Diagnostic tool?

A few years ago I bought an HP Pavillion Model a6720f. The motherboard crashed a little while back so a friend of mine upgraded it and the hard drive and power supply. What I would like to know is, when I bought it there was some HP software on it that identified and tested all the components of the unit, even the internal temperature.
Does anyone know what it was called and where I can download it??
Thanks
I hope it's ok to fish, hunt, shoot, ride motorcycle, chase women & drink beer after you retire, cause I'm still doin' it!

Hi vivatheo,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum.
You can use this QR code to get the Network Setup app from Marketplace. Press the search button, then the scan icon (it looks like an eye) and point the camera at the screen. Or use your favourite QR scan app.
Once installed it will allow you to setup MMS and Internet access easily.
Hope this helps,

  • HP Update unable to install HP Printer Diagnostic Tools

Today the HP Update application prompted me to install three updates related to my Deskjet 3520. Two of them seemingly installed OK, but the third one ("HP Printer Diagnostic Tools") downloads but immediately fails after installation has started.
The manual download of the tool seems to run, but there is no success message, and HP Update still shows this one as missing afterwards. This is on Windows 8 Enterprise x64.
    This question was solved.

That update is supposed to install a desktop shortcut to the diagnostics landing page.   You can find that here: www.hp.com/go/tools .
I don't know why the update is not working, but I would suggest selecting the  "Hide" option so it no longer shows up and adding the above link to your favorites if you wish to save it.

As per the note need to apply 6069527 patch, but we have other TEST instance in which Oracle diag tools working good without 6069527 patch.
I think some how we need to install ize top (directory) in $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps
I see other working Oracle Diag tools instance has this ize directory under $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps.
So, any suggetion to get ize directory under the path $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps.It is explained in (E-Business Suite Diagnostics Installation Guide [ID 167000.1]), under "adsplice Patch Installation Notes" section.

  • No start, blue screen. Diagnostic tools gives error code BIOME-1. Any suggestions?

    Hi,
My system does not start anymore. I use BIOS version 5.43 for my Pavilion 9190. Running Diagnostic tools gives an error code BIOME-1 in the memory test. What to do?
    Fred

Since that indicates a memory problem, it would seem that would be where to start.  First try to re-seat the memory modules (with the computer turned off).  If that does not help, make the Ultimate Boot CD (with another computer) and then boot to it.  Run the memory testing routines.  MemTest will tell you which module is failing, if you read the results properly as it runs the testing routine.

  • CrystalReportsTier error in Diagnostic Tool for BO XI 3.0 Edge

We recently installed XI 3.0 Edge. We are having a problem with not being able to create parameters for Crystal reports any longer in Business View Manager (we create and save them, but when we come back in and try to view them, BVM crashes). When I run the Diagnostic Tool, in the Crystal Reports Tier section, I get a message that says "Failed to add tables to test report from XML source.", and it fails the test. I am not sure if the two are related.
Has anyone run into a similar problem in the Crystal environment ?

We discovered that, although we couldn't "Save As" Crystal reports with dynamic parameters, the push method, we could pull the reports up to the documents folder by using the Central Management Console (CMC). Under the Manage menu, there is an Add menu item that allows Crystal reports to be pulled up. When we did this, suddenly hidden parameter components would appear in the Business View Manager screen - they must have been created by the failed attempts to push the reports up, though they were invisible until the pull was done. After deleting all duplicated components, and re-promoting, we could get the reports to function in InfoView.
So I don't know what was causing the diagnostics to flare up, and although it is apparent Edge 3.0 has some issues, there was a way to finally get the reports loaded along with their dynamic parameters.

  • Free HP Drivers, Downloads, & Diagnostic Tools

You work hard for your money. Keep it!
Did you know that HP drivers, downloads and diagnostic tools are offered at no cost on HP.com?
Recently, HP has seen an increased number of third party support websites selling HP driver downloads and/or diagnostic tools for as much as $150. Many of the websites offering these driver downloads and diagnostic tools even use the HP trademark symbol and claim to be “official” HP distributers. We want to make sure you all know that HP currently offers these drivers and software at NO ADDITIONAL COST on the official HP website.
We encourage you to exercise caution when dealing with any website that asks you to pay for driver downloads or tools claiming to diagnosis their products. These websites have absolutely no affiliation with HP in any way.

  • Virus in diagnostic tools file on desktop

I have recently noticed that my pc guard came up and said I had a virus, I ran a full scan and it said i had a couple of viruses, two were in files and i deleted them, they were linked to my norton files as my norton was out of date, since i have installed norton antivirus and it doesn't pick up my problem.
On my desktop in my toshiba files in my diagnostic tool one of the files has the virus as my pc guard tells me as I open the page, it is in my programe files\toshiba\pc diag cd rom test.exe file not sure whether i can delete that will it do any damage?
If I do can i return the file in some way?
I think i have deleted the file just above it also as it had the same problem, and can't test that now as it has no files, help needed please, what would u do?

    Hi Stephen,
Most anti-virus software will let you 'quarantine' infected files so that you can safely remove them and then restore them from the 'quarantine' if the system experiences problems as a result of your actions.
I suggest you either use the 'quarantine' feature or else make a safe copy of the file(s) that you want to delete so that you can restore them if you find that you have problems once they have been deleted.

  • Directed here to find a cooling performance diagnostic tool for my X205.

    Hi,
I was looking for software to monitor and control the fans in my X205. I have an overheating problem when gaming. The vents are clear, and I have opened the case and cleaned it out. The vents are not blocked. This problem occurred recently. I assumed it was a problem with XP getting corrupted, so I re-installed XP Pro. This did not help. The fan itself works, as I ran it on 5 volts when I opened the case. No problems. It justy won't come on when the GPU gets hot (75 Celcius).
A notebook forum referrred me to this site, and said I should search for a utility called "Cooling Performance Diagnostic Tool", but I can't find anything.
Does anyone know where I can download this utility? I need to monitor and control these fans. I have re-installed the Toshiba system utilities and drivers from the Toshiba site, but the fan does not appear to be controlled.
Anyone got any opinions on this one?
    Cheers,
    Rob

As far as I know such tool does not exist.
Maybe someone told you to check settings in Toshiba power saver settings for option Cooling method.
Anyway, I presume you have US notebook model so I must redirect you again. ;)
Check Toshiba US support page under http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp and pick up info about all available tools and utilities.
You can also visit forum there and discuss with people who have US notebook models.
On this page we discuss in most cases about European models and Europe support.

  • PC diagnostic tool not working on Satellite Pro L300

When I try executing the Toshiba utility pcdiag.exe I get an error message.
The details of this message say that the 'Fault Module Name' is KERNEL32.dll.
I have uninstalled the original utility programs and downloaded the updated files from the Toshiba website, with the same result - I still get an error message.
What fix is there for this?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hi
Do you use the Vista OS or Win XP?
I checked the Toshiba European driver page and the PC Diagnostic tool has been published only for the Win XP.
I believe that this issue could have something to do with your installed Windows OS.
First of all you should check if the PC Diagnostic tool is compatible with your operating system and secondly you should update the OS before you would install this tool.
    Bye

  • Diagnostic tool - can't launch it

My diagnostic tool stopped workin. Everything was ok, than the problem began, without any markable reason. First issue was when the ime of tottaly phone usage changed into –27133 hrs value. For now I can't run it at all. " We are very sorry but the diagnostic tool stopped working " is the only reaction when I try to run it. I've tried to download app from Google store but it doesn't help. Any idea what to do? I don't want to "upgrade" from 4.4.4 to Lollipop 5. It's worst case scenario... Thnx!!!

    Hi,
Have you tried to just restart the phone to see if this can help? Otherwise, you could try to clear data for Diagnostics via Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > Diagnostics > Clear data.

  • Solution manager diagnostic tools

I was sure that I read somewhere that there was a diadnostic tool for the web dispatcher and portal,
I am really looking to get diagnostics on load balancing.
Could this be the tool "Solution manager diagnostic tools"
If yes, where can I get it?
    Thanks
    Jeremy Baker

Please refer note 826671. URL, https://service.sap.com/diagnostics gives you all the information about it.
SMD is used for monitoring the NetWeaver landscape (Java). It is based on WAS 6.40 (think from SP11, 12 it can support). I guess the next version of SM (now 3.2) will be probably housing SMD by default (next version of SM should be based on WAS 6.40).

  • Siebel Diagnostic Tool (8.1.1.2) - can't log in to DiagTool

    Hi all!
I've seen this posted once before, about two years ago, but there was no solution posted then.
I've installed and configured the Siebel Management Agent and Siebel Management Server on a single 8.1.1.2 dev box. All seems to be well with those two components - the logs for both indicate they are talking.
However, when I try to log into the Siebel Diagnostic Tool component of the Server (http://<host>:8080/DiagTool) upon entering my credentials I get:
Unable to load enterprise / server information. Please check the configuration file and try again.
In fact, this error is displayed (in a page called loginUser.auth) IMMEDIATELY after clicking the 'login' button and occurs REGARDLESS of what user name and password I use. I can enter a load of gibberish in either login or password field and I'm immediately presented with this error.
I'm inclined to think this is a Tomcat error, but there are NO logs whatsoever that get appended to when the error occurs. I'm at an absolute loss as to where to look to fix this.
I've followed the Installation Guide on Bookshelf over and over, several times now, and I always end up in the same place. I've tried different port numbers for DiagTool, but that hasn't helped either.
Has anyone successfully installed and configured the Diagnostic Tool on 8.1.1.2 (SIA in my case) and had to tweak anything to get it working, over and above the instructions on Bookself?
    Thanking you for any thoughts!

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm getting nowhere with Tech Support. :(
I'm convinced the error is somewhere in the Tomcat 'DiagTool' app as the Management Server and Management Agent are running and talking to each other.
I've copied the configuration.agents.xml file into WEB-INF so everything SHOULD be set up correctly - but I'm STILL getting this error immediately after entering login information into the DiagTool login screen.
It's driving me insane - any thoughts at all on this? Please? ;)

  • Can someone help me with the iphone diagnostic tool?

I was trying to use the Iphone diagnostic tool, and i use the ticket number they gave me but it says ticket not found. How can i fix this?

The Magic Wand is subject to the sample size you've set for the color picker.
Yes, I know it seems silly.  Personally I think it's a bug that these essentially unrelated things should be connected.
    Try this:
    1. Open an image.
    2. Click the foreground color patch in the tools bar.
    3. Right-click on the image somewhere.  What's your sample size?
    4. Change it to Point Sample.
    5. Cancel the Color Picker.
Now your magic wand should work better.
I wouldn't have known this but for having been there myself recently.
