Diadem 2012 Freezes on Initialization Screen on Windows 7 mahcine
I have recently had a problem starting Diadem 2012 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. The program had been running without any problems for over a year. With no other system changes Diadem 2012 freezes during the initial start/initialization window. I have tried restarting several times and have also attempted to uninstall and reinstall Diadem 2012. None of these strategies have correctd the problem. I was curious if anyone else has had any problems similar to this and if they found a solution to correct the problem. Any help of be of great assistance.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Amanda -
We were able to completely uninstall and then reinstall Diadem 2012 successfully. However, after reinstalling we were still freezing on the start-up/initialization screen. Diadem never fully loads, the Windows process just goes to 0. We attempted to close all applications and try to start Diadem, in case it was a RAM issue. However, this did not solve the problem either.
We previously have not had any issues with this and currently it is only happening on one machine. Is it possible that Diadem is freezing because it is trying to index a folder structure or something? I trided to turn of the data indexer, but that didn't seem to help. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike

brand new OS X Mountain Lion Bought in November 2012 starts in grey screen login window doesn't know me, went to utility dIsk ,verify passwords all jacked up, I Engaged repair passwords then press verified Macintosh HD it said Macintosh HD is OK but repair disk button was still lit up and wanted me to make a recovery disk external hard drive and such,please tell me I can fix in safe boot..
The repair button is always clickable when you are on your Recovery partition, it's nothing to worry about. Do this instead.
Then start in single user mode (Command-S)
Type fsck -fy to check your disk first (it wont let you start working on a disk until you have checked it)
Then type mount -uw / (dont forget the slash) to mount your Macintosh HDD
Then type passwd username with username being the username of your admin account
It will make you type the new password twice afterwards. From then you can boot into OSX as normal and use that account to fix the rest of your passwords. -
Restore Lock Screen in Windows 8.1
I deleted the lock screen in Windows 8.1 and now realize I need it. How can I get it back?
I deleted using Windows+R "regedit" using this link
http://media.askvg.com/downloads/2012/11/Disable-Windows-8-Lock-Screen.zip
Is there a way to get the lock screen back?Hi,
The registry you posted here are this
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization]
"NoLockScreen"=dword:00000001
so you just need to launch regedit editor by run regedit.exe, then locate to the right place, set the value back to 0, then restart your PC.
or just run the "restore....reg" as David mentioned.

If nothing else works, you might try this one. It has worked for many others ...
Use iTunes to do a reset to factory default condition. Always be sure to do your backups before fiddling with your iPad. You might do both the iCloud and the iTunes backup, just to be sure!

Re: IPAD2 very slow after IOS 8 upgradein response to pacoKAS
SOLVED: IOS 8 Issues on iPad 2:
I just returned home from a visit to the Genius Bar. Like you and many others, when I upgraded my iPad 2 to IOS 8, it became practically unusable. It was VERY slow, lagged whenever trying to to do anything. Lots of screen freezes and apps spontaneously crashing. I was convinced that the processor on the iPad 2 just couldn't handle the new IOS and I went in to see about restoring to IOS 7.
Thankfully, I was hooked up with a very sharp guy at the bar. The problem is not with the OS, it is with it being an *upgraded* OS. He used the analogy of when you had an older Windows computer and how over time (and over upgrades), they just tended to get slower and slower because of all of the garbage that was carried forward in the upgrades. At those times (and if you've ever had a Windows computer, you get this), the only thing that would speed it up would be to wipe the machine and do a fresh install of the current OS and then reload your apps, and the viola, everything would be fast again. Well, it turns out that IOS can suffer the same problems.
THE FIX: FIRST, be sure you have a current iCloud backup of your device. Connect your iPad to a computer that has a clean fresh copy of IOS 8 on iTunes (this is best done with a computer other than the one that you sync your device to because you DO NOT want to restore it from a back up just yet). Ideally, if you do this at an Apple store you'll be assured of the right version there and someone to answer any questions you might have along the way. You then hold the power and home button down to hard-reset the device and continue to hold them down until it reboots into recovery mode. You then follow the instructions on the computer to reinstall the OS on the device (which wipes everything from it and then reinstalls a clean copy of it). Once this is done (which only takes about 15 minutes), your device will reboot and ask you to set it up. Answer the questions about language, location, etc. and continue until it asks you to log into your iTunes account. Once you do that, it will ask if you want to either 1) Set it up as a new device, 2) Restore from iCloud, or 3) Restore from iTunes. Choose (2), restore from iCloud. This will ensure that it brings down "clean" copies of all of your apps and preferences rather than the potentially corrupted ones that might reside in your iTunes backup. That's it! It will take a few hours depending on how much data and apps you have, but I am happy to report that my iPad 2 is now running IOS 8 and it's running as fast as it ever did when it was brand new!
To sum it up, this process 1) Wipes your device and the garbage causing your problems, 2) Loads a clean and bug-free version of IOS 8 to your device, and 3) restores your apps and data so that it looks just like it did before the wipe, with the exception that it works now! :-)
Note also that by following this process you don't have to go through the painful and laborious process of reloading all of your apps, data and/or settings. iCloud takes care of all of that for you. -
My Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) freezes or is slow to login
Hi, so this issue has occured for a while, but my Macbook Pro 13-inch Mid-2012 freezes occasionally on my login screen. A couple of things happen when it does this.
Either it freezes and there is no blinking cursor in the password box and I can't move the trackpad/if I do move the trackpad it just turns into a spinning beach ball for 20 seconds and then it finally allows me to log in. When I log in, for a few minutes everything on my computer is sluggish, for example going to my launchpad takes time and opening up applications takes time.
Or, it will do all of what I just stated above but it is preceded by a sound as if it were booting up from shut down (that mechanical disk sound that always happens right when you press the power button to boot up the computer) and then following this, the screen is brightened a lot and there is a white loading bar at the bottom of the screen towards the middle. The loading bar is like 15 or so transluscent white horizontal lines that become solid white to indicate loading. This may take a few seconds and then it does exactly what I stated in the previous paragraph.
This issue has happened for a while, and I'm not sure what the problem is. Please help! It's frustrationg to have to take 30 or more seconds to wake up my computer and begin using it.
I am running OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 on a Macbook Pro 13-inch (Mid 2012) with 4 GB of RAM and 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor.When I log in, for a few minutes everything on my computer is sluggish, for example going to my launchpad takes time and opening up applications takes time.
User Tip: Why is my computer slow?

Check your System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items. Get rid of and/or delete all that you do not need or want.
==================
If you found no solutions to your problem(s) listed in the various Knowledge Base Articles see if the following suggestions are of any help:
Except for the keyboard & mouse, disconnect all devices/peripherals from your computer.
Step 1: Restart into Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key during startup. The comp will run a complete & lengthy file system check, then start up w/only the required kernel extensions & w/o running any Startup items that you installed.
If you are running OS 10.4 it will also perform some font finagling.
Try starting up normally again. If you are still stalling, restart in Safe Mode & move on to Step 2...........
Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode
Step 2: Open Library>Startup items folder-the *root* level Library, not the one in your user name folder.
Look for potentially problematic 3rd party items such as virus scanning software components, etc. Remove 1 or more items to a location outside the Library folder, such as the Desktop, then restart normally & see if your Mac stalls. It it does, try removing all the items in the Startup items folder & restart. If all’s now well, place the items back into the Startup items folder 1 by 1, restarting each time you put one back. If and/or when the stall resurfaces, you just identified the faulty component.
If the above does not work, then it’s time to move on to Step 3.................
Step 3: WARNING-This step can be tedious-removing .plist files from the /Library/Preferences folder.
Remove the entire Preferences folder from the Library folder on your startup drive then place the files back 1 by 1 until you see the problem return. *The Mac will automatically create a new Preferences folder in the Library folder*
Alternatively, you can take half of the items out (all non-Apple .plist file, for example), restart to see if your Mac stalls, then move to a smaller set of items, repeating the process until the culprit is found.
Or you can use Preferential Treatment which is a *FREE* utility that does all the work for you.
Hang in there & good luck!!!! -
InDesign CC 2014 freezes on "What's New" window
Dear All,
InDesign CC 2014 is freezing up everything when it hangs on the "What's New" window which is completely a blank white. I can't close the application or force quit or do anything else…I have to shut down the computer in order to quit the application or do anything else on the computer -- it is completely frozen. When the computer restarts, InDesign CC 2014 automatically tries to start up again and freezes the computer unless I get to it before it launches and force quit before it gets a chance to freeze again.
InDesign CC is working normally, but I notice that when CC 2014 launches, it also launches InDesign CC with it and both seem to run at the same time. This does not happen when I start from InDesign CC -- only that application is then active.
"I'm also getting an Adobe warning that has begun to appear stating: "Administrator rights are required to complete Adobe add-ons installation or removal" and I'm not sure which application this is referring to or how to log in for these "rights",
Anyone else having these issues? I'm working on a Mac pro.
Small Town GalSorry for not being clear. I did the fix in CC2014 and worked great.

Dear Alberto,
I'm not sure what vernon you're now running? Did the above fix work on the new InDesign 2014? or are you saying that InDesign CC is now working? The suggested "fix" says to open the InDesign CC folder, so I'm wondering if deleting the "What's New" folder from InDesign CC actually also removes it from InDesign 2014? and is a temporary fix for InDesign 2014, allowing it to finally launch? Thanks.

Screen Sharing via iCloud on Lion Freezes at Login Screen
After updating to OSX Lion 10.7.3, screen sharing between two computers via the Internet allows me to connect to the remote computer and see the remote user's login screen, but as soon as I click on a user to login, the screen share image freezes before I can enter the user password.
Using iCloud Back to My Mac because all machines have the same Apple ID & password. Exact same setup worked before the 10.7.3 upgrade, but it could be coincidence.
Details:
Can see the remote computers in my finder,
Can click on them and connect successfully using either the Apple ID or the name and password a user that is allowed under Sharing -> Screen Sharing,
When clicking on "Screen Share," the computers connect and I'm prompted to either "Ask to Share the Display" or "Connect to Virtual Display"Since there really isn't anyone using the computer, I select "Connect to Virtual Display"
After clicking "Connect to Virtual Display" the Screen Sharing window shows the remote computer's login screen, whcih shows the user names, their icons and "Sleep" "Restart" or "Shut Down" on the bottom of the screen. One user has an orange circle with a white checkmark next to it.
Previously, I could click a user's name or icon, enter the password and control the remote Mac. Now, not amount of clicking works.
Have tried disconnecting and reconnecting as different users or using Apple ID without changes in the perofmance. Have restarted both machines.
Any help?I'm having the same problem screen sharing to a Lion 10.7.3 machine, I get this message.
However, it works just like it used to when I screen share from a 10.7.3 machine to another Mac running 10.6.8.
Any thoughts?

i can not install Waik and mdt on server 2012 so that i can deploy windows 7 on target machine, i have downloaded mdt Waik i got error saying you must install frame 2.0 which needs also adk windows 8. i am using hyper machine.
thank youHi Warsame12,
It is worth mentioning that don’t use IPV6 PXE, Windows 7 doesn’t support WDS 2012 deployment over IPv6 PXE. If IPv6 PXE boot is enabled and a
Windows 7 installation is selected, a blank screen will appear and Setup will not run.
The related KB:

All vm's in hyper-v 2012 core cannot initialize
Hi,
All vm's in hyper-v 2012 core cannot initialize.
there is ram and space in drive. Tried to run windows update and restarted hyper-V.
any suggestions?
ThanksSo on your other host, 10.21.0.150 (?), right-click on the folder 'virtualmachines' and select 'Properties'. Go to the 'Sharing' tab and enable sharing. You will need to specify the domain admin, in your case, to have full permissions to the share.
Note that I wouldn't really recommend your approach from a permissions point of view - rather, I'd create a separate account within AD for this, grant that user full permissions to the folder, and then provide these credentials from your Hyper-V host.
I'm not sure which OS you're using for hosting your 'virtualmachines' folder, but http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770406.aspx should provide additional information
for actually configuring your shares.
Further, I'd use a little more descriptive name than just 'New Virtual Machine' in order to help keep things more organized as your environment grows. -

Berechnen von MD5-Hashwerten in DIAdem 2012
Hallo zusammen,
Was wäre hier die beste Ansatzweise?
Vielen Dank für Antworten!!
Gruß,
FlKochHallo nochmals,
Private Function ByteArrayToHexStr(ByVal fByteArray)
Dim k
ByteArrayToHexStr = ""
For k = 1 To Lenb(fByteArray)
ByteArrayToHexStr = ByteArrayToHexStr & Right("0" & Hex(Ascb(Midb(fByteArray, k, 1))), 2)
Next
End Function
Public Function GenerateMD5ForFile(ByRef fFileName)
Dim strBin : Set strBin = CreateObject("ADODB.Stream")
Dim oMD5 : Set oMD5 = CreateObject("System.Security.Cryptography.MD5CryptoServiceProvider")
Dim baHash
strBin.Type = 1 'adTypeBinary
strBin.Open()
oMD5.Initialize()
strBin.LoadFromFile(fFileName)
strBin.Position = 0
baHash = oMD5.ComputeHash_2(strBin.Read()) '2. Überladung von <ComputeHash>
GenerateMD5ForFile = ByteArrayToHexStr(baHash)
strBin.Close()
End Function

your 13-inch Mid 2009 MacBook Pro requires 1066 MHz RAM, but you have 1333 MHz RAM installed. Try replacing the 1333 MHz RAM with 1066 MHz RAM — Macs can be picky about the RAM which they find acceptable. -
Downloaded new iOS for iPhone 5. Now the handset is running hot, keeps freezing on different screens, won't charge on official charger ( only charges on crap poundland one) and battery is loosing 1% every two minutes! I've closed all apps and reset the complete phone but no luck. Any one know what else I can try apart from a new phone?
I have done a factory reset at 45% battery. After the reset it's still hot and at 35% now

I am having the exact same problem with my 13" early 2011 Macbook Pro. I have 10.6.8. I used the disk that came with the laptop to restore the OS to 10.6.7 but the problem existed there too. I have now updated it back to 10.6.8. The problem still exists. This doesn't seem to be limited to an OS version and seems like an issue with device driver or with hardware. I will try to take it to the Apple store and see if this gets resolved.
You too have a black screen in Windows 7. ? -
I have not been able to access the itunes store for the past month, it has been a long time since I have downloaded/purchased anything, probably around christmas time, but the problem is I click on the itunes store and the grey zebra striped bar just keeps running accross the top indefinitely, one other thing is that when I click on my itunes icon on the left side of my screen a window pops up and tells me to turn off compatibility, so I tried to follow the prompts through the properties from right clicking the itunes icon but after the thing runs its check and i click on make suggested changes, it still says incompatible. I have no idea what to do and this is extremely frustrating, please help!!
