Diagnostic Information Popup

This is a new one on me:
At the end of playing a streaming playlist of videos, this popped up:
DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION
Your AppleTV contains diagnostic information that may help Apple improve it's products.
By clicking 'Send to Apple' you agree that Apple may periodically collect and use this information as part of its support services and to improve its products. This information is collected anonymously. To learn more about Apple's Privacy Policy, see http://www.apple.com/legal/privacy. This message won't appear again unless you choose Reset Settings from the Settings menu.
Send to Apple
Don't Send
Anyone ever seen that before?
Maybe a new feature in 3.02 to get some performance stats?

What I couldn't figure out was if this was like a crash report that sent info relating to that to Apple or if performance/other aspects are being continually monitored and reported every so often.
I hit don't send as I didn't like the thought of the unit constantly phoning home without my knowledge.
Had it listed information being sent I could have made a better decision but I suspect most consumers wouldn't want/understand any more detail.

  • How to disable 'Remove Hidden Information' popup when closing PDF in Acrobat X on Mac?

How do I disable the function that causes the 'Remove Hidden Information' popup when closing PDFs in Acrobat X? I'm using OS X 10.9.4 on a Mac?
I've searched online and was directed to Preferences>>Security (enhanced) to uncheck 'Unable Enhanced Security', but it wasn't checked.
This box (see screen shot) opens each time I close a PDF. I'm forced to select an option before closing.
    Please help.
    Thanks.

    Go to the menu Acrobat>Preferences
In the Preferences window's "Categories" pane, select "Document"
In the "Hidden Information" section deselect both check boxes
    Click the OK button
    You should be good now.

  • Send Diagnostic Information EVERY sync

    Hi all,
I purchased an iPod Touch last week and it is great in all respects. However, every time I sync with iTunes, I get the prompt to "send diagnostic information" to Apple. I always choose "Send to Apple", but I do not check "Do not ask me again" b/c I want to know when it is sending something.
That said, the issue seems to be that the crash logs are never deleted. This causes iTunes to prompt me to send diagnostic information to apple, even when there is no new information. For example, clicking "show details" reveals crash logs from several days back, even though I have already sent them to Apple.
Is iTunes supposed to delete the logs it sends? If so, what is wrong with my iPod?
I appreciate any help you can provide (short of "buy a mac"), and thank you in advance.

The next time you get this message, click the checkbox "Do No Ask Me Again," and click the "Don't Send" button. The annoying messages should stop. The crash logs should be stored on iTunes, but it's you don't have to delete them; they might have useful information.
(I chuckled when I read your "short of 'buy a mac'" remark. But seriously, current prices are unusually competitive.)

  • Anyone else get a "Your phone contains diagnostic information" message?

I was just syncing over a few apps I just downloaded and got this message. It send something about containing diagnostic information and asked if I wanted to send it to Apple. I was just curious if any others have had this happen.
Also, the only problems at all I've had with the phone are when I am installing an app and I'm doing other things, it will turn off the phone and it takes a few restarts to get it working again. Again, I was just curious.

Yes I get this prompt on occasion, which I send to Apple.
Sending this diagnostic info to Apple certainly can't hurt, and hopefully it will be used for improvements.

  • Keep getting "Your phone contains diagnostic information" prompt

When I sync my iphone 3G I keep getting the "Do you want to send diagnostic information to Apple" prompt even though I keep checking the "Do not ask me this again" box each time.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any way to disable this prompt? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried restoring several times to no avail.

I think the OP's point is that the dialog box keeps popping up. If you check the Do Not Ask Me Again tickbox, then choose either send or don't send, iTunes should remember that option an not offer the dialog box every time you connect the iPhone. Seems like iTunes is offering the choice when the OP already made the choice (regardless of which choice she actually made).

  • I don't want to send diagnostic information to Apple...

This is quite a strange question to ask, but how do I turn off the feature which sends off diagnostic information to Apple? Apparently it slows down the speed of syncing, which in comparison to my iPod Classic, my 4G is taking AGES.
I've tried to reset warnings, but to no avail. Cheers.

see this -> Speed up iTunes sync of your iPhone or Touch by only selectively sending diagnostic data to Apple

  • Flex Mobile - Alert and Information Popup Boxes

Since a Android-looking popup box doesn't yet exist in the Hero SDK, I thought I would put a pretty good looking component together.
You can download it (and the sample code) here:
    http://www.digitalretro.tv/components/InformationBoxTest.fxp
A real simple example in in the project, for both an Info and an Alert.
I currently only support an "OK" button, but I will be adding a Yes/No and OK/Cancel later this week.
Hopefully this will save someone some time.
Enjoy and feel free to use this in your code (commercial or non-commercial), just leave the copyright code in the component source file in place.
    Thanks.

  • Disable all informations (popups, alerts etc.) during batch process

Hey! I'm using Acrobat 6.0 and the open all batch process to convert various office documents. For each document I have to agree to some alerts like "The document was changed. Do you want to save it" or "Acrobat can't save bookmarks beacause..." - or something like that... I think everybody can imagine what I mean and it doesn't matter what exactly is the content of these popups...
My question: Is there a posibility to turn off all these messages? Maybe with some lines of JavaScript Code? Or pipe these messages to a text file instead of showing it on the screen?

Thanks for your answer. I mean both things, although I haven't yet a JS function so I prefer the feature Batch Processing which is part of Acrobat 6.0
Unfortunately the "Save warnings and errors in log file" preference doesn't work. I think the problem is, that these errors are special Batch Error. But this isn't what I mean...
I will now describe exactly my problem. I'm using Acrobat 6.0 and MS Excel 2003. With several Makros I created special Excel files. With some (not all) tables in the Excel file I made a group (because I want to convert only these tables...)
When I start the batch processing, the following messages appears (which I have to accept or deny... this is exactly what I want to disappear because with these messages I haven't any automatism or real "batch processing"....)
    1. After starting the batch process, first message...
    ::Acrobat PDFMaker::
Acrobat PDFMaker have to save the document before continue. Should PDFMaker save this document and continue?
    2. ...and then after some seconds...
    ::Acrobat PDFMaker::
'Name of my table' - Acrobat PDFMaker can make Tags, Bookmarks and Links only for tables with the printable area "Whole Table". Delete in the section "Page settings" the field "printable are" to avoid this problem.
Would you like to continue and create a PDF File without Tags?
    3. .. and finally Excel also have a message for me:
    ::Microsoft Excel::
Save all changes in 'Name of my Excel file'?
After that the first PDF is successfully created. Then it happens something really strange. I can see in my Acrobat the little window with:
'Name of my Excel File', 2 from 2
(-a progress bar is shown with 50%-)
Please wait. Adobe PDF is making.: 100%
and then i can wait and wait and wait... But nothing more wil happens! :(
Any idea to solve these problems?
To implement the batch processing feature in an own JS function... How difficult is it? Are there any examples/experiences? And the most important thing: can i really disappear the popup messages?
Thanks and sorry for my english... ;)

  • Stop the Security Information popup

Some users get a Security Information pop-up when navigating Siebel saying "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?" even after adding the url to their list of trusted sites. Is there a way to stop this?

Rather than lowering your IE security, just adjust 1 setting:
    From Tools|Internet Options, select Security
    Select Trusted Sites
    Select Custom Level
Under Miscellaneous, select “Enable” for “Display Mixed Content”
Repeat for each of Internet or Local Internet
    hope this helps

  • Security information popup PITA...

As though CS4 isn't enough trouble, this new forum gives me a popup security alert saying there are "secure and nonsecure items, do I want to display the nonsecure items" on every freakin' mouse click; both to read a forum item and to return to the general forum.
    I have gone into:
    Tools\Popup blocker and allowed https://www.adobeforums.com
    but it is still happening!!!
WTF??? Is Adobe now phishing forum users...????
This just started with the recent transition to this new forum system.
Any ideas (other than turning off/on the blocker everytime I come to the forum)?
WinXP x64, 64-bit Internet Explorer and 32-bit Internet Explorer.
And don't suggest Eudora or Semphora or Radon or some other browser, please.

Simply remove the "s" in "https" and you will not get the warning.
    Cheers

  • How can i by pass the IE SP2 information popup while downloading the pdf

    Hello Guys,
I am downloading pdf from my web application (Weblogic 8.2). it work perfectly fine on my local box which uses http protocol. But when we are deploying the application on UAT environment which have other component integrated to it it pop up a annoying information pop up. As a result of which user needs to perform a one more extra step to download the pdf.
I looked at many solution given on the MS site to change the setting of the IE but we want to do something from the server side so that we dont have to change the user setting manually which will require the support from our side.
    Please help !!!!!
    Code for download

    Hi,
Thanks for the quick response. I will see how can i use the InputStream as we have utility which create the pdf doc on the fly and returns the byte stream.
But you are write if the size is large then i will eat up the memory.Huh, write? What are you saying?
Anyway, each byte in Java costs at least one byte of memory. So if the PDF file is for instance 100MB, then 100MB of memory will be eaten. Imagine what happens if only 10 users downloads it concurrently while your server has only 1GB assigned to JVM.
I am getting information bar (not pop up) just below the address bar. It says following
*" To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here to see more options...."*Oh, that thing. Are you sending the file to the client unexpectedly? Are you doing this stuff in a JSP file instead of a Servlet?

  • Song information popup behind other windows

I normally minimize iTunes to the system tray. When I want to know which song I'm listening to, I'll hover my mouse over the iTunes icon to see a popup window with the artist, album, and title.
However, every once in awhile, iTunes gets confused and this popup window appears behind my other windows. Reloading iTunes does not seem to help.
Here's a cropped screen shot of what I'm talking about: http://thentao.com/iTunesPopUp.JPG
Has anyone else seen this? If so, is there a fix and/or workaround?

Followup: I just realized this is NOT an iTunes issue. I see the same behavior on other windows in the system tray - so it's something goofy about Windows.
As a result, I'm marking this question as answered.
Still... If anybody knows of a workaround, I'm all ears.

  • Sending diagnostic information to apple?

Ok, I get this pop up window every now and then when syncing or checking for iphone updates? Is this common for everyone?

This is caused by an application "crashing" on your iPhone. Something like the browser closing on you unexpectedly and returning you to the home screen.
I have gotten this before, and I thought there was a check box on that pop up that said "Always do this"... so if you press do not send, it would never pop up the box again and not send anything.

  • In trying to set up an online account, a diagnostic informed me that I should update my browser to accept 128 bit security encryption. How do I accomplish this? I already have Firefox 4.

I can't understand why my browser would not be compatible with 128 bit security encryption. Have set up several other accts with no issues. What are possible problems related to this non-compatibility?

Firefox 4 supports AES-256 (256 bit) encryption in addition to 128 bit since Firefox 2 in 2002.
