DI installation on NW04S

Dear Gurus,
i have installed Central system on NW04S with components
1. Engine - AS ABAP and AS JAVA
2. PI(XI)
3. EP(PortalKMGuided Procedure-CAF+Visual Composer )
4. BI(Business Intelligence)
5. BI Java Components
Server is running fine.
But i dont remember if i selected the component DI(NWDI)during the installation so how do i check this if it is installed on my server and if it is not installed then how can i installed it. is there any standalone installation exist for DI or while doing Central server installation i have to choose DI as part of instalaltion and deselect all other components from installation.
Please suggest.

Yes, it was my fault. I have only read the german sap note but this version is old fashioned (Validation till end of february, didn't see that!!)).
I have deployed the sca files over SDM menschioned in the english sap note and the NWDI is working now. We had some other problems by deploying these files because sdm and Adminstrator password were not the same. After changing it with one password the Deployment was succesfull.

It seems to me that there is no space on harddisk. Please make sure you have atleast 22 GB of free disk space and 1 GB of RAM.

Error during Database instance installation of NW04s Portal installation

   Portal - NW04s SR1 (SCS instance on one host) -- finished successfully
   Database - MS SQL Server 2005 on a separate host
We are doing a domain installation. The database was installed successfully, but when trying to install the database instance during the NW04s installation, I am getting the following errors:

Hi,
I would try adding epdadm and SAPServiceEPD accounts to Administrators group and give Administrators full access to sapmnt shared area. Also double check SAP_EPD_GlobalAdmin domain admin authority and SAP_LocalAdmin and SAP_EPD_LocalAdmin accounts.
Open
DCASAPHR05\sapmnt\EPD\SYS\profile folder using explorer and created file and see if there is any authorzation issues with domail\sapinst account.

Installation problem NW04 SP Stack 11 - Load Database

since a few days we can download the new NW04 Version SP Stack 11. Great!
I downloaded the Java Edition, not the Slim Edition and installed it on a Windows 2000 Server SP4, english Version.
During the Database Load I became the following Error, that I found in the file jload.log:

I found a workaround and I was thinking about to write it here, because it could damage your Installation!
I edited the file IMPORT.XML in the directory C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\NW04SR1\WEBAS_COPY\ONE_HOST after the problem occured. I deleted the four lines with the tables BC_EDM_EVENT and BC_EDM_PROJECT in it. After that the installation ended without errors.
As far as I can see the Enterprise portal runs without error. I can logon an was playing a little bit around, but probably the system will crash in the moment when it needs the tables. I don't know when.
Does anybody else has this problem?
Is it an error in the installation file?

Did you get any breakthrough in this issue. Because i am also facing the same issue while installling the NW04 with oracle 9.0.2.0 but during "Update Statistice" step of Database instance installation it is giving me below error.
"Unable to find library 'libclntsh.so.10.1"
I already have 3 instance running fine on the same server of ECC 5.0 which i installed with oracle 9 same database.
Please help me if you have any clue about the same my OS is HPUX-11.23.

Integrating old BW & R/3 systems with NW04s (EP7.0)

      We are working with EP 5.0 SP 5. Now we are planning to go ahead with a new installation of NW04s (EP 7.0). We have integrated BW & R/3 systems in my existing portal. The version details are as below:
Sprint BW -   3.5
Sprint SRM - SRM 4.0 and Server Component SRM 5.0
Metris BW -   3.5
HR BW      -   3.1
ESS / MSS -   4.6c
Do I need to upgrade my (BW & R/3) systems also, so as to integrate it with new portal OR can I continue using my old (BW & R/3) systems & still will be able to integrate with portal 7.0

·        If the accepting system is an SAP Systems <= Release 4.6D, then the system must have the Workplace PlugIn installed and must meet the following release requirements:

¡        Release 4.5x: 4.5B kernel as of Support Package level 459
¡        Release 4.0x: 4.0B kernel as of Support Package level 758

Upgrading Portal from NW04 Sp14 to NW04S SP 9

Hi,
We are preparing to upgrade our EP 6 , NW04 SP 14 highly available installation to NW04S SP 9. It seems JSPM is the tool that comes with NW04s SP 9 which runs the upgrade for existing NW04s systems. However NW04 SP14 does not have this tool it only has SDM. Would be grateful if someone could tell me how to start off the upgrade? Do we need to deploy the JSPM from NW04s SP9 via SDM first on existing system? or is there another tool to start this upgrade?

We encountered the same issue...
The solution was stated above...The installation log showed the following error...

Inside the dipgntab log file the following error was being reportedu2026

We then went to the command prompt to run the command that was failing manually...we added the-trace 4 tab to the end to enable additional logging.
D:\usr\sap\SD1\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\dipgntab -rwr40 -srctt DDNTT -srctf DDNTF -dsttt DDNTT -dsttf DDNTF -ttonly TT -trace 4 tab
In our case, the installation program was looking for the u201Cdbmssslib.dllu201D in the u201CD:\usr\sap\SD1\DVEBMGS00\exeu201D folder.
ERROR => DlLoadLib: LoadLibrary(D:\usr\sap\SD1\DVEBMGS00\exe\dbmssslib.dll)

Error 126 = "The specified module could not be found."

The exe folder did not yet exist. I then manually created the exe folder and copied the dbmssslib.dll and dbmssslib.pdb from the kernel directory and resumed.
The installation then completed successfully.

NW04SneakPrevJavaSP11 Installation Issue

Folks,
Need your help. I am installing the sneak preview installation of EP6.0 with NW04SneakPrevJavaSP11 and the other products came along with the download files from sdn (like DeveloperStudioSP11 etc) on Windows 2000 SP4.
It was running through until the Load Java Database Content phase. In this phase, the installation is getting struck with message in jload.log saying com.sap.inst.jload.Jload dbImport INFO: table J2EE_CONFIGENTRY created. And the jload.java.log says "com.sap.inst.jload.Jload dbImport
INFO: trying to create table CAF_RT_TYPSIT".
Earlier I tried the same on Windows 2003 SP1. Because of the above issue, I switched to Windows 2000 SP4. FYI, java process is occupying 50% of CPU resource. I am using the j2sdk1.4.2_10 for java.
Any hints? Please help.

Thanks for your valuable input.I re-started installation with NW04 SR1 components instead of SP11 sneakprev. I also moved to Wndows 2000 with SP3 but still used JSE 1.4.2_10 (without being aware of the note 716604 you mentioned. Now the installation is clean. Thanks again.

Can I use Windows Remote Desktop Assistant for installation of NW04s (Portal 7.0) on a Windows Server 2003 (x64)?
SAP recommended earlier not to use the same. But, not aware of any such guidelines now.
I appreciate your views on the same.

The only errors that I've encountered when performing installs over remote desktop were to do with the Oracle installer not finishing correctly. This was particularly evident in oracle 9.2 and I have had no issues with 10g as yet.

Error while assigning the role to the user

Hi,
error : CJS-30196. SAPBC JSF Communication role is not assigned to the user SAPJSF.
i am getting the fallowing error in installation with NW04S. while trying to assign the above role to the user.any body help me with the solution.
