Diagram starting with 100%

hi everyone,
I have the prices of the shares of 4 different companies collected over the last 5 years. to make the price development more  comparable i would like to draw a diagram which starts in 2006 with each individual companies then preveiling price equal to 100% . In the following years also not the prices should be shown but the relative price, e.g. 115% for comany A, 108%  for company B and 98% for company C. And so on...
Is this type of chart possible somehow, or would I have to create new tables each normalising the prices and then draw the diagram from the adjusted data? I have to do this for some 30 tables therefore it would be great if I could use the absolute prices and have numbers starting with 100% and simply showing the prices of succeeding years as relative prices in form of percentages.
Thanks alot already in advance.

If you are starting might be better to look at 11g, which I understand to be substantially different.

But be aware that this is not for the faint hearted.

  • I started with 100 pages in my photo book. Then reduced the number to 75 for finished project. When i click on "buy" it says I have some frames with no photos. But I've checked entire book

    I started a book with 100 pages, but reduced it to 75 by deleting some pages. When i completed the book & tried to buy it a box pops up saying I have some frames that need photos. I've checked the book over & over & cannot find any pages like that. How can I order my completed book?

    Look for pages that use photos for the background, even if you have other photos on the page. It'll look something like this in the layout pane:
    It would look like this in the PDF version:
    If you have a 1 photo per page, full page, you could have that option selected and not know it unless you looked at the layout pane like this example:

  • I have a presentation with  100 slides. During the first 10 slides I want one song to start playing from slide

    I have a presentation with +100 slides. During the first 10 slides I want one song to start from the beginning, at the 11th slide a new song starts from the beginning, and so on during the entire presentation. How do I do? Thanks in advance. janfromfinland

    This is a very common request which unfortunately has not been satisfactorily answered albeit for very complicated workarounds using multiple duplicates of your keynote file and hyperlinking them.
    The easiest alternative is to have iTunes play in the background timed to begin when you manually start the keynote. You can create a playlist so the tracks run into each other, or better yet combine them into one track using a free editor like GarageBand. You'll need to rehearse your timings. Hopefully, youre not trying to match lyrics with words or animations as this is not the most exact way to do so.
    The alternative is to create a separate keynote file of those 10 slides and export them to QuickTime, reimport the movie into keynote and add the music track to the file. That will give more accurate timing. The  most accurate timing would be tom import the QuickTime movie into iMovie and add the soundtrack with exact timings. Ive done this successfully except for the fact that exporting this way fools around with any build timings.
    S the final alternative is to do your first 10 slides with music from iTunes and advance the slides manually using screenflow or the latest QuickTime in lion to record the screen Inc music.
    All troublesome but doable workarounds until Apple comes to our aid.

  • Should I start with Entity Object or Java Class Diagram ??

    Hi,
    I come to J2EE / OO application development from non-oo programming world. I am still confused about what step-by-step development approach should I take ?
    Should I :
    - start with creating Entity Object from available database table ?
    - should I start with Java class diagram, followed by generating database tables, then create EO from it ?
    Could anybody please help me, what best practice step by step development approach should I take ?
    Is there any white paper / docs about this ?
    Thank you for your help,
    Krist

    Krist,
    If you are not from the OO world then you may be interested in this new site on OTN (http://otn.oracle.com/formsdesignerj2ee) There is a workshop that starts by looking at an existing datamodel and builds up from there.
    If you are starting from nothing, you can indeed start higher at the Class Model level.
    I recently started discussing data modeling on my blog (http://www.groundside.com/blog/content/SueHarper/) and there are some very good comments(feedback from readers) that may possibly be useful to you.
    If you are new to the UML modeling world, I recommend you read two very good papers by Jan Kettenis on OTN (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/collateral10g.html) They are Getting Strted with UML Class modeling and Getting Started with UML Use Case Modeling.
    Shay pointed you to Toplink. There are a lot of resources on OTN for Toplink, including tutorials.
    Personally? I think if you have time, and if you can, start with a Class Model and perhaps a Use Case model, then you can start planning your application development from a solid base.
    Regards
    Sue Harper

  • I was recording a song, finished it and everything went alright. Then I wanted to start with the recording of a new song. With the SAME plug-ins and settings as in the song before. I could record it all, but then, logic started crashing!

    I was recording a song, finished it and everything went alright. Then I wanted to start with the recording of a new song. With the SAME plug-ins and settings as in the song before. I could record it all, but then, logic started crashing! Now, Logic crashes everytime I open up the new song as soon as I press play. But when I open up the older song, everything works just fine. I can press play without any problems, do things here and there... typical Logic stuff. So, it has to do with my new project! But why? I mean, I'm using everything the same way in both projects. Literally everything!
    Now, here's one of my crash reports... please help. Please. Thanks in advance!

  • How to start with a gui

    Hi,
    i have a program that works fine, at the moment it just outputs results to the screen.
    I'm required to create a gui for this but really don't know where to start.
    i have a Test class which has a main method in it which calls all the other classes.
    my main class is below:
    public class Test
         public static void main(String[] args)
              Data d = new Data();
              Vector data = d.readFile("File9.txt");
              /*normalise the data and store in vector (outerVetor)*/
              Normalise rf = new Normalise();
              Vector dataNormalised = rf.normalise(data);
              datasize = dataNormalised.size();
              Affinity af = new Affinity();
              Vector affinity = af.calcAffinity(dataNormalised);
              Initialise i = new Initialise();
              i.setSeed(1);
              seed = i.getSeed();
              i.setHypermutationRate(2.0);
              hypermutationRate = i.getHypermutationRate();
              i.setClonalRate(10.0);
              clonalRate = i.getClonalRate();
              i.setTotalResources(15.0);
              totalResources = i.getTotalResources();
              i.setStimulationValue(0.99);
              stimulationValue = i.getStimulationValue();
              i.setAffinityThresholdScalar(0.2);
              affinityThresholdScalar = i.getAffinityThresholdScalar();
              i.setKNN(4.0);
              KNN = i.getKNN();
              Vector MemoryPool = i.seedMemoryPool(dataNormalised, seed);
              Float affinityThreshold = i.affinityThreshold(affinity);
              Stimulation s = new Stimulation();
              Training t = new Training();
              CompetitionForLtdRes c = new CompetitionForLtdRes();
              MemoryCellSelection MS = new MemoryCellSelection();
              Classification C = new Classification();
              for(int k=0;k<dataNormalised.size();k++)
                   Antigen = (Vector)dataNormalised.elementAt(k);
                   if(memPoolStimulation.floatValue() == zero.floatValue())
                        MemoryPool.add(Antigen);
                   else
                   stimIndex = s.getStimIndex();
                   Vector ARB =t.ARBGeneration(BestMatch,hypermutationRate,clonalRate);
               Vector Candidate = c.runARBRefinement(ARB, Antigen, maxDist,stimulationValue,clonalRate, totalResources);
              MemPoolsize = MemoryPool.size();
              reduction = 100 - ((double)MemPoolsize/datasize*100);
              Antigen1 = (Vector)dataNormalised.elementAt(1);
              Float classify = C.KNN(MemoryPool,Antigen1, KNN, maxDist);
    }I really don't know where to start with this. i know i need a fileDialog to select whic file to use at the start and a scrollable pane to display trhe results but really don't know where to begin.
    can anybody offer some help or point me in the right dircection?
    Cheers

    Hi,
    I've managed to open a file using the file dialog.
    I'm trying to noe perform an action with this file. I have a class called Data which reads in a file and reads each line of the file into a vector. so i have a vector of vectors at the end where the inner vectors are the lines of the file.
    I'm unsure of how to call this class using the selected file.
    ultimately this is the kind of thing i'm going to need to do through out.
    i have created an instance of the class Data and trie to call the method using the file but getting the following error:
    RunPanel.java:59: readFile(java.lang.String) in Data cannot be applied to (java.io.File)
    Vector data = d.readFile(file);
    my code is:
    public class RunPanel extends JPanel implements ActionListener
         JButton openButton;
         JTextArea log;
             JFileChooser fc;
         //cretaed an instance of Data class to use later on
         Data d = new Data();
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
            //Handle open button action.
            if (e.getSource() == openButton) {
                int returnVal = fc.showOpenDialog(RunPanel.this);
                if (returnVal == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION) {
                    File file = fc.getSelectedFile();
                    //This is where a real application would open the file.
                    log.append("Opening: " + file.getName() + "." + newline);
              //trying to call the readfile method in Data class here
              Vector data = d.readFile(file);
                } else {
                    log.append("Open command cancelled by user." + newline);
                log.setCaretPosition(log.getDocument().getLength());
        }can anybody explain what's going on here?
    Cheers

  • How to replace a substring that starts with and end with another substring?

    Hi,
    I am trying to parse data from HTML tables. First I want to remove all useless tags like <font>. Now, how can I remove substrings like-
    *<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="1">My_Data_to_parse</font>*
    I was searching for any method which replaces a substring what starts with a substring (in this case "<font") and ends with another substring (in this case ">") . Is there any method like that? Or any better solution?
    Another situation like the following-
    *<td align="left" height="30" width="100%">*
    In this case I want to remove all the height, align , width etc and make it as simple as "<td>". How can I do that?
    Finally, all I am trying to do just to parse data from the tables in a html file. Is there any parser API or library to help me do that? Or to bring the data down to array from the tables based on table structure? Please suggest me.
    Thanks in advance.

    probably the best place to start is to search for the "<keyword" of all of the html keywords, then search for the location of the next ">" - this will indicate the end of the <keyword> opening tag.

  • Search for all words in a table column that any of the words start with a certain letter

    I have products table. Each row has a Description which may have a few words within it. I wanted to know if it's possible to search through it and find all descriptions that have match the search. But, I want it to consider it a match even if it's not the
    first word of the description, but rather the start of any word in the description.
    For example:
    Descriptions
    Nice Casual Gloves(This should show up, and although it's not in the very beginning of the description it's at the beginning of a new word.)
    Nice Dressy Gloves(This should show up, and although it's not in the very beginning of the description it's at the beginning of a new word.)
    Great Dresses (This should show up)
    Fancy Outerwear
    Glasses (This should show up)
    Shoes
    Sheer Stockings (This should not show up because although it has a "g" it's not in the beginning of a word.)
    Boots
    Galoshes (This should show up)
    I would want to search within this list Where Description like 'G%' but I don't want it to only get the descriptions that start with "g" at the beginning of the description, but rather any "g" at the beginning of any word. I do not want
    to get all descriptions that have a "g" somewhere in the word (then I could just do WHERE DESCRIPTION LIKE '%g%'), rather only if it somewhere within the description but at the beginning of any word.
    Thank you so much
    Debra has a question

    The most perfect solution would be to get a CLR routine to either (a) Do a regular expression match, (b) Run a split routine at CLR speeds then do a simple LIKE, or (c) both (a) and (b).  If your requirements grow to handle more and more complex searches,
    you may have to do it that way eventually.
    However, like the other answers, here's a way to do it reasonably well given your current requirements.  You may have to tweak the REPLACE logic if you have frequent OTHER forms of word delimiters.
    Method:  Pull data; add space before and after original text; replace all common word separators other than space with a space (so for example, "(These pretzels)", "He said 'These pretzels are making me thirsty" and so forth would
    be replaced with a space before "The"; then do a Patindex (you could do with just a LIKE also) on the search string prefaced with a space.  Here's an example, stealing from table sys.messages just for ease of demonstration.
    With SampleData as
    Select top 100 *
    , ' ' + Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(text, '"', ' '), '''', ' '), '/', ' '), '(', ' ') + ' ' as TextPlus
    from sys.messages
    where language_id = 1033
    Select TextPlus
    , patindex('% The%', textplus)
    from SampleData
    where patindex('% The%', textplus) > 1
    Same logic, in the most concise format:
    Select top 100 Text
    from sys.messages
    where language_id = 1033
    and ' ' + Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(text, '"', ' '), '''', ' '), '/', ' '), '(', ' ') + ' ' like '% the%'

  • Problems getting started with LabVIEW FPGA

    Two (probably) related questions:
    1. I am trying to get started with LabVIEW FPGA, and I am having trouble using a host VI to test my FPGA VI. I started with a basic QAM modulator VI, to be run on the FPGA, and I have reached the point where I need to verify the logic and timing with this VI running on the development computer with simulated IO. I have tried various combinations of putting the code inside single-cycle timed loops vs not; putting the modulator block directly into the host VI, and using the "FPGA reference" block. When neither the host VI nor the modulator VI use a single-cycle timed loop, I see correct behavior. In every other case, the output of the VI is either absent or incorrect. I need to use a single-cycle timed loop in the FPGA VI to properly verify timing behavior (as far as I know), so the one functioning case is not enough for me.
    I'm sure there is a key step I'm missing or misunderstanding, but I have not been able to figure it out myself yet. I've attached my modulator diagram as well as two different attempts at host VIs. I can share other information, but I'm not sure what is most relevant.
    2. I am also trying to test a simple wrapper VI for the Xilinx FFT block, and I am having trouble accessing FIFOs inside the host VI. I thought this would be relatively straightforward, but when I tried to change the "method" on an "invoke method" block, there were no options for accessing FIFOs, as I understood there should be. This is a total roadblock for me. These two diagrams are also attached, the test diagram shows the options available to me for the "invoke method" block.
    Labview 2013, PXIe-7965R, PXIe-8133 controller.
    I had to combine the diagram images; in case they are hard to follow this way, see the individual images here: http://imgur.com/a/oB6OD .
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hello Monguin61
    If you are having problems reading from DMA FIFO's you should test them using a very simple code to understand their behavior. First, you could start taking a look to the linked documents:
    Reading DMA FIFOs from Host VIs (FPGA Interface)
    Using DMA FIFO to Develop High-Speed Data Acquisition Applications for Reconfigurable I/O Devices
    FIFO.Read (Invoke Method)
    Then you could test and analyze a simple example to understand how it works, for example this one: Simple DMA FIFO Example for FPGA.
    Check the references when you are using DMA FIFO's, I noticed you did not connect them in the second picture attached.

  • Getting started with Flex - J2EE

    Hello Folks,
    In advance, I already want to thank all of you willing to take the time to read this, or even reply :)
    Furthermore, I'm not 100% sure this is the correct location to ask these questions, but so far I've had a perfect experience concerning Questions I posted here :-)
    Anyway, here's my current situation.
    I've got Eclipse Europa (3.3) with the Flex 3 plugin.
    I've got Tomcat 6 with the LiveCycle Data Services.
    I've got some experience in coding Java classes, contacting Databases (I currently would like to use MySQL) and wiring it all with Spring/Toplink etc...
    Anyway, I'm a bit lost when trying to do the following:
    I want to create a webbased database management thingie. Easy mode. One table, 2 fields etc...
    However, I'm completely lost at how to start.
    I'm perfectly capable to create my Bean, Dao, DaoImpl and even a service layer above that which gives access to my Dao.
    Other then that I'm, after some nice tutorials, capable in creating my FLEX-Gui to show it all.
    What's the problem then?
    Well, I have no idea what I need to do with my Java classes to make sure I can use them in my Flex App...
    How do I need to create the war that needs to be deployed on my Tomcat?
    Do I "NEED" to create JSP pages?
    What is needed in my Service Layer to make it accessible by Flex?
    What do I need to add in my Flex project to use that War? I need to point towards a 'war-location' when creating a J2EE based Flex application in Eclipse...
    Anyway, I hope the explanation and the questions are clear enough and not too 'noob-like' :)
    Lastly, I just want to add, that I've read chapter 5 in the "RIA with Adobe Flex and Java" book by Bruce Eckel, but he starts with a ready to use WAR so that doesn't help either :)
    Any replies appreciated!
    Regards,
    Peter

    No. I didn't define it, because the lesson didn't ask me to.
    I have however, since receiving your message, tried hard coding it,
    but that doesn't work either. What is port 2037 anyway?

  • Select fom table for all entries where field starts with value

    Hello
    I want to write a select like this
    select * from bsis

    where xblnr like lt_itab-belnr%
    I want to select all the entries from bsis where the field xblnr starts with the values found in lt_itab-belnr.
    for example
    ls_itab-belnr = 5100000028
    bsis-xblnr = 510000002810001
                        510000002810002

  • Potential bug in javamail + qmail when email body starts with dots

    I may have discovered a potential issue with using JavaMail + QMail server. It appears that if there is a message in my mailbox which starts with either one dot ('.') or a series of dots ('...hello there'), when I attempt to do a :
    inbox.fetch(messages, profile);
    I get the following JavaMail error:
    javax.mail.MessagingException: error getting size;
    nested exception is:
    java.io.IOException: Unexpected response: .
    at com.sun.mail.pop3.POP3Message.getSize(POP3Message.java:100)
    at com.sun.mail.pop3.POP3Folder.fetch(POP3Folder.java:369)
    This issue seems to only occur on qmail. When I try to read the same email starting with one or multiple leading dots, I can retreive it without any issues.
    Has anyone else experienced anything of the sort?

    Almost certainly it's a QMail bug. Turn on session
    debugging and
    examine the protocol trace to see what the server is
    really saying.
    If you need help interpreting it, send it to us at
    [email protected]
    or post it here.you might be right. here's the output from the javax.mail debug mode. note that it appears that qmail potentially returns the headers as well as an extraneous dot ('.') and that is what causes the whole issue:
    DEBUG: getProvider() returning javax.mail.Provider[STORE,pop3,com.sun.mail.pop3.POP3Store,Sun Microsystems, Inc]
    DEBUG POP3: connecting to host "mail.dynamomail.com", port 110, isSSL false

  • Get started with ABAP

    Hello Everyone,
    I started learning ABAP few days ago (my ABAP knowledge is zero), I went thru Amazon and there're millions of ABAP tutorials / books. Any recommended book for a starter like me? I do have SAP ECC 6.0 or 4.7 to practice and really need a helpful tutorial to go thru the syntax as well as the general concepts of ABAP to get started.
    I found this forums very helpful, cheers everyone!

    RFCs enable you to call and execute predefined functions in a remote system - or even in the same system.
    RFCs manage the communication process, parameter transfer and error handling.
