should just go with kmscon completely?

OK, actually it looks like it's not a problem of mixing the 2 types of console, it's kmscon doing things differently. I've seen reports of the audio problem but I thought I had triggered something different because of the virtualbox issue.
so I'm logged in on a couple of kmscon's, and audio appears on none, virtualbox won't run with 3d acceleration in an xorg started from a kmscon VT, but everything works (audio, virtualbox with all features) when I'm logged in on one getty'ed console VT.

Two switches in server mode do not advertise their vlan info. with each other

I have some queries regarding the VTP advertisement as below.
Scenario.....
I have taken two switches named as switch-A and Switch-B connected with each other with port f0/1.I have defined f0/1 as trunk on both the switches.
Then i created the Vlan 2,3,4 on switch-A ,Switch-A configurations revision number got changed from 0 to 3.But when i look up the same on switch-B the revision number is 0 and the vlan that was created on Switch-A is not replicated to Switch-B.
Both Switch-A and Switch-B has default VTP domain configured i.e Null
Both the Switches are in Server mode.
On both the Switches domain password set to null.
Why the vlan is not getting advertise from Switch-A to Switch-B?.According to the vtp configuration they both belong to the same vtp domain i.e null.
So they should advertise the vlan information with each other.
Your suggestion will be appreciated on this.Awaiting for your reply

I have tried by changing the vtp domain name instead of null and it is working fine in that scenario.But my question is why not is works when the vtp domain is set to null on both the switches.

Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions. It's important to read the article carefully, as it's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem. If you skip any of the steps, the problem may not be solved. Make sure the box marked
          Remember networks this computer has joined
is checked.
2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading
          Symptom: After restarting or waking from sleep, my computer might not connect to the Internet
3. Reset the PRAM.
4. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
5. From the Location menu at the top of the Network preference pane, select Edit Locations. A sheet will drop down. Click the plus-sign button to create a new location. Give it any name you want. In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
6. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
7. Repair permissions on the startup volume.
8. Turn off Bluetooth and test.
9. Reset the System Management Controller.
10. This step shouldn't be necessary, but has been advised by Apple Support in some cases, apparently as a workaround for a bug. Open the Energy Saver pane in System Preferences. If applicable, click the padlock icon in the lower left corner to unlock the settings. Enter your administrator login password when prompted.
Select the Power Adapter tab and uncheck the boxes marked
          Wake for Wi-Fi network access

          Enable Power Nap...

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You need to turn the services you want to sync (calendars, contacts etc) on on both devices from settings > iCloud.

I lose connection with network whenever put MacBook Pro to sleep or reboot. Lost network configuration. Have to use diagnostics to relocate and reconnect. What is the fix?

Try the following, in order, until (hopefully) resolved:
1a. Delete Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > AirPort > Advanced > AirPort tab
Under "Preferred Networks," delete the network(s) you regularly use from the list.
1b. Delete AirPort Keychain Entries
Launch the "Keychain Access" application located in Applications/Utilties.
Click on the "Kind" filter at the top, and look for any "AirPort network password" entries...and delete them.
1c. Add Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > AirPort > Advanced > AirPort tab
Add the preferred network(s) using the "+" button.
Restart or log out then back in.
2. Move System Configuration Files
(Note: You will have to reestablish your network connections settings.)
Go to /Library/Preferences
Move the SystemConfiguration folder to the desktop.
Restart your Mac. (Note: OS X will rebuild the files that are now sitting on your desktop. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can move the folder back to it's original location.)

Airport loses connection with MR814 V2

I have an iBook G4. My Airport loses connection with my Netgear MR814 V2 router. The only way to get it back is to unplug / plugin the router. The connection is ok as long as I'm on the iBook. The problem seems to occur after I've shut the iBook down for the day and then the next day the connection is gone.
I also have my Windows based Dell laptop using the router (wirelessly) and never have this problem.
This is really frustrating. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I do not have the answer for you, but I am suffering the same thing with my macBook Pro. After about 15 minutes, I loses the connection, and the airport icon in the menu bar goes transparent. Nothing works to renew the connection except to unplug and re-plug my router. If you hear of any remedy, please post.

The machine could be repaired by a company that does circuit board re-soldering, since it is possible a heat-flex solder break on the main board may have caused either the processor or graphics chips to lose connection and that could manifest itself in a few somewhat documented ways.
There is an on-board RAM chip that may also have something to do with a kernel panic, if it no longer is functioning correctly; that is the non-removable one soldered on the board you never usually worry about.
Companies such as powerbookmedic, wegenermedia, and others can take in portable macs of vintage or newer (contact them for details on what they do, and how they accept work orders) for repair and can fix most anything; and have a parts inventory. Modern repair workstations allow the equipped service company to fix complex issues and they do troubleshooting. Sometimes the cost is less than a replacement logic board.

Usually the issue is caused by hardware, especially if there is an indication of machine failure in the crash log or other screen image text.
A working last model MacBook (mid-2010) would be a better 'first mac' to have.
Hopefully you can sort it out.
If not, there likely are fair parts in it.
